Sound of a Flute
Okami Amaterasu had just restored Ahgata Forest and was about to jump to another small island in its lake when she heard a noise. It was the sound of a flute, melancholy and familiar. She looked around when Issun tugged her ear and had her look up. On a branch, high up in a tree, a slender man was playing a flute. He wore a long sleeved pink shirt with to pompoms and a purple hakama. On his feet were red stilt sandals and on his head a tengu styled hat. After finishing his song, the man called, "Hark! The land, sky, and seas summon me here. Waka, the gods' gift to man, is here! Bonjour!" Waka whipped around and struck a pose before jumping off the branch. Before he touched the water he slowed down and the tengu wings flew out from behind him. The tiny orbs of light that had appeared when he landed faded away as he began to speak.
Waka spoke of approaching evil and how the sacred sword, Tsukiyomi, once wielded by Nagi, had been removed from its stand, letting the eight headed dragon free of its dormant state. He then challenged the sunlit wolf, asking if she or her companion know anything as the flute transforms into a beam katana. Soon the game begins as goddess and prophet begin a deadly dance. Mirror is brought up to counter sword as rosary beads whip through the air. The duo break apart and catch their breath. Waka mentions that Ammy isn't even close to being powerful as once was a century ago. He dodges Issun's and gives them a prophecy before gracefully bounding away. It's only after he's left that Ammy realizes she wants to hear the flute's familiar melody again.
