"Stupid, perverted, useless, stealing, fucking pathetic excuse of a sensei. See if my ass ever trusts you again." Naruto grumbled under his breath before taking a shot of sake.
For the last hour he's been drinking in the bar. Turns out that the fox cleanses his system of the alcohol he ingests. Although the process is slow compared to his usual extremely quick healing rate. If he consciously uses the fox's chakra then the alcohol will burn away faster. So for the last hour and a half he's been keeping himself drunk. This has been the best way to keep his anger subdued so far.
Reason why the 16 year old blond is angry is because of a few things he's learned about his so-called 'sensei.'
It all started three nights ago when a certain perverted sannin had gotten shit faced drunk. He had found Naruto training in a secluded spot only to pass out as soon as he got close to the blond. Naruto was already annoyed by Jiraiya for not taking his training seriously during the ongoing training trip. They've been together for about a year now. Jiraiya has only how to make his rasengan bigger, how to break out of a genjutsu and somewhat working on his taijutsu. Honestly Naruto wouldn't care about what Jiraiya does if only the man was serious about his training as he proclaims. It doesn't help that an hour before Jiraiya arrived, Naruto discovered the secret to the shadow clone jutsu. While he was happy to realize the benefits of this development, especially how it could be applied to his training. He was also infuriated that Jiraiya had not thought to inform him of it. Granted Naruto probably should've learned this when he first learned the jutsu. But Jiraiya is his sensei, he's supposed to tell Naruto these things.
The blond did not doubt for a second that Jiraiya knew of this. However he decided to let it be at the time. When he was about to help the pervert up. He saw Jiraiya's notepad on the ground. It was open, showing a random page. Not thinking anything of it, Naruto picked it up and was about to close it until he saw his name titled at the top of the page.
Curiosity getting the better of him, he read what the sannin wrote since his name was on top of the paper. Imagine his surprise when he learns that Jiraiya has been stealing money from him while Naruto is asleep. The same money Naruto won from the casinos he visited while they have been traveling on the road. It's mainly due to his devil's luck of course. It hurt to know that his own sensei had been stealing from him
But then he learned about Jiraiya's true intentions on why he chose to train Naruto. Apparently he learned that he's a part of some sort of prophecy. The prophecy involves him eventually bringing some great change to the world. Whether it be for the world's salvation or destruction is still unknown. Naruto had a hard time believing that he's involved. Not only that but the bastard wrote how he planned to mooch off of Naruto for the rest of his life once Naruto apparently saves the world. Then he will use Naruto's name to get all the women he wants. Saying that while Naruto has little to no talent now. Eventually they can build something. Which is one of the two reasons for this training trip. The other being to stay off the Akatsuki's radar. Being in Konoha will draw too much attention to himself. Also decreasing the chances of the Akatsuki targeting Konoha.
While Naruto was becoming more and more angry at Jiraiya the more he read. Nothing infuriated him more when he learned that the pervert is actually his godfather. Apparently he reminded Jiraiya too much of his late apprentice. So he chose not to have anything to do with Naruto for the first 14 years of his life. Essentially abandoning the young blond. Jiraiya only took interest in Naruto because of the potential dangerous threat of the Akatsuki. Along with the fact that the blond showed some potential during the month of training for the finals. Anger and betrayal were raging through his veins. He felt no anger towards his father. Naruto could not judge the man until he learned the full story. No all of his anger was directed towards the pathetic excuse of a godfather.
As much as he wanted to kill the man right there and then. Naruto decided it was better off for him to just leave and travel on his own from now on. He no longer wanted anything to do with Jiraiya. Knowing that he may risk suffering consequences for leaving Jiraiya. Not one single fuck was given. While he could just return to Konoha to tell Tsunade what he learned. Naruto figured they might try to force him to stay with Jiraiya regardless.
The blond traveled at a very fast pace for two and a half days. When he made it to a small village, he learned that he traveled a very far distance away from Hi no Kuni. The country he was in is called Tanima no Kuni. Once he found a hot spring to clean himself up at. He changed into a new pair of clothes he bought when he first arrived in the village.

Gamakichi taught him about summoners being summoned to the world of their summons by reverse summoning. He asked Gamabunta to not reverse summon him if Jiraiya comes to the toads asking for help in looking for him. The toad boss gave Naruto his word that the toads will not assist Jiraiya if he asks. He also informed Naruto if he needed help in his training. The blond is more than welcomed to come to Mt Myōboku for assistance.
Shaking himself out of his thoughts, Naruto gulped down another shot. Slamming down the glass on the bar countertop.
"You can really handle your alcohol huh handsome?" An angelic, sultry feminine voice spoke out to him softly.
Turning his gaze to his left, Naruto's eyes widened as he laid eyes on the most beautiful woman he's ever come across. She had exceedingly long red hair with beautiful, soft, porcelain-like skin. The blond didn't know how to take that. Deciding he's better off not knowing.
After a full minute of silence, the redhead spoke up again.
"Wanna talk about it? It's better to get it off of your chest rather than let it fester into something worse by holding in it. Who better to talk about your problems with other than a drunken stranger you just met almost ten minutes ago?" Her tone held nothing but honesty.
For some reason, he couldn't stop himself from laughing at how true her words were. He's all by himself in a country that far away from his home. What the hell else did he have to lose?
"What's so funny, dattebane?" Kushina frowned slightly.
