"Thank you."
Oh. That was…nice. Mob stared at the words on her phone. Thank you. Nothing after it. No emoji or picture, nothing to show her how he meant it. There was nothing that gave her any indication if this was a good 'thank you' or a sarcastic 'thank you' or a mean 'thank you' or…or she didn't even know what. Fukuda had sent this to Serizawa and he'd sent it to her. She…well this was meant for Sho so she had to forward it to him…
But didn't that count as talking?
A bead of sweat fell down onto her phone screen. She didn't know…she had no idea what this meant. She must have been meant to forward it. Serizawa didn't have Sho's number, it seemed. It would have been easier if he had. Then Mob wouldn't have had to think so hard. Then her heart wouldn't have been pounding like this. Then she wouldn't have had sweat dripping down her face. Then she…she wouldn't have had to think about this so hard. About if this counted as talking to Sho or not. She wasn't supposed to talk to Sho but…but it was important….Sho needed to know…
She hit forward.
Her heart was pounding. Was she going to get in trouble? She was so warm. The wind was cool but it didn't even feel like it was touching her. It had been cold just a minute ago. Shimazaki had brought them up high again and then given her something that looked like candy but didn't taste like candy. It had been bitter, like the mint she had stolen from Minegishi all those years ago. It was supposed to make her feel good…but she was too worried to feel good. She was going to…she needed something to drink. She needed…she needed something to drink….
Yes. A drunk would have made everything better.
"Don't thank me yet, Mob, it hasn't even kicked in yet." Said Shimazaki after a long drink of what tasted like beer but was in a bottle that felt like wine. Huh. What a country. Mob was reaching for the bottle, he let her have it. She it was her birthday after all…and even if it hadn't been then he still would have shared with her.
"No, it's not about that. Fukuda just said thank you…well he sent it to Serizawa and then Serizawa sent it to me and I sent it to Sho." said Mob before she took a drink from the bottle. She put it down between them and pulled out her phone. No more messages from Serizawa or Fukuda or Sho or anyone. Just the same alerts that she had been ignoring all day. Maybe she should have closed those.
A hand over hers.
"Hey, no playing telephone and no being on your phone. Nothing phone related. We've got to be in the moment." Said Shimazaki. He pushed her phone hand down. No way was he losing her to her phone. He needed to be near her right now. He needed to be right there with her because in this moment on this rooftop during what felt like twilight…it was a good moment. They needed to be in this moment. They needed to be here…and he needed something to drink.
"But we're always in the moment. It's not like we can leave the moment, we can't time travel." Said Mob. Yes, that made sense. She took another drink. That was such a weird thing to say. The moment….what other moment could they have been in? Or maybe it was always the future…or the past…or just…she wasn't sure how time worked. She knew how to tell time but who decided what this moment was? And who decided time? Maybe there was another Mob on another world in another time who was fourteen…and another who was twelve…and another who was thirteen and one day instead of thirteen and no days. Maybe…well it didn't matter because she had no choice but to be in this moment.
It was a nice moment.
"It would be so cool if we could, though. Think about it. I could have met Toshi again….I could have been there back in…did I tell you my mom was at that show?" asked Shimazaki. If he could have gone back in time, he was assuming once, he had no idea what he would have done with it. Meeting Toshi again…meeting Toshi was one of the best years of his life. Getting together with Mob was the second. But meeting Mom…he couldn't remember the day he'd met Mom…but it would have been nice to meet her before Dad…before Dad had treated her like…before the bastard had…or maybe that would have been a bad idea.
Maybe he would have wound up erasing himself from existence…or maybe he just really wanted to see the fucking show…he didn't know.
"What show?" asked Mob
"When the Beatles came to the arena, Budokan arena. My mom was there back in 1966." Said Shimazaki
"When you were growing in her stomach?" asked Mob
"What? No, I just said that she went there back in 1966. She was four or five or something. How old do you think I am?" asked Shimazaki
"Thirty three…well you will be, in October." Said Mob
"So, I'm still thirty two, so there." said Shimazaki. He wasn't that much older than he had been last year. Just one year. One year just as good as the one before it. He had no problem getting older. Life wasn't slowly slipping away from him and then by the time he'd gotten old enough he'd died and then he'd been a spirit and he was boring and…and he needed another drink. A drink and a hug. He pulled Mob close…she was so warm….
"I know, I'm sorry. What do you want for your birthday?" asked Mob as Shimazaki pulled her close. He took the bottle from her hands, some of it spilled down onto his shirt. That was good. She was a little less warm. It was so warm and Shimazaki felt so nice. His skin was soft. So was his jacket. She needed a hug…she needed all the hugs in the world.
"You." Said Shimazaki as he pulled Mob close. She was so warm. She was like Toshi but smaller, like a travel sized Toshi. He was going to be ok….everything was going to be ok so long as Mob was here, with him.
"I know that you want me to be there but I don't know what you want me to do." Said Mob
"I don't care what we do, I just want you to be there with me. You and Toshi." Said Shimazaki
"Um…but we should do something together, I mean you put this whole day together for me." Said Mob. Nobody had ever done this for her before, nobody but Minegishi. Well they were her best friend. Last year her best friend had given her a good birthday. This year her…her boyfriend did. She hadn't seen this coming, being Shimazaki's girlfriend, but…but it wasn't that bad. Maybe this wasn't…well things could have been worse. He loved her and she loved him and if that meant that she had to be his girlfriend the that was ok. There was love and love was the best thing ever. It didn't matter what kind of love it was. Friend love, family love, love-love, love was just the best thing in the world!
"Well that's because I wanted to. You needed this, you've been so down lately." Said Shimazaki. He hated that, how sad she'd been. Sadness was a waste of time and there was so little time left when you got down to it. So that was why you had to live each like it was your last and why you couldn't be afraid of anything. Not of being human. He loved her, she loved him, and there was so much love between them…damn. This was like love soup…like love pudding….like runny pudding made of love and closeness and togetherness and…God, he loved her so fucking much….
"I feel better." Said Mob. She felt…she felt like she could have gone floating right off of that roof. She could have….she reached for the bottle, it was empty. She was thirsty….so thirsty.
"See? I knew you would. All it took was running around Hongkong all day petting cats, eating garbage, and tripping random…well not that last part. Not for you. I know you how you hate that." Said Shimazaki
"I feel better." Said Mob
"Really? Well then why don't we-" said Shimazaki
"No, I mean I feel a lot better. It's…it's like…" said Mob
"It's hitting you, huh?" asked Shimazaki with a laugh. This was good stuff…he had done good. Mob was happy, he could see it. He could feel it. She was there and her aura was singing like really good, and very warm, vinyl. Physically warm. It sounded better if you pressed it to your chest for an hour, in the sleeve of course…was there a record store around here? Did he still have his record player? No, wait, this was Mob's day and on this day she picked what they did…and she had no appreciation for good music let alone good vinyl…his poor girlfriend….
"Yes. It's like…it's like there's a whole bunch of baking soda in my stomach and then I drank vinegar." Said Mob
"Disgusting. Vinegar, Mob? Really?" asked Shimazaki. And to think he had been about to kiss her. Now all he could think about was vinegar. How could he possibly kiss someone that he now imagined was full of vinegar…well actually he could get used to it, maybe, if it all came down to it.
"What else would make the baking soda explode?" asked Mob
"Why is there even baking soda involved? You ever eat baking soda? It's not good." Said Shimazaki
"Well then…I don't know. I guess…like I'm full of soda that got all shook up." Said Mob
"See? Now that's better. That makes more sense." Said Shimazaki. There. That made sense and now he could kiss her again and it all worked out. Yes. Now this was a good day.
"Why do you care if things make sense? You're Shimazaki, Ryou, you're Shimazaki." Said Mob
"That's right, I am Shimazaki Ryou…and you're Suzuki Shigeko, and that's our show." Said Shimazaki
"What show?" asked Mob
"Our show, you and me. Maybe like a sitcom or something. Or…wait, no, we're an anime." Said Shimazaki
"What kind of anime?" asked Mob
"I don't know, what do you think?" asked Shimazaki
"I think that we're slice of life…because we have lives." Said Mob. They had lives and she had her life and….and she liked her life. She liked it right now, anyway. She liked being here with Shimazaki. She liked being with someone who cared about her. She liked that her other friends were happy. She was even glad that Fukuda and Dad and Hatori were having a friends work trip. She was happy….she hadn't felt this happy in so long…..
"Alright then, now that we know what we are we can go from there." said Shimazaki
"Where are we going?" asked Mob
"Wherever the hell you want. If you want me to take you back to cats then we can find some cats, if you want me to take you to milk then I'll find a dairy farm, if you want to live the rest of your life on this roof then I'll find us a bed. Whatever you want." Said Shimazaki
"I want…I want to move. I want move around and…and walk and….and…" said Mob
"You want me to find us somewhere to dance?" asked Shimazaki
"Like a bar? Or one of those smoky places with loud music and dancing?" asked Mob. A place with drinks? With water and milk and…and she was thirsty. She was thirstier than she could ever remember being in her life.
"Maybe all of the above, maybe none of the above. I have no idea where I'm going but I know it's going to have a lot of people moving at once." Said Shimazaki. He closed his eyes and looked….well there were a lot of people there….it was too early for the real nightlife to start, the kind that Mob liked. He never would have pegged her for such a party girl back when they'd met, but that was part of the journey wasn't it? Learning new things about the person you were with? At least that was what the books had said.
He could see why Toshi was always reading books.
They really did help. He could see, sort of, the places and ways that he'd messed up when it came to Toshi. He had just sort of expected things to come into place without putting in the work. They had gotten overwhelmed and left…but he wouldn't let that happen with Mob. He had them both and he should have been the happiest man on Earth, hell he had enough Molly in him to make him the happiest man on Earth, but even with all of this he was still stuck in his own head.
He had to get out, for Mob's sake.
He looked around…so many people. People stacked on top of people…he had to look downwards. He had to find…ah, that was good. Right there. A lot of people moving together…he hoped to God that this was something Mob liked. He had to show her a good time, she was always trying to show him a good time. She had always been so thoughtful…he needed more thoughtful people in his life and he had to be that sort of person. He pulled her close and off they were.
It was a short trip.
Teleporting into a crowd was easy. Nobody was paying attention and if someone did managed to notice you they never said anything. Who would believe them? And who would believe themselves? No, it was child's play getting into the middle of a crowd like this. He held Mob close. She was tiny, she was vulnerable, and he couldn't lose her. He didn't want to lose her. She was so…so…she was up there with Toshi. She was warm and she felt like home and he loved her so much…he held her as close as he could. He needed her like he needed air or music or chocolate or-
-or a drink.
"I need a drink!" said Mob as loudly as she could. She pulled on Shimazaki, he was looking all over the place. She could feel his aura moving around…well it made sense. There were so many people here! This whole place was just…it was people! Wall to wall people! She loved this! New people meant new friends and what could have been better than making friends?
A cool glass of milk…or a cold glass of water….or something cold that would cool her down.
"Me too, but water for you. I don't want to kill you!" said Shimazaki
"What?" asked Mob
"You're going to be thirsty! It's easy to drink too much and die!" said Shimazaki
"I'll die if I don't have anything to drink!" said Mob
"Alright! But you're getting water…actually you're coming with me." Said Shimazaki. He took her hand in his and started pushing his way through the crowd. He loved Hongkong, he decided, people started partying really early into the night. This was his kind of place, and Mob's too. Not Toshi, they preferred to get fucked up alone in their garden…and that was ok. He had put too much onto Toshi. Toshi was Toshi and Mob was Mob.
And right now Mob was thirty.
His Cantonese may not have been the best, or even passable, but he knew the word for water…and he knew the words for 'how old is that girl?' but what he didn't know was the drinking age…it had to be….forty! Wait, no, too old. It was…not thirteen, that was for sure…it was….it was….
Wait, he knew!
"She's twenty, but she wants a water anyway." Said Shimazaki. Mob said something in Cantonese, the bartender said something in Cantonese…why couldn't they speak Mandarin? Everyone else in the world spoke Mandarin? He was ready to leave if he had to…but a glass of water was pressed into one hand and a beer into the other. Good. Now that all of that was over he could get back to Mob.
He passed her the water, she drank it down right then and there….ok, yeah, maybe he had given her a little too much….
"More please." Said Mob as she put the glass down. There was more talking. People were asking how old…right, right, right. The shirt and the crown…maybe this hadn't been the smartest thing to wear tonight. There were laws about drinking and stuff that made no sense. What did you age have to do with whether or not you could drink? That really seemed like something that you had to decide for yourself, in Mob's opinion. Eventually everyone got old enough to make their own choices, when they became adults, but there were some people like her that were ready before everyone else.
But that didn't matter, Shimazaki said that if she had any more to drink then she would die…and if Shimazaki said that something was dangerous then it was actually pretty dangerous.
"Are you feeling alright, Mob? You want to go home or….?" Asked Shimazaki as Mob polished off her second glass of bar water. Her aural output was happy but this was her first time…he had forgotten that she wasn't Toshi. She was a lot smaller and her tolerance wasn't anywhere near theirs…fuck. If she died then…ok, ok, she was moving and breathing and drinking and alive. He just had to keep on reminding himself of that fact.
"No way! I want to move! Let's…let's move, come on!" said Mob. She took Shimazaki's hand. She needed to move. Every single part of her body was telling her that she needed to move, so that was what she did. It was less dancing, she didn't know how to dance, and more swaying. She didn't know if this was the right way to move to this music…but he would have known. He knew a lot more about music than she did. He knew a lot more about a lot of things than she did, like having fun! He knew all the best places to go and…and he knew just how to make her happy.
She hadn't been happy in so long.
The last time she had been happy, really happy, was…maybe her last birthday. It had all gone wrong from there. Dad lying, her kicking him out of the family, their fights…Sho not liking her anymore…Mukai coming to the family was happy but she wished that Mukai had never been taken away in the first place…but there had been bits of happiness. Taking Mukai to Disneyland for the first time and seeing how happy she was. When she and Sho got all of those cats. Making up with Minegishi. Seeing Teru again…before everything went wrong…there had been a lot of good things about that last year, little bits of happiness, but they hadn't been lasting.
Not like this.
This was…this was like a happiness that was never going to end. She held Shimazaki close. He was always pulling her close like he thought that she was going to try and escape or something. She had no idea what went through his head sometimes. Why would she ever have left a friend like him? Someone who got her…he got her even more than Minegishi did. Minegishi loved her and she loved them but they still treated her like she was eight. She wasn't a kid anymore, she had been a kid when they'd met, but now she was an adult and…and it was nice to have someone treat her like one. Someone who could treat her like an adult without making it weird like Dad had. Shimazaki never talked about how she was an adult now, he just treated her like one. It was nice…it was good…it was perfect.
This was perfect.
She felt his hands on her back…that was nice. She needed to touch him. She needed to touch everyone. She needed…she wrapped her arms around Shimazaki. His hands still went up and down her back. She pushed them out of her hair, though, that was too weird. Dad used to rub her head like that…the last person she wanted to think about was her Dad. He was mean and if he had been there then he would have told her that he hated this, the person she had become. Someone who liked to have fun. Someone who liked to be happy. Someone who didn't always want to conceal everything, to stop feeling it. She wanted to feel this, she wanted to feel everything!
The world was so….so bright and…and wonderful and full of love!
"Mob, you're fucking incredible, you know that?" asked Shimazaki. He could heard her aura, he could feel her…he could feel her getting lighter. He made sure she stayed on the ground. The last thing that they needed was to draw more attention to themselves. He knew he was being watched….he missed Tokyo. If they had been back home then he could have taken her to five different places that didn't give a damn if you walked in with a tripping thirteen year old. Hongkong was, apparently, much less shady. Or maybe this wasn't a shady sort of place.
Not his sort of place at all.
He was the only person he knew who could be uneasy on molly. Even Toshi lightened up and they had come real demons tagging along. He needed to calm the fuck down. He could teleport her out if he needed to…but that wasn't the point. He couldn't let this night be ruined for her. He had purposely waiting until twilight for to take the molly because he didn't want the day to end. Knowing her she'd be up all night…perfect. He didn't care where they went or what they did just so long as they were together. Though if she wanted to do anything, anything at all, then he was up for it. She was so close to him…and he knew that it was hitting her…God she smelled so good and her aura was so loud….it was getting harder and harder to see the normal people.
He had to focus. He had just bumped into someone.
"Sorry about him! He's blind!" said Mob loudly. Shimazaki had bumped into someone on purpose again. She had no idea why he did that…well nobody was perfect and she had said sorry…but she was being stared at. What was everyone staring at? It was dark in here…and anyway if people wanted to stare at things then they should have gone to the movies or something. She was so tired of being stared at….
"I really am!" said Shimazaki as he steered her away. Right, right, right. He needed to focus. It was just so hard to see anything past her. To hear anything other than her. To feel….had her skin always been this soft? He ran his hands up and down the backs of her arms. She was so warm and soft…when had this happened? This was…what was it? She felt like smooth pudding…like…jello pudding! That was it. She felt like skimming the top of a cup of jello pudding. He ran his hands up and down the backs of her arms….God…how could one human being have possibly been this soft?
"I took my coat off!" said Mob
"What?" asked Shimazaki
"That's why you can feel my skin! I tied my coat around my waist!" said Mob
"That's good but not what I was doing!" said Shimazaki
"What?" asked Mob. It was too loud in here for conversations…poor Shimazaki. If it was hard on her ears then she didn't even want to think about how he must have been feeling. She pulled him down close so at least he wouldn't have to hear himself yelling. She should have thought about him more. He had made her feel this good, the least she could have done was make sure that he didn't feel bad.
"Your skin is ridiculously soft…but not in a serial killer way! More in a 'you're perfect and unbelievably hot' sort of way." said Shimazaki. She had pulled him close. He could feel her skin going to goosebumps. He kissed the shell of her ear. She shuddered. He did it again. That was good, he watched her. He felt her. She was gripping his arm so tightly that he could nearly feel her nails through his coat.
Good.
"Ryou…" said Mob. That was…she was still standing, that was good. She had always liked it when he did that. It was good but normally in a weird way…but why? Well because he was her best friend's boyfriend but…well Minegishi didn't seem to care, if they would have then they would have said something….and this was what adults did. This was what adults did and she was an adult and it felt better, now, than it had ever felt before in her life….
This felt good. She felt good.
"Yeah Mob, what's up?" asked Shimazaki
"Can you do that again?" asked Mob. She didn't care if she was outside and people could see her and stare and…and she just wanted to be happy. She just wanted to be happy for once and he wanted to make her happy and…and she was an adult now. She could do whatever she wanted and what she wanted was for him to…well that was her wanting him to do something….so…she'd have to think about this some more later-
-or never.
"Your wish is my command." Said Shimazaki before he did exactly what she asked. He would have done anything for her, anything at all. He would have picked her up and fucked her right then and there if he could have without being noticed. Fuck, there were so many people around….people taking an interest in him…in them….he could tell when he was being stared at, even when he was trying to look through Mob…and he knew when to get moving.
"Ryou, what are you doing?" asked Mob as Shimazaki took her by the hand.
"Getting you out of here." Said Shimazaki as he wove through the crowd…as best as he could. Maybe his tolerance wasn't what it used to be…or maybe Mob's aura was just too big. He could think about this later. Right now he had to lose the people who were staring very, very, intently at him. What was it with people and not being able to mind their own business? He knew Mob was great but people needed to learn to quit staring.
"Why? I was having fun." Said Mob
"Well unless getting caught, possibly arrested, or even exposed and explaining to your Dad why you let the cat out of the bag is your idea of fun then, yeah, we need to get a move on." Said Shimazaki
"Oh…um…through there!" said Mob. There was a place with a lot of people standing in their own groups and talking. Nobody was paying attention to anyone else. That was good. Shimazaki had said that most people weren't prepared to believe that psychic powers were real so you could get away with teleporting if there was a crowd. Nobody would believe that they saw someone disappear. They would keep it to themselves so that nobody thought that they were crazy. The trick was to disappear into a crowd…
And Mob was good at disappearing.
That was why she was called Mob. When she had been really little, back in preschool, the other kids used to say that she blended in so well it was like she was invisible. That she may not have been able to read the atmosphere but she could definitely blend into it. Even Mom had said that she really didn't stick out…but that was ok. She could use that to her advantage. Out of all of her power that was the most useful…well that and the telekinesis…but she wouldn't be doing that right now. If she used her telekinesis then she would have drawn more attention to them. They were trying to escape, not get captured, this was like a stealth mission…and Mob had always been good at those.
It went well.
Shimazaki got them out of there as soon as they joined in with the crowd of crowds. One minute Mob had been standing in the middle of a room listening to people talking and the next she was outside and all could hear was muffled music. The sky was dark, now, very dark…she didn't know how long she'd been in there for. She did know, however, that she was thirsty and she needed water to live…and earlier that morning Shimazaki had said 'come with me if you want to live' and she did want to live…it was so funny! He was so funny!
She laughed. He didn't.
"Mob, you uh…losing it there?" asked Shimazaki. Well that had sucked…but the night was still young. Or at least he assumed that it was. He didn't feel like asking his phone the time. It wasn't like he had anywhere to be but Mob's side. Was she cracking up? Did people crack up from this? He was fine…but then again he wasn't most people…fuck. Mob was laughing, honestly laughing, and it was such a good sound….
But he wasn't used to hearing her laugh like this, without covering her mouth. It was nice, but kind of…unnerving.
"No! I'm fine! It's just…it's funny because you said come with me if you want to live and I do want to live. It's just really funny, that's all." said Mob
"Oh…yeah, that makes more sense than what I was thinking." Said Shimazaki
"What were you thinking?" asked Mob
"That I'd fucked up." Said Shimazaki
"No you didn't, see? We didn't get caught, not once. We did it." Said Mob. She took his hand in hers. His hands were soft…maybe that was because he always had his barrier up…or maybe he just took good care of his skin. She liked that, when people took good care of themselves.
"So you're not pissed that we had to leave?" asked Shimazaki
"No, I don't care where we are just so long as we're together. You're just…you're so much fun, Shimazaki…Ryou. You're so much fun and you always know how to make me feel better. I feel…I feel so good. This feels good…I like this. This is better than coke and being stoned and…and everything else. Thank you for making me feel like this." said Mob before she reached up and pulled him down. He liked to kiss her and he had made her happy so…so she could kiss him too. It was…better than normal. The weirdness was gone from it. There wasn't love…she knew what it felt like to kiss someone you loved…but you didn't really need love for this, did you? You just had to care about the person you were with and Mob cared about Shimazaki. He cared about her and she cared about him…and that was better, she decided, than the way she had felt about Teru.
Much better.
There was less….less nervousness. She didn't have to worry about getting him in trouble or getting in trouble herself. She was an adult and this was what adults did and it wasn't like she was hurting anyone. This was nice, that was all that she could think about. All that she could let herself think about…it was easier to keep the thoughts in her head. The mean ones, the sad ones, the ones she didn't like. She could just focus on the happy feeling coming from inside of her.
And outside of her, too.
She felt his hand on her leg again…it was new but not…not weird. She didn't have that feeling anymore, that she was being watched, or that she had to worry about who was watching her or what people would say or what they would look at her and think. Minegishi didn't mind and they were the only person who got a say in this and….and she wanted to feel nice. She didn't want…she didn't want to feel sad again…like she had after she and Teru had done this….whatever this was.
She didn't mind whatever this was.
"Is this alright?" asked Shimazaki, his hand halfway up her thigh. She was a tsunami, she always was, but he wanted to hear her say it. There was nothing better than to hear her say it. There was nothing better than when someone aske you to…begged you to….needed you to….
"It is." Said Mob
"What do you want?" asked Shimazaki
"What do you mean?" asked Mob
"Do you want me to keep going?" asked Shimazaki
"…I do….if you want to. What do you want?" asked Mob
"Whatever you want…but don't hit me, don't chole me, and you can pull my hair but not hard enough to yank it out." Said Shimazaki
"Why would I want to do that?" asked Mob
"Some people are into it, I'm not, but I'm into pretty much everything else. I'm up for anything, too, you just have to ask." Said Shimazaki
"Ask?" asked Mob. Ask for…for what? How was she supposed to ask…what did she even want to ask? To feel nice? To know what it felt like when you didn't get your heart ripped out afterwards? To be happy and to keep on being happy? To make him happy? She wanted…she wanted all of that. She wanted all of it at once…and she wanted it right now. She leaned into him and kissed him. She didn't know how to say it. She didn't have the words. She knew so many word but she just…she didn't know any that would have fit….
"Ask me anything you can think of…like…if you want me to touch you then I'll touch you. If you want me to go down on you're then I'll go down on you. If you want to fuck then I swear to God I'll be the best you ever had." Said Shimazaki. He kissed his way down the side of her neck. Her hand was working it's way through his hair. Her nails were sharp but the right kind of sharp and her skin was soft and she was there and…and she was everywhere and he was there and….this was it, this was the moment, and they were in it. Together.
"I want to…" said Mob. That was so much and…and she could have asked. It was…it was ok. She could and…and she didn't know if…she didn't know if she could make it through another heartbreak…but he wouldn't break her heart. That wasn't who he was as a person. He was Shimazaki and he was her friend and…and she trusted him.
She knew him and she trusted him….and she knew that he would never have done anything to hurt her…no. He only wanted to make her feel good…..
"Whatever you want, the balls in your court." Said Shimazaki
"But…what do you want? And I know it's whatever I want but it makes me feel selfish when you tell me that it's whatever I want. What do you want?" asked Mob
"I want…I want to take you a place that isn't this alley…and I want to kiss you, and I want to touch you, and I want to make you feel the way you make me feel. I love…I like you a lot and…and I don't want to fuck this up. I don't want to push you. I don't want to fuck this up." Said Shimazaki. He felt Mob's hand on the side of his face.
"Shimazaki…you could never f-word it up and…and that sounds nice. I mean…if you wanted to go somewhere then…then that would be alright…" said Mob. He leaned down and kissed her and then she was in somewhere entirely new…and it was alright. She was so happy and thirsty and…and she wanted water. There was water here…it was so nice here, like what she imagined the inside of a castle much have looked like. The bed was big and the carpet was soft and…and this was a good place. This was a good birthday….she was happy. She was so happy and then she was happier and happier and…
And in the end all she could say was 'thank you'.
