Episode 417: Sinnoh Final Battle!
On the very next day, Sora was doing some preperations for the semi-finals for the Sinnoh Pokémon League. He knew for certain noether Barry or Lucas will be easy since it got started. Sora saw how much stronger both Lucas and Barry has gotten since the beginning of the Sinnoh experience. Sora has exchanged five of his Pokémon for Marowak, Inteleon, Cinderace, Metagross, and Wobbuffett.
"Okay, Barry, I wanna see what you got," Sora said in his thoughts.
Barry has his Infernape, Floatzel, Snorlax, Roserade, Heracross, and Staraptor out of their Pokéballs.
"Alright, team, listen up! We are about to have the biggest battle of our lives! We are up againt a Pokémon trainer who won three Pokémon Leaguesl and with any luck we might put a damper on his winning streak! He has pretty strong Pokémon, but you guys are so much stronger and we will prove it once we go out there and bring him down and bring home that trophy!" Barry addressed his team. Infernape, Staraptor, Heracross, Roserade, Floatzel, and Snorlax all nodded as they were getting pumped up.
The semi-finals was now underway as Sora and Barry has entered the stadium for their battle.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the semi-finals has officially begun! We have our first match! We have Sora from Pallet Town up against Barry from Twin Leaf Town! Sora is upagainst the son of the Sinnoh Battle Frontier Brain, Palmer! This will be a full six-on-six battle, and the battle will be over when all six are unable to continue! Now, let's get this battle started!" The announcer announced. Sora and Barry waited for the referee to make it official.
"Choose your Pokémon and begin!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Staraptor! You're going in first!" Barry calle dout. Staraptor came out to battle. Sora looked over to his partner.
"You're up first, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu entered the battlefield against Staraptor.
"Barry has chosen Staraptor, Sora has chosen Pikachu! And judging by types, Sora has the advantage!" The announcer announced.
"Sora has the first move!" The referee announced.
"Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran towards Staraptor with his speed attack. Barry grinned.
"I thought he was going to start up with either Thunderbolt or Volt Tackle, but this is even better! Staraptor! Start up with Close Combat!" Barry ordered. The predator Pokémon waited for the mouse Pokémon to get close enough and delievered a series of hits with Close Combat.
"Staraptor starts off with Close Combat! That has got to hurt!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Staraptor! Use Steel Wing!" Barry ordered. Staraptor flew right towards Pikachu with Steel Wing.
"Pikachu! Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu avoids Straptor's Steel Wing just by jumping out of the way. "Now, use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt and shocks Staraptor greatly. "Now, use Iron Tail!" Pikachu jumps and swings his tail right at the predator Pokémon. Pikachu was about to land an Iron Tail on the predator Pokémon when it dodged at the last second.
"What a miracle on Barry's part! Staraptor has managed to dodge Pikachu's Iron Tail!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, now, use U-Turn!" Barry ordered. Staraptor flew right at Pikachu and lands a hit. Staraptor went back to Barry, and then Heracross randomly came on out to battle.
"Staraptor uses U-Turn, and dragged out Heracross!" The announcer announced.
"U-Turn?" Vorvomon asked.
"U-Turn is a move that can switch a random Pokémon from the trainer when it lands a successful hit. Barry must have been planning this," Terra said.
"Yes! I knew this will pay off! Heracross! Come at Pikachu with Megahorn!" Barry ordered. Heracross came charging at Pikachu with its horn, glowing light green.
"Dodge and use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu successfully dodges Heracross's attack and unleashed Thunderbolt.
"Dodge it, Heracross! Quick!" Barry called out. Heracross quickly avoids Pikachu's Thunderbolt.
"That was a close shave! Thunderbolt nearly strikes Heracross! Now, what does Barry have in store for Pikachu?" The announcer asked.
"Okay, Heracross! Use Arm Thrust!" Barry ordered. Heracross sends its arms out at Pikachu to land a hit.
"Dodge it, Pikachu!" Sora called out. Pikachu avoids Arm Thrust with his speed, but Pikachu gets hit by it a couple of times.
"Heracross has managed to land a hit with its Arm Thrust! This could be Heracross's chance!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Night Slash!" Barry ordered. Heracross comes at Pikachu with its claws emitting a dark aura.
"Pikachu! Attack!" Pikachu darts right at Heracross with Quick Attack before Heracross could land a hit.
"Pikachu lands a comeback with its Quick Attack! I can doubt Barry was bargaining for this!" The announcer announced.
"Hercross! Rock Slide!" Barry ordered. Heracross unleashed Rock Slide to land a hit on Pikachu.
"Pikachu! Dodge and use Quick Attack again!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids the rocks coming down and lands a dart attack onto the single horn Pokémon. "Now, use Volt Tackle!" Pikachu charges right at Heracross with Volt Tackle, and lands a successful hit. Pikachu has earned some recoil damage. Heracross attempts to get back up, but fell on its stomach, beaten. The referee raises the green flag.
"Heracross is unable to battle! Pikachu wins!" The referee announced.
"Pikachu has taken down Heracross despite taking some hits! Now Barry is down to five more Pokémon!" The announcer announced. Barry calls back Heracross.
"You were awesome, Heracross. Get some rest," Barry said, taking out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Pikachu's electricity won't withstand this! Go! Roserade!" Barry called out. Roserade came out to battle against Sora and his team.
"Barry's third Pokémon is his Roserade! Pikachu's electricity won't be able to do much damage on Roserade since it's a Grass Type!" The announcer announced.
"That's enough for now, Pikachu! Come back!" Sora said. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Okay, Marowak! Your turn!" Marowak came on out to battle against Barry's Roserade.
"Now Sora has sent out an Alolan Marowak, a Fire and a Ghost Type!" The announcer annoucned.
"What the?! That's a Marowak?!" Barry exclaimed in disbelief.
"Marowak! Shadow Bone!" Sora ordered. Marowak came charging right towards Roserade.
"Dodge and use Shadow Ball!" Barry orderd. Roserade avoids Marowak's Shadow Bone and struck him with Shadow Ball. Marowak wasn't going to go down that easily.
"Barry's Roserade can use Shadow Ball. Since it's a Ghost Type attack, it deals heavy damage to a Ghost Type Pokémon," Ventus said.
"Okay, Roserade! Use Poison Jab!" Barry ordered. Roserade comes art Marowak and lands a hit with Poison Jab. Marowak's body starts glowing, and Roserade became surrounded by a circle of dark aura.
"Barry's Roserade has triggered Marowak's ability, Cursed Body!" The announcer announced.
"What's Cursed Body?" Patamon asked.
"Cursed Body is an ability that is exclusive to Ghost Type Pokémon. It disables the last move that was used against it," Kairi explained.
"Why did I have to face off against a Pokémon that has Cursed Body?! Roserade! Use Shadow Ball!" Barry ordered. Roserade unleashed another Shadow Ball and sends it right at Marowak.
"Dodge and use Flame Wheel!" Sora ordered. Marowak avoids Roserade's Shadow Ball and came at Roserade with a wheel made of green flames.
"Marowak comes for Roserade with its Flame Wheel!" The announcer announced. Marowak lands a successful hit.
"Now, use Bonemerang!" Sora ordered. Marowak threw his bone and it struck Roserade on the spot. The bone comes back and beans Roserade again. "That was great! Now, use Fire Punch!" Marowak's fist emits green flames and lands a hit onto Roserade, finishing off the bouquet Pokémon. The referee raises the green flag.
"Roserade is unable to battle! Marowak wins!" The announcer announced.
"And that makes the second Pokémon Barry has lost to Sora! With four more remaining, Barry needs to get his act together if he wants to stay in this battle!" The announcer announced. Barry calls back Roserade.
"Man, this is much harder than I thought! No wonder Wally and Brendan had a hard time with him. But I'm one to bounce back!" Barry said, getting his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn, Floatzel!" Barry called out. Floatzel came on out to battle against Sora's team.
"And Pokémon number four is his Floatzel!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back Marowak and looks over to Pikachu.
"Okay, Pikachu, back to action!" Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said, returning to the battlefield. He stood before the sea weasel Pokémon.
"Sora sends Pikachu back out to battle against Floatzel since it's a Water Type!" The announcer announced.
"Floatzel! Use Crunch on Pikachu!" Barry ordered. Floatzel came right at Pikachu with Crunch.
"Dodge and use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids Floatzel's Crunch and unleashed Thunderbolt.
"Dodge with Aqua Jet!" Barry ordred. Floatzel avoids Thunderbolt by using Aqua Jet before Pikachu could land a hit with Thunderbolt.
"Floatzel avoids Pikachu's Thunderbolt by using Aqua Jet! A close save!" The announcer announced.
"Now, use Ice Fang!" Barry ordered. Floatzel came at Pikachu with its fangs emitting ice.
"Dodge and use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids Floatzel's Ice Fang and heads right towards Floatzel. Floatzel's floatation sacs inflates and Pikachu bounces right off.
"Floatzel blocks off Pikachu's direct attack with its flotation sacs!" The annoucner announced. Barry laughed.
"I knew you were going to try that, Sora! I spent lots of time building up on Floatzel's defenses!" Barry said.
"Yeah, it shows! You did a great job!" Sora said. "Okay, Pikachu! Try again! But use Volt Tackle!" Pikachu ran towards Floatzel with Volt Tackle.
"No more dodging! Floatzel! Use Aqua Jet!" Barry ordered. Floatzel darts towards Pikachu with Aqua Jet.
"Flaotzel is going all out with Pikachu, not showing any fears of Volt Tackle! What could be going through Barry's head?" The announcer questioned. Both Piakchu and Barry both landed a hit. Flaotzel manages to overpower Pikachu's Volt Tackle, causing some heavy damage with its Aqua Jet. "Floatzel has overpowered Pikachu's Volt Tackle! This is so intense!" Pikachu struggles to stand on his feet.
"Pikachu has taken a lot of damage from that one hit. I have got to try to take Floatzel down! Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt.
"Dodge and use Brick Break!" Barry ordered. Floatzel avoids Pikachu's Thunderbolt and lands a Brick Break onto Pikachu, making him go right up against a wall. Pikachu has been taken down. The referee raises the red flag.
"Pikachu is unable to battle! Floatzel wins!" The referee announced.
"Barry continues to make his comeback against Sora's efforts! Barry's luck is really turning around for him!" The announcer announced.
"Luck has nothing to do with it. Barry has gve it a lot of effort in this battle," Sora said in his thoughts. Pikachu went right back to Sora's side.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said sadly. He pets Pikachu on the head.
"Don't worry about it, buddy. You did your best," Sora said. Piakchu beamed, feeling better about losing. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Wobbufett!" Wobbufett came out to battle.
"Sora's next Pokémon is Wobbufett! This patient Pokémon may not be able to land an attack, but it can reflect them back!" The announcer announced.
"Wobbufett is a Psychic Type, so it's a good thing Floatzel knows Crunch! Floatzel! Use Crunch!" Barry ordered. Floatzel came right towards Wobbufett with Crunch.
"Wobbufett! use Counter!" Sora ordered. Wobbufett raises his black tail and blocks Floatzel's Crunch, dealing heavy damage.
"Wobbufett blocks with its Counter!" The announcer announced.
"Floatzel! Brick Break!" Barry ordered. Floatzel came right at Wobbufett.
"Counter again!" Sora ordered. Wobbufett blocks Brick Break with Counter. Floatzel has delt some more damage.
"Floatzel! Use Ice Fang!" Barry ordered. Floatzel came right Wobbufett again.
"Counter, one more time!" Sora ordered. Wobbufett uses Counter and it blocks Floatzel's attack, earning a knockout. The referee raises the green flag.
"Floatzel is unable to battle! Wobbufett wins!" The referee announced.
"Wobbufett's patience has paid off since Wobbufett trumps Floatzel with a continuous use of Counter!" The referee annoucned.
"Barry has lost half his team, while Sora still has five of his! What hope could Barry have to use against this Pokémon!" The announcer asked. Barry calls back Floatzel.
"Man, how could I forget about Counter? No use crying over spilled milk," Barry said, taking out a Pokéball. "Your turn now, Staraptor!" Barry's Staraptor comes back out to battle against Wobbufett.
"Staraptor comes back out to battle against Sora! With Pikachu eliminated from the battle thanks to Floatzel, Staraptor has nothing to worry about!" The annoucner announced.
"Staraptor! Use Aerial Ace!" Barry ordered. Staraptor darts right towards Wobbufett with lightning fast speed.
"Counter!" Sora ordered. Wobbufett blocks Aerial Ace with Counter, dealing some damage.
"Right! Counter! I'll have to switch around, to play it safe!" Barry said, trying to call back Staraptor. He couldn't do so, so it confuses Barry. "Come on! Return! Return I say! Why won't Staraptor come back?"
"Barry's attempt to recall Staraptor is in vain since Wobbufett's Shadow Tag is in effect!" The announcer announced.
"Shadow Tag?" Armadillomon asked.
"Shadow Tag is an ability that Wobbufett has to prevent a Pokémon from getting away. It's the same as Mean Look," Aqua said.
"Another thing about Wobbufett I totally forgot about. And every time I try a move, it gets thrown back in my face. Maybe, I can try a different approach. Staraptor! Grab Wobbufett by the tail!" Barry called out. Staraptor flew right towards Wobbufett.
"Get ready, Wobbufett!" Sora said. Staraptor goes pass Wobbufett's defenses and grabs the patient Pokémon by the tail in its talons.
"Now, Staraptor is taking Wobbufett for a lift! What does he have up his sleeve?" The announcer asked.
"Now, drop it!" Barry ordered. Staraptor drops Wobbufett right to the ground. Sora had to think fast.
"Wobbufett! Use Destiny Bond!" Sora ordered. Wobbufett's gave off a purple aura, surrounding Staraptor. Wobbufett was down for the count, but Staraptor fell to the ground, beaten as well. The referee raises both flags.
"Staraptor and Wobbufett are both unable to battle! This round is a draw!" The referee announced.
"Sora and Barry suffered a loss thanks to Wobbufett's Destiny Bond!" The announcer announced.
"What's Destiny Bond?" Guilmon asked.
"Destiny Bond is a move that takes the opponent down with the Pokémon that takes it down," Terra said.
"I thought Wobbufett could only use Counter, not Destiny Bond," Meowth said.
"You would think that through Jessie's Wobbufett. Wobbufett can also use Mirror Coat and Safegaurd as well," Aqua said.
Sora calls back Wobbufett and looked at his Pokéball.
"You did a great job, Wobbufett. Get a deserved rest," Sora said. Barry calls back Staraptor.
"You were awesome, Staraptor. Get some rest," Barry said. He took out his next Pokéball. "Okay, Snorlax! Your turn!"
"Barry's fifth Pokémon is Snorlax! Barry is willing to throw his weight around in this battle!" The announcer announced. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn now, Cinderace!" Sora called out. Cinderace came out to battle against Snorlax.
"Sora fourth Pokémon is Cinderace! This should be an intereting battle!" The annoucner announced.
"Okay, CInderace! use Low Sweep!" Sora ordered. Cinderace came at Snorlax with Low Sweep, ready to strike it.
"Dodge and use High Horsepower!" Barry ordered. Snorlax avoids Cinderace's High Horsepower and came charging towards the striker Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Cinderace jumps to avoid Snorlax's High Horsepower. It was a close call for the rabbit-like Pokémon.
"Snorlax's High Horsepower misses Cinderace. It was thanks to its great speed and agility that saved it!" The announcer announced.
"Snorlax! Come at Cinderace with Body Press!" Barry ordered. Snorlax heads towards Cinderace to land a heavy hit with its body.
"Dodge and use Blaze Kick!" Sora ordered. Cinderace avoids Snorlax's Body Press and lands a kick onto the sleeping Pokémon. Snorlax was now burned.
"Cinderace lands a red hot Blaze Kick, and now Snorlax has ended up being burned!" The announcer announced.
"Snorlax! Use Rest!" Barry ordered. Snorlax fells asleep and heals itself.
"Snorlax now uses Rest to heal itself from its burns!" The annoucner annoucned.
"Cinderace! Use Pyro Ball!" Sora ordered. Cinderace kicks up a pebble around, until it caught fire. Cinderace kept kicking the ball of fire and kicks it right at Snorlax, landing a hit.
"Snorlax! Use Sleep Talk!" Barry ordered. Snorlax stood up and came at Cinderace with High Horsepower. Snorlax lands a heavy hit onto Cinderace.
"Snorlax lands a super-effective hit with High Horsepower through Sleep Talk!" The announcer announced. Snorlax wakes up. "And now Snorlax woke up!"
"Cinderace! Use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Cinderace comes right at Snorlax with Quick Attack. Cinderace darts Snorlax repeatedly.
"Now, use Body Press!" Barry ordered. Snorlax came running towards Cinderace and moves to press its body against Cinderace. The striker Pokémon was quickly caught in the attack. Snorlax gets back up. "High Horsepower!" Snorlax came right at Cinderace with High Horsepower, and lands a heavy hit. Cinderace was taken down. The referee raises the red flag.
"Cinderace is unable to battle! Snorlax wins!" The announcer announced.
"Snorlax takes down Cinderace with a combination of Body Press and High Horsepower!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back CInderace and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Marowak! Back to action!" Sora called out. Marowak came back out to battle against Snorlax.
"Marowak is sent back out to battle against this sleeping giant! Since Marowak is a Ghost Type, Body Press will have zero effect on it!" The annoucner announced.
"Snorlax! High Horsepower!" Barry ordered. Snorlax came right at Marowak with High Horsepower.
"Dodge and use Flame Wheel!" Sora ordered. Marowak jumped to avoid Snorlax's attack. Marowak comes at Snorlx with Flame Wheel. Snorlax gets hit by the wheel of green flames. "Now, use Bonemerang!" Marowak threw his bone right at the sleeping Pokémon.
"Snorlax! High Horsepower again!" Barry ordered. Snorlax came right at Marowak and ladns ahit with its attack, knocking Marowak out. The referee reiases the red flag.
"Marowak is unable to battle! Snorlax wins!" The referee announced.
"Barry has now brought Sora down to two more Pokémon left to use! Now, which one will Sora will use next?" The announcer asked. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn now, Metagross!" Sora called out. Metagross came out to battle.
"Sora's fifth Pokémon is Metagross! Metagross's characteristics as a Steel Type, will make it an easy target for High Horsepower!" The announcer announced.
"That Metagross looks pretty strong even with Snorlax being bale to use High Horsepower. Better have Snorlax use Rest just to play it safe. Snorlax! Use Rest!" Barry ordered. Snorlax falls back to sleep and regained its stamina. "Okay, Snorlax! use Sleep Talk!" Snorlax comes right at Metagross with Body Press.
"Metagross! Use Psychic!" Sora ordered. Metagross blocks with Psychic. Metagross slams Snorlax down on the ground. Snorlax wakes up.
"Snorlax! Use High Horsepower!" Barry ordered. Snorlax starts running towards Metagross with High Horsepower.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Metagross avoids Snorlax's attack. Metagross floats up in the air.
"Metagross avoids Snorlax's High Horsepower while it's levitating up in the air!" The announcer announced.
Remembering the Mega Stone for Metagross, he took it out and he held it tight.
"Metagross, let my strength and yours become one! Mega Evolution!" Sora called out. Metagross started to transform. Metagross now levitates in the air, and its four legs are now converted into arms. A spike is attached to its lower jaw. Its arm claws are longer and the X on its face is gold-colored. Four smaller legs are moved backward as well.
"We are witnessing another Mega Evolution! Mega Metagross!" The announcer announced.
"He used that trick on Tidus!" Barry exclaimed. "Sora never used those in the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn Pokémon Leagues! Doesn't matter to me! Snorlax! Use High Horsepower!" Snorlax came running towards Mega Metagross again.
"Okay, Mega Metagross! Use Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Mega Metagross unleashed Flash Cannon, and it came back even more powerful than before. Snorlax took heavy damage from the attack. "Now, use Meotoer Mash!" Mega Metagross lands a Meteor Mash on the sleeping Pokémon. "Finish up with Metal Claw!" Mega Metagross swipes at Snorlax with Metal Claw. Snorlax has taken so much damage from Mega Metagross's attacks.
"Mega Metagross has given Snorlax a whole lot of damage, and unless it uses Rest again, it's all over!" The annoucner announced.
"Snorlax! Try to use Rest again!" Barry ordered.
"Mega Metagross! Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Mega Metagross unleashed Flash Cannon and struck Snorlax before it could fall alseep to regain its stamina. Snorlax has been taken down. The referee raises the red flag.
"Snorlax is unable to battle! Mega Metagross wins!" The referee announced.
"Now, Barry is now down to one more Pokémon! Barry can only hope this last one will turn it around for him!" The announcer announced. Barry calls back Snorlax, and took out Infernape's Pokéball.
"This is it, Infernape. You and I were ready for this since day one. The battle might be almost over, but for you, it's just getting started," Barry said, throwing his Pokéball. "Go! Infernape!" The Pokéball opens and Infernape came on out to battle.
"Now, Barry's sixth and final Pokémon is Infernape! Infernape has done so much for Barry since the tournament's start and now let's see if it'll let Infernape win this!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, Infernape! Use Focus Blast!" Barry ordered. Infernape forms a ball of energy and hurls it right at the Mega Evolved Pokémon.
"Psychic!" Sora ordered. Mega Metagross blocks Focus Blast with Psychic. Barry grinned.
"Took the bait! Okay, Infernape! Use Flamethrower! Turn up the heat!" Barry ordered. Infernape unleashed Flamethrower and it struck Mega Metagross hard.
"Focus Blast was a deversion, and Flamethrower lands a hit! An impressive plan!" The announcer announced.
"Focus Blast was a trick. Not bad. Mega Metagross! Use Metoer Mash!" Sora ordered. Mega Metagross heads towards Infernape with Meoteor Mash.
"Aerial Ace!" Barry ordered. Infernape lands a hit with Aerial Ace. "Now, use Shadow Claw!" Infernape slashes at Mega Metagross with Shadow Claw, earning heavy damage.
"Infernape is really giving it to Mega Metagross!" The announcer announced. Infernape gave Mega Metagross one more Shadow Claw and it was enough to bring Mega Metagross down. Mega Metagross reverts back to Metagross as the referee raises the red flag.
"Metagross is unable to battle! Infernape wins!" The referee announced.
"Now both trainers are down to one Pokémon remaining! Only one of them is going to make it all the way to the final battlefield! The question is, which one?" THe annoucner asked. Sora calls back Metagross.
"Get some rest, Metagross. You'll need it," Sora said, taking out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Your turn now, Inteleon!" Inteleon has entered the battlefield against Infernape.
"Sora's final Pokémon is Inteleon! A Water Type should have the advantage over Infernape!" The announcer announced.
"There's no question that little Sobble has evolved all the way to Inteleon, just like Scorbunny had evolved all the way to Cinderace. I gotta win this! Lucas has to win his next battle or else everything I did up to this point would be for nothing! Infernape! Shadow Claw!" Barry ordered. Infernape comes right towards Inteleon with Shadow Claw.
"Infernape makes the first move against Inteleon!" The announcer announced.
"Dodge and use Acrobatics!" Sora ordered. Inteleon avoids Infernape's SHadow Claw and lands a hit with Acrobatics. "Now, use Snipe Shot!" Inteleon unleashed Snipe Shot and lands a hit.
"Sora takes advantage to Infernape's weakness to Water and Flying Type moves! Acrobatics and Snipe Shot deals some heavy damage!" The announcer announced.
"Infernape! Aerial Ace!' Barry ordered. Infernape comes at Inteleon with Aerial Ace. "Now, use Focus Blast!" Infernape hurls Focus Blast and it lands a hit. Intelon has taken some serious damage from those hits.
"Inteleon! Use Water Pulse!" Sora ordered. Inteleon unleashed Water Pulse and the water attack lands a hit, causing Infernape to become confused.
"Now, Infernape's confused from the effects of Water Pulse!" The announcer announced.
"Infernape! use Flamethrower!" Barry ordered. Infernape unleashed Flamethrower right at Inteleon, despite its confusion.
"Dodge and use Snipe Shot!" Sora ordered. Inteleon fired Snipe Shot and it struck Infernape hard. "Snipe Shot again!" Intelon iunleashed Snipe Shot and it lands a hit. Infernape fell to his side, and managed to get back up on his feet. Infernape growls. Infernape shook off his confusion.
"Infernape's just taking the assault from Inteleon's Snipe Shot, and it's still standing on its feet! How much longer can it go on?" The annoucner asked.
"Infernape! Use Aerial Ace!" Barry ordered. Infernape lands Aerial Ace onto Inteleon. "Again!" Infernape lands another hit with Aerial Ace again and again. "Yes, keep it up until Intelon goes down!" Infernape keeps it up as Inteloen was about to finish INtelon off when Sora spoke up.
"Acrobatics!" Sora ordered. Inteleon uses his acrobatic skills to cancel out Infernape's Aerial Ace. Inteleon's body gives off a blue aura.
"Inteleon has activated Torrent. That means its Water Type attacks will be much stronger than normal," Barry said in his thoughts.
"Inteleon! Use Snipe Shot!" Sora ordered.
"Infernape! Use Aerial Ace!" Barry ordered.
Infernape dashed right at Inteleon, just when he unleashed Snipe Shot. The attack struck Infernape hard, coming out much stronger than before. "Snipe Shot, again and again!" Inteleon kept firing Snipe Shot at Infernape again and again. Inteleon ceased fire and looked right at Infernape. The flame Pokémon tried to stand on his feet, but he fell on the ground. The referee raises the green flag.
"Infernape is unable to battle! Inteleon wins! Sora wins the battle!" The referee announced.
"Sora has made it all the way to the final round! Our next battle shall begin shortly!" The annoucner announced. Barry helped Infernape up.
"Infernape, you were awesome," Barry said. Infernape responded sadly. "You gave it your all. That's all I could ask of you." Barry calls Infernape back. "I can't believe I lost, after everything I did to make it!" Barry rubs his hands through his hair. A few minutes later, Barry sat on a bench. "I guess it's over. I wanted to show my metal against Sora and I failed miserably. Everything I did was all for nothing."
"No it wasn't," Sora said. Barry turned to Sora. "You gave it everything you had, Barry. You almost had me."
"I did everything right and I lost big time. Looks like I'm never going to make it big with my dad," Barry said.
"Your dad would be proud of you, Barry. I can bet if he were watching, he would give you all kinds of praise," Sora said.
"He's right, son," a familiar voice spoke. The two boys turned to see Palmer standing there. "I was watching, and I'm proud of you. I have always been proud of you, Barry. Everything you did wasn't for nothing. You showed Sora your strength, and you didn't accept defeat as an option. Win or lose, you're always a winner to me." Barry smiled.
"Dad," Barry said, hugging his father.
"Son," Palmer said, hugging his son back. Sora wished he had the relationship with his own father. Sora went for the Pokémon Center to pick up his Pokémon.
By the time Sora has picked them up, Lucas had already won his battle.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the semi-finals has been concluded! The time has come for the final match against these two young trainers: Sora from Pallet Town in Kanto, and Lucas from Twinleaf Town, right here in Sinnoh! Which one will be bringing home the gold and which one will home will be retrieving the silver?" The annoucner asked. "The final match will begin within one hour!" Sora took out his Pokémon Box and exchanged his entire team, excpet for Pikachu for Magmotar, Garchomp, Empoleon, Zeraora, and Abaomasnow.
"Go get him, Sora!" The DIgimon all said.
"Bring home the gold, Sora!" Meowth said.
"Win or lose, I'll always be proud of you," Cattleya said.
"Here's a little something for uck, not that you'll need it," Kairi said, kissing her boyfriend on the cheek.
"Thanks, Kairi. Thanks, everyone. I'm planning on going out there, swinging," Sora said.
Over to Lucas and Dawn...
"You're going to root for me, aren't you?" Lucas asked his girlfriend.
"Always," Dawn asnwered. Dawn wore her cheerleader outfit. Piplup, Buneary, Ambipom, and Pachirisu all wore their cheerleader outfits. "I'm rooting for you because you're number one!" Lucas smiled.
"Thanks, Dawn. You're the best," Lucas said. He gave Dawn a kiss on the lips and set off for his battle against Sora.
"You're the best, Lucas," Dawn said.
"And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! Which one of these two will be winning the Sinnoh Pokémon League Championship? Will it be Sora to make it four in a row, or Lucas who will bring home the gold?! That's what we are here to find out!" The announcer announced.
"Choose your Pokémon and begin the battle!" The referee announced. Lucas took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Luxray!" Lucas called out. Luxray came out to battle.
"Go! Magmotar!" Sora called out.
Luxray and Magmotoar both came out to battle each other. Stars swirls around Magmortar upon entry.
"Lucas gets the first move!" The referee announced.
"Luxray! Use Charge Beam!" Lucas ordered.
"Magmotar! Use Hyper Beam!" Sora ordered. Magmotar unleashed Hyper Beam and the two attacks collides with another, resulting in an explosion.
"Magmotar unleashed Hyper Beam, Luxray unleashed Charge Beam! It's a matter of who will still be standing!" The announcer announced. The smoke clears as Magmotar and Luxray were both taken out on the first turn. The referee raises both flags.
"Magmotar and Luxray are both unable to battle! This round is a draw!" The referee announced.
"Wow! Both trainers lost their first on the very first try!" The announcer announced. Sora and Lucas call back their fallen Pokémon and each took out a new Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn now, Arcanine!" Lucas called out. Arcanine came out to battle against Sora's team.
"Go! Empoleon!" Sora called out. Empoleon came out to battle.
"Both trainers are using their second Pokémon to battle! Empoleon has the advantage as being a Water Type!" The announcer announced.
"Arcanine! Flame Charge!" Lucas ordered. Flame Charge charges towards Empoleon with Flame Charge.
"Dodge and use Hydro Pump!" Sora ordered. Empoleon dodges and unleashed Hydro Pump right at the legendary Pokémon. Arcanine got hit hard by Hydro Pump.
"Empoleon lands a direct hit with Hydro Pump!" The announcer announced.
"Arcanine! Use Flamethrower!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine unleashed Flamethrower.
"Dodge and use Bubble Beam!" Sora ordered. Empoleon unleashed Bubble Beam and it struck Arcanine hard. "Now, use Metal Claw!" Empoleon swipes Metal Claw right at Arcanine.
"Empoleon has Arcanine on the ropes! What can Arcanine do to get itself out of the corner it's in!" The announcer announced.
"Arcanine! Flame Charge!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine charged right at Empoleon and raises its speed. "Flame Charge again!" Arcanine went at Empoleon with Flame Charge. Arcanine's speed goes up again.
"Arcanine makes good use of its Fire Type attacks on Empoleon!" The announcer announced.
"Empoleon! Use Hydro Pump!" Sora ordered.
"Flamethrower!" Lucas ordered.
Empoleon and Arcanine unleashed Flamethrower and Hydro Pump and blocked each other. Both held on with all their might. They held on as Hydro Pump overpowered Flamethrower and lands a hit onto Arcanine.
"Empoleon's Hydro Pump overpowers Arcanine's Flamethrower, and Arcanine has taken all sorts of damage!" The announcer announced.
"Extreme Speed!" Lucas ordered. Arcanine dashed right at Empoleon, and landing a hit.
"Flash Cannon!" Sora ordered. Empoleon unleashed Flash Cannon right at Arcanine, taking it out. The referee raises the green flag.
"Arcanine is unable to battle! Empoleon wins!" The referee announced.
"And Lucas loses Pokémon number two!" The announcer announced. Lucas calls back Arcanine and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn, Staraptor!" Lucas called out. Staraptor came out to battle.
"Lucas's third Pokémon is Staraptor! Will Sora keep Empoleon out, or will he switch with an Electric Type, like Pikachu?" The announcer asked. Sora calls back Empoleon and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Okay, you're going in now, Zeraora!" Sora called out. Zeraora came out to battle.
"Sora's third Pokémon is Zeraora, an Electric Type!" The announcer announced.
"Staraptor! Use Aerial Ace!" Lucas ordered. Staraptor darts right at Zeraora and it took a bad hit.
"Zeraora! Use Spark!" Sora ordered. Zeraora charges right at Staraptor with electricity and lands a hit. "Now, use Thunder Punch!" Zeraora came right at Staraptor, but the predator Pokémon dodges. Lucas calls back Staraptor and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Gliscor!" Lucas called out. Gliscor came out to battle.
"Lucas switches Staraptor with Gliscor! Lucas has made the smart decision to switch Staraptor with Gliscor to cancel out Electric Type attacks!" The announcer announced. Sora calls back Zeraora.
"Your attacks won't do a thing against Gliscor," Sora said. He took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Your turn now, Abamasnow!" Abaomasnow came on out to battle against Gliscor. It started to hail. Gliscor got pelted by Hail.
"Sora now switches Zeraora with Abomasnow, leaving Gliscor vulnerable to Ice Type attacks!" The announcer announced. Sora used the Mega Stone to make Abomasnow Mega Evolve.
"Share my strength with Abomasnow! Mega Evolve!" Sora called out. The sprouts on Abomasnow's back grew larger.
"Abomasnow has Mega Evolved!" The announcer announced.
"Gliscor! Use Fire Fang!" Lucas ordered. Glisocr came flying right at Mega Abomasnow with Fire Fang.
"Lucas takes advantage Abomasnow's weakness to fire with Fire Fang!" The announcer announced.
"Mega Abomasnow! Use Blizzard!" Sora ordered. Mega Abomasnow unleashed Blizzard and it blows Gliscor back.
"Mega Abomasnow is making things harder for Gliscor to attack!" The announcer announced.
"Man, if Sora has taken out Arcanine, Blizzard wouldn't have this problem! But that won't stop me! Gliscor! Hyper Beam!" Gliscor unleashed Hyper Beam.
"Dodge and use Ice Punch!" Sora called out. Mega Abomasnow moved to avoid Gliscor's Hyper Beam, but he got hit hard by the attack.
"Abomasnow attempted to dodge, but it got hit by Gliscor's Hyper Beam! That has got to hurt!" The announcer announced.
"Try to use Ice Punch!" Sora ordered. Abomasnow moved in to deliever Ice Punch.
"Since Gliscor can't move after using Hyper Beam, Gliscor is wide open for Mega Abomasnow to attack with that Ice Punch!" The announcer announced.
"Dodge it! Hurry!" Lucas called out. Gliscor moved to avoid Mega Abomasnow's Ice Punch. "That was close!"
"A close shave for Gliscor! That would have been a pretty bad hit for Gliscor an Lucas!" The announcer announced.
"Okay, use Steel Wing!" Lucas ordered. Staraptor flew right at Mega Abomasnow.
"Blizzard!" Sora ordered. Mega Abomasnow unleashed Blizzard right at Gliscor and lands a hit. Gliscor has been taken down at last. The referee raises the green flag.
"Gliscor is unable to battle! Mega Abomasnow wins!" The referee announced.
"And Gliscor makes three Lucas has lost to Sora! With three more left to use, Lucas will have to make a comeback and fast!" The announcer announced. Lucas calls back Gliscor and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Your time has come, Floatzel!" Lucas called out. Floatzel came on out to battle Mega Abomasnow next.
"Lucas has now sent out Floatzel to go against Mega Abomasnow; but it looks like it's a grave mistake since Abomasnow is also a Grass Type!" The announcer annoucned.
"Mega Abomasnow! Use Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered. Mega Abomasnow unleashed Razor Leaf right at Floatzel.
"Dodge with Aqua Jet!" Lucas ordered. Mega Abomasnow's Razor Leaf misses. "Now, use Razor Wind!" Floatzel unleashed Razor Wind and lands a hit. "Finish it with Ice Punch!" Floatzel unleashed Ice Punch onto Mega Abomasnow, and fell on its side. The hail stops. Mega Abomasnow reverts back to normal as the referee raises the red flag.
"Abomasnow is unable to battle! Floatzel wins!" The referee annoucned.
"Floatzel has overcome Abomasnow, and is making a huge comeback against Sora! Lucas must be patting himself on the back!" The announcer annoucned. Sora calls back Abomasnow.
"You did great, Abomasnow. Get some rest," Sora said. He took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Zeraora! Back to action!" Zeraora comes back out to battle.
"Zeraora comes back out to battle, and it's against Floatzel!" The announcer announced.
"Floatzel! Use Ice Punch!" Lucas ordered. Floatzel came at Zeraora with Ice Punch.
"Zeraora! Plasma Fists!" Sora ordered. Zeraora's fists become surrounded in light blue electricity and then it slams its fists onto the ground, sending a stream of light blue electricity through the ground and towards Floatzel. The sea weasel Pokémon gets a bad shock.
"Zeraora gets struck by Plasma FIsts! This move turns all its Normal Type moves into Electric Type moves!" The announcer announced.
"Use Slash!" Sora ordered. Zeraora swipes at Floatzel and Floatzel, landing a super-effective hit.
"Zeraora lands a powerful Slash onto Floatzel!" The announcer announced.
"Floatzel! Use Ice Punch!" Lucas ordered.
"Zeraora! Use Thunder Punch!" Sora ordered.
Zeraora and Floatzel charge at each other and lands the finishing blow onto each other, resulting in a double knockout. The referee raises both flags.
"Floatzel and Zeraora are both unable to battle! This round is a draw!" The referee announced.
"Sora and Lucas has once again! Lucas has two left, as Sora has three!" The announcer announced. Lucas calls back Floatzel and Sora calls back Zeraora.
"Rest up, Zeraora. You did your best," Sora said.
"You were awesome, Floatzel. Get some rest," Lucas said. He took out Staraptor's Pokéball and threw it. "You're going back out, Staraptor!" Staraptor came back out to battle. Sora looked over to Pikachu.
"Your turn, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said. He enters the battlefield, ready to go.
"Sora's fifth Pokémon is Pikachu! And he made the wise decison to use against a Flying Type," The announcer annoucned.
"Staraptor! Use Wing Attack!" Lucas ordered. Staraptor came down at Pikachu fast.
"Dodge and use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids Staraptor's Thunderbolt and lands a hit.
"Pikachu lands a super-effective hit onto Staraptor!" The announcer annoucned.
"Close Combat!" Lucas ordered. Staraptor started to give Pikachu a series of beatings with Close Combat. "Now, use Brave Bird!" Staraptor flew upwards and started to dive down with an orange aura.
"Staraptor dives down right at Pikachu with Brave Bird, hoping to land a hit!" The announcer annoucned.
"Use Volt Tackle!" Sora ordered. Pikachu charges right at Staraptor with Volt Tackle. The mouse Pokémon lands a successful hit. Staraptor goes flying upwards, and regains its balance. Pikachu has taken some recoil damage.
Pikachu has landed a successful hit with Volt Tackle, and Staraptor has taken a lot of damage! Pikachu also sufferes from recoil damage from the use of Volt Tackle!" The announcer announced.
"Staraptor! Can't risk another Brave Bird, but I'll use this instead. Aerial Ace!" Lucas ordered.
"Okay, Pikachu! Use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu jumps and does a little spin and lands a hit with Iron Tail on the predator Pokémon. "Now, use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt and it as enough to take down Staraptor. The referee raises the green flag.
"Staraptor is unable to battle! Pikachu wins!" The referee annoucned.
"Now Lucas has one more Pokémon left to use! Lucas has beenplaced in a corner, what's to be expected of the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn?" The announcer asked. Lucas calls Staraptor back and took out his sixth Pokéball.
"It's all or nothing. Torterra! Go!" Lucas called out. Torterra came on out to battle against Pikachu.
"Lucas's final Pokémon is Torterra! Torterra is a Grass and Ground Type, so Pikachu's Electric Type attacks won't do anything!" The announcer annoucned.
"Okay, Torterra! Use Leaf Storm!" Lucas ordered. Torterra unleashed Leaf Storm right at the mouse Pokémon.
"Dodge with Quick Attack and use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran to avoid Leaf Storm and lands a hit with Iron Tail on the legs. "Iron Tail again!" Pikachu swings his tail again.
"Torterra! Use Bulldoze!" Lucas ordered. Torterra slams his feet on the ground, making the ground shake. Pikachu gets hit bad by Bulldoze. "Now, use Solar Beam!" Torterra charges up Solar Beam, and unleashed the beam of solar energy, striking Pikachu hard. Pikachu has been taken out. The referee raises the red flag.
"Pikachu is unable to battle! Torterra wins!" The referee annoucned.
"Now, Sora has two more left! Which one is coming out to battle?" The announcer asked. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Garchomp!" Sora called out. Garchomp has entered the battlefield.
"Sora's sixth Pokémon is Garchomp! Both trainers are using Ground Types!" The announcer announced.
"Torterra! Use Leaf Storm!" Lucas ordered. Torterra unleashed Leaf Storm right at Garchomp.
"Dig!" Sora ordered. Garchomp dug underground to avoid Leaf Storm.
"Garchomp avoids Leaf Storm by using Dig!" The announcer annoucned.
"Bulldoze!" Lucas ordered. Torterra slams on the ground, making the ground shae, and forced Garchomp out. "Use Solar Beam!" Torterra starts to charge up energy to fire at the mach Pokémon.
"Garchomp! Use Dragon Rush!" Sora ordered. Garchomp charges right at Torterra with Dragon Rush. Just when Garchomp as close enough, Torterra unleashed Solar Beam. Garchomp was taken down. The referee raises the red flag.
"Garchomp is unable to battle! Torterra wins!" The referee announced.
"Both trainers are down to one more Pokémon left! It's just about anyone's guess who's going to win!" The announcer announced. Sora took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Empoleon! Back to action!" Sora called out. Empoleon came back out to battle.
"And Empoleon comes back out to battle! Empoleon is at a disadvantage since it's a Steel Type!" The announced.
"Torterra! use Bulldoze!" Lucas ordered. Torterra slams on the ground again.
"Dodge and use Drill Peck!" Sora ordered. Empoleon spins around and heads right at the continent Pokémon.
"Use Leaf Storm!" Lucas ordered. Torterra unleashed Leaf Storm, but Empoleon cuts through the leaves, and lands a hit.
"Drill Peck lands a super-effective hit!" The announcer announced.
"Solar Beam!" Lucas ordered. Torterra gets ready to build up solar energy to fire at Empoleon.
"Get ready, Empoleon," Sora said. Empoleon nodded.
"Torterra is building up energy to use Solar Beam! What could Sora be planning to counter against Torterra's Solar Beam! This is getting exciting!" The annoucner announced. Torterra fires Solar Beam right at Empoleon.
"Now! Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Empoleon uses Metal Claw to cut through Solar Beam and charges towards the tortoise-like Pokémon. Empoleon slashes with Metal Claw, landing a hit onto Torterra.
"Torterra! Bulldoze!" Lucas ordered.
"Flash Cannon! Sora ordered. Empoleon unleashed Flash Cannon and it struck Torterra hard. Torterra has taken heavy damge. "Wrap it up with Drill Peck!" Empoleon spins around and lands a hit onto Torterra.
"Empoleon has landed a heavy-hitting attack with both Flash Cannon and Drill Peck! The announcer announced.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Sora ordered. Empoleon unleashed a powerful Hydro Pump and it struck Torterra hard. Empoleon kept spewing water as Torterra was literally being washed up. Empoleon stopped firing Hydro Pump and stared right at Torterra. Torterra stared right at Empoleon for a moment before it fell on the ground, beaten. The referee raises the green flag.
Torterra is unable to battle! Empoleon wins! The winner of the battle is Sora!" The referee announced.
"Not only Sora has won the battle, but he won the entire Sinnoh Pokémon League! That makes four that Sora has won! History has officially been made!" The announcer annoucned as the crowd cheered. Kairi and Ventus cheered hard especially hard. Cattleya was recording the battle the whole battle from start to finish.
In the Digital World, all the Digimon there were watching the tournament from start to finish and they were cheering for Sora. Leomon was impressed by Sora's victory.
"Well done, Sora," Leomon said.
The closing ceremonies commences as Sora accepts the championship trophy from Cynthia.
"Congratulations, Sora. You should be proud," Cynthia said.
"We thank you all for being a part of this spectacular tournament and hope to see you all here next year! Until then, keep on training!" The annoucner announced.
The group were leaving the tournament grounds as Lucas and Dawn were standing with their friends.
"Congratulations, Sora. You deserved to win that," Lucas said.
"Thanks, Lucas. You were good out there, and that battle we had is living proof," Sora said.
"So, now that the Sinnoh Pokémon League and the Grand Festival are over, what will all of you do now?" Dawn asked.
"Well, the thing to do is head back home to Kanto since Kairi and I met our goals," Sora said.
"I have a video to show my husband, so we can watch it when we get home," Cattleya said.
"Also, since the war is over, we can head back home to the Digital World, but we're in no rush," Agumon said.
"Well, we are," Vorvomon said. "We still have some time to serve."
"Yeah," the Dracomon Brothers said. A Digital gate opens as Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaoon, Lalamon, Agunimon, Lobomon, Kazemon, Beetlemon, Kumamon, and Loweemon all entered with Vorvomon and the Dracomon Brothers.
"Well see you at home," Guilmon said.
"Tell Leomon we said hi," Ventus said.
"We will," Kumamon said. The Digital gate closes as the rest has started to head back home. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill headed for Snowpoint City to have a word with Paul and promised to meet up with each other another time. Lucas and Dawn all headed back to Twinleaf Town as Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Cattleya, and the rest of the Digimon all took a ship bound for Kanto. But, it was not before Cattleya has taken a photo of the entire group before they left.
Now that the adventures in the Sinnoh region has ended, the world would have to breathe a sigh of relief since Team Galactic, Hunter J, Myosimon, and AxeKnightmon were no longer a threat to anyone, so the memories of their Sinnoh experience will forever be in thier memories.
