Harry Potter: The Draconium Adventure

If one was to ask what Harry Potter expected to be doing after his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when he returned to the Muggle World the last thing people would hear him say was to be outside flying on his broom stick while in full view of a twelve ton flightless draconium dragon with relatives of his father on an island of talking locomotives and rolling stock and learning more about his parents and his dad's relatives.
Currently Harry Potter was flying on his Nimbus 2000 while getting some fresh air around the Island of Sodor and he wasn't alone. He was joined by two more people both of whom happened to be two of the cousins on his father's side of the family. One of whom was also flying on another Nimbus 2000 while the other was riding upon the twelve-ton flightless draconium dragon.
"So, would you care to explain why you're all here?" Harry asked to the two females with him. The female in question had bright orange hair with green and red highlights, emerald green eyes, and wore a set of jeans and a tank top and an Orange Jacket with the Logo of the Sodor Steamworks on the back. This was of course Carol Carlin, a Soon to be fourth year Gryffindor Student and one of Harry Potter's cousins on his Father's side of the family.
"Well cousin Harry," The Female student known as Carol Carlin said, "We're here to help tie up some loose ends and to help you get up to speed. I mean you didn't have enough time to fully explore the new home of Sodor."
"You mean the Island of talking trains that the Carlin Residence is located on? The one that you've been telling me about since you brought me and my sisters to live with you?" Harry asked.
"That's right," said another female around Carol's age with blue eyes and raven black hair, "Basically we've got much to do and so little time to do it. By the way I'm Verity Potter, soon to be fourth year Gryffindor and daughter of your father's younger sister not to mention I'm on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team as Chaser but I also serve as the reserve seeker."
"I know who you are already why are you introducing yourself to me again?" Harry asked his cousin.
"Just making sure that you remember me and Cousin Carol Carlin," said Verity. "Your younger twin sisters have gotten along well and they've inherited your dad's talent for flying and your mother's looks and eyes. Regardless the two seem to have different personalities."
"But I care about them all the same," said Harry, "Until you and your cousin showed up Abigail, Daisy, and I were the only family we had left. Well if you count the McGowan family but they weren't family by blood."
"I'm not surprised you didn't mention the Dursleys but then again considering that you mentioned the McGowan family it's good to see that they've been keeping an eye on you and you've made good friends with them," said Carol.
Harry knew what Carol had meant for the McGowan family lived right next door from the Dursleys on Privet Drive and served as neighbors. What he didn't know at the time until the Carlin Family came to get him was that the McGowan family were wizards and witches and they'd all gone to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Still the McGowan family had been the only thing that kept the Dursleys from making the first ten years a complete and utter nightmare for him and his younger sisters for the McGowan patriarch had given them hope that one of their father's relatives would be arriving to take them away from the Dursleys when the time came and make them pay for all the abuse they suffered which they did and in a very public humiliating fashion to add.
"I can only guess by the look on your face that the McGowan family had been taking good care of you guys until mom and us could come get you and your sisters," said Verity as they continued traveling before they found themselves in Knapford. "Oh, here we are. I'm sure you don't need an introduction but welcome to the Potter's House on the Island of Sodor."
Harry remembered how nice it felt for him and his sisters to finally move out from the Dursleys and in with their cousin Carol Carlin, Cousin Verity Potter and Carol's mother, Christina Payson Carlin nee Potter, James Potter's Older Sister and Carol's father, Perry and the fact that he and his sisters finally were allowed to have their very first true birthday party on the Island of Sodor was one of the happiest memories of their lives.
"Anyway, we'd best get going," said Carol, "We have a lot to do and so little time to do it. Fortunately, we managed to finish our summer homework to allow this time to explore."
"Not to mention that we're gonna take you to meet some friends of ours," Verity said, "After all you deserve it considering it was our combined efforts that helped Gryffindor House win all three cups this year."
Verity was referring to the House Cup, the Quidditch Cup and the Dragon Racing Cup and due to solid performances by herself and Carol on the Quidditch Pitch and Dragon Racing Track respectively two of the three cups were in the hands of Gryffindor but thanks to last minute heroics by their cousin Harry Potter and his friends and fellow Gryffindors, Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom and their friend from Spinner's End, they were able to turn the tables and win the House Cup and break Slytherin's Winning Streak.
Carol of course was pleased that this helped solidify her friendship and that of Verity's friendship with Lee Jordan, Fred and George Weasley of Gryffindor, Isaac Scamander and Hector Abbot of Hufflepuff, and Stephanie LeClerc, Rain Lovegood and Christian Lestrange of Ravenclaw but she was worried that this could've costed her and Verity the friendship they had built up with Camille Eris Cooper, Lester Malfoy, and Edward Davis of Slytherin House but fortunately the three were somewhat forgiving.
"So, after traveling around here so far what do you think?" Carol asked.
"This place feels like home," said Harry, "And I still remember the time you two invited me and the Weasleys over to spend Christmas with you guys."
"Yep we figured it was the least we could do considering Carol's mom and dad became your legal and magical guardians," Verity spoke up, "And the best part is that they were able to do it right under Dumbledore's nose."
"Just imagine if we found out about this much later like say your third, fourth or fifth year?" Carol added, "I'm not sure we'd be able to repair the damage."
Harry had to agree on that before Verity spoke up again.
"On the note of years Harry what did you think of your first year at Hogwarts?" the Gryffindor Chaser asked. "You and your friends have done more stuff in the first year than what Carol and myself have done in the first three."
"Even if three of your friends are muggleborns and two of the three are from Spinner's End and one of the Spinner's end kids is a Slytherin," said the Gryffindor Dragon Racer, "Not that we have a problem with that. Some of our closest friends are from Slytherin house."
"I know that," the Gryffindor Seeker said, "You're close to one of them and it's the reason why you have access to the Slytherin Dungeons and why your friend has access to Gryffindor Tower."
"Then you should also know why it's the same reason why Miss Hanson has access to Gryffindor Tower and why Miss Simpson has access to the Slytherin Dungeons respectively," Carol spoke.
"You sounded a lot like Professor McGonagall just now Carol," said Harry.
"Oh dear you're right," said Carol.
"Speaking of Professor McGonagall what's she doing at the moment?" asked Harry.
"My guess is that she's occupied with a staff meeting by now," Carol replied, "And speaking of which mom says that according to the board of Governors we're due to get a new History of Magic Professor. I don't know about you but Professor Binns sucks."
"After three years cousin you're just figuring that out?" Verity remarked, "At least he's good for one thing. Helping people deal with insomnia but his replacement is supposed to be brilliant in magical and muggle history."
"How do you know this?" Harry asked.
"We have our ways," Carol said leaving it at that and as if on cue three owls one of whom was a snow white owl named Hedwig came flying in with a letter in hand. "Harry is that Hedwig?"
"Yes it is," said Harry as Hedwig handed the letter to Carol, "But the letter is addressed to you."
"Let's see what it says," Carol said opening the letter up and reading it. "It's from Professor McGonagall. She's at Milano Manor having a word with Professor Milano about my Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson involving a boggart."
"I remember that," Verity said, "That's the lesson where Professor Milano had a look of concern as soon as she saw what forms some of our Boggarts took."
"Boggart?" Harry asked.
"Oh that's right you don't cover that and Dark Creatures until Third Year," said Carol, "You only cover Jinxes in First year and Hexes in Second year. At least that's the way Professor Milano does it."
"She is a much better teacher than Quirrell was," said Harry, "I'm surprised she was immune to the position. Hagrid said that the Defense Job had been jinxed."
"We know and nobody's been able to hold the position for more than one school year," said Verity, "Well almost nobody anyway. Only Professor Milano has been able to hold the position for more than one school year."
"You think it's due to the fact that she wants to protect Camille, Tracey and Lily?" said Carol. "I mean the three of them are cousins and their mothers are all sisters and they in turn are Professor Milano's daughters which would make them her granddaughters."
"When you put it like that it sounds like she cares about her family," Harry said, "Then again Daisy Abby and I were all that we had left of a loving family until you two and Verity came into our lives to bring us here."
"But we didn't do that alone," said Verity, "We had a bit of help to get you three here But I'll tell you about that later. For now let's get back to the Carlin Residence. Electra should be back delivering our letters by now and bringing some guests over as we speak. Margaret Perkins is gonna have our heads if we don't bring her back in one piece."
Harry agreed as the three headed to the Carlin Residence in order to rest up and catch up with Harry's two sisters Daisy and Abigail.
