Episode 436: Team Plasma Attacks
A whole day had passed since Sora has won his fourth Unova region Gym Badge, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Axew were starting to head right towards Nimbasa City. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill have joined right in as well. Sora has exchanged Cubchoo, Pansear, Darumaka, and Tranquil for Snivy, Oshawott, Sandile, and his own Axew. They all made a stop to have a break in. Sora and RIku were doing some traing with Eevee against Sandile.
"Eevee! Start up with Quick Attack!" Riku ordered. Eevee ran towards towards the desert croc Pokémon with Quick Attack.
"Sandile! Dodge and use Stone Edge!" Sora ordered. Sandile forms stones around himself and hurls them right at Eevee.
"Dodge with Dig!" Riku ordered. Eevee dug into the earth to avoid the attack.
"Sandile! You use DIg, too!" Sora ordered. Sandile dug into the ground to go after Eevee.
Both of Sora and Riku waited for their Pokémon to come right out of the earth. Sandile and Eevee came on out and they clare right at each other.
"Use, use Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered. Eevee forms Shadow Ball and sends it right at Sandile.
"Dodge and use Bite!" Sora ordered. Sandile avoids Eevee's Shaodw Ball and comes right at Eevee with Bite.
"Dodge with Quick Attack!" Riku ordered. Eevee avoids Sandile's Bite and lands a Quick Attack onto Sandile. The desert croc Pokémon glared right at Eevee and then started to evolve, much to the surprise of Sora and Riku. Sandile had evolved right into a Krokorok. "Your Sandile evoled into a Krokorok.
"Korokorok! Use Bite!" Sora ordered. Krokorok came right at Eevee with Bite. Eevee manages to dodge. "Use Stone Edge!" Krokorok hurls Stone Edge right at Eevee.
"Use Swift!" Riku ordered. Eevee fires Swift and the stars sends the stones right back Krokorok, retrieving damage from his own attack. "Use Shadow Ball!" Eevee fires Shadow Ball and it struck Krokorok on the spot, bring him down. His sunglasses comes right off as Sora went to catch them.
"That was good, Riku," Sora said.
"Thanks, Sora. Your Krokorok wasn't bad either," Riku said. He went up to Krokorok. "Come to think of it, I always wanted one of those."
"But your mom wouldn't let you have one, because one might bite you like your Rockruff did after you caught him?" Sora asked.
"No, it's because they're hard to get a hold of," Riku said. "They never hold still." Sora understood what he meant. Kairi and Cilan got lunch ready as Sora and Riku had let out Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Axew, Sawk, Throh, Blitzle, Pawniard, and Lampent along with Purrloin, Woobat, Deerling, Patrat, and Munna. Riku's new Pokémon all liked the food Kairi had made for them. Just when they were enjoying their meal, a Ducklett came and started to attack by firing Water Gun right at the group. Patrat was angered and he attacked with Super Fang. THe Ducklett glared right at Patrat, and he glared right back at Ducklett.
"Patrat! Use Tackle!" Kairi ordered. Patrat tackled right into the attacking Ducklett. "Use Super Fang!" Patrat came right at Ducklett with Super Fang and lands a hit onto Ducklett. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Ducklett flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box goes off asking her if she wants to keep Ducklett with her. She chose to send Ducklett back to Professor Oak's lab. "That was great, Patrat."
"Pat, Patrat, trat!" Patrat said. Patrat started to evolve. Patrat was now a Watchog.
"You're a Watchog now!" Kairi said.
"That battle must have been the cause of Patrat's sudden evolution," Cilan said.
"You might be right," Aqua said.
With that said, they resumed with their meal as Meowth was still itching.
"Still itchy, Meowth?" Ventus asked.
"I am. And I'm going nuts! I can't stop itching!" Meowth said, scratching himself.
"You sure you don't have a ra-" Ventus paused when he spotted somethig small and yellow on the scratch cat Pokémon. "What's that?"
"What's what?" Meowth asked.
"You got something on your back," Ventus said, poking it. Joltik jumped off and landed right on his hand. "So, that's it! Guys, look at this!"
"What is it, Ven?" Kairi asked. Everyone gathered around him and they saw Joltik.
"Is that what it looks like?" Aqua asked.
"It's a Joltik," Terra said.
"You mean I had a Joltik on me for days and I didn't even know it?" Meowth asked.
"You did. Joltik latches itself to larger Pokémon and start feeind on the static electricity off of them," Cilan said. Joltik jumped right out of Ventus's hands and landed right on Sora's shoulder.
"Joltik, Jolt, Jolt, tik, tik, Joltik Jol," Joltik said.
"Joltik said that he was watching you battle and he says he's impressed by the way you battled," Meowth translated.
"And I'm going to guess you wanna tag along," Sora said. Joltik nodded. He took out a Pokéball as Joltik jumped right at the button and flows inside. Stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Joltik with him. He chose to send Joltik to Professor Oak's lab.
Meanwhile in another part of Unova, Lovrina along with several Team Shadow peons have just arrived in Unova.
"This is it. The region where Master Mateus said he would be," Lovrina said.
"Shall we proceed by gaining his attention?" Another Team Shadow peon asked.
"We shall," Lovrina said. "Miror B might have failed to stop him, but I won't make the same mistake as that dancing fool."
Back with Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and Axew, they made it to another part of Castelia City when they several Team Plasma grunts in the area.
"Team Plasma," Riku said.
"Man, those guys are bad news," Ventus said.
"What do you think they're up to now?" Iris asked.
"Up to no good, I can tell you," Meowth said.
"Let's follow them and see," Sora said. EVeryone agreed since they knew it was never good with Team Plasma around. THey followed Team Plasma, being careful not being seen. Team Plasma had made it to the Skyarrow Bridge and right into the Pinwheel Forest. The group spotted six men in the forest. It was six of the Seven Sages.
"Who are those guys?" Riku asked.
"I don't know, but I can tell you they're with Ghetsis," Sora said.
"Who's Ghetsis?" Naminé asked.
"He's one of the guys we met before," Kairi said.
"Is everything ready, Gorm?" One of the sages asked.
"All set, Bronius. Everything Ghestsis says will be going according to plan," Gorm said.
Ghetsis had arrived before the six other sages.
"Ghetsis," the six other sages greeted.
"That's him?" Riku asked.
"That's him," Sora answered.
"Gorm, Bronius, Ryoku, Zinzolin, Giallo, Rood. I trust everything is going as planned," Ghetsis said.
"Yes. The signal shall effect the Venipede and attack Castelia City as planned," Rood said.
"And it shall bring the attention of trainers, coming to drive the Venipede off," Zinzolin said.
"And that's is where the grunts shall enter and swipe the Pokémon from them," Giallo said.
"They're planning to do what?" Aqua asked.
"That's exactly what those chumps are saying," Meowth said.
"Team Plasma will rule the Unova region, and we the Seven Sages shall rule through them!" Gorm said.
"And no one shall be able to stop us!" Bronius added.
"Espcially that one who dred to speak out against us," Ryoku said.
"Don't be too hasty, freinds. There are other matters to attend to as well. But first, this shall be a stepping stone in our conquest. Now begin," Ghetsis said. The six other sages nodded and they began by pushing a button. It gave off a soundwave that affects Venipede. They all started to make their way towards the city.
"So, those guys are all calling thr shots," Ventus said.
"Until now, I had no idea who were in charge of Team Plasma," Cilan said.
"There are way too many Venipede to handle," Iris said.
"She's right, Sora. It don't look like we can handle this many at once," Kairi said.
"We're going have to destroy that signal!" Sora said.
"We'll head down to the city and let the police know about this," Naminé said.
"Okay," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, and Axew all sprang into action as Naminé, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua went back to the city to inform the police.
"It has begun," Ghetsis said.
"It ended before it did!" Sora said. The Seven Sages saw the trainers coming towards them.
"You again," Ghetsis hissed.
"It appears we had some spies in our midst," Bronius said.
"I agree, Bronius. We shall teach them a lesson about spying," Gorm said.
"Indeed," Ghetsis said. He turned to the grunts. "Men, half of you stay and endulge these children. The rest of you, carry on with the plan!"
"Yes, Sage Ghetisis!" The Team Plasma grunts all said. Half of them went off to carry on the mission as the rest stayed to deal with Sora, Kairi, Riku, Cilan, and Iris. The Team Plasma grunts sent out some Yamask, Woobat, and Purrloin. Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Meowth were in front as Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Krokorok, Axew, Purrloin, Woobat, Deerling, Munna, Watchog, Pawniard, Sawk, Throh, Lampent, Blitzle, Pansage, and Deino came on out to deal with the Team Plasma Pokémon. During the battle, the other sages have taken off, except for Ghetsis. He just stood there as he grinned evilly.
Over to Castelia City, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and Azurill, they saw that they were too late as the Venipede had arrived to the city.
"We're too late!" Terra said.
"We got to find Officer Jenny at once!" Aqua said. Speak of the devil, Officer Jenny had arrived.
"What are you all doing out here? You should be in shelter," Officer Jenny said.
"We were looking for you. We know who is behind this!" Aqua said.
"It's Team Plasma! They have some kind of machine that makes Venipede go crazy," Ventus said.
"Team Plasma is behind this?" Officer Jenny asked.
"It's true. We saw them ourselves," Naminé said.
"We're going have to contain all of these Venipede! We don't have time to deal with Team Plasma right now! And you four get inside" Officer Jenny said, riding off to the city.
"Can't she see that Team Plasma is behind this one hundred percent?" Ventus asked.
"We're going have to deal with this ourselves. There are probably some grunts here now," Terra said. Ventus, Aqua, and Naminé all agreed and went off to find them.
In the Pinwheel Forest, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Iris, and Cilan's Pokémon continued to duke it out with Team Plasma's Pokémon, taking them down.
"Their skills are more impressive than I was led to believe. Let's see how well this go," Ghetsis said in his thoughts.
"Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dashed right through the Purrloin. "Iron Tail!" Pikachu swings his tail right the Woobat, knocking them out.
Back in the city, Ventus went with Naminé and Azurill as they came across the attacking Venipede. As they saw the girl with long brown hair dealing with them with her Blitzle. Her Blitzle gave a Venipede a kick as she saw the twoseome.
"What are you doing?" The girl said.
"You haven't seen Team Plasma here have you?" Ventus asked.
"Team Plasma? What about them?" The girl asked.
"They're behind this attack We heard that they're going to lure trainers out here to snatch their Pokémon," Naminé said.
"Is that right? I had a feeling it was odd to see so many Venipede at once. Anyway, my name's Rosa," Rosa introduced herself.
"I'm Naminé."
"And I'm Ventus, but everyone calls me Ven," Ventus said. Just then a couple of Team Plasma grunts started to make their move. Ventus was quick to notice. "There!" The girls turned to see them.
"Bliztle! Flame Charge!" Rosa ordered. Blitzle charges right at the Team Plasma grunts, knocking them out. "Thanks for the wearning, Ven."
"Anytime," Ven said.
Naminé tied them up to a pole and took their Pokéballs to keep them form calling out their Pokémon.
Over to Terra and Aqua they were seaching for Team Plasma as they spotted Nate battling with his Pignite.
"Nate!" Aqua called out. Nate turned to see the couple.
"I know you! You friends with Sora. What brings you here?" Nate asked.
"Looking for Team Plasma. They're behind all this," Terra said.
"Team Plasma? Really?" Nate asked. THe Team Plasma grunts rushed to make their move. Pignite spotted them and spews Flamethrower form his snout. They get burned into a crisp. "That answers my question." Terra and Aqua ties them up, and take their Pokéballs.
Back to the Pinwheel Forest, the Team Plasma grunts were getting beaten by the trainers.
"They're so much more stronger than any of us thought," one of the Team Plasma gunts said.
"Retreat!" Another grunt said.
"No! Do not retreat! Those Pokémon are getting exhausted!" Ghetsis said.
"Angel! Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel unleashes Swift at the Team Plasma Pokémon, taking them down. They waited for the right opportunity to strike at them. Just then, four Pokémon appear before them. It was indeed the Swords of Justice, Terrakion, Cobalion, and Virizion.
"The Swords of Justice," Cilan said in awe.
"Where did they come from?" Iris asked.
"They must have come to our aide," Cilan said. Ghetsis was displeased by this turn of event.
"How dare you three come here when you are not wanted!" Ghetsis said. Terrakion with its horns ready as Cobalion, and Virizion joined in. They managed to push the Team Plasma grunts back and they began to retreat. Pikachu went for the device and destroyed it. Ghetsis growled in anger. "I will not forget this! And you have not heard the last of Team Plasma! This is not over!" Ghetsis took off.
Sora attempted to go after him, but Riku stopped him.
"Let it go, Sora. He's not worth it," Riku said.
Back in Castlia City, the Venipede were being rounded up in one spot, and it was N who was doing so.
"There, there. You needn't be afraid. Let me help you," N said. He began to lead the Venipede back to the woods. More and more Venipede were following him as other trainers have noticed. Trip attempt to attack with his Tranquil.
"Use Gust!" Trip ordered. Tranquil used his Gust on the Venipede, making them scatter, but N kept them in place. He turned to the trainer.
"Why did you do that?" N asked.
"Because they were going around the city like they owned the place," Trip said.
"I wasn't talking to you!" N stated, confusing Trip. "I was talking to Tranquil!"
"Talking to Tranquil?" Trip asked. Tranquil made his sounds towards N, and he understood what he was saying.
"I see. I understand. Just be more careful, because they were frightened," N said. Tranquil nodded. Trip was really confused.
"Who are you? And what did you do?" Triup asked.
"That is no concern of yours," N stated right at him. He led the Venipede back into the forest, while Trip was looking him quite dumbfounded.
"What's the deal with that guy?" Trip asked.
The Venipede continued to follow N right back to the forest.
Back to Sora, Kairi, Riku, Cilan, Iris, and the Pokémon, the Swords of Justice looked right at the trainers, particularly Sora and Kairi.
"Why are they looking at us?" Iris asked.
"They're looking at Sora and Kairi," Riku said. Cilan and Iris looked right at Riku. The Swords of Justice took thier leave from the trainers as they saw the Venipede come right back to the forest. "Venipede?"
"The signal is destroyed, so they had to come right back," Sora said.
"It's because I asked them to," a familair voice spoke. They saw N standing there.
"N?" Sora asked.
"You know him?" Riku asked.
"We met him only once. He was in Accumula Town when Team Plasma were there," Kairi said.
"They should be happy back home, and I promised them that nothing will happen to them again," N said. He turned around aand headed back to the city.
"Well, the good news is the Venipede won't be causing any trouble, but how did he do it?" Riku asked. Sora didn't know how to answer, so he took a look into his aura, and he saw nothing odd, except he has a connection with Pokémon.
Ghestsis has met up with the other six sages in a helicopter. The helicopter takes off with all seven sages on board.
"Our plan has failed it would seem," Zinzolin said.
"Indeed, Zinzolin. But do not despair, my friends, because we will have another chance to strike. I have seen the faces of our enemies again, and I don't doubt that the king shall be know of them by now," Ghetsis said.
"Enemies of the king must be elimnated," Ryoku said.
"I agree. We must act now!" Gorma said.
"No. Not yet. In another time. Their interference shall not alter Team Plasma's goals liberating the Pokémon from the trainers," Ghetsis said.
Back in Castelia City, all of the Team Plasma grunts has been rounded up with Officer Jenny arresting each and every one of them.
"I guess you kids were right. I should have guessed Team Plasma were behind this. You did this city a huge favor," Officer Jenny said.
"We were just happy to help out," Aqua said.
"And now to take these crooks to jail," Officer Jenny said.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, and Axew met up with the rest of the group after the whole ordeal.
"So, anything you wanna share with us?" Riku asked.
"We managed to get the Team Plasma grunts before they could snatch any Pokémon from any unsuspecting trainer," Ventus said.
"That's good to know. I'm just glad that it's all over," Iris said.
"For now," Riku said. Iris blinked twice.
"What do you mean for now?" Iris asked.
"Riku's right, Iris. Team Plasma will make a move again, and we have to be ready for them," Sora said.
"Agreed. The Seven Sages. The ones who are pulling the strings of Team Plasma. I doubt the ones in custody will betray Ghestsis for anythig," Cilan said.
They wondered why Team Plasma had to send a hoarde of Venipede in Castelia City like they did.
Over to Lovrina and her squad, they had arrived in Nimbasa City. In the meantime, Lorvina was brushig her hair. A Team Shadow peon has entered her quarters.
"Miss Lovrina, we have recied word that an attack on Team Plasma has been foiled by our agents on the inside. Lovrina sighed.
"Is that all you have to say?" Lovrina asked.
"There's more. Sora Ketchum and his friends were spotted in Castelia City," the Team Shadow peon said.
"That kid? It can't be helped. Miror B might have failed to take him down, but I won't make the mistake as him by letting him slip through our fingers. And once we get him, maybe I can ask Master Matues out on a date," Lovrina said. She turned to the Team Shadow peon. "Make sure that there are no other interferences from the outside."
"Yes ma'am," the Team Shadow peon said, stepping out.
Back in Castelia City, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, and Axew were at the Pokémon Center, healing form the fight from Team Plasma, along with Nate and Rosa.
"So, how do you and Rosa know each other?" Sora asked.
"Rosa and I actually met each other when we were little kids. We grew up together," Nate said.
"Nothing like childhood friends," Kairi said. She knew she saw this before. She remebered the same situation with Brendan and May, and Lucas and Dawn. She had to admit, they were a cute pair. She did wonder how they were doing.
"So Sora, where are you heading next?" Nate asked.
"Nimbasa City, that's where I'm going to earn my next Badge," Sora said.
"i wish you luck with that, Sora," Nate said.
"Me too," Rosa said.
"What are you going to do?" Riku asked.
"I'm going to stick around and challenge the Gym Leader here into a battle," Nate said.
"And I'm heading off to compete in Pokémon Contests," Rosa said. She looked right at Kairi. "I hope that we get to compete in a Contest sometime."
"Me too," Kairi said.
After picking up their Pokémon, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Cilan, Iris, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and Axew all started to take their leave as they wished each other luck.
As they kept on going, they came across a Timburr. It was working out with the log it was holding, so Sora stepped right in.
"Okay, Timburr, you're about to be mine," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go right in, Snivy!" Snivy came on out to battle. The Timburr came at the grass snake Pokémon, swinging its log. "Dodge and use Vine Whip!" Snivy dodges Timburr's attack and whips Timburr hard. "Now, use Leaf Blade!" Snivy came right at the muscular Pokémon with Leaf Blade as Timburr came at Snivy with its log again. Timburr lands the fist blow before Snivy could get close to it. "Snivy! Attract!" Snivy uses Attract on Timburr, and it fell in love with Snivy at an instant.
"Did Sora know that Timburr is a male?" Riku asked.
"I don't think so. But I did, if it helps," Kairi said.
"I just assumed that he pikced on your talent to tell the difference after spending a lot of time with you," Riku said.
"Yeah, this and the 435 previous chapters," Meowth said, breaking the fourth wall.
"Okay, Snivy! Use Leaf Storm!" Sora ordered. Snivy unleashed Leaf Storm and it lands a hit onto Timburr. Timburr lands on the ground, dazed in love as Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Timburr flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Timburr with him. He chose to send Timburr to Professor Oak's lab.
Over to N, he sat alone in a spot in the Pinwheel Forest and looked up to the sky.
"Could have my decision to leave been a selfish one?" N asked himself.
(Flashback)
We take a look a little time before Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth had arrived in the Unova region inside a castle. N wore a red robe that is suitable for a king. Standing along with several Team Plasma grunts were two young women with brown eyes. One of the young woman has a yellow hair, with a blue band tied in a ponytail, with two locks standing out and wears a blue blouse, a white-yellow skirt with a ribbon and a pair of blue ballet shoes. The other young woman has a long pink hair, with two locks being over her chest and wears a green cloak over her white shirt, a white-pink skirt with a ribbon and a pair of pink ballet shoes.
"And by decree of the Seven Sages of Team Plasma, I crown you king!" Ghetsis said, placing the crown on his head. "Long live the king!"
The Team Plasma grunts chanted, "Long live the king! Long live the king! Long live the king! Long live the king!"

"Athena, Concordia. Thank you both for being there for me when I needed it the most," N said in his thoughts.
And there is something Sora and his friends didn't realize. How will they react when they find out that N is their enemy? More answers to come when we continue on in the journey.
