A/N: Hello. :) I just thought I'd get this story posted for a friend. As you may see as you go along, it's a different version of the 2003 movie of "Hulk". I'd like to remind everyone that it is not part of the MCU. And the main cast is Eric Bana as Bruce Banner, Fred Tatasciore as Hulk, Jennifer Connelly as Betty Ross/Red She-Hulk, Sam Elliott as General 'Thunderbolt' Ross, Laura Bailey as Rebecca II, Lindsay Seidel as Isabella, Troy Baker as Theodore, and Nick Nolte as David Banner/Devil Hulk. I know what you're thinking. Why get David to become Devil Hulk? The truth is, my brother came up with the idea. Once I checked with a friend (bconfer368) about said idea, he okay'd it. That means things could get very interesting from here on out. But I'll have to warn you, it's a bit darker than the original in terms of flashbacks, but at the same time, also light-hearted at calm moments. Also, since someone is going to be mute (you'll have to find out who by reading this chapter), a friend told me how it'd go, that way, we'll know how someone talks. "Talking": normal text "TALKING": bold text. The Bold text means that someone is using sign language. Anyhoo, enjoy. :)

Hulk and Red She-Hulk

Chapter 1: The Banner Bloodline

On a black starry background, as the sun shines on the planet, the camera pans backwards across Europe and Africa. Then "UNIVERSAL" in white with golden bordering rises upward as the sun pans down, and light glows on the continents. Then the screen eases back to its familiar position. The continents glow as the globe revolves showing the Americas. The sun shines, leaving a glow behind the Earth. Then the byline that reads "A COMCAST COMPANY" fades in underneath. The "UNIVERSAL" name shines before fading out.

Afterwards, on a green-tinted background, we see a series of Marvel's Hulk comic book panels flipping downward second by second like a flipbook. "MARVEL", zooms out, fading in as a black outline. As the panels fade into a simple green gradient background, the "MARVEL" logo fades into a solid white color before a line draws itself underneath the logo, which then splits into another line and the word "STUDIOS" spreads out. The line and the word lower themselves below the original line. As the background is finished, "MARVEL" continues to zoom away as the logo fades out before then showing a water drop falling and moving away before then creating a sort of wave, which is now flowing with light as the screen tilts to the side before then showing the following opening credits in green in front of the X-Rays of certain patients as well as the pictures of the mental activities of said patients before then zooming in toward a green cell; "UNIVERSAL PICTURES AND MARVEL ENTERTAINMENT PRESENT" and "A VALHALLA MOTION PICTURES/GOOD MACHINE PRODUCTION". Then, as it showed the inner workings of a green cell and a red cell, it showed the credit "AN ANG LEE FILM" before then showing "AND" in the middle of a black screen with one half of the word in green and the other in red before a light shone from behind the word, showing two words with one above it and the other below it, showing "HULK AND RED SHE-HULK" before the logo zoomed forward and past the screen to show a jellyfish up close then getting poked in the needle, which then extracted its blood.

Afterwards, as the rest of the opening credits showed, the needle then poured the liquid onto a Petri dish with the liquid then showing numerous chromosomes below the notes involving the Jellyfish's immune system activity before the scientist then grabbed a starfish and placed it on the dissection table before cutting one of its legs off and then taking a piece of it and putting it in a beaker before pouring the liquid into a small bowl before placing it in the centrifuge and spinning it around before looking through his microscope and later doing a sort of brief radiation test and looking at the results with a starfish regrowing it's lost limb while the limb itself grew into another starfish in a matter of weeks. Then, he tried administering a sort of formula to a monkey, only for the notes to later say that it died from the toxins before the scientist then administered the toxin to the lizard, which later proved to be immune as the scientist took its sample and placed a vial containing said sample among all the others with the centrifuge used again with the formula then administered to another monkey before a sort of Gas was released on it later in its cage, making it act sort of rashly, earning the scientist's slight shake in the head before the scientist later looked at the monkey's blood samples via microscope and then looking up.

Later, the scientist was speaking with the general at the desert base.

"There's simply no way to shield against every weaponized agent. Instead, I can make Super-immune systems by strengthening the human cellular response.", the scientist assured.

However, the General did not agree with him.

"Banner, I know where you're going, but manipulating the immune system is both dangerous and stupid. The president's science advisors made it absolutely clear: no human subjects.", the general responded before it then later showed David administering the formula to himself, which affected something in his body (only on the inside, not outside) before he was later at home one night with his wife, Rebecca Banner, who had some news for him.

"David, I have wonderful news. I'm going to have 2 babies.", Rebecca spoke before 9 months later, she started groaning in slight, yet escalating pain as she was about to give birth.

Sometime later, David was now in front of a crib with a baby boy named Bruce Banner in it with a pacifier in his mouth, that is until David removed it from his mouth, making Bruce cry as he then sat down with David noticing his legs starting to get in slight spots, making them appear as though they're dirty with a slight green discoloration.

Later on, Rebecca was doing some planting with her son Bruce watching from nearby with a smile. Soon, it was Christmas time with David and Bruce in the same room as the latter opened his present to show inside a stuffed T-Rex as Rebecca made dinner.

"What's it going to be? Whoa, look at that. Bruce, huh? You want the dinosaur? Come on, let's have a little fight. Come on. You don't scare me. You don't scare me. Hey, mmm, that's a delicious eyeball. Ooh, you're big, green, and scary. I'm gonna run away.", David spoke as he and Bruce played with each other before he later took some of Bruce's blood to examine it and then grew concerned before writing in his notes how it confirmed his fears before deciding that he has to find a cure.

Sometime later, a little girl was wandering around in the same lab where David was working up until she saw a sort of collection of glass beakers with chemicals inside, including one in particular titled "Promethium Red".

Meanwhile, a couple of kids named Isabella and Theodore went in Ross' office.

"Theodore? And Isabella? What are you two doing here?", Ross asked.

"We're looking for Betty. One minute she was with us, but the next, she's wandered off on her own to who-knows-where!", Theodore responded.

"And we've been looking everywhere for her.", Isabella added as it then showed Betty looking around the lab in the meantime.

It wasn't until a sort of monkey in a cage screeched a little that the girl was caught by surprise, not only cutting herself deeply, literally, to the point where she wailed loudly, but also knocking a beaker of volatile chemicals into another beaker of chemicals like it, causing it to bubble wildly at an exponential rate. It was only a matter of time before...KABOOM! The chemicals exploded, even knocking Betty toward the counter, not only making her lose consciousness, but also causing Promethium Red to topple over and fall onto where the cut on her hand is as a soldier passing by noticed the accident after overheating what happened and then ran as quickly as he could.

Back at the office, the same soldier burst in.

"General Ross, sir!", the soldier shouted.

"What is it?", the soldier spoke.

"It's about your daughter, Betty. She wandered into Dr. Banner's lab.", the soldier responded before Ross had a look of shock and fear.

Later, he, Theodore, and Isabella hurried over to the lab in ruins and noticed Betty unconscious as she had lost a lot of blood due to a cut on her hand.

"Oh, no...!", Isabella gasped in fear.

"No...! Betty!", Ross shuddered in fear before hurrying over to her and cradling her while shedding tears as he sobbed.

"This is terrible…! If only we'd kept a close eye on her…!", Isabella sobbed.

Unable to bear the weight of seeing Ross like this, let alone seeing Isabella cry, Theodore turned away in shame before speaking to the soldier.

"How long ago did this happen?", Theodore asked.

"Nearly a minute ago. Why?", the soldier responded.

"Good. Then there's still some time to save her. I'll have a talk with you two later.", Ross responded just as Theodore then only to notice something of critical importance regarding the samples at the counter.

"Uh..., Dad? I know this might not be the best time, but...you might want to look at those samples.", Theodore suggested.

"What do you mean?", Ross puzzled.

"Those samples… they're human.", Theodore responded.

"What…?", Ross spoke, starting to get angry.

Meanwhile, Rebecca was now holding the new addition to the family, Rebecca Banner Jr., or Becca for short, who was cooing a bit as Bruce walked in with a limp before his friend followed him.

"Bruce, you're hurt.", Rebecca spoke before Bruce's friend followed and explained the situation.

"Jack hit him with a stick, but Bruce wouldn't hurt him back. He just stood there shaking!", Bruce's friend reported as Bruce, Becca, and Rebecca went to a different room.

"It's okay.", Rebecca assured before Becca cooed a little while looking at Bruce, making him look up at the baby with a slight grin before Rebecca later put a bandaid on his head to help the wound heal before Bruce and his friend went back outside to play.

"Yeah, it's strange he didn't make a peep. Any other kid would've wailed his head off.", the mother of Bruce's friend spoke.

"That's Bruce. He's like that. He's just so...bottled up.", Rebecca spoke.

Later, Betty, now recovered as her hand was wrapped in a white cloth, was with Theodore and Isabella at the diner.

"Don't you worry. We're not letting you out of our sight again.", Isabella assured with Betty cooing a bit in response.

"Just what is going on here, Dad...?", Theodore sighed to himself in worry.

Meanwhile, at the lab, having found out the samples were human blood, Ross was livid and went to David in the lab.

"The samples we found in your lab; they were human blood. You've ignored protocol.", Ross spoke to David.

"You had no right snooping around in my lab. That's my business.", David only retorted before Ross only grew angrier with him very quickly.

"WRONG! This is my business! My little daughter Betty wandered into your lab and lost a lot of blood! SHE COULD'VE BEEN DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR TWISTED EXPERIMENTS!", Ross berated angrily as he pushed the microscope to the side, breaking apart the chemicals in the process before taking a deep breath and continuing, still angry, but much calmer.

"And it's not just my business either...! It's government business and you're off the project!", Ross finished before David gave a sort of glare.

Later, David had to burst through the gate and start up the fail-safe by turning both keys and then setting a 30-minute timer before starting it up as the alarm blared, prompting the speaker to report the situation to all personnel present.

"Attention all personnel: fail-safe has been initiated. Gamma decontamination will occur in thirty minutes. Evacuate immediately. I repeat, evacuate immediately!", the speaker urged.

Meanwhile, back at home, Rebecca was playing with Bruce and Becca Jr. when a wailing alarm sounded, urging Rebecca to hide her children and herself as they hid underneath the table just as David arrived home by car and then went inside before heading toward his wife.

"Rebecca.", David spoke.

"David, what's going on?", Rebecca asked.

"I gotta talk to you, Rebecca.", David only replied as he then grabbed Rebecca away from Bruce and Becca Jr.

"Bruce, Becky, stay here!", Rebecca urged as she was getting dragged into the room.

"What are you doing?", Rebecca asked before David then closed the door.

"What's going on?", Rebecca asked.

"Ross fired me.", David responded to her.

To Bruce and Becca Jr., it was all muffled speeches from here. So, the former decided to continuing to play with his little sister as he got the green dinosaur while Becca Jr. got the monkey and the two children decided to play with each other. But it was only a matter of time before the shouting grew louder and the two turned toward the door.

"David, please stop it! No! David, no!", Rebecca shouted as David screamed in slight anger.

Just then, when the door opened, a sort of dark gray saurian-like being with glowing red eyes and sharp, shark-like teeth burst in briefly with a roar.

After that, a girl was seen thrashing everything around her in her sleep before a boy rushed over to a woman nearby downstairs.

"Mom, it's happening again!", the boy urged before he and the woman ran upstairs and tried to wake the girl up.

"Becca, Becca. Wake up.", the woman spoke before Becca Jr., now grown up to 10 years of age, but silent for whatever reason, stopped thrashing and woke up to see the woman, Mrs. Krenzler to be exact, and his big brother, Bruce, a 14-year-old before she silently sobbed with Bruce hugging her.

"Hey, it's okay.", Bruce assured.

"Another nightmare?", Mrs. Krenzler asked.

"NOT JUST ANY NIGHTMARE, BUT THE SAME ONE, AND I'M SCARED, MOMMY.", Rebecca responded .

"Oh, come here, honey.", Mrs. Krenzler spoke before embracing a trembling and silently sobbing Rebecca into a hug.

"It's okay. It's just a nightmare. It wasn't real.", Mrs. Krenzler assured.

Sometime later, Bruce and Rebecca were now packing up.

"Already off to college. Gonna miss you two terribly.", Mrs. Krenzler spoke.

"We'll miss you, too.", Bruce responded.

"Please, come here. Look at you two. Soon to be great scientists.", Mrs. Krenzler admired.

"I guess. I mean, who knows?", Bruce agreed.

"There's something inside you... so special. Some kind of greatness. I'm sure. Someday you're gonna share it with the whole world.", Mrs. Krenzler assured.

A/N: Looks like things started out rough for them. And one of these days, something inside Bruce and Betty will be unleashed at the same time…
