Chapter 498 Good Bye

"

Tig was crushed that Jax didn't want him to come deal with the car thieves. What if something happened to Jax and he needed her? What if one of the thieves tried to hurt Jax? She would die if anything happened to her soul mate.

Damn Clay. It was all his fault that she couldn't go with Jax. She had to hang around and protect Clay when she would much rather be watching Jax's back and that fine ass of his. He needed her to keep him from getting all shot up. None of the guys could protect Jax like she could.

There might have even been another opportunity to throw Jax to the ground and lay her body on top of his. His hard muscled body under hers felt like Heaven. Unless she got another erection. That had been so humiliating, but Jax had laughed it off in that cool charming way of his. Oh God, she loved him so much.

It wasn't fair that the blonde whore got Jax all to herself. She could imagine all the hot sex Jax was having with blonde whore when he should be having it with her. What the hell would happen if blonde whore got knocked up? She'd just have to kill her then.

She was thinking about killing her anyway so she could offer Jax her shoulder to cry on. That would lead to a kiss and then finally her transformation.

She was just so damned nervous worrying about Jax. She could hardly stand it. What if the carjackers had guns? Jax could get shot and killed and it could be over for her and her future just like that.

"Tig," Clay repeated sharply. He must have been calling her name a couple of judging by the tone of his voice.

"What?"

"Esai has finished singing. Give him the kit."

"Carefully take your new fake ID and the stuff including the money your ex gave you and put it on the floor. Do you have ID with your real name on it on you?" Clay asked.

"Yeah," Esai said.

"Good. Your daddy wanted you found so your mother could bury her son," Clay said.

Esai had faced his death with bravery. He didn't beg for his life, but at the mention of his mother, his eyes filled with tears.

Tig was wearing her leather gloves so they didn't leave fingerprints. She reached into the pocket of her hoodie and handed the hype kit to Esai.

"What the hell kind of father sets his kid up to get killed?" Bobby asked.

"It's our way," Esai said with a trace of bitterness in his voice. "The MC above family. I don't matter to my father anyway. He has other sons and will probably have a few more the way he's going with his new old lady."

"You shouldn't have messed with SAMCRO," Clay said not a trace of sympathy in his voice.

Esai slowly wrapped the rubber tubing around his arm. The fentanyl/heroin mix was already in the syringe. Esai looked up at Clay, hoping for a last second reprieve.

"Do it or we'll do the slow painful death option," Clay said.

Esai shoved the needle into a vein and pushed the plunger. Before he could remove the needle, he slumped forward. Bobby, Tig and Clay watched as Esai's breathing slowed and stopped.

"I don't understand why there's such a big deal over getting the drugs for lethal injections," Bobby said. "Why not give the guys a massive overdose with fentanyl instead of all the fancy drugs used to stop the heart and then stop the breathing. It can take twenty minutes to die that way."

"Government," Tig said. "They never do things the efficient way."

"Hitting someone with a fentanyl overdose makes too much sense," Clay added. "They never kill anyone on Death Row in Cali anyway. They all die of old age or cancer."

Bobby went over to take a look at Esai.

"Looks dead," he said. He checked the pulse in Esai's neck and found nothing. "No pulse. Definitely dead."

"As soon as the guys finish, we'll get the hell out of here," Clay said.

"Tig gather up the stuff including the ID the ex gave him along with the money but leave a couple of hundred bucks for the motel staff. Inconvenience fee."

"Probably not the first OD here," Bobby said. "Definitely the first inconvenience fee." The men laughed.

Tig quickly gathered up everything. She bit her lip. How long could it take Jax and the guys to kick the asses of some hood rats? Even now, Jax could be lying in a pool of blood dying. What if he realized he loved her and she wasn't there?

She couldn't bear it if anything happened to the love of her life.
