'What was going on?'
Yaoyorozu Momo thought of herself as a perceptive young woman - her intelligence she knew was not just a key support to her quirk, Creation, but was also a major part of how she acted as a hero-in-training. Devising strategies on how to defeat not only her opponents but also safeguard her allies and the innocent citizens that would be caught up in a villain attack or disaster was what she excelled in and had helped her earn her recommendation to U.A. High School. An important facet of any battle strategy - or she thought really any situation - was having keen awareness of what was going on around oneself and analyzing the situation to formulate one's plan for victory. This was of course easier said than done on the battlefield (by no means did she consider herself perfect - just well prepared) but in Class 1-A's homeroom she found considerably less obstruction.
She was able to from the corner of her eyes or the slightest shift in her vision notice details about her fellow classmates. It was how she was able to tell which students, such as Kaminari and Ashido were less than interested in Aizawa-sensei's current lecture on the principles of collateral damage risks by the bored looking postures they held in their seats. Aoyama was somewhat vain from her observation of him taking out a small mirror from his desk to check his hair every so often when their teacher's gaze was shifted toward the blackboard. Jiro was half-listening, half-writing a song in her head by the way her fingers tapped rhythmically on her desk. Mineta sitting infront of Momo kept trying to take a selfie of her secretly with his phone but everytime he tried she would shift her position ever so slightly so that she would be out of line of sight using the...balls...on his head
It was also how she knew something was deeply troubling Izuku Midoriya for the last two days since they had started classes together.
'Be it granted Midoriya appears to be somewhat quiet and shy there is something going on with him.' Momo did not have any difficulty noticing the green-haired boy's behavior given that he sat well within her field of vision two desks in front of her. 'There is certainly a pattern going on…'.
Always at the beginning and end of each period she noticed that Midoriya's posture in his seat had so far always changed dramatically. He would sink lower in his seat, his hands gripping the sides of his desk and his face flicking back and forth toward the door as if he expected it to burst off its hinges at any moment. When whatever he was worried about did not come to pass she always noticed relief in his green eyes. It was interesting to Momo. The only plausible scenario she could think of was that he was expecting someone to show up to their classes, but who she had no idea. At the moment at least he seemed to be relaxed and she noted studiously taking notes calmly.
*KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK*
All of Class 1-A's eyes shifted toward the door, except Aizawa's who only looked at the clock and grunted with an annoyed tone. Infront of Momo she saw Midoriya's posture immediately collapse into the distressed form she had noted before half an hour early than she had anticipated.
Aizawa sighed and spoke, "They are early but we might as well start now. Today as part of your Foundational Skills of Heroics lesson we will be having a guest speaker. They will be discussing the principles of teamwork."
While he had been speaking Aizawa had nonchalantly climbed into his sleeping bag like an extremely irate caterpillar. Before he zipped up his cocoon he called out toward the door, "Come in."
'He did not even say who was speaking…' Momo cringed but any question as to who it was that had come to speak to her class was answered in moments as the door opened...and two men wearing black suits entered. One was of average build but had the thickest lower eye lashes she had ever seen on anyone. The other was a larger man with a scowl on his face that was only make worse by the prominent shape of his chin. Off to the side she heard Sero blow out the air from his lungs in a short laugh at the sight of the second's man chin...considering its shape made it seem like he had not one but two chins on his face. He somewhat reminded her of an ape.
"Nononono…" Momo heard Midoriya mutter ahead of her, she looked at him and by the shocked gape of his mouth she deduced that he recognized the two men, but who they were and how they were connected to her classmate was still a mystery.
'Actually...those suits look familiar.'
The two men took up positions to either side of Aizawa's desk and stood with their postures rigidly straight and their hands behind their back. Class 1-A stared at them.
"BEHOLD! Your guest speaker for today!" Double-Chin barked out harshly, making several of Class 1-A jump up in their seats.
"The Pro Hero whose power is that of a storm!" Eyelashes followed up closely behind his compatriot before they both took a deep breath and shouted their next words together.
"THE PSYCHOKINESIS HERO: MISS BLIZZARD!"
Momo's eyes widened by several measures, she recognized that name all too well! 'Of course! That's where I recognize those suits from...they are the trademark attire of the Blizzard Hero Agency!
No sooner had the two men finished their announcement a woman that Momo, if she was not being too generous, -idolized- walked into Class 1-A's homeroom: Kazama Fubuki.
The woman was tall and slim, wearing a dark green dress underneath a large white fur coat that hung loosely over her shoulders. She was certainly stunningly good looking even Momo could not ignore that (though she did ignore the sudden cries of joy from Mineta, Kaminari, and Seto) but what was even greater than that was the aura of cold allure that seemed to sweep across the room as she entered. Her walk, no, her strut was of the utmost confidence by the way she held herself. Her gaze was uninterested as she swept into the room, as if she had dismissed them all immediately in her mind, and when she took her position standing behind Aizawa's table her frigid demeanor did not alter at all - without any effort she had waltzed right in and seized command of the entire classroom.
Also, her hair and eyes were green.
Momo blinked. She looked to Midoriya who was on the verge of turning into a tomato based on the flush she could see creeping into his face.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed that Todoroki and Iida seemed to notice something as well.
Before she could think of what that observation could have meant Miss Blizzard had already begun to speak.
"No hero can keep the peace across our country by themselves. If that was the case then NONE of you would be here. We would have left everything to All Might." Miss Blizzard's voice was harsh as she seemed to go on the attack with her first words, "We all work together toward keeping the peace be it a team of two or two dozen. If you forget that you WILL not only get others but yourselves hurt or worse, killed."
Miss Blizzard paused as she spoke, for a moment Momo thought she was doing so to let her words seep into them all but then a bright green aura bloomed into life surrounding her body.
'Her quirk! Psychokineses! It is a high level emitter type. It allows her to manipulate matter with her mind! Create strong barriers or move...objects...around her…' Momo's train of thought ground to a halt as she saw the same bright green aura totally surround Midoriya, his desk and chair and before she knew it all three had suddenly jolted upward into the air and zipped to the front of the classroom. Calmly, Eyelashes stepped aside as Midoriya floated down next to Aizawa's table, facing back toward his classmates. Momo knew that her classmate was shy so she understood immediately as he became the focus of the utterly dumbfounded stares of his entire class (Momo's included) he sunk further into his seat and completed his transformation into a human tomato.
With Midoriya extricated from his space she could see that her much more explosive classmate Bakugo had frozen up - a VERY noticeably uncharacteristic action for the explosion quirk-user. If she squinted she could make out sweat had begun to form on the back of his neck.
'What was going on?' Momo asked herself as Miss Blizzard continued to speak as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred.
"I have been informed that you have already had Battle Trials. You should all think back to the teams you were paired up with and against. While it may have just been two versus two you will find yourselves more often than not working in much larger groups of heroes…" Miss Blizzard continued but as she did so she lifted her left hand up and, again as if nothing out of the ordinary was occurring at all, placed it on top of Midoriya's head and slowly began to ruffle and then groom his hair. It was very similar to how Momo's own grandmother had done to her when she was younger and they would enjoy peaceful afternoons on her family's beachfront property in Okinawa. Infront of her Mineta was crying and grinding his teeth together, a small fist slowly shaking in Midoriya's direction out of pure jealousy.
'WHAT WAS GOING ON?' Momo was at a loss for words but the deafening silence of her thoughts allowed her to hear something very odd behind her. The wind was getting louder and louder outside of their class' window, causing the window's frame to begin to shake with increasing ferocity. It was almost as if a wind tunnel was being directly blasted at it. She was not the only one to hear it as Todoroki himself had begun to turn around just as she was. All along the corners of the wall cracks had erupted surrounding the window frame - each crack was glowing with a very familiar green light.
"Which is why you...must consider…" Miss Blizzard's voice trailed off as she noticed what was going on, the entire wall had begun to not only shake but shift backward- being PULLED away from the building itself. Her hand was still on Midoriya's head now - her classmate seemed to recognize what was happening and had covered his face with both of his hands.
Miss Blizzard scowled, "...dammit she found out I was coming here today."
No sooner had those words left the Pro Hero's mouth the wall ripped out of the entire school structure and dropped downward but as it did so a figure wrapped in green light hovered upward onto the newly made ledge.
At first glance the new arrival looked to be about the age of the students or even younger given her adolescent looking face - and was extremely short. Similar to Miss Blizzard the new arrival wore a form fitting dark green dress that almost appeared to be black and while her aura seemed to overflow with an intense sense of superiority it was not coldly professional like Miss Blizzard, it was just arrogant and dismissive of them all without even a moment's consideration of who they were.
Her curly hair and eyes were also green.
She was also holding a bento box.
"No way!" Kirishima gaped, "It's the Tornado of Terror!"
Officially, Kazama Tatsumaki's hero name was just Tornado - but the #10 ranking hero in all of Japan was much more popularly known by the name Kirishima had uttered with awe - and dread. Her quirk was much like her sister Fubuki's but she simply referred to it as telekinesis. Whereas Miss Blizzard's use of her quirk was as elegant as a razor storm of daggers, Tornado's was as forceful as an axe - the size of a mountain. While Miss Blizzard's quirk was noted to cause property damage the level of destruction the Tornado caused most often saw her heroics confined to missions that required entire buildings or swarms of villains or even natural disasters such as floods or landslides completely leveled.
Tornado said nothing, she just stared at her sister for a moment, her face held a look of dismissal...then her eyes shifted to Midoriya. Without a word green energy bloomed into life again - this time encompassing not only Momo but each and every one of her fellow classmates and their desks. Tornado flicked her hand and they were all jolted and pushed to the side roughly - a clear pathway having formed to the front of the desk. Her black heels clicked loudly across the floor as she advanced to the front of the classroom, Miss Blizzard's subordinates looked ready to step in front of Tornado's way but their boss motioned quickly for them to step aside - which they seemed to do gladily.
Tornado stopped in front of Aizawa's desk and, as if nothing out of the ordinary was occurring, proceeded to not only place the bento box on Midoriya's desk but place her own hand on Midoriya's green hair - though rather than pat it Tornado outright grabbed a handful of it.
"Tatsumaki...you are interrupting my lecture." Miss Blizzard spoke first, returning her sister's scowl.
"Haaah? What could you possibly have to say that would be useful?" Tornado scoffed, she sounded like a petulant child, "Teaching them how to butter up sponsors to throw money at them isn't a useful hero skill."
"What? It IS important to gain financial and networking support. How would you expect heroes with high technical support gear to save anyone if their tools break down? Or if their headquarters is in a building with no lights because they could not pay-" Miss Blizzard paused and shook her head, her cold demeanor turning hot the more she spoke. "No, I was teaching them the importance of teamwork dynam-"
"Pffft." Tornado shook her head and blew a raspberry at her younger sister, "If they are strong enough they don't need a team. If they aren't then they should stick to something simple like rescuing a cat from a tree or helping an old lady cross the street."
Momo had no siblings but if she did this was how she expected a brother or sister fight to go.
She looked away from the two sisters and noticed Bakugo's posture had very uncharisterly matched that of Midoriya's. He had slumped down at his desk with his arms covering his face he appeared to be doing his best to not be noticed. The explosive-hand-and-headed student had a look of utter -fear- on his face.
'Was Bakugo...afraid of the Psychic Sisters?' Momo thought silently before the argument drew her attention back toward it.
"WE had an agreement. An agreement. Which YOU broke!" Tornado growled at her sister, poking her sister rather harshly in her chest - a sight that Momo noted with no small amount of disdain seemed to have invigorated Mineta, Kaminari, and Sero by the way the peverted grins on their faces. Well, Kaminari's lasted only a few moments before it shifted to shock and pain after a quick strike from Jiro's earjacks.
"I broke nothing!" Blizzard smacked her sister's hand away and stood up straight, "We agreed on no -personal- visits. I was -invited- to speak in all of the First-Year Hero Course classes. If anything you being here-"
"Nnnnnnh!" Tornado interrupted Miss Blizzard and stuck her tongue out, "I know YOU were the one to call the school and arranged your little lectures here! I am here on a mission. Onee-chan asked that I drop off Izuka's lunch which he forgot."
"LIAR!" Miss Blizzard grounded her teeth, "Onee-chan told ME that-that the Hero Course students have a lunch stipend. Izu-chan did not forget his lunch!"
"Grrrr!" "Grrr!"
The two sisters had begun to just growl at one another and she noticed with no small amount of sympathy that they had both begun to tug Midoriya's head between one another - the green haired classmate still had his hands to his face but she could tell he was wincing with her tug.
'Wait. Who was this Onee-chan they were referring to? Weren't they only sisters? Irregardless, I need to distract them before poor Midoriya is ripped in half.' Momo looked over to Iida and Aizawa surprised that neither of them had acted to bring peace back to the classroom. To her chagrin Aizawa appeared to be fast asleep by the way his sleeping bag was slumped and the stupefied look on Iida's face told her that perhaps he was caught in a feedback loop of helping Midoriya versus interrupting a (temporary) teacher.
"Um...excuse me." Momo raised her hand to get the two Pro Heros' attention. Unfortunately for her they just switched the anger filled glares they had been leveling at one another at her with enough force that even she thought for a moment she would burst into flames.
"Don't interrupt us!" "Shut your mouth!"
"A-aunty F-fubuki…! Aun-aunty Tatsumaki! P-please don-don't yell at Yaoyorozu! Please!" Midoriya peeked out from underneath his hands and ever so slowly slipped out of both of their grips with a flick of his head, looking at the two green-haired women. His eyes were pleading but it was certainly the most firm or self-willed act he had taken since the arrival of the Psychic Sisters. For reasons that seemed to slip around Momo's analytical mindset she felt a soft blush in her cheeks at Midoriya's act on her behalf.
Both sisters looked away from her and down at the boy. Their response was immediate.
"Ohhh Izu-chan I'm s-so sorry for raising my voice! I-it was very unbecoming of me!" a deep, panicked frown appeared on Miss Blizzard's face - she looked as if Midoriya had just stabbed her in the heart - small tears welled up in the corner of her eyes. She leaned down and gave the boy a hug, rubbing her head into his green mop. "Please forgive me!"
"Hmph. Fine. Sorry. I apologize." Tornado crossed her arms over her chest, her words short and not all that apologetic but she seemed to have bowed to his wish. She continued to pout slightly as she turned around and her eyes wandered over the classroom…
...and landed on Bakugo.
She stared at him.
Bakugo stared back at her through his normal scowl transformed into a grimace of abject terror.
Green psychic energy erupted from Tatsumaki like a, well, raging tornado. Everyone and everything in the room was pushed back several feet as the outpour of her quirk's power. Several of her classmates fell out of their chairs and onto one another.
Except for Bakugo whose desk and chair was pulled -closer- to the now furious looking Pro Hero.
"YOU!"
"Shitshitshitshit!" Bakugo gasped out as he was flung forward.
"The pint-sized, loud mouth, idiotic bully with his head so far up his ass-" Tornado most likely would have proceeded on her torrent of downright nasty insults had the green glow of her quirk not suddenly dissipated ending the torrent of power and dropping Bakugo and his desk back onto the floor with a loud crash.
"And that class is an example of why communication and trust between your team members is important." Aizawa stood up from his sleeping bag, his eyes a glow with the power of his erasure-quirk, nullifying Tornado's powers completely.
"Baggy-Eyes!" Tornado turned to Aizawa, her cheeks puffed out with indignity, then proceeded to stomp her way over to their teacher and kick him in the shins, "Release my quirk! I can't believe that U.A. let him in to the Heroic Course!"
"I stand the line at UNINVITED Pro Heroes using their quirks on my students. That is my job." Aizawa rubbed his forehead, his head must be splitting with a migraine, and deactivated his quirk. "Leave. Now."
"You-"
"Leave. Now. Or I will call Principal Nezu."
At that Tornado stopped, her face dropping into one of panic for only a moment before she huffed and kicked Aizawa one more time before walking back over to her sister...and apparent nephew.
"You! Don't think this is over!" Tornado stabbed a finger at Miss Blizzard, and then turned to Midoriya, "You! Good work on growing a spine but don't think you can talk back to me either!"
Tornado proceeded to pat her nephew's head in a way one would congratulate a dog for doing a trick correctly before she turned and stomped over to the window-hole, her quirk's green power returning before she floated outside.
"And fix this mess!" Aizawa shouted after her to which Tornado groaned again, very much like a petulant child. The section of the wall Tornado did tear out however appeared from below and slotted itself back into the wall though the hundreds of cracks from where it had been sheared off remained and the classroom was still in a state of disorder.
With Tornado gone, Bakugo slowly raised his head from where it had hit his desk and sent a silent glare at Midoriya -
-before a levitated pencil struck his desk and forced its way into the wood causing Bakugo to look panic stricken at Miss Blizzard. The psychokinese hero glared at him until he looked away.
"Ahem." Miss Blizzard coughed into her hand before her quirk power activated and covered the room. In no time Class 1-A's appearance was restored as students and their furniture, even knocked over pencil cases and bags, were righted back into their original position before the arrival of Tornado - even Midoriya was returned to his place ahead of Mineta - the green haired classmate was half collapsed on his desk but alive. Momo did not doubt there would be many, many questions for him at lunch period.
"Now then. As I was saying…"
