Episode 435: Battling For The Love of Bug-Types!
After earning his third Gym Badge from the Virbank City Gym by defeating Roxie and her Poison Type Pokémon, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Iris, Cilan, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew all make their way to return to Castelia City. As they were traveling, Meowth fails to notice that a Joltik has latched itself onto Meowth while he wasn't looking. He stops and scratches himself for a moment.
"Why do I feel itchy all of a sudden?" Meowth asked.
"Meowth, come on," Aqua said.
"I'm coming, I'm coming. Just thought I felt something," Meowth said.
"Are you getting a rash or something?" Aqua asked.
"I don't know," Meowth said.
"Maybe we could get Cilan have a look at you, or maybe, take you to the Pokémon Center, so that Nurse Joy could have a look at you," Aqua suggested.
"That'll be great," Meowth said.
Just when they were heading for Castelia City, they were stopped by a loud yell.
"Stop right there, civilians!" A new voice shouted. The voice belonged to a young man with a muscular physique. He wore a sleeveless green muscle shirt. He has a tanned appearance. He also wore beige combat pants, white wristbands with matching bands just above his feet, a bandanna featuring a dinosaur face, bone earrings, and a necklace of dinosaur bones. His hair consists of long, black dreadlocks.
"What the?" Sora asked.
"Draw your Pokéball!" The young man told Sora.
"Like this?" Sora asked, taking out a Pokéball. The young man was confused.
"Hold on! Ain't ya scared?" The young man asked.
"Scared of what?" Sora asked.
"Just who are you?" Ventus asked.
"Happy to oblige! The name's Hassleberry! Codename: Tyranno! And this my squad! Tyrunt and Tyrantrum!" Hassleberry said, taking out two of his Pokéballs and threw them. His Tyrunt and Tyrantrum both came on out.
"Who are those Pokémon?" Iris asked in amazement.
"A Tyrunt and a Tyrantrum," Cilan said.
"Both are prehistoric Pokémon," Terra said.
"This is the first time I have ever seen these two," Iris said.
"Now, choose your Pokémon and start battling!" Hassleberry said.
"Hold on! We were heading for Castelia City for a Gym battle," Sora said.
"The only way you're going to get there is through me, son!" Hassleberry said.
"Also, why are you calling me, son? We're around the same age!" Sora said.
"Enough talk! It's time to throw down! Are you ready to go?" Hassleberry asked.
"Sora, it doesn't look like he's going to let us go ahead until we agree with his terms," Kairi said.
"I think you're right. So, um, Hussleberry, wasn't it?" Sora asked.
"That's Hassleberry! You making fun of me?" Hassbleberry asked.
"Sorry. And no. Okay, how do you wanna do this?" Sora asked.
"Two of mine against two of yours! The first one I'm sending out is my Tryrunt!" Hassbleberry said, making Tyrunt step forward. Sora held his Pokéball out.
"Then, I'm sending out my Cubchoo!" Sora said. Cubchoo came on out to battle.
"That's a good pick since both of Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are both Dragon Types," Ventus said.
"That's true, Ven. I can't help but wonder what sort of ingredients he's got in store for him," Cilan said.
"Tyrunt! Start things off with your Crunch!" Hassleberry ordered. Tyrunt came right at Cubchoo with Crunch.
"Dodge and use Powder Snow!" Sora ordered. Cubchoo has dodged Tyrunt's Crunch and unleashed Powder Snow right at the small tyrannosaurus rex-like Pokémon. Hassleberry growled.
"I hate cold! Tyrunt! Go at Cubchoo with Fire Fang!" Hassbleberry ordered. Tyrunt charged right at Cubchoo with Fire Fang and lands a hit. "Fire Fang again!" Tyrunt came at Cubchoo with another Fire Fang.
"Dodge and use Night Slash!" Sora ordered. Cubchoo avoided Tyrunt's attack and uses Night Slash right at the royal heir Pokémon. "Now, use Powder Snow!" Cubchoo unleashed Powder Snow and it lands a hit. Tyrunt had been taken down. Hassbleberry calls back his Tyrunt.
"Rest up, soldier. You did you part," Hassleberry said. He looked right at Sora. "Not bad for a civilian. Now, it's Tyrantrum's turn to shine!" Hassleberry said. Tyrantrum roared in agreement. Sora calls back his Cubchoo and turned to Pikachu.
"You're up, Pikachu!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said. Pikachu stood before Tyrantrum.
"You must have blown a fuse! You should know that Pikachu's electricity ain't gonna do much damage to it!" Hassbleberry said.
"My Pikachu can take down any opponent bigger than he is. He took down a Rhyperior and an Onix before," Sora said.
"My Tyrantrum ain't a pushover! And here's proof! Tyrantrum! Use Fire Fang on that rodent!" Hassleberry ordered. Tyrantrum started to come right at Pikachu with Fire Fang.
"Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodges Tyrantrum's Fire Fang at the last minute and lands a hit with Iron Tail. That did some serious damage since Tyrantrum is weak against Steel Type moves.
"Tyrantrum! Come at Pikachu with Head Smash!" Hassleberry ordered. Tyrantrum came so fast, it lands a hit onto Pikachu before could give a command. Tyrantrum ends up being paralyzed by Pikachu's Static and suffered some recoil damage. "Now, Tyrantrum! Use Crunch!" Tyrantrum came at Pikachu with Crunch.
"Use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu swings his tail right at Tyrantrum, landing some damage.
"Crunch again!" Hassleberry ordered. Tyrantrum tried to use Crunch again, but its paralisis kicked right in.
"Now, use Thunder!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunder right on the tyrannosaurus rex-like Pokémon. Tyrantrum had been taken down. Hassleberry was stunned.
"Samhill! I lost!" Hassleberry exclaimed.
"Good work, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"I don't believe it! I thought for sure I had you," Hassleberry said.
"Is that why you picked a fight with me in the first place?" Sora asked.
"Yup. Just to practice before I get a chance to challenge the Virbank City Gym again," Hassleberry said.
"We just came form there," Sora said. Hassleberry looked right at him.
"What do you mean? I bet you got whopped there," Hassleberry said.
"Actually, I won a Gym Badge from there," Sora said, showing Hassleberry his three Gym Badges. His eyes widened.
"I'll be a blue-nosed Diglett! That there is the Toxic Badge! You're even better than I thought if ya whooped Roxie!" Hassleberry said.
"I'll tell you, it wasn't easy," Sora said.
"Sorry for making you battle me like that. Like I said, I thought you were weak," Hassleberry said. "I went and challenged the Gym Leader there, and she beat me before I knew what hit me."
"Then, why are you here when you should be there?" Iris asked.
"Axew," Axew added.
"I was waiting for trainers to come by here and I can try again," Hassleberry said.
"That doens't answer the question," Iris said.
"I came here because I was too embarrassed to show my face there again until I shape up," Hassleberry explained.
"That makes sense," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"In all the excitement, I didn't ask about your name," Hassleberry said.
"It's Sora," Sora answered.
"I'll remember that name. A Hassleberry shouldn't forget the name of the trainer who whooped him. That's my pappy's code," Hassleberry said.
With that said, Hassleberry went off to Virbank City to to try again. They arrived in Castelia Town and they met up with Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill.
"Riku, Naminé," Sora said.
"Sora, Kairi," Riku said.
"What brings you here?" Naminé asked.
"Just came here for a Gym battle, that's what," Sora said.
"Didn't you already win a Gym Badge here, Sora?" Naminé asked.
"Azurill," Azurill said.
"Actually there was a Contest going on in Virbank City; also there was a Gym there. The Gym Leader Roxie gave Sora the Toxic Badge after he beat her," Ventus said. Sora and Kairi shows their friends their Badges and Ribbons.
"You two are on fire," Riku said. Meowth starts scratching himself again.
"Jeez, this itch is driving me crazy," Meowth said, scratching himself. He was still unaware of Joltik moving around. That was all thanks to its tiny size. They join the group in the Pokémon Center as they spotted Trip inside the Pokémon Center.
"Trip?" Sora asked. He looked right at the group.
"Oh, it's you again. Just so you know, you boonies have no business being here in Unova," Trip said. Riku took an instant dislike to Trip's attitude.
"Who's this guy?" Riku asked.
"Trip. We met him shortly after coming here in Unova. He doens't like anyone from Kanto," Terra explained.
"I'll just happen to know I have every right to be here as you do, Trippy," Sora said. "And on top of that, I already won three Gym Badges."
"So did I," Trip said. "I just took on the Gym Leader Burgh, and I'm on my way to the next Gym. And hearing how you're a Pokémon League Champion has got to be a joke, since there's no way that a boonie like you could be as good as people say." Riku really didn't like his attitude.
"I'll have you know, you know-nothing little shit! Sora is one of the best trainers I know! And if I were yiou I would keep my big fat mouth shut before I get my ass kicked by the wrong kind of person!" Riku stated.
"Hey, why do you care how I treat him? You from Kanto?" Trip asked.
"I came from Alola, and why the hell do you care where he's from? I don't care if he came from the planet Mars, because Sora is a much better trainer than you will ever be!" Riku said. "And I know I can whoop your ass in a Pokémon battle without even breaking a sweat!"
"I'd like to see you try!" Trip dared him.
"Don't end up regretting it if you bite off more than you can chew," Riku said. Both Riku and Trip step outside. He took out his first Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Frillish!" Trip called out. Trip has unleashed a male Frillish to battle. Riku turned to his partner.
"You're up, Eevee," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said. Eevee stepped right in. Trip smirked.
"So, it's an Eevee! That boonie Pokémon can't even touch my Frillish because it's a Ghost Type," Trip said.
"Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered. Eevee unleashed Shadow Ball and it lands a hit onto Frillish, taking him out with one hit. Trip was surprised to see his Frillish taken down with just one hit.
"My Eevee can use Shadow Ball, and that's a Ghost Type move," Riku said.
"I had no idea his Eevee was so strong. I'll have to use this one!" Trip said, calling back Frillish and taking out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Timburr!" his Timburr came on out to battle. Eevee returns to Riku's side and he took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Throh!" Riku called out. Riku's Throh came out by tightening his belt.
"Riku caught a Throh?" Kairi asked.
"He did. Riku was impressed by his throwing ability, so Riku decided to catch him," Naminé said.
"Like that matters! Timburr! Use Pound!" Trip ordered. Timburr came at Throh with the intent of hitting him with his log, but Throh blocks it with his hand.
"Storm Throw!" Riku ordered. Throh grabs Timbur with his other hand and hurled the muscular Pokémon onto the ground. Timburr was taken down with just one hit.
"Timburr never stood a chance. Throh has much more experience in battle than Timburr does," Cilan said. Trip calls back Timburr and took out one more Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Tranquil!" Trip called out. Tranquil came on out to battle. Riku calls Throh back and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn now, Pawniard!" Riku called out. A Pawniard came on out to battle.
"A Pawniard, too?" Ventus asked.
"Riku just caught that one yesterday," Naminé said.
"Azu," Azurill said.
"Tranquil! Use Air Cutter!" Trip ordered. Tranquil unleashed Air Cutter at the sharp blade Pokémon.
"Use Iron Defense!" Riku ordered. Pawniard uses Iron Defense to build up its. Air Cutter bounced right off. "Now, use Metal Claw!" Pawniard came at Tranquil and swiped its claws at the wild pigeon Pokémon. "Now, use Feint Attack!" Pawniard vanishes and reappears. Pawniard lands a hit onto the wild pigeon Pokémon, knocking it out. "Not bad for your first battle, huh?" Pawniard nodded agreement. Trip calls back his Tranquil, and glared right at him.
"You won because you got lucky!" Riku said.
"Luck has nothing to do with it. I won because I had way more experience than you did. And if you think I'm relying on luck, then you don't know me as well as you think," Riku said. Trip just huffed and walked off.
"Whatever," Trip said.
"An amazing display of power, Riku. If you don't mind, I would like to evaluate all of your Pokémon please," Cilan said.
"Why not?" Riku asked. He let out Throh along with a Sawk, a Blitzle, and a Lampent.
"I must say, Riku, you have an exquisite connection with your Pokémon. Each one of them has their own unique flavor, and you seem to let out the best in them," Cilan said.
"Thanks," Riku said.
Sora was trying to decide on which one of his Pokémon to choose from. He thought about using either Pansear or Darumaka. He decided to let them duke it out with Rock Paper Scissors.
"I have an idea. How about you two play Rock Paper Scissors. And whoever can get the winning hand, goes in the battle. So, how about it?" Sora asked. Pansear and Darumaka agreed. "Okay, Rock, Paper, Scissors, go!" Darumaka's hand came out in scissors, and Panser's came out as rock. "Rock smashes Scissors. Pansear wins it." Darumaka winced and went into a corner and pouted. "Hey, Darumaka, don't be like that. I promise that you're going to have your chance to battle in a Gym. I guarantee it." Darumaka smiled, feeling better about being left out.
The group has arrived in the Castelia City Gym with Burgh waiting for them.
"Welcome Sora and friends. It's a pleasure to see you all here. And it looks liek we have two new faces," Burgh said.
"This is Riku and his girlfriend Naminé. They came to watch the Gym battle, hope that's okay," Sora said.
"They are more than welcome. Now, Sora, shall we begin?" Burgh asked.
"Yeah," Sora said.
Both of Sora and Burgh have entered the battlefield, and ready to go. The referee steps in.
"The battle between the Gym Leader Burgh, and the challenger Sora from Pallet Town is about to begin! Both trainers will be using three Pokémon each! And only the challenger will be allowed to makes substitutions any time. The will be over when all three of either side's Pokémon are unable to continue battling! And now, begin!" The referee annoucned. Burgh has taken out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go forth, Dwebble!" Burgh called out. Dwebble came on out to battle. Burgh's Dwebble's rock is different from the one Sora has. Sora took out his first Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Tepig!" Sora called out. Tepig came on out to battle against Dwebble.
"Look at the rock on its back. It's different from the one Sora has," Iris pointed out.
"You're right," Cilan said.
"But I can bet my charm that his Dwebble is stronger than Sora's," Meowth said. Meowth kept on sratching himself.
"Meowth is right. That Dwebble obviously has more experience in battle," Terrasaid.
"Tepig! Tackle!" Sora ordered. Tepig charges right at the hermit crab Pokémon.
"Dodge it, Dwebble!" Burgh called out. Dwebble dodges as Tepig misses.
"Tackle again!" Sora ordered.
"Dig!" Burgh ordered.
Dwebble digs to dodge. Tepig looks around for Dwebble to come out. Dwebble came out and lands a hit onto Tepig.
"Tepig!" Sora gasped.
"X-Scissor!" Burgh ordered. Dwebble came down at the fire pig Pokémon with X-Scissor.
"That Dwebble is fast. So quick on its feet," Naminé said.
"The rock my Dwebble carries on its back is special. It weighs much less than most Dwebble's; that's why it moves with such grace," Burgh said.
"Ember!" Sora ordered. Tepig unleashed Ember right at Dwebble, hoping to land a hit.
"Dwebble! Use Protect!" Burgh ordered. Dwebble forms a protective barrier around itself, making Ember bounce right off. "X-Scissor!"
"Tackle!" Sora ordered. Tepig lands a Tackle onto Dwebble. "That was great, Tepig!"
"Pika!" Pikachu added.
"Now, use Flame Charge!" Sora ordered.
"Protect!" Burgh ordered. Dwebble forms a protective barrier around itself as Tepig charges towards Dwebble. Tepig makes contact, but Tepig's Flame Charge bounces right off.
"Dwebble! Rock Wrecker!" Burgh ordered. Dwebble puts its claws together and a small gray stone with a red aura around it forms in between them. The rock then grows larger until it is as big as Dwebble itself. The red aura then disappears and Dwebble fires the stone at Tepig. Tepig has been taken down.
"Tepig is unable to battle! Dwebble wins!" The referee announced. Sora calls Tepig back.
"A close range Rock Wrecker. Effective," Cilan said.
"You think he purposely lured Tepig in?" Iris asked.
"Sure. It was just waiting for Tepig to get close," Cilan said. "That's Burgh's style."
"So, which Pokémon is next, Sora?" Burgh asked. He took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn now, Pansear!" Sora called out. Pansear came on out to battle against Dwebble.
"Ah, you had another Fire Type ready. I commend you on such a genius strategy," Burgh complimented Sora.
"My Pansear is ready to take on anything you can dish out, Burgh," Sora said.
"I don't doubt it one bit, Sora," Burgh said.
"Pansear! Use Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Pansear unleashed Flamethrower right at Dwebble.
"Dwebble! Use Protect!" Burgh ordered. Dwebble uses Protect, making the flames bounce right off. "X-Scissor! Let's go!" Dwebble comes right at Pansear with X-Scissor.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pansear manages to dodge Dwebble's X-Scissor. "Fire Punch!" Pansear heads towards Dwebble to land a punch.
"Protect!" Burgh ordered. Pansear's Fire Punch bounces right at off. "Now, use Rock Wrecker!" Dwebble puts its claws together and a small gray stone with a red aura around it forms in between them. The rock then grows larger until it is as big as Dwebble itself. The red aura then disappears and Dwebble fires the stone at Pansear.
"Dodge that!" Sora called out. Pansear mangages to dodge. "Now, use Flamethrower!" Pansear unleashed Flamethrower right at Dwebble.
"Protect!" Burgh ordered. Dwebble uses Protect to make Flamethrower bounce right off. "Now, use X-Scissor!" Dwebble came right at Pansear.
"Fire Punch!" Sora ordered. Pansear unleashed Fire Punch right at Dwebble, knocking it right out of its rock.
"Dwebble's out of its rock!" Aqua said.
"Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Pansear unleashed Flamethrower right at Dwebble, landing a direct hit.
"Hurry back into your rock!" Burgh called out.
"I think not! Fire Punch!" Sora ordered. Pansear lands a Fire Punch onto Dwebble. "Now, use Flamethrower!" Pansear unleashed Flamethrower, finishing off Dwebble.
"Dwebble is uanble to battle! Pansear wins!" The referee announced.
"Way to go, Pansear!" Sora said.
"That was well done," Burgh said, calling back Dwebble.
"Now both has two left to use," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Excellent. Your Pansear is very impressive," Burgh said.
"Thanks a lot, Burgh," Sora said.
"And now, it's time for my next Pokémon," Burgh said, taking out his next Pokéball. "Your turn now, Scolipede!" He threw his Pokéball, letting out his Scolipede.
"A Scolipede," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
"Scolipede, I trust your pure heart is burning with spirit," Burgh said.
"Pede," Scolipede said.
"Don't Whirlipede evolve into Scolipede?" Ventus asked.
"That's exactly right, Ven. Scolipede is a much stronger Pokémon than Whirlipede is," Riku said.
"You still willing to stay in, Pansear?" Sora asked.
"Sear!" Pansear answered.
"Great! Use Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Pansear uinleashed Flamethrower right at Scolipede.
"Protect!" Burgh ordered. Scolipede uses Protect to block out Pansear's Flamethrower. "Now, use Poison Tail!" Scolipede comes right at Pansear with Poison Tail.
"Dodge and use Fire Punch!" Sora ordered. Pansear avoids Scolipede's Poison Tail and lands a Fire Punch onto Scilipede. "Now, use Fire Punch again!" Pansear came at Scolipede with Fire Punch.
"Protect!" Burgh ordered. Scolipede forms a proptective barrier around itself to block out Pansear's Fire Punch. "Now, use Steamroller! Scolipede jumps into the air and spins its body rapidly. Then, the tips of its antennae start to glow white and it slams its body into Pansear, causing some heavy damage.
"Steamroller?!" Riku exclaimed.
"Steamroller is a powerful powerful attack," Terra said.
"Right. It can make any opponent flinch," Aqua said.
"That was wonderful, Scolipede," Burgh said. Pansear gets back up on his feet, barely able to keep going.
"Look at that. Panser is still in it," Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Yeah! Go for it, Pansear!" Ventus cheered.
"I must say your Pansear has spirit, just like you do. But, will spirit be enough to win this battle?" Burgh asked.
"We're about to find out. Pansear! Flamethrower! Full power!" Sora ordered. the fire monkey Pokémon unleashed a powerful Flamethrower right at the megapede Pokémon.
"Protect!" Burgh ordered. Scolipede formed a protetive barrier around itself. Pansear's Flamethrower bounced right off.
"Man, this is much harder than I thought. I thought that Whirlipede was tough, but this Scolipede is much stronger. I got to take Scolipede down here and now. Pansear! Use Fire Punch!" Pansear came right at Scolipede with Fire Punch. Pansear lands a successful blow. "Flamethrower!" Pansear unleashed Flamethrower right at Scolipede.
"Use Poison Tail!" Burgh ordered. Scolipede swings Poison Tail right at Pansear, landing a hit. "Now, use Steamroller!" Scolipede rolls right towards Pansear with its body. Pansear stood there as he was building up power. He took in a deep and forms a huge fireball and threw it right Scolipede. The flame attack struck Scolipede hard. Scolipede uncurls its body and it gets struck by the flame attack.
"What attack was that just now?" Ventus asked.
"That was Flame Burst! Pansear must have just learned it," Cilan said.
"Just like Sora to bounce back," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Meowth, that's right!" Meowth said. Joltik was watching with awe, it was amazed and impressed by Sora's strength.
"Go for it, Sora," Kairi said in her thoughts. Scolipede gets back up on its feet.
"Scolipede! Use Poison Tail!" Burgh ordered. Scolipede came right at Pansear with Poison Tail.
"Use Flame Burst!" Sora ordered. Pansear has unleashed Flame Burst and it struck Scolipede hard, taking it down.
"Scolipede is unable to battle! Pansear wins!" The referee announced. Burgh calls Scolipede back and smiled.
"Thank you, Scolipede. You have battled beautifully. You deseve a good rest," Burgh said. "That was wonderful, Sora. The way you battled is a work art itself! And now, it is time for Leavanny!" Burgh took out a Pokéball and threw it. Leavanny came right out to battle.
"Pansear is worn out from that battle with Dwebble and Scolipede. Can you keep going?" Sora asked.
"Sear," Pansear answered, while panted.
"Okay, Flame Burst!" Sora ordered. Pansear unleashed Flame Burst right at Leavanny.
"Protect!" Burgh ordered. Leavanny uses Protect and blocks the attack. "Now, String Shot!" Leavanny unleashed String Shot and wraps up Pansear. "Leaf Storm!" Leavanny sends Leaf Storm right at Pansear, landing some heavy damage. "Finish it with Hyper Beam!" Leavanny fires Hyper Beam right at Pansear, causing real havey damage. Pansear was now down and out.
"Pansear is unable to battle! Leavanny wins!" The referee announced. Sora calls back Pansear and he took his next Pokéball.
"Okay, this is going to take everything you've got," Sora said. He was about to throw it, when Darumaka came on out. "What the?! Darumaka! I was going to send in Tranquil, not you!"
"Maka!" Darumaka said.
"Why did Darumaka come out and not Tranquil?" Ventus asked.
"Darumaka wants to prove himself," Kairi said. Everyone looked right at her.
"What do you mean?" Iris asked.
"Darumaka wants to prove to Sora that he can be strong," Kairi said. Sora looked right at Darumaka and he understood.
"So, it's a third Fire Type Pokémon at your disposal. But, it won't be enough to take down my Leavanny," Burgh said.
"Okay, Darumaka! Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Darumaka fires his Flamethrower right at Leavanny.
"Protect!" Burgh ordered. Leavanny uses Protect to block Darumaka's attack. "Use Leaf Storm!" Leavanny unleashed Leaf Storm right at the zen charm Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Fire Punch!" Sora ordered. Darumaka came right at Leavanny with Fire Punch.
"Protect!" Leavanny uses Protect to block Darumaka's Fire Punch. "Leaf Storm!" Leavanny sends out Leaf Storm right at Darumaka. "Now, use Hyper Beam!"
"Dodge and use Fire Fang!" Sora ordered. Darumaka avoids Leavanny's Strong Shot and lands a hit with Fire Fang. Burgh gasped in surprise. "Now, use Flamethrower!" Darumaka fires Flamethrower right at Leavanny, engulfing it in flames. Leavanny fell on its back, beaten.
"Leavanny is unable to battle! Darumaka wins! The winner of the battle is Sora from Pallet Town!" The referee announced.
"Way to go, Darumaka!" Sora said.
"He did it!" Kairi said.
"Vee!" Angel said.
"Sora has given it all he's got. He has given this battle such a spicy flavor," Cilan said. Burgh calls back Leavanny and he smiles.
"Well done, Sora. You are one of the ebst challengers I have seen in such a long time. As a Gym Leader, it is my obligation to reward you with this: the Insect Badge," Burgh said, handing Sora a badge that is shaped like a green heart divided into three parts or the wings and body of an insect. He accepts his Badge.
"Thanks, Burgh. I have to say that was a fun battle," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika, Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I wish you good luck in your future Gym battles, Sora," Burgh said.
"Thanks again," Sora said.
"And I thought it might interest you to know that your next Gym battle should be in Nimbasa City," Burgh said.
"Then, Nimbasa City is the next place we're heading next," Sora said.
With the Insect Badge in his possession, that makes four Gym Badges Sora has won. Now the journey shall take place in Nimbasa City for Sora's very next Gym battle. So, the journey continues.
