Hey lads and lassies! Thank you all for being back, and for the new readers and/or fans, welcome, welcome! It has been a while since I last released any stories of the sort and I decided to go towards a slightly new direction, while somewhat returning to the roots of my initial thoughts, being fanfic stories of the Nasuverse. I hope I will not be disappointing you all!

I am very open for suggestions of the fans and/or requests towards the early parts of my story, but I do have a general plan for things and how they would proceed, so do bear that in mind.

New York, Spring 2020. The beginning of what people refered to as the 'catastrophe-year' due to everything going on with the world at the moment. But, despite all thast, there was one person who had only one thing in his head...

"Sigh, another lame assignment..." Gilbert Chase, a 17 year old sophomore, complained all to himself as he packed up his books and his writing equipment into his backpack and put it up on his back before pushing the chair towards the table, daily routine for the end of a regular day in class as any other for almost a year now. As he walked towards the exit, he reached a handup to slightly scratch his head, his short but rough, blonde hair waving with the motion of his hand, and he let out another deep and lengthy sigh.

"Don't sigh like that, Gil, or else you will lose your soul" came the slightly tired voice from his teacher. "You know that boring yourself about it only makes it worse to finish it."

"Yes, Mrs. Guttner" Gilbert answered, but his voice betraying his complete and utter lack of enthusiasm in it. He was done for today, and the only thing he really missed was his bed at this moment.

"Alright, dismissed. And see you tomorrow." The Teacher spoke before she left the room, and Gil followed shortly after, sighing to himself yet again while he walked the hallway to the left, then took a right turn to get down the stairs to ground floor so he could pass by the exit.

Said exit of the school's main building lead right towards the street with a straight, broad path that was beautifully decorated with trees, which looked specially admirable during the current early-summer weather they were having, on both sides, each side having a wide field behind it where most students on break sat down to study together or have a snack. Once he was off the school-premise, he took a turn to the left and while doing so, he reached down with his right hand, grabbing at a small teddy, barely big enough to fit into one hand, he had attached to his jeans' belt-strap with a chain, ruffling it gently before moving his hand back into his jackets pocket to concentrate on his walk back home. His span of attention was suddenly broken when he felt a sharp tug to his right, followed by the sound of metal snapping. Glancing down, he saw his teddy was gone, and as he turned around, he saw why.

"Missing something, kiddo?" A rowdy, cocky voice asked, belonging to someone Gil only knew as Toby, who was a notorious bully at the school he joined at to study. Toby was a tall man, black hair that spiked upwards along his hair, accompanied by equally dark-brown eyes and thick brows. He was also quite well build, wearing just a black shirt with short sleeves which showed off his arms and shoulder-width.

Toby mockingly waved the teddy around as Gilbert was trying to reach for it, only to then be roughly pushed back by a rough shove, landing on his butt with an audible thud.

"Damnit, give it back!" Gilbert said before getting up to reach for it again, but as he took a step closer, Toby decided to turn to his right and toss the teddy right towards the street. "NO!" Gilbert cried, running after it without a second thought.

The Teddy had a speciall importance to Gilbert. It was the last present he received from his mother before she succumbed to her illness, it was a constant reminder to him that, even if dead, she was always there. To Gilbert, this teddy meant the world and then some, and he would go any length to keep it with himself.

And this would prove to be his undoing.

As Gilbert leapt over the safety rail separating the sidewalk from the street, he leapt up to catch the teddy mid-air, but in doing so, he couldn't turn around and stop himself as a bus approached him, driving at its permitted maximum speed for the road. Gilbert gasped to himself, and before he could voice anything, a scream, a loud breath, anything, the hit came.

"SHIT!" Toby cried as he ran for it, not wanting to be caught up in this, forgetting that, due to school being over, many students were there to witness what happened and why. Toby could get away with a lot of things due to his rich parents, but manslaughter was not one of them.

Gilbert meanwhile was laid on his stomach, the pain so high that he dare nod even breathe properly, his vision blurring and darkening by the second. His last thoughts going to what he held in his left hand, his teddy.

"Sorry, ma..." he thought to himself as darkness consumed him, and he died.

GIlbert's eyes suddenly shot up as his feeling changed, out of nowhere. He suddenly didn't feel the pain anymore, the many broken bones, the blood that was all over his exposed skin. He looked down to himself, checking himself franically, thinking it was just a bad dream. However, when he glanced up, he saw that his surroundings, all of them, were entirely white and cloud-like. It was as if he was...

"Sitting in heaven?" An elderly voice asked out of nowhere, and Gilbert turned his focus to where the voice came from, which was from right in front of him. There, out of nowhere, sat a somewhat elderly-looking man who, admittedly, had some very well-kept, long hair, which traveled down his shoulders and back. He wore nothing than a white robe that covered him entirely from neck to feet, wide sleeves on his arms which hung low against his knees. The easily most outstanding visual feature of his was that he had three necklaces on his neck, each attached to one letter in silver colour, being a G, an O and a D. "Sorry, but you aren't dreaming, nor hallucinating. I guarantee you, all this is very much real."

"Who...are you? Where am I? Why am I here? I DIED!" Gilbert said, each question raising his voice until he shouted the last two out. "I DIED! How the hell am I suddenly fine? Am I actually in heaven? What the fuck!?"

"I will answer your questions not in order, as otherwise it will make things a bit more sudden than they already are." The person answered before he got up and waved at Gilbert. "Follow me. We will take a stroll as we talk."

Gilbert was about to object, but then he saw the necklaces again and properly read the letters before he scoffed, almost as if insulted, shooting up to his legs and raising his arms defensively. "No fucking way. I died, and now, God wants to tell me how things are while taking me for a stroll... yeah no, this is a bad dream... I must be in the hospital bed on some really strong shit to lower the pain." He said, more trying to convince himself than anything else.

"See? Told you it is sudden. But no... you very much died." The person, being God, said as he waved his hand and suddenly, a small screen appeared before the two, showing the scene of the accident from an outside view. "The Bus hit you straight to your chest, breaking all of your ribs, three of which punctured your lungs, causing internal bleeds and injuries which killed you within the minute."

Hearing this, Gilbert let out a loud and long sigh and sat back down, knees pulled to his chest. "Fuck..." He whispered to himself, laying his forehead against his knees.

"You don't seem as surprised as you seem... frustrated." God observed, waving his hand again which had the screen disappear.

"Of course I am frustrated! You got any idea how fucking SHIT all this is?!" Gilbert suddenly roared out in anger as he got up again."You DAMNED BASTARD first had to give me an absolute SHIT life, then you let me die before I had ANY chances to make something out of it! How the FUCK am I supposed to be surprised at this point?!"

"Not at all, but that's not why I am here." God then responded, being not even the tiniest bit unphased by Gilbert's outrage. "Yes, your life was very difficult, and try as it may, I cannot influence human nature, so I couldn't help you then. I can't help anyone. But... your death was not planned. You were supposed to keep living for at least a few decades."

"So what?" Gilbert spoke with mock in his voice. "You really wanna look me in the eye and say 'I, God, The Omnipotent, Absolute being, MADE A FUCKING ACCIDENT AND YOU DIED AS A RESULT'!?"

"No." God answered. "I was going to say something more towards the lines of 'The Devil decided to be a pain in the ass again, so I am here to negociate a new life for you'. How's that sound?"

"Yeah right... Satan decided to, out of all the 7. something billion people, that killing me would annoy you. You get how ridiculously random that sounds, right?"

"I do. But, that is besides the point. Why you were the victim, or why not someone else was, is besides the point." God then spoke and snapped his finger, causing a table with two cups to appear, both let out slight, but visible steam, indicating something warm to drink. "Sit and have some strawberry-tea while I tell you what I can do for your second life."

Gilbert narrowed his eyes before he sat down. "So you serious about that?"

"Oh yeah. You were wronged on a celestial scale. It is only fair you receive reparations of equal magnitude." God reasoned before he chugged the whole tea down in one go, something that made Gilbert shiver from looking. Once God was done, he set the cup down. "Since you are a, in human terms, Avid Weeb, I decided to offer you a new life along something of your choice within that direction. More specifically, give you the opportunity to live in that world."

Gilbert narrowed his eyes further, almost dangerously as he listened. Being called a Weeb always rubbed him the wrong way. Sure, he was just a bit obsessed with Anime, but he didn't go nearly as far as one would think. He doesn't actively try to pretend he can understand the culture, he doesn't cosplay, go to cons or any of that. He just sits a few hours a day before his laptop and binges something. Nothing wrong with that, he thought.

"Nothing wrong, indeed." God responded.

"Could you stop reading my thoughts?"

"I am Omniscient, Gil. I don't read your thoughts, I just know at all times."

"Still, it's invasive and creepy. Stop it."

"Fine, fine..." God relented before leaning a bit forward. "Here's the deal: Pick your two favorite Animes. From one, the world, and from other, the Powers. You will get sent to that world, with the powers and all your memories intact as well as knowledge on your powers and where they come from and how to use them."

"That's..." Gilbert spoke before sipping from his tea, then continued. "That sounds really damn generic and broken as fuck ontop" Gilbert answered before he reached his hands up in a i-don't-believe-it fashion. "Oh fuck, God is a Fanfic Author."

God, upon hearing that, just burst into laughing and reached into his sleeve, whipping out a small book. "Matter of fact, I am. But given that you were awfully wronged after already having a difficult life, I wanted you to enjoy things with easy access. Of course, things won't be THAT easy. You will be strong, but not invincible, and you will still age and die like anybody else. You can still get tired and everything, so you are still encouraged to keep yourself in good health."

"So what, you decided to swat two flies at once and wanna make some Isekai-story with me in it then write it off as compensation for an untimely demise done by the devil. That sounds pretty damn Lame."

"How awfully self-aware you are. Well, that should help make things interesting, no? The fact you know you're part of a story you will know pretty much everything about that can be known. It gives you the ability to live however you want. Hero, villain, peasant, king of the world. You do you. I just want my book."

"Tch" Gilbert clicked his tongue before he crossed his arms. "You are one foxy bastard, you know?"

"Hey, every Author needs his creative freedom. So, which world and which powers is it going to be?"

Gilbert placed his hands on the table in order to begin thinking about it deeply, contemplating just what his options were, how good/bad they could turn out to be, what gave him the most/least opportunities, and where he could hope for the best life. He took a good minute to think, sipping the tea a few times throughout the time he took himself to weight out his options. Once he was done, he emptied his tea and glanced up again. "The world of 'Fairy Tail', with the Abilities of ALL the Servants from the Nasuverse, the world of the Fate/ Series."

"Oho, a fan-favorite." God mused as he then clapped his hands together. "Deal. Where in the world of Fairy Tail should I drop you?"

"Good question..." Gilbert asked himself before he stroked his chin slightly, sinking into thought again. "It would be a bit too typical if I were to associate with Fairy Tail, so maybe close to another guild. One that could use the spotlight. How about... Mermaid Heel."

"You do know that's an all-women guild, right?"

"Just do it, God." Gilbert sweatdropped in slight impatience before he closed his eyes.

"Alright, that's your choice. Enjoy yourself." God said before he clapped his hands again.

Gil immediately felt the change in the atmosphere. He could feel wind, he could feel the air enter and exit his lungs. He could feel sunbeams on his skin, the warmth washing over him. However, he felt no solid ground beneath him. As he opened his eyes, he quickly found out that he should have been more careful with his choice of words, because God did decide to drop him off... Literally.

"Oh Motherf-"

Before he could finish that word, he crashed into the ceiling of a large building, drilling through the solid material and landing straight onto ground-floor. Once he came to a Halt, he groaned out from the feeling he had. "Shit, that one hurt. But at least it didn't kill me again, so what the hell" he commented to himself before slowly getting up. The second he did, he suddenly felt a tense atmosphere around him, and when he lifted his eyes to look around, he saw why.

Several women had their weapons drawn and their magic at display, ready to engage any second. One of the ones he recognized was Kagura Mikazuchi, who had her sword, Archenemy, drawn and at the ready.

"Oh shit." Gilbert cursed to himself before slowly raising his hands. "Uh, sorry about the crash... I meant no harm... I didn't intend to drop THIS close to Mermaid Heel."

However, the atmosphere remained tense. Kagura was the first to break the silence. "Who are you and why are you here?"

Gilbert wasn't dumb enough to pick a fight seconds after he just got here, so he decided to be a good boy and answer. "I am Gilbert, and I am here to move into the city." He half-lied, because he obviously can't say he is here because God played him. His plan was to drop NEAR them, not RIGHT ONTOP of them. So he had to improvise... not like he had a plan on how to engage this in the first place.

"How and why did you drop like this?" Kagura continued, her defensive hostility still present.

"Well, the details are a bit blurry to me, too. Hit my head and all. But, long story short, I jumped, I miscalculated, and made a mess." He continued to lie. "Sorry about that... I could offer reparations? What's this going to cost me?"

"A lot." Came a new voice and Kagura turned her gaze to where it came from. There, behind her just a few steps away, stood a slightly older woman with lengthy, silvery hair which grew around her head like a mane, wildly spiked and spread into all outward directions. She had a feminine figure, shown off by her choice of clothes, being just some hotpants and a skintight, white shirt below an unbuttoned, black leather-jacket. Her eyes were yellow and very sharp, her iris shaped as a slit. "The damage you did goes into the upper 200'000 jewels."

"Master." Kagura greeted before she inched closer with her sword towards Gilbert. "I have reason to believe he is lying."

"Hey, thats ru-" The Blonde complained but was quickly shut up by a threatening glare from the Gravity-mage.

"He doesn't seem too sincere or apologetic, and I can feel a very high amount of magical power from him. He is extremely dangerous."

"Oh yes..." The Woman, identified as the Guild Master, spoke. "He is strong."

"Strong enough to wipe you all, but I choose surrender in peace instead because I DO mean my apology." Gilbert spoke, which was close to being a lie too, given it wasn't even his fault, unless bad wording can be faulted.

"You dare underestimate my Guild?" The Woman said before she showed her teeth. "Alright then... You will fight Kagura in a duel. If you win, you will be made to pay the reparations and that will be the end of it. If you lose, you will make the repairs by hand all by yourself and fund the materials out of your own pocket."

"Fine" Gilbert responded before he turned to his thoughts. "Well... this could have gone WAY worse. A guy intruding into an all-women guild by dropping in from the ceiling. Good thing I didn't fall into the bathhouse, assuming they have one. Boy, THAT would have been a catastrophe. However..." He pondered within himself. "I can't show off too much too soon... the goal is to be part of them, not to destroy them and the town. I gotta limit myself and get out of this mess..."

"To the Backyard. Battle will commence there." The Guild Master ordered before she walked towards the direction, with the members escorting Gibert with them, closely guarding him with their defences still up and on alert.

After just 2 minutes of footwalk through the building, they got to a very roomy field behind the building, a small river flowing through it to connect the waterworks at the sides of the Guildhouse, a bridge built over it to connect the halves. The field easily gave enough room to hold an entire battle royale, and it had some neat deco here and there, which could double down as terrain for training.

Gilbert then felt himself being pushed at his back, responding with stepping forward. "Hey, not so rough, still hurts from the fall."

"Silence." Kagura spoke before she walked towards her side of the field and Gilbert went to the opposing one, facing her. Kagura drew Archenemy without its sheat and took her offensive stance.

Gilbert meanwhile thought about how to best approach this fight. "He did say I would have knowledge over how to use them all... so I just have to will it, I guess. If not, I am screwed." Gil thought to himself and closed his eyes to concentrate. And sure enough, he felt something behind him, something that caught everyone's eye. A golden, circular ripple appeared above Gilbert's right shoulder and the hilt of a Nodachi stuck out, a hilt which he grabbed onto before pulling it out completely. Then, the Ripple closed itself. "Gotta get used to this feeling first, this took way too much attention to do. This should be a good training exercise to get into it..." He then told himself.

"So you are a Requip mage?" Kagura questioned before she took one step forward without losing her stance.

"Not really, no. Thought this was similar, it wasn't Requip." Gilbert responded before he took his own stance, the Nodachi on his right side right besides his head, the blade pointing upwards and the tip pointed towards Kagura. "I let my mouth run, so I kinda have to overdo it to put my money where it is. Sorry about this..." "Let's see if I can do it before she wipes the floor with me" he thought right after his response.

After Gilbert said his, a silence engulfed the field, both combatants standing at the ready, awaiting the starting signal, which would be delivered by the Guild Master. She rose her hand high up in the air, then waved it down. "BEGIN!"

"Secret Technique:" Gilbert then spoke, preparing himself in order to use Sasaki's Ability against Kagura.

Kagura suddenly felt the chill of danger run up her spine and all her alarm bells rang as loud as they could within her, alerting her that something dangerous was about to happen. She quickly lifted her blade up to form a Guard.

"Swallow Reversal!" Gilbert then finished and swung forward.

Kagura could only react so fast to the oncoming attack, trying to block it as well as she could, but that wouldn't work, not with this technique. Within the fracture of a second, three strikes came at Kagura in perfect symmetry, allowing her no escape at all, and she could only block two at most by extending her blade diagonally to the direction, wherein one strike would still hit. When that fleeting moment, that blink of an eye passed, Gilbert stood behind her, sword struck out, blade still pointing upwards. Then, a second later, a cut gushed open across Kagura's abdomen and she fell to ground.

"Oh FUCK." Gilbert cursed to himself as he glanced back, trying not to appear surprised on the outside. "Yo, I knew this was powerful but MAN, She had NO DAMN CHANCE. What the fuck, and here I thought I'd be a thorough noob and she would go Mark Fuhrman on my ass."

The other members of Mermaid Heel quickly rushed towards her. "KAGURA!" Arana shouted in worry, the first to arrive.

"The wound is not fatal..." Gilbert then commented. "But you should still have it looked at. That one will give an ugly scar."

"You." The Guild Master then addressed the Blonde, who turned to face her. "What kind of technique was that? I did not feel a shred of magic in it, and yet you performed three attacks in a perfectly simultaneous moment, something that shouldn't be possible through physical means alone."

Kagura, while wounded, was still perfectly conscious and was listening intently to the conversation.

"Ah fuck" Gilbert cursed to himself. "I have to lie some more... I can't tell them the true nature of this, of any of this..." "I can't tell you the details of it, because quite frankly, I don't understand it fully myself." Gilbert lied, again. "But this technique was originally devised to cut a swallow mid-flight."

"Cut a Swallow... mid-flight?" Kagura asked as she tried to get up, only to be urged to remain laid down by her fellow guildmates.

"Indeed. Althought not that fast, Swallow are extremely agile, so agile that some people came to believe they can cut corners mid-flight. Cutting one seemed to be the ultimate challenge. Turns out, I ended up devising this technique 'by accident', if you will." Gilbert finished. Oh, how he hated lying, let alone as much as this, but what else could he currently do? Until he has a stable place in this world, he has to be reasonably sensical about things. "I am starting to regret this, to be honest" he said to himself.

"I understand" the Guild Master responded before she turned to Kagura, then back to Gilbert. "You said you wanted to speak to me. What about?"

"Well..." Gilbert trailed off before he rubbed his head slightly in nervosity. "I was going to ask to join your guild-"

"Absolutely not"

"Thought so" Gilbert responded, not at all surprised. "But I did want to work for you one way or another. I mean..." He turned towards Kagura again. "Not to brag, but I did flatten your strongest member without trying AND in a single attack... You could use the power, if nothing else."

The Guild Master looked him sternly into the eyes, as if analyzing his very soul and personality, her gaze sharp enough to cut just with a glance. After a moment of silence, which felt like an Eternity, she breathed in deeply, then exhaled. "I can make an exception..."

"MASTER!?" Nearly Everyone shrieked at the same time.

"However, you do have to pass an assignment I will give you."

"Of course. How typical. She's going to give me some seemingly impossible quest and I will end up doing it in, what, half an episode? How Clichee, But then again, I AM inside an Anime World..." Gilbert thought to himself as he waited for the Guild Master of Mermaid Heel to tell him about the assignment. "Sure, what do you want me to do?"

The Guild Master just grinned before she spoke up. "Become one of the 4 Gods of Ishgal."

Gilbert's eye twitched slightly as he sighed inwarldy. "Cunning bitch. She gave me the one thing I can't do right away. Becoming a Wizard Saint in and off itself means I have to basically show my balls in full might to the Council with how I'd have to flaunt and show off my power..." Once he finished his thought, he sighed out again and shrugged. "Sure. I just need to know the direction towards Era. And... I gotta ask, what year do we have?"

The Guild Master just heavily sweatdropped at his question. "Are you dumb or something?"

"I am not from around here." He said, restraining himself from cursing in her face.

"Ah, a Foreigner." The Guild Master then commented before nodding. "Certainly does make sense. Very well..." She continued before turning towards her left. "Era is to the West of here. Takes roughly 8 hours by Train."

"To the West, 8 hours train..." Gilbert thought out loud before he perked up. "We wouldn't happen to be at Peace Village, right?"

"That we are. Mermaid Heel has Re-located here a few months ago." The Guild Master then added before crossing her arms and turning back to Gilbert. "As for the Year, it is X791"

"...huh?" Gilbert thought to himself before he blinked a few times. "X791?" He asked again, the lack of belief written all over his face. "Oh fuck..."

"Yeah. Why?"

"Nothing important. Just..." Gilbert lied before ruffling his hair in frustration. "Ho. Ly. SHIT. It's that goddamn year Fairy Tail makes a return with Future Rogue and all the crap... oh shit oh fuck, I should have definetly told God in which year to drop me off... that one is entirely on me."

"Something the matter?" The Guild Master asked before she walked past him to check on Kagura, who by now was back on her feet, thought clenching her abdomen from leftover pain.

"Just one thing... when are the Grand Magic Games happening?"

"In one Month."

"Oh... Oh shit." He cursed out loud before he then put his left fist into his right hand as an idea came to him. "Hey, Kagura. Don't ask me how I know but would you like me to tell you where Jellal is?"

Kagura's reaction was immediate. Her Hatred and disgust spiked and she covered her mouth, beginning to hyperventilate slightly. Millianna, who so far had remained in the background, emerged at Kagura's side and helped her up again while glancing at Gilbert. "What do you know!? How do you know we are searching for him!?"

"As I said, don't ask how I know, but I don't much like the guy either, just not enough to want his head" Gilbert lied through his teeth once more. "But you want his head. Let me participate in the Grand Magic Games as one of your members and I will tell you where you can find him, as he WILL be present there next month."

"Why...?" Kagura asked, trying not to get more angry than she already was. "Why would you want to help me like this?"

"I am not. I am simply negociating the terms it takes for me to join." The Blonde confessed with a slight lack of spite, almost as if there was no emotion when he spoke. "You will find out that I know quite a damn lot about a few people which will be of use to you and your colleagues. I am ready to offer that and more for the simple exchange of being allowed to call you all my Comrades."

"Damnit..." The Guild Master cursed as she turned to Kagura. "Now I can't say no because if I do, she will run off with you to get to him... Damnit, FINE!"

"Phew... there's that... a stable footing to set down. But I still need a living space and some cash, not to mention..." He said and turned to the Guild Hall, seeing the hole in the rooftop from here due to some of the wood from the structural frame having broken and arched upwards. "I suppose I should get to fixing that hole. But first, I'd like to go on a few quests. I need some money for the materials."

"WHAT!?" The Guild Master then shouted. "You mean to tell me you said you'd pay but you are dead broke?"

Gilbert just stuck his tongue out and scratched the back of his head. "Sorry about that. But, for all it is worth, I will be back within the day. If not, I forfeit 75% of all my Quest Earnings for an entire year."

The Guild Master seemed to grumble about that while making a scoff, then waved at him. "Get going, If you are not back by sunset, I will personally make sure you are keeping your word."

"Thanks. One last thing, thought." Gilbert said before he looked at his clothes, seeing he still had the uniform from the day on himself, with his teddy attached to his right side's belt-strap on his pants. "I need the Guild Logo on me. A temporary stamp on the hand will do before I get something more permanent on a new set of clothes."

"Alright. Araña!" The Guild Master spoke loudly, causing the yellow-haired woman to appear as called. "Get him the Guild Stamp and show him where he can find the Quest Board."

"Understood, Master" She said, her attitude a bit more serious than her usual demeanor, which would be a laid back and slightly flirtatious behaviour. She waved at Gilbert to follow her inside.

The moment the two were out of sight, The Guild Master turned to Kagura. "Something doesn't add up."

"I know" Kagura answered with confirmation and a nod to follow. "Every now and then, I got this really strong feeling he was lying. He is hiding something, or his intentions have ulterior motives."

"But he is really strong, and currently no threat." The Master then added. "His reaction to the Year is what gives me most thought. It is as if he is dreading something."

"Or that he forgot about something. One way or another, he knows something..." Kagura then concluded.

"We will play along for now. In due time, we will figure him out. We have already determined he is a bad liar."

"But..." Kagura then interjected. "He knows of Jellal, and I felt nothing malicious when he said he'd tell me his whereabouts. He was honest in that regard."

"And for you, that is satisfactory for the time being, isn't it?" Millianna commented, the first from the others to break the barrier and join the discussion.

"If he can bring me to the one who killed Simon, I can forgive his other transgressions." She answered, her voice having returned to one of calm and determination.

Araña had meanwhile lead Gilbert inside and towards one of the few desks inside the large hall, which mostly looked more like a Bar than anything else. She went behind the barcounter and got a Stamp out. Gilbert in turn reached his left hand out and had the Mermaid Heel Logo stamped on the back of it with a perfect fit.

"Well, this concludes the first part. You are now officially the first man in history to join Mermaid Heel." She said, her voice already audibly more lax than before. "But don't get too comfortable. Given we are an all-womens guild, we have nothing for the men in the building, so you will have to shower and find bathrooms elsewhere."

"That is alright." Gilbert spoke before turning around to take a good look of the whole place before he spotted the Quest Board hanging to the left behind the entrance of the Building. Since the Gates were only halfway opened and not fully laid against the walls, the Board was still perfectly visible, but if someone stood at the entrance, they wouldn't see it as a result. He marched towards it and took one quick glance at it, counting the number of quests on it. They neatly sorted the Quests based on its difficulty, so the D ranks were pinned the lowest and S rank and + at the highest corner of the Board. He counted a total of 39 quests, which was a LOT, and took 13 of them, 4 being S-class. "I will take all of these."

"WHAT!?" Araña said in shock before she ran closer towards him. "But, that's 4 S class, 6 A Class and 3 B class quests. No way are you getting ALL of them done in just a few hours! Getting to one location alone takes Hours by foot, and none of the S Class are connected to Trains-"

"Calm down. I need to really prove myself so I will do this. If I fail, it's my grave I am digging. I will see you before sunset."

With these words, Gilbert ran out of the Guild Hall and towards the village before disappearing from view shortly after.

"oh man..." Araña said to herself, seeing as no one else was around. "He either is really stupid and just got his own death sentence, or he is an absolute monster with whom we can't compete. Either way, this can't possibly end well."

And this would be it for the Pilot Chapter! I hope you have enjoyed the writing so far, and if you did (or did not), leave an R&R so I can improve my work for future chapters!

Cheers, friends and readers, and I will see you very soon with a new chapter!
