Family of Two.

Chapter 195: Healing, Comforts and Truths.

(The Loud House.)

The day has come and the sun has shone, and breakfast is done for the mother and… daughter, Michelle Lewis and Delilah. They both walk out of the house and head to Michelle's red Ferrari.

But they look back to the house and have this uneasy feeling. "Mom…." Michelle looks to her 13-year old daughter. "Is it even okay for them to be here? Shouldn't we be here for them?"

Michelle sighs. "As much as I would wanna be there for them, Luna insisted that she handle this herself and that we head onto what we have to do for the day. You need to go to school and I'm called back by Reiningers to help with some of the renovations. It's for the best."

Delilah nods. "I understand mom, and I hope Lincoln and Luna get well, mostly Lincoln… He went through so much and… I just feel so bad for them."

"Me too dear, me too." Michelle and Delilah go into the car, and they drive off to the Middle School and then to the Royal Woods Mall for Michelle. They got one heck of a day ahead of them.

Harriet watches them leave and she sees Mr. Grouse waving, and he has this sad face after hearing what had happened. Word got out about Lincoln being tortured by Hank and Hawk and how they hurt Lincoln was enough to make the town sick and enraged.

Throughout social media, the folks of Royal Woods demand that Hank and Hawk be locked away forever and to never, ever be let out. Heck, even Margo and other sports captains in the schools are now landing blames onto the sports captains of Hazeltucky for not doing anything before.

Hank and Hawk have been dubbed as the biggest issue and responsibility and so they will be under their watch and lock and key. Hazeltucky is now marked as a rival to Royal Woods, and the town is trying to talk to Mayor Davis that they're town is not bad and that they had no idea that this would happen.

Mayor Davis doesn't respond, but she might soon. Because even sh found it disgusting and horrible for the breakout of Hank and Hawk from Hazeltucky juvenile hall.

Harriet then goes back into the house and she looks around. 'There's nothing else to do now. All the chores are done, and nothing else to work on and I have finished my talk with those who have passed and soon…. No! Later, I will tell Lincoln and Luna what I have for them.'

'No more hiding the secret, I am done hiding from the conflicts. Because they need to know what the Willard name owns, and that it would prove to be beneficial for the future and sake to the lives of the two louds, and I need to know if Michelle will be willing to go with my plan.'

(Upstairs.)

The alarm clock is off, and the breakfast has been set onto a tray near the table, a breakfast for two people, and even though the alarm clock is off, Luna is awake and she is cradling her son, Lincoln as she sits onto the bean bag chair.

Last night, Lincoln had a nightmare and he couldn't bear to sleep alone, believing that when he opens his eyes again that he'll be back in that dreaded squirrel suit. Luna knows he feels safe in her arms and safer under her watch, as she has done for a long time now.

Having to see Lincoln get taken away again… It hurts her, and it makes her feel as if she can't do anything anymore and can't be able to even keep him safe from harm, but that won't stop Luna from keeping up her role to be there to ensure he remains comforted and alright from harm.

Luna then recalls when he was in that damned squirrel suit, and when she freed him that was a relief, but the way he screamed and panicked from the sight of the squirrel suit, that was something she can never, ever remove from her head. That was the scream of someone who has seen a returning nightmare from the inner thoughts.

It sounded like someone had seen something so scary, that they couldn't be able to describe or even continue to live with what they have seen and the one thing Luna does not want is her son having ideals of taking his own life, otherwise she'd have nothing left to live for.

Luna looks to Lincoln's sleeping form. She sees the black eye on him is slowly healing, but he still has his bandages on and they will heal, and same with the bruises.

The snow-haired boy holds onto Luna's hand and also hugs her tightly as to not ever let go. Luna thought this was the same way he would do when he would come to her room, after being scared from thunder, but that was long ago when he was so young and so adorable.

But even today she still sees him as her cute little kid that she knew and loved, and she still does.

Luna then strokes his hair, and she kisses his forehead. She then notices him stirring and he slowly opens his eyes, even though the other one is sore from the pain. He then looks to Luna and he sees the saddened smile on her face.

Lincoln whimpers and he cries into her shirt, and she tightens her hug and rocks him back and forth. "Shh, easy there Linc. I'm here now, it's all over and we're together again. Everything's gonna be alright, no one is gonna come and hurt you."

As Lincoln cries, she can tell that he stopped whispering that he isn't bad luck, which means he's slowly getting over it, but the pain and mental scars have been burnt into his head especially the sight of that dreaded squirrel suit too.

Luna just comfort her crying son, to make sure he doesn't lose his cool and turn into a mess that she can't clean up. "Don't worry now Linky. Everything's okay now, the nightmare is over and I'll always be here for you, always my child. I love you so much Linc."

She kisses his cheek and then his forehead, Lincoln stops crying and he looks to Luna, who then wipes away his tears. "We're gonna be fine now, everything is alright again. Don't' you cry now sweet child of mine." She places a kiss on one of his bruises.

Lincoln responds by kissing her cheek and hugging her again. "I love you mom, always."

The duo stay like this, until the day tells them they should leave and see what's going on.

(Later.)

After a few hours of tears and comfort, they ate their breakfast and got changed into their day clothes. Now Lincoln and Luna walk down the stairs, and of course Luna holds Lincoln's hand since he's still kinda hurt inside and scared to be separated again.

Harriet is seen in the living room and she turns off the TV when she sees Lincoln and Luna. "Hello you two, feeling alright?"

Lincoln nods. "Sorta… I'm trying to manage though, why did you turn off the TV?"

"Yeah, we were just gonna go and relax at the hammock in the backyard" replied Luna. "You can just go on and watch what you were watching."

Harriet sighs. "Kids, sit down please. We need to talk." Lincoln and Luna follow suite and they take a seat on the couch next to Harriet. "Well, I just wanted to say that… That I am sorry."

This confuses the two louds. "What do you mean you're sorry?" asked Luna.

"I'm saying this because if I hadn't been busy with the deceased family, then none of this madness would've happened and ever since the day you were kidnapped by Tetherby. I wish I could've done something, but I didn't because I was too caught up with those who passed away."

Lincoln and Luna can tell that this was eating up inside of the ghost, which is rare because they've never seen her like this. "Great Grandma Harriet, it's okay. We understand that you had something to…"

"No!" They remain silent and a bit startled from that. "Sorry, but I just… I need to tell you two why I wasn't around much."

Lincoln and Luna were wondering when she would finally tell her about what she's been doing. "Okay, what is it?"

"This." Harriet then places down a deed onto the table. "This is the deed, to the massive land that no one has claimed, this deed is to the family known as Willard, which is my last name and the last name of Albert, and I told him about this and he is okay with this agreement, to establish a new neighborhood within Royal Woods, on the eastern borders."

"This deed was lost and hasn't been found and that is why I was missing for a few weeks. I was speaking with deceased Willard family members who spoke to me about the missing deed and where it might've been and all this time it was in what was left of the Willard farm after the whole place had burnt down."

"They decided to let me have this contract and then pass it to Albert and so he can put it to good use, and so we made a plan and I was hoping for Michelle to know about this."

Lincoln and Luna look to the deed, but then they were confused by what Harriet said. "Wait, why would Michelle be involved in this?" asked Lincoln.

Harriet then looks to them with a smile. "To commence the place of Michelle, so she can be able to teleport the Lewis Estate to this location, for a place for all of us to stay and be safe."

Hearing this surprises Lincoln and Luna. They did not see this coming, and Harriet just smiles at their reactions. "We have a lot to discuss and this is the land." She shows them the map of the large land, and she got help from the allied outpost to let her see what the land looks like from the space satellites.

Now they see the large land that the Willard's own, which is now what Pop-pop owns. "Dude, this is… This is huge! This is gonna be the new neighborhood?" asked Luna.

Harriet nods. "Indeed, the Royal Dawn is the name. The plan was forgotten ever since we lost the Willard's who lived there from a fire caused by an enemy, and now that the deed has been found and that Albert presented it to Mayor Davis. They will soon begin to construct and establish homes there."

"Royal Dawn is supposed to be a good community, for folks who wanna start a family and have a better life than the ones they have been through. Kinda like a place where the hardships of the past can be comforted by those who understand and that was Royal Dawn is for, a good neighborhood."

Lincoln looks to the deed and then to the picture of the large land. Then he looks to Harriet. "But… There's no such thing as a good or even a nice neighborhood."

Harriet nods. "I know, but we can try, right?"

Hearing that, was enough to make Lincoln and Luna smile and agree that perhaps they can be able to make this plan work, but they'll need to wait for Michelle and Delilah to come and see this. This can't be a full proof plan without them.

But while they're busy talking in the house, they don't notice the mailman walk by after placing their mail in the mailbox, but it's only one letter.

The letter in the mailbox is from the Lewis family Estate from California, and from Edgar Lewis and marked in red. Almost like…. Like something has happened, to a very old family member.
