Chapter 644
After a shift, Iain, Adam, Cal, Ethan, Jacob, Jez, David had gathered in the Hope And Anchor, Iain having brought his mates pints.
"What's this about, Iain?" Jez asked, taking a sip of his pint.
"As you guys know, I proposed to Ruby" Iain said.
The lads cheered.
"I want one of you to be my best man. " Iain said as the cheers stopped. "That is." He looked around at his friends, before serrling on Cal. Cal. "
Cal almost choked on his drink. "Me?"
"Yep," Iain nodded.
"Mate. I'd be honoured. " Cal said as Iain pulled him in to a "Man hug" as they clapped each other on the back, Iain ordering more drinks to celebrate the fact he'd chosen his best man.
That afternoon, Ruby, Robyn and Jessica had drove in to town, looking at wedding dresses. Ruby wanted something short, white.
"What about this one?" Robyn said, holding up a short gown, which had beading over down the top half of the dress, with ruffles at the bottom.
Ruby took it off her, heading in to the changing room, with Jess.
"Oh, Ruby, you look beautiful. " Robyn said as Ruby come out of the dressing room, the dress clung to her bump. Robyn took a picture of Ruby, before she went to get changed. Now, it was shoes. Ruby wanted heels. After paying for the dress and asking Jess to look after it, the girls headed to a shoe shop. Ruby purchaused a set of shoes, then took the girls to a cafe.
Once they were sat down on sofas, sipping coffees, and for the pregnant women, deceaf tea, Ruby spoke, shocking the older women.
"I'd like Amelia to be my flower girl,"
"Oh," Jess said, surprised, she wasn't expecting Ruby to allow her daughter to have a part to play in her big day. But she was grateful.
After finishing the teas, Robyn drove then home, Iain already on the couch.
"How's my girl?" He asked.
With the wedding dress brought, bridesmaids and flower girl sorted, best men sorted, now all Iain and Ruby had to do, was book the church and find a photographer.
"I'd like Lucas to play a part" Ruby said sleepily.
