Sam, the Matchmaker a story by Martins-gurl

Martin wrapped his arms around Sam and held her close under the sky that was the color of motor oil. "I love you." he whispered into her ear.
They were getting married in a few days which was good because Sam was pregnant. She wasn't one of those women that thought she had to be married to have a baby but it would be nice. And please her mom.
A few stars suddenly appeared and Sam tried to remember back to her high school astronomy class. The constellations were so hard to find, the big dipper was the only one that really stuck out.
"I've been thinking," Sam said as she suddenly spotted Orion's belt. "Danny and my friend Kasey would be really good together."
"You want to set them up?" Martin asked.
"Danny seems so lonely," Sam said. "I mean, I've got you, Jack's got his wife, Vivian's got her husband but who does Danny have?"
"Kasey's nice." Martin agreed. "I'll talk to Danny about it." Martin and Danny were really good friends, they talked about lots of things.

A few days later, at the wedding of Martin and the new Mrs Samantha Fitzgerald.
"Danny," Sam gestured to a pretty brown haired woman. "I'd like you to meet my friend Kasey!"
Danny extended his hand and Kasey took it. "Nice to meet you." Kasey said with a shy smile. "Samantha's told me so much about you."
Samantha smiled and left the two to talk. She spotted Jack, helping himself to some punch at the food table. She sashayed over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey Jack," she said softly.
Jack looked up and smiled at Sam. "Hey, congratulations." he said. "I'm so glad that you're happy." His eyes went down her body and landed on the bulge in her middle. "When's the baby due, again?"
"In a few months," Sam replied. "Where's Marie?"
"Over there." Jack waved his hand across the room where Marie stood chatting with Vivian. "Probably comparing notes on children. You should join them."
Samantha said she would but what she really wanted to do was see how Danny and Kasey were getting along. She snuck up behind them and listened in on their conversation.
"How long have you known Samantha?" Danny asked.
"A few years," Kasey replied. Danny looked pleased and grinned at her.
This, Sam decided, was going well!

When Samantha had her baby, a little girl that she named Arora Heather Fitzgerald, a few months later, Danny and Kasey were engaged to be married. They both knew that it was really fast but they loved each other.
Martin wandered into the hospital room and leaned over to coo at Arora who was laying in her little crib. "She's so tiny," Martin whispered. "And she looks just like you."
"She's got your nose though." Sam said.
"Danny and Kasey are going to come by later." Martin said and ran his finger over Arora's soft baby face. "I think they want to test drive ours to see if they want a baby of their own."
"Danny would make a great father." Sam decided.
"He would." Martin agreed.
And they both sat and watched as their little daughter slept. Content in the knowledge that they had made their best friend very happy.
