Chapter 557.
"The big Meeting and Talk."
(The Loud House, May 5.)
School is done for the day, and everyone is at the Loud House to discuss some stuff to each other, and let's see who we have in this meeting:
Lincoln, Luna, Jordan, Sam, Sully, Mazzy, Simon, Stella, Liam, Tabby, Michelle, Lily, Leni, Luan, Lynn Jr, Lucy, Lola, Lana, Lisa, Lynn Sr, Rita, Albert, Myrtle, Ryan, Hope, Gretchen, Rick, Jesse and then we have Lori on video chat. We also have the Eagles with them, and of course the Pokémon in the family.
They all gather to the backyard to figure out about what had happened the other day and they tell them what happened when Katie Crest confronted them about the upcoming summer musical country tour.
Each of them is shocked to the core by this offer.
Lori. "That literally does sound like an offer and an opportunity not to miss, but there might be some slight issues on this deal with Katie Crest, and even if Chunk does trust her, there's no shadow of doubt we could trust this thing."
Lisa. "Lori has a validated point, we do not know what else would happen should you all take part in this tour around the country for a musical based entertainment and though you do have the partnership with Mick Swagger and him tagging along, it would spark another outcome as last time."
Rick. "Yeah, we're not so sure about this either. We do recall the last time this happened, Lincoln almost died, well, Luna almost died and then Lincoln almost died."
Rita does what she can to comfort her crying husband. "That's one memory all of us have a hard time trying to get over. Always haunted by that whole ordeal when someone tried to kill our kids."
Simon. "We know that you guys would have the whole Allied guys come over, but what's to stop with the trouble that would come out from out of nowhere?"
Stella. "He's not wrong. We know that Katie Crest has something going on, and whatever it is could be a terrible contract to overcome and chances when meeting her again, she will have a contract. Did Chunk sign one too?"
Tabby. "That one to answer is no. Chunk may be part of the whole tour that Katie Crest has planned, but he hasn't signed anything yet, but chances there might be one once summer vacation hits nearby and we don't know what would happen if Chunk doesn't read the contract."
Lynn Jr. "This just turned from bad to worse, and chances it'll get far worse than anything."
They then look towards Luna and the others who are pondering about this and it looks like Luna has something planned out. "Luna, anything on your mind?" asked Leni.
Luna looks to all of them. "Alright, so we all know that this Katie Crest, whom we barely know unless we heard of her being the manager of a musical band, she has something up her sleeves and we don't know what it is, and so we need to know…." She looks towards Michelle. "What do you know about her?"
Michelle was wondering when they would ask and so she tells them. "Alright, so here's the thing you should know. Katie Crest was known to be the big time hot shot manager of the music business, but she never was like that before. She may have graduated from a school for management, but she had no clue how the whole musical talent thing works."
"She was the woman who was with me and Doug Rockwell when we began the show, America's Next Greatest Hitmaker and as it turns out, we were all friends back then and she seemed to be so fond of Doug, that the duo had a liking to each other, which was until she got upset about me."
"But truth be told, I did like Doug and I thought he liked me back, but he never did and he was just my manager and then came the time when Katie Crest decided to stab us in the back and I don't mean literally. After we made one band a hit after what they performed, that's when Crest striked."
"She managed to remake the contract into something we couldn't overwrite and she got rid of all copies of the original contract we made to have the band work for us. That act of betrayal really stung within me and Doug and he grew a dislike for her and we went on without her."
"Yet, she managed to taunt us even further by showing off the successful tours she's been on and that ticked us both off into doing whatever we can to beat her at her own game, and then it came when word got out that the band she had quitted on her and went off to be with their families."
Lisa then sees the pattern. "Then she tried to come back into the show."
Michelle nods. "Oh she did and we didn't give a damn about her and what she wanted, and so we shunned her out, but I swear Doug still had a liking towards her. So, he secretly donated some cash she needed and they did some… intimate stuff in his house."
Those who know what that meant are shocked and also blushing red, but the younger ones in the family are confused, except for Lisa who knows what that means.
"Then she ran off, took the cash and almost everything Doug had. Turns out, she played him like an acoustic guitar and kept him playing till his string snapped and then she left him to rot away in a trash can and thus came our heated anger and agreed task to take her down and her big plans."
Leni then asks. "Wait, why not report to the cops about what she did."
Michelle sighs. "That one was not an easy task either, she managed to cover her tracks and we had no proof that she stole tons of cash from Doug, which we were gonna use for another sequel to the show, and eventually we managed to get the show back on top during 2019."
Luna knows what she means, that time when she became Lulu, that was the sequel to the show they were gonna setup, America's Next greatest Hitmaker. "Whoa, dude!"
Michelle nods. "Yeah, that one and then we got word that she was coming up with a project that Doug and I were planning and that project was the Summer Country Tour." Now they all gasp. "And we had no proof that it was our plan from the start, she also stole his journal and I am surprised she didn't blackmail him."
Lucy then speaks. "Obviously she cares for Doug still, and waited for him to beg to join her."
They all think about this and then Lola speaks. "She's not wrong, that sounds correct to me."
"Yeah, and that's all you guys need to know about Katie Crest" said Michelle. "And another reason why she hates me to the core."
They are still surprised to hear that this is the information about the woman who wants to manage Luna and her band along with Lincoln and Jordan, and they did not like this one bit.
Lincoln then has an idea. "Alright, so I think we know what we should do, and I think Luna here knows too, right sis?"
Luna smirks. "A bonded sibling mind thinks as one when they can sense something is wrong." She then looks to the others. "Alright, so we will go to the meeting and talk to Katie Crest, and then we talk to her about two things… Being part of the tour, and not being part of the whole tour."
This shocks them, but they calm down and can tell they have something planned out.
"Then what did you guys have in mind?" asked Luan.
"Well, we're gonna need to setup a bunch of rules and regulations and that would mean we need to setup our own contract that would literally out the hurt inside of Katie Crest" said Lincoln. "Because it's obvious she wants to make millions through what we can do."
Jordan smirks and she can see where this is going. "Which means she won't like the demands of the contract, and if she doesn't abide by the contract then the band is out of the tour, now that is smart."
Lisa smirks. "Truly an amazing plan, but be warned that she would have the same ordeal of contract should you show her what you two have come up with."
Luna smirks. "Don't worry sis, and everyone. We got that covered, if she makes a contract we take our time and read it and I mean all of us." She looks to her band mates and tough they don't like the thought of taking time and reading something, they know it's for the best.
"Luna is right guys" said Sam. She then looks to her girlfriend. "So what else is the plan, babe?"
Luna smiles. "After we read what she has for us to sign up, we take our time to comprehend what would the next step be, and then we show her our contract and then we pull out the bargaining chip on where we leave her be to her own dumb plans."
Lincoln then speaks. "And chances she'll wanna change whats on the contract and that wouldn't do right, and so we would have to make the rules and show her what we have in store and if she doesn't like the rules then she can kiss her chance with us a goodbye."
Hope then has an idea. "I think Gretch and I can handle the contract, with the help from our parents of course."
"But we need to know the rules you guys have planned, so we can establish that into the contract" said Gretchen.
Lincoln and Luna smirk and fist bump each other and then look to the others. "Then let's make those rules dudes" said Luna. "Because the rules need to be abided by all of us, rules we can agree on that won't bite us in the rear when we do go on tour again."
They all like this idea and begin to talk about the rules and other stuff they need to agree on before the big meeting with Katie Crest tomorrow, and they hope Chunk will be fine with them as well, but they know he'll be chill with it.
