Mages
Beings who have mysterious power within them called Magic
They are people who seek the truth of the origin of their magic and where they originated
In order to become a mage, one must come to a Magic School to become a noble mage
In Fiore, at the edge of the town, stood a grand school as it is Belserion High, a majestic school that gives young mages a bright future in the magic world
Many female students came walking to the school as some chatted with each other, some walks towards the school minding their own business, and a particular someone walks towards the school, while being eyed by many
A male student approached the school as he wore crimson long pants, a white shirt that is covered in a black vest that has a symbol of a dragon on the right shoulder, and was wearing a pair of nerdy looking glasses with his hair combed back down
He is Natsu Dragneel, and he is a freshman student of Belserion High, a School that is specifically for girls only, but now started to merge with males as Natsu Dragneel is the first male student of the school
"hey, who's that boy?" "is he some sort of pervert in cosplay?" "is he a girl?" "he has pink hair?" chatters started to spread as the man in named just walks towards the school while carrying his bag at his side
in the Belserion high's student auditorium, all female students gathered in the place as they watched in front as the school headmistress, Irene Belserion took to the stage with her fellow teachers, sitting by her side
"hello everyone, welcome back to your first freshmen year in Belserion High, first I must thank you all for continuing in our amazing school" Irene said as she did a short bow and her students instantly applauded her before stopping as she recontinued her opening speech "now as you all know that in order to become an amazing mage, one must train one's magic, control it, and embrace it, that is the wisdom of our world"
"without a further ado, may I call Belserion Highschool Student President, A rank; Erza Scarlet to the podium?" Irene spoke out as Erza Scarlet appeared on stage and stands upon the podium
She tapped the mic a few times to test if it is working before adjusting her glasses
"thank you, Headmaster." Erza bowed to Irene before focusing her attention to her fellow students "as you all may know from middle school section, this year we have now initiated a mix gender in program"
Chatters started to spread as student after student started to whisper
"please be quiet" Erza spoke out as the chatters soon stop
"now, may you come to the stage, Belserion High's new male student this year" Erza said as from the backstage came Natsu Dragneel "Natsu Dragneel. The stage is yours"
Natsu took to the podium as he stands in front of it
"um…..good day to you all and that is it" Natsu said before he walked to the backstage with no more words
"what was with that guy?" "he sounds like some nerdy cocky bastard" "what's with his words?" "so egoistic"
Whispers spread in an instant as everyone chatters nonstop
"everyone! Please keep your voice!" Erza spoke out to the mic as everyone keeps on chattering
Irene looks to the backstage as Natsu steps down the stairs and was gone from sight
An amused smile formed on her lips as she giggles a bit
The opening ceremony had ended and it was now the start of the first day of the school
In Belserion Highschool, Class division are based on skill level and intelligence.
D Rank; the Class for Freshmen/ Rookie beginner Mages Level
C Rank; the Class for Intermediate Mages Level
B Rank; the Class for Advanced Mages Level
A Rank; the Class for Experienced Mages Level

Girl students were chatting with each other as everyone were smiling and laughing in joy but for Natsu Dragneel, he just sat by the front corner desk while reading a small book in his hand
He keeps on reading and reading, before he stopped when someone went in front of his seat
Natsu looks up and was face to face with a blonde girl
"hi! You're the transfer student, Natsu Dragneel, right?" she asked with a smile "my name is Lucy Heartfillia! Nice to meet you!"
She reached out a hand towards Natsu as the man looks to her and the hand before shaking it
"so? What is your magic? I use Celestial Magic! And I'm a Holder Class!" Lucy stated
Magic Class
A term that is used to specify two different type of mages
There are two class of magic in the world
Holder Class are a type of magic that can only be used by using a certain magic item
While Caster Class are Magic that is from the inner self rather than the use of items
"Caster Class, Fire Magic" Natsu replied
"Can you show me?" Lucy asked as Natsu just lifts his finger up and a small flame lit upon it "wow! That's so cool"
Soon the bell rang as it signs the start of homeroom class
"oops! That's the bell!" Lucy said "it was nice meeting you!"
Lucy went back to her seat while Natsu just looks out the window and sees the spring leaves flying around
School come and go, as magic lessons were given, practices were made.
A female teacher was teaching the class about the basic in magic chants before hearing the bell rang, signaling the afternoon break
The teacher left the class while the students went out of class while some stayed behind
Natsu sat by his desk as the man takes out his book and just reads, not bothering to get out
Lucy was chatting with some other girls before hearing a loud commotion from outside
"what's that sound?" Lucy asked as everyone looks outside and sees Erza facing against a white hair girl who had a bad girl type of appearance
"it's Erza-senpai and Mirajane-senpai!" "two members of the Seven Empresses!" "oh no! are they going to duel!?" Whispers spread as they watched the two facing against each other
The Seven Empresses
Seven students who are chosen of their amazing magic level, keen intelligence, and amazing capability in the school ranks
Seven Empress, A Rank Titania Erza Scarlet
Seven Empress, B Rank Majin Mirajane Strauss
These Seven elected students have power comparable with the headmistress and can only be dethroned of their title by the headmistress or a duel with another student who seeks the title
A battle between two empresses may bring a devastating outcome in the end
Erza glared at Mirajane who smirks to her, a rivalry sparks between them as red and purple aura rages around
"I'll say this one more time, red head" Mira said "let's settle this in a Magic Duel"
"fine" Erza said taking off her glasses "I'll show you what It means to be a mage"
In Belserion Highschool, there is only one way to settle a dispute between students and that is by a magic duel
Once the conditions of the magic duel had been sealed, there is no backing out of it
"if I win, you're going to be my underling, and you can't defy me till the end of highschool" Mira said crossing her arms
"very well, but if I win, you are to follow the school's clothes regulation and start acting like a proper student for the entire high school year" Erza said
"the conditions are set" Mira grins "at the arena, after school"
Mirajane then leaves as nearby students made way for her
"a battle between two empresses, this is going to be bad" Lucy said
Natsu heard the whole commotion outside as he just reads his book before closing it
"magic duel…..how foolish" Natsu spoke out before hearing the bell ring as it means the end of the afternoon break and class continued
The school was over but all the students weren't leaving as they were heading to the auditorium hall
Everyone gathered in the hall as they made a giant circle with Erza and Mira in the middle of it
A loud alarm soon rang out as a magic circle appeared as it shines and the ground instantly lifts up
The hall transformed as the nearby students were sat into the crowd stands while Erza and Mira stood in the middle circle that instantly formed a battle arena
"this time, I'll pummel you to paste" Mira said cracking her knuckles
"and like always, I shall see to that every student of Belserion highschool to learn how we ethic the likes of you" Erza said placing away her glasses
A clock appeared as it showed the countdown of five minutes
"close combat, magic blasts but no killer attacks, sounds good?" Mira asked as her aura rages in a purple color
"that is if you don't cheat again like last time" Erza said as her aura rages in red color
"heh, I'm not like last time" Mira grins before her body shined and she undergoes a transformation that turns her body into part human and part demon "I've gotten a hell a lot stronger!"
"like wise" Erza said as her clothes disappeared and she now wore an angelic metallic armor with four metal wings spreading behind her back "I shall show you the fruits of my training
"waaah! It's Mira-san's Satan Soul Take over!" "Erza-san is serious! It's her Heaven Wheel Armor!" "they're really going to battle?" chatters started to spread as the crowds watched the arena and the two competitors
Lucy watched the arena as she had never seen a Magic Duel up close
"if two Empresses fight each other, who will win?" she asked herself before a loud horn rang out
A timer started ticking as it was counting down from the number 5 and was turning to 4 then 3, and continued on
As the timer clicked, Erza and Mira went into a battle stance as they readied themselves for a fight
Several figures in the shadows watched the battle from the sidelines as so did Natsu who watched from the entrance of the arena
The timer reached zero before a loud horn rang
Erza and Mira instantly dashed towards each other as both clashed against each other before going in for another attack
The crowds instantly cheered as some cheered for Erza and some cheered for Mira
Erza had swords appearing all around her before they all flied towards Mira
"not gonna work this time!" Mira exclaimed as she held her hands out and fired dark magic blasts at the incoming swords
The swords were deflected before Erza came swooping in on the attack
Reptilian wings appeared on Mira's back as they flapped one time and Mira flew up, dodging Erza's attack
"eat this!" Mira exclaimed as she charged up a dark energy sphere in her hands before throwing it at Erza
Erza saw the attack before a giant dust explosion blew out and clouded the field
The crowds shielded their eyes from the dust as it was spreading everywhere
"did she won?" Lucy asked as to know if Mirajane had won the battle against Erza
The dust cleared and revealed a giant shield in the middle of the arena
The shield separated before revealing Erza holding the shield in a different armor
"it's her Adamantium Armor!" "so cool!" "her strongest defense armor!"
Mira landed a few feet away as she gritted her teeth
"tch! Then how about this!?" Mira exclaimed as black static started to spread around her hands
"still the ungiving up type, huh?" Erza said as her armor shined before she now wore a black armor with a giant jagged mace "then I shall teach you how to give up"
"heh! Evil Spark!" Mira shouted as she fired a black static blast at Erza
"haaaah!" Erza swings her giant mace down as it causes a shockwave blast flying towards Mira
The two attacks collided and caused dust to blow out before Erza and Mira dashed towards each other
The two sends their attack against each other as they clashed in power
The crowds cheered on as the two fights non stop
Erza swings her mace at Mira as she blocked it but got pushed down to one knee in an instant
The ground bellow cracks as a crater was formed
"do you surrender?" Erza said as she applied pressure to her mace, pushing Mira down
"guuuh, like hell….I'M GOING TO LOSE TO YOU, BITCH!" Mira gritted her teeth as a tail grew out bellow her back and it swipes sand at Erza's eyes, causing her to skid back
Mira grins before she fired multiple black magic blasts at Erza
The attack hits Erza as this caused her to grunt out in pain, with her armor shattering into pieces
"that's cheating!" Lucy exclaimed as Mira had just done foul play "someone has to stop her!"
Natsu saw the scene before he disappeared into the shadow
Mira smirks as she charged up a big black sphere of magic in front of her
"now! Go to hell, you bitch!" Mira shouted before she fired the attack at Erza who was still blinded from the sand attack
The crowds screamed as the attack was too powerful and could cause serious damage upon someone
The black magic sphere flies towards Erza before it was flicked away to the ceiling and exploded
Rubble came falling to the ground as the crowds screamed
"what the?!" Mira exclaimed as she saw someone standing in front of Erza and had just deflected her attack with ease
Lucy shielded her head from the falling rubble before she looks to the arena
"isn't that….Natsu?!" Lucy exclaimed as on the arena was Natsu himself
Natsu stood in the arena with his right hand to the side as he had just deflected Mira's attack but got his entire right sleeve shredded
"you….." Mira said as she saw on Natsu's right hand was a long crimson red Dragon Tattoo that spreads around his entire right arm to his fingers "the hell you're doing on the arena!? This is a magic duel between me and redhead!"
Natsu looks at her before taking off his glasses and slowly opened his eyes while his hair turned spiky
Mira saw his eyes as they were glowing red and were in the form of a reptilian slit
"I don't care….." Natsu said as he tilts his head to the side
Irene Belserion, the Headmistress of her high school watched from a crystal orb as it shows Natsu on the arena field
"so you showed your flames…" Irene said before smiling "Natsu Dragneel?"
