Hi, everyone! I hope you all enjoy this story as much as I did while writing it. Please feel free to review, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Let's start with the story, shall we?*
Chapter 30
Mizuki hummed in deep thought as she finished dressing up. After having a good night's rest, she woke up and started to prepare for the day. She needed to make sure that she was perfectly dressed for the occasion. She went to sit down on her bed to put on her shoes and briefly stopped.
She was going on a date. Her very first date. It was thrilling. She didn't know what on earth possessed her to ask Eijiro out on a date. It was a spontaneous decision that she made within her bravery of three seconds.
She groaned and let her face fall onto her hands, cheeks flushing. She didn't know how this entire thing worked. Dating? Liking someone? It was completely new for her. She had never found herself in situations like this.
It's okay, Mizuki. You're strong. You could hold your ground against a killer Nomu for a while. You can do this! Mizuki told herself and nodded. She slipped onto her pair of pumps, the heels small enough to still fit comfortably
She glanced at herself in the mirror and smirked. She wore a white top that came out in 'v'-form at the top, giving enough for the imagination but not enough for the eyes. Over the white top, she wore a black jacket that neatly fitted her figure, the sleeves reaching her elbows.
She wore a black skirt that gracefully fell over her curved hips and reached above her knees. The pattern consisted of white roses. To finish off her look, she wore a silver bracelet around her one arm, two black grenades hanging next to each other.
Mizuki heard her phone vibrate and glanced at the screen, smiling faintly. Akira and Rinako each sent her a text to wish her good luck with the date. They also threatened and told her to give them all the details later. Mizuki chuckled and was about to put her phone away before it went off again.
"Mizuki-san! Enjoy today! I hope that you and Kirishima-kun have a lovely time!" – GravityGirl
"Show that boy that you're worth every while! Remember, I'm your biggest supporter!" – AcidRain
"Enjoy your time, Mizuki-chan." – Tsu-chan
How did they get my number?! Mizuki thought in shock as she read the messages the girls sent to her. She knew that she didn't give out her number to any of them. She received one final message and knew exactly who was the culprit.
"I'm rooting for you, Mi-chan!" - BestBoyIzukun
That little-! Mizuki was about to curse at him but found herself laughing. She shook her head. He must've been bullied by them to give her number to her. After all, he knew what would happen if he gave her number away without her consent. Not that she minded. On the contrary, she was happy about the messages of encouragement.
Mizuki grabbed her small handbag, relieved that she prepacked it the night before, and put in her phone while checking the time. She then walked out of her room and closed the door behind her. She stood still for a few moments before daring to peek into her brother's room.
Katsuki still lay fast asleep on his bed, a peaceful facial expression as his body was sprawled out on his bed. She bit her bottom lip to keep herself from snickering at the slight drool that fell from the side of his mouth. By the way he was sleeping, she was sure that he was going to be out until noon.
She then continued downstairs, making sure not to walk too hard to wake up her brother. His anger tantrums were worse than normal, exhausting him out more than necessary. It was so strange how innocent he looked in his sleep when he always scowled.
"Mizuki? Is that you?" Mitsuki came walking out of the kitchen, her crimson eyes widening at her daughter's appearance. She smiled and nearly teared up. "You look breath-taking! I can see who your father's daughter is," she said and Mizuki chuckled.
"I got all my mother's looks, though," Mizuki pointed out and Mitsuki rolled her eyes playfully. "Where is Dad anyway? I thought that I'd see him reading newspaper…?" She asked as her mother lifted a tray with two cups of coffee.
"He's in the study room. There's a new project that the company is working on. He's been there since early this morning," Mitsuki said and watched her daughter's eye twitch. "I'll tell him you said bye, don't worry. Besides, if you saw what he was busy with, you'll completely forget your date."
Mizuki blushed at her mother's words. The older woman knew exactly what was going to happen. It happened many times before and if the two designers started, the entire world was switched off. There was nothing that could stop them.
"Then, I'll be heading out! Love you!" Mizuki called and waved towards her mother. Mitsuki watched as her daughter ran out, a big grin plastered on her features. The older woman let out a breath and walked towards the study room without another word.
Train Station. 9:55am
Wah… I'm so nervous! Eijiro thought as he swallowed thickly, walking towards the station where Mizuki said she would meet him. He barely slept the previous night and did a lot of browsing for things to do.
He pressed his lips together as he looked down at his phone. He didn't find the courage to send her a text. He still hadn't contacted her. Her contact number was on his phone, saved and ready to call at giving moment that he would need to.
Come on, Eijiro. You've got this! You're got to man up and make this the best date ever! He motivated himself, looking up at the sky as he made a fist. His ultimate goal was making today one of the best and get one step closer to ask her out.
He continued to walk on in his red boots, his black pants comfortably hanging from his legs and a chain hanging from one of the pockets. His chest was covered in a black t-shirt, a red checked shirt fitting over it.
He glanced at his watch, swallowing thickly when he saw it was time. He arrived at the station and glanced around, his eyes scanning the people standing around. His red eyes looked for ash blonde spiky hair.
He grinned when he caught sight of Mizuki. "Hey, Mizuki!" He called, waving as he walked over towards her. The said female turned to look at him, causing his breath to hitch in his throat and his heart to leap out from his chest.
Mizuki's too bright to look at! She looks even more amazing in casual clothing than I thought! Eijiro shouted in his mind and found his nervousness worsen. He was about to think that this entire thing was a bad idea until she gave her a warm smile, causing all doubts to fade away.
"You're just in time, Red. I was starting to think that you like to be fashionably late," Mizuki stated with a chuckle, her own heart beating faster than normal. He looked completely at ease in his casual clothing, his big and innocent eyes making her tensed shoulders relax.
He laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. "Y-Yeah, sorry about that! You look great, by the way! Not that you don't always look great. I mean your look greater! That is a word, right?" He grumbled on and Mizuki snickered, causing him to blush faintly.
"Yes, it's a word. You don't look to bad yourself," Mizuki complimented and Eijiro grinned. "Did you rest well? After all yesterday's matches, I'm sure you were tired." Eijiro blinked a few times and nodded.
"Well, somewhat." Mizuki gave him a blank look. "A-Anyway, you better be prepared for today! I have an entire date worked out perfectly! I'm going to blow you away!" He stated in a confident tone and Mizuki smirked.
"I look forward to what you have planned, Red. Let's hope that my expectations aren't too high," Mizuki teased him and EIjiro chuckled. He enjoyed the gleam of mischief that passed through her crimson orbs.
"Then, we better get started!" Eijiro grabbed onto her hand, Mizuki's eyes widening as he started to pull her along through the crowd. He held onto her tightly, the warmth of his hand making her cheeks tint.
"W-Wait! Where are we going?" Mizuki asked, dodging a few hands and people as they continued onwards. Eijiro glanced back at her, his grin widening with excitement, his sharp teeth showing and his eyes shining.
"You'll see when we get there!"
Mizuki found herself smiling at the male's excitement, her hand tightening in his hold. She didn't know why nor did she know if she was overthinking it. It just felt…right. For some odd reason, it made her feel complete.
They exited the station, the redhead's pace slowing down. They walked together through the streets, Eijiro watching as Mizuki looked around with a content expression. She was at ease, her hand not leaving his.
He thought that she would've taken away her hand long ago but her warm hand was still held in his. He never realized how warm her skin was until now. He was sure it was because of her Quirk and the way she could manipulate her body temperature.
"Mizuki." She looked up at him, his heart giving a flutter. "I want you to close your eyes." She gave him an unimpressed look. "I-I'm not going to do anything! I want to show you something!" He argued and Mizuki raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, but if I walk into a pole, I'm going to blow you up!" Mizuki threatened and he sweat dropped with a nod. She let out a breath and closed her eyes. Eijiro took a moment to admire her expression before he smiled.
He tugged her hand and she walked with him, her brows twitching slightly as she moved next to him. She trusted that he wouldn't let her fall and that her instincts wouldn't have her blowing up half of the pavement as a result. She felt vulnerable and uncertain but he eased her with his steady pace.
Eijiro took a breath as they nearly arrived at the designated place. He knew very little of what Mizuki liked. He knew that she loved designing, her favourite colour was definitely peach and that she admired the sunset every day. More than that, he didn't know.
This was the perfect chance to get to know her. He didn't ask anyone for their help and made this decision all on his own. He had to be a man. Mizuki confessed, kissed and asked him on a date. It was his turn.
He slowed his pace and grinned as he came to a stop. Mizuki stopped alongside him. Her brows furrowed and she frowned. She didn't know what was going on and it killed her that she couldn't see. She felt the heat of his hand vanish, her eyes shooting open.
"What are you-!" A hand covered her eyes, followed by a light laugh. "Red, if this isn't you covering my eyes. I will kill whoever this is in the most painful way possible," she threatened and heard a snicker.
"No need. It's me," he assured her and saw her cross her arms over her chest. "We're here. I'm going to take my hands off your eyes now, okay?" Mizuki was about to give a remark but the brightness reached her eyes as his hands vanished.
Mizuki's eyes widened. They stood at the entrance of a street market, the people buzzing all around them as they laughed. The street reached far into the city and had different types of stalls all over, the aroma of delicious food crossing her nose.
"Red, this is…"
"Surprise!" He exclaimed cheerfully and had his arms open to the sides. "I didn't know what type of things you would like so I thought, what if I brought you a bit of everything? I surprised you, didn't I?" Mizuki stared at him and smiled.
"You sure did. What makes you think that I like walking around loads of people, though?" Mizuki asked, the male struck by the lightning of realization. Mizuki then burst out laughing at his whitened expression. Eijiro pouted, not amused that she was laughing at his reaction.
"Well, are we going to stand here all day or are we going to explore?" Mizuki asked, putting her hands on her hips. She wasn't going to admit it loudly, but she was excited to walk through the street market. It was the place with the most inspiration and she always wanted to come to one.
"Let's go!"
She followed him, crimson eyes glancing around at the different products that was sold. There was a stall of only All Might plushies, making her briefly think of Izuku. Then there were a few stalls of clothing, her eyes brimming.
"You really like fashion, huh?" Eijiro spoke up next to her as she stopped at one of the stalls. He had a feeling that she would stop at one of them, knowing that her designing was an important part of her life.
"Yeah, my Dad if a Fashion Designer so I guess it's in the blood," Mizuki said as she walked around, eyes taking in the different patterns, colour schemes and clothing types. Eijiro followed behind her, red eyes gazing.
"Even if you say that, I don't think I can see Bakugou being a fashion designer," Eijiro said as he rubbed his cheek with a tensed smile. He imagined the male with a pair of glasses, only to have it be broken and then yelling followed.
Mizuki hummed as she took off one of the hats and placed it on her head, glancing in one of the mirror's. "You say that but my brother's quite stylish. He's always untidy with his school clothing. When it comes to other clothing, however, he always looks his best," she said.
Eijiro's eyes widened at the new information. He hadn't seen Katsuki in anything other than his school clothing. To have Mizuki tell him that he looked fashionable otherwise was something he found unexpected.
Mizuki turned the straw hat on her head, approving the maroon ribbon and flower on the top. She took it off, her hands traveling over the woven material in thought. She could tell that it was done by hand, her crimson eyes traveling towards the older woman that owned the stall.
"Hey, Mizuki. How do I look?" Mizuki glanced back at the redhead, her eyes nearly bulging. She snorted, her hand flying towards her mouth to keep herself from laughing as he continued to pose for her.
The cap on his head faced backwards, a pair of pink sunglasses on his eyes and a feathered scarf falling around his neck. He moved the glasses down his nose and then wiggled his eyebrows causing Mizuki to burst out laughing.
"What are you doing?! That's horrible!" She laughed, the male joining in her laughter. Mizuki shook her head and took of the cap, his hair bouncing back much to her surprise. She then took his glasses, replaced then with a slimmer, more dominant look and replaced the feathered scarf with a black and red buff.
"That's much better," Mizuki said and nodded proudly. She cocked her head to the side as she pursed her lips. He was missing something… She caught sight of a head band and grinned, wrapping it around his head.
"W-Whoa! Awesome!" Eijiro exclaimed as he looked at himself in the mirror. "I only did the other thing to be funny but you made me look super cool." Mizuki chuckled as she put back the straw hat, eyes gleaming brightly.
"That's my speciality, Red."
"You did that with our costumes too." Mizuki walked by his side as they left the stall, each giving the older lady a smile. "I was surprised that you drew all that in less than a day. I'm guessing your costume didn't nearly take that long," Eijiro said and Mizuki sighed.
"It took me a week." He blinked in surprise. "I starved myself for a week and nearly made my brother get an aneurism. I designed it perfectly, however, after everything that happened, I realized that it still needed much work," Mizuki replied.
"What about you? I get most of the thought behind the outfit. It has a real confident and hardcore appearance. Let me guess, your inspiration came from Crimson Riot?" Mizuki pointed out and Eijiro nodded.
"Yeah! It didn't take me that long to come up with it and it came out even better than I thought it would. The support company really are geniuses," he stated, Mizuki grunting in reply before their stomach growled simultaneously causing them both to blush.
"With everything smelling this delicious, it's difficult not to get hungry. Let's get something to eat," he said and Mizuki nodded. They continued on, a stall that barbequed meat and vegetable kebabs being their first stop.
"That looks delicious!"
Mizuki chuckled as she watched him practically drown in his own drool. He bought each of them one, handing it over to Mizuki. They each took a bite, flushing slightly at the delectable taste that filled their mouths.
"We also have a new special," the shopkeeper said and Mizuki saw how he held another pair of kebabs. "We're still trying out the recipe. It's our super hot beef and vegetable combo! Here, you can have one on the house."
"Super hot? That sounds more like my type of meat," Mizuki said as she smirked, her eyes brightening up. Eijiro watched as Mizuki took a bite her eyes sparkling at the taste. She nearly swallowed the rest in one breath.
"I'd like to try one too," Eijiro said and had Mizuki and the shopkeeper look at him with looks of disbelief. The shopkeeper was surprised that Mizuki ate it as fast as she did while Mizuki worried for the male.
"Red, you don't eat curry all that much, do you?" She asked him and he shook his head making her eyebrows twitch. "You better not do it then. I love hot stuff but if you eat it and you're not used to it... It's not going to turn out good."
"Come on, Mizuki! I'm sure that I can handle it! It won't be manly of me is I can't enjoy what you like!" He said and Mizuki felt her cheeks warm up. He was making it extremely difficult for her to deny him.
"Fine." His face lit up, nearly blinding her. Instead of squinting she turned to look away, taking a breath. "Sir, can we please get one more of your new special?" Mizuki asked, Eijiro grinning like a fool while the shopkeeper looked at her with uncertainty.
"Miss, are you sure?" Mizuki nodded, not daring to glance back, knowing that he was beaming. The shopkeeper reluctantly handed her one of the new specials after finishing up with it on the grill. He glanced at the redhead and swallowed thickly.
"Wow, it smells amazing! Thank you for the meal!" Eijiro exclaimed happily and took a bite out of the meat. Mizuki and the shopkeeper's eyes narrowed as they watched him closely, waiting for his reaction.
"This is really good. I don't understand what you were-" His entire face became red, steam coming from his ears as he coughed. "Water! Water!" He exclaimed, the shopkeeper handing him a glass of water as fast as possible.
"That's why I told you…" Mizuki said as she watched the male throw the water in his mouth with haste. She shook her head, an amused smirk coming onto her lips as she watched tears form in his eyes.
"H-How can you s-survive that?!"
"I like spicy food," Mizuki said with a shrug and pointed at the kebab as Eijiro breathed heavy, his mouth still on fire. "Are you going to finish with it or can I have it?" Eijiro have it to Mizuki in a flash, the ash blonde chuckling.
Mizuki hummed happily as she took it and walked away with a swing in her step. Eijiro paid the shopkeeper and waved at him, his head hung low. He couldn't believe it. He honestly thought he had enough guts to handle it.
Mizuki licked her lips as she finished up, enjoying the small victory she had against the redhead. He saw her happy expression and couldn't help but return it. He was beyond impressed that she liked something that hot and spicy.
"What's next?"
"How about, something sweet?" He said as he caught sight of a café not too far away from them. "We can have a bit of dessert after eating, right?" Mizuki blinked a few times before snickering with a laugh.
Mizuki was led into a mini cake café, the girls working there wore maid costumes and welcomed them with big smiles. Mizuki felt a bit unsettled, not a fan of maid café's but Eijiro was oblivious towards that fact.
"Welcome, with what can I help you?" The female standing behind the counter asked as she stood in front of the cash register. Eijiro bent down to look at the different types of small cakes and tarts in the display case.
"Do you see something good?" Mizuki asked as she came in next to him, also glancing around. There were a large variety and it made her brows twitch in agitation. How should you pick from this stuff? It was impossible.
"Can I get two of these, please?" Eijiro asked, Mizuki raising an eyebrow at the small rolls with cream on top. If all the cakes and delicacies to choose from, he chose the most plain looking one. He was quite a strange guy.
"Here you go, Mizuki," Eijiro said and handed her the small crusted roll. She took it with a small frown, red eyes sceptically looking it over. "It's a cinnamon vanilla roll with cream. Try it." he encouraged her and Mizuki pressed her lips in a straight line.
Three seconds of insane courage! Mizuki thought and closed her eyes as she took a bite out of the delicacy. Her eyes widened at the sweet taste, the cream complementing the sweetness and the crust crumbling on taste.
"It's…sweet."
Eijiro smiled with a nod, admiring the cute and surprised expression Mizuki had on her face. She can make a face like that too, huh? He thought as he finished up with his own cinnamon vanilla roll, licking his lips when he was done.
Mizuki ate the cinnamon roll with her cheeks lightly painted in pink. It was the first time she ate something like this. She was usually not a fan of cakes and sweets, only enjoying ice cream. Yet, it seemed like she found something new to like.
"Oh, you've got a bit of cream here," Eijiro said with a laugh and wiped away the cream that stuck on her cheek with his thumb. Mizuki watched him as he innocently ate the piece, her face flushing deep crimson while the girls in the café squealed.
"You liked it, didn't you? Next time, I'll take you to my favourite café!" Eijiro said, smiling widely until he felt a chill run down his spine. He paled when he saw sparks appear in Mizuki's hand palms, her temper flaring.
"Bastard, are trying to get back at me from the other day, huh?!" Mizuki asked, her face flushed in deep crimson from embarrassment. Despite the anger, she could feel her heart beat in her ears and clicked her tongue in irritancy.
"W-Wait!" The waitresses all trembled in fear of the girl as he moved closer to him, colour draining from his face. "Mizuki, wait! It's not like that! It just happened! I wasn't thinking!" He tried to calm her down.
"You've got balls to do get me back like that in the public. Prepare yourself, Kirishima-kun. Today, you die," Mizuki threatened, her eyes glowing red as steam came from her mouth. Eijiro swallowed thickly and waved his arms in front of him.
"W-Wait! Mizuki, I said wait! Wah!"
A few minutes later…
Eijiro let out a breath. He managed to escape Mizuki's wrath and the café was still intact with nothing blown to bits. He also came out unscathed but didn't know how long it was going to last with Mizuki's temper still brooding next to him.
"You…next time you do something like that…at least warn me first…" Mizuki murmured softly, averting her eyes away from him. Realization struck him hard as he found his blush covering his cheeks.
Mizuki was acting shy. It was a first and he could feel the stab in his heart as he took in her embarrassed composure. The girl who kissed him without hesitation and asked him out on a date was acting shy over what he did and he couldn't help but laugh.
"What's so funny? Want me to blow you up?"
"No, it's not like that. I was just thinking that you're actually very cute when you want to be." Sparks appeared over her body. "I-I mean you're so bold in everything you do but you get shy too, huh?" Eijiro said and Mizuki scoffed.
"Like hell I do."
Her tone was less snappy than usual and he found himself grinning. They walked on, Mizuki's behaviour only temporary until she found something she liked. She was quick to compliment the shopkeepers on their hard work and conversed freely.
It was a peculiar sight. This was the more relaxed side of Mizuki and she surprisingly got along with people. Her rough and bluntness seemed to have faded away. It made his heart warm at the sight. He was lucky to see this side of her.
Mizuki caught him staring at her and smiled. He raised an eyebrow at his deep thoughts when he didn't respond and wondered what he was thinking about. She thanked the shopkeeper and gave him back his clay pot.
There were sudden shouts that reached their ears, the two snapping around immediately. They gave each other a look before advancing towards the noise. It was alerting but there was something about the tone that made them wonder.
"YEAH! GO!"
They both stopped in front of an arcade, a large group of people standing and cheering in the building. They blinked a few times, glanced at each other and then laughed lightly. There was nothing to worry about.
"It's only an arcade. Man, I thought my heart was going to burst when I thought it was a possible villain attack," Eijiro spoke up and let out a breath he didn't know he kept. He could still feel his heart hammering in his chest.
Mizuki chuckled and crossed her arms over her chest. "I wonder what they're doing, though. I haven't seen this much excitement in an arcade before," she said, crimson eyes trying to figure out what was going on.
"It's a dancing competition. Everyone's trying to dethrone the winner, but no one has been able to do so since he has the perfect Quirk," one of the male spectators told the duo, his glasses shining as he pointed at the dancing machine.
"Hm? A perfect Quirk, huh?" Eijiro murmured and caught sight of the brown-haired male who grinned mockingly at everyone. He raised an eyebrow at his arrogant attitude. It was only a dancing game.
"Perfect Quirk? Something like that doesn't exist," Mizuki curtly stated, crossing her arms over her chest. Every Quirk had their flaws. The male heard her statement, his eyes roaming the group to find her.
"Who's next? Who wants to lose to the King of Dancing?" The brown-haired male mocked the group of people standing around him. Mizuki let out a sigh and turned around to leave, not having any time to spare. He caught sight of her and smirked.
"You, with the spiky ash blonde hair," he called out, Eijiro's eyes widening at his calling towards Mizuki. The girl stopped in her tracks and glanced around, watching as everyone's eyes stared her down.
"Why don't you try to beat me? You said it, right? A perfect Quirk doesn't exist. Let me show you just how perfect I can be!" He declared loudly, his laughter echoing throughout the entire arcade. Mizuki stared at him and then scoffed.
"What a load of crap," she said and turned around to walk away, Eijiro letting out a breath. It seemed like she calmed down completely. He expected her to beat him into a pulp but it would seem that his words didn't faze her.
"Oh? You don't want to? I guess this game must be too difficult for a girl like you," he said and Eijiro cursed. He just had to rub her in the wrong way. Whatever was going to happen now, was on himself.
Mizuki froze on the spot, veins palpitating out from underneath her skin. She could feel the heat from her anger surge through her body, sparks appearing all over her body. She was going to kill this bastard.
"Listen here, Shit for Brains." He made a face of offense. "I'm going to destroy both you and this game. When I'm done showing everyone that you're worthless, I'm going to kill you," Mizuki snarled at him, the male laughing her out and only making it worse.
"Mizuki, don't listen to him."
"Maybe you should listen to your boyfriend since he seems to know what your limits are," the brown-haired male mocked and this time pissed off the redhead. The people standing around started to murmured amongst themselves.
"You little-!"
Mizuki held out her hand, stopping Eijiro before he could do anything. Eijiro looked at Mizuki with confusion before turning blue at her expression. Mizuki stomped towards the male, sparks flickering all over her body.
"Hey, isn't that… That's Mizuki, right? You know, from the U.A. sports festival. She's the twin sister of that crazy guy, Bakugou. I saw their fight! They blew up the entire stage!" Some of them muttered, other exclaiming in shock.
"Ha, so you're from U.A, huh? Must think much of yourself," the male mocked once more as Mizuki stopped in front of the game. She gave him a cold look, the male feeling a shiver running down his spine.
"Red, hold my stuff. I'm going to murder him," Mizuki said, tossing him her handbag followed by her black jacket. Eijiro was quick to catch what was tossed towards him, red eyes worriedly looking at Mizuki.
"Are you ready to-""Shut up, scum," Mizuki cut him off as she cracked her knuckles. She stretched her limbs and rolled her shoulders. She was serious and by the way her eyes blazed, he knew that she was not planning on losing.
"You're that hardening guy, right?" Another male asked, Eijiro glancing at him and giving him a small smile. "You were really manly out there! I enjoyed watching your match!" Eijiro found the sudden wave of attention directed towards him.
"T-Thanks."
"Neh, neh, is she really your girlfriend?" A brown-haired girl asked, her friends standing with her as she asked. Eijiro suddenly felt very invaded, he held his arms up in front of him and before he could answer, there was an explosion.
He saw Mizuki stood on the machine, eyes not glancing back at him and her toned back towards him. The male next to her paled slightly, his eye twitching at the craziness of the girl next to him. She nearly blew up the machine.
"Are you ready?!" The machine asked, Mizuki's red eyes scanning the flickering below her feet on the arrows. She tapped the different arrows with her feet, getting the feeling of them and ignored the smug look she received from her side.
"Let's get dancing! Set? Go!"
The music started playing, everyone watching as the two started dancing and managed to press the arrows perfectly in time. The music started slow and then started to pick up, the combination becoming more complicated, causing the male to smirk.
Hamano Ennosuke
Quirk: Pattern Prediction
Eijiro stared at Mizuki, observing as she gracefully moved and gripped her jacket tighter. He didn't know how it was going to end up or how she was going to be able to win the male. All he knew was that he had enough faith in her.
The male next to Mizuki smirked as he moved in time with the predictions he read, easily getting the difficult positions and getting a perfect score. He was the King. He would never be dethroned by a U.A. girl.
An unconscious smirk came on Mizuki's face as the male next to her landed his move. She saw the arrows and twisted her body backwards, managing to press the arrows on both her feet and hands. She then twirled her body and landed the movement.
"W-Whoa! She completely landed that!"
"How is she that agile?!"
"U.A. students are amazing!"
Eijiro was also amazed at how flexible Mizuki was. Not only that but the way she danced, it was as if she was used to it. She smiled widely, droplets of sweat glistering as she moved freely. She looked so carefree.
Ennosuke growled. He couldn't believe it. There was no way that she was beating him! It was impossible! He was undefeated! He had the prefect Quirk! He was angry and flustered, causing some of his points missing.
"Finished! You rock!"
"Finished! Better luck next time!"
Mizuki breathed heavy, as she grinned at the screen, proud that she made a new high score and beat the male next to her. It was thrilling. She could feel her heart beating heavy in her chest, adrenaline pumping through her veins.
"Impossible! I can't lose!"
Mizuki scoffed and stepped off the platform. "If you can't even admit defeat, then what kind of King are you?" Mizuki bluntly stated, his eyes widening in a mix of anger and humiliation. He glared at her figure as she walked off, everyone cheering after her.
"You were amazing!"
"Neh, neh, can I have a picture with you?"
Mizuki stopped in front of Eijiro and turned towards the group. "Hey, buzz off. I'm on a date," Mizuki boldly stated and made everyone stare at her in astonishment. Eijiro's eyes widened, Mizuki taking her items and smiling at him.
"Want to get something to drink?" She asked, changing the subject. He stared at her and found himself a bit starstruck. She came, she won, she left. She even made a few bold statements along the way.
"Yeah, I'd like that," he said with a big grin and walked off. Mizuki was by his side, not sparing anyone else a glance. She did what she wanted to do and didn't need to give any of them any more attention.
Mizuki let out a satisfied sigh after taking a big gulp of the ice-cold water they bought at one of the stalls. The day was starting to come to an end, the sun slowly starting to paint the canvas of the sky in its familiar hues.
"You looked like you enjoyed dancing back there. You're really full of surprises, Mizuki!" Eijiro pointed out as Mizuki took another sip of her water. The male opened up his can of cooldrink, a smile still plastered on his face.
"When I was younger, my parents forced me and Katsuki to take a lot of different classes. We had music as a class for a while. I wanted to try something else and took up gymnastics for a few years along with a year of dancing," Mizuki informed him.
"Really?"
"Yeah, our parents wanted us to experience all different kinds of things for possible hobbies. I guess mine stuck with designing and Katsuki never really found one. I incorporated my gymnastics with my fighting to differ from my brother. We're already twins. I wanted my own uniqueness," she stated.
"That's cool, though. You had dance classes too, right? No wonder you were good back there. It reminded me of Ashido," Eijiro said and Mizuki raised an eyebrow as she sat back, glancing at his expression.
"Mina?"
"Oh, yeah. We were in the same Middle School and she absolutely loves dancing. She had a way to sort out conflict and put up a brave face too," Eijiro stated, his tone one of deep thought. He snapped out of his haze and sheepishly smiled.
"It's not like you and Midoriya though! We're only acquaintances, Ashido and I." Mizuki stared in front of her, facial expression content. "You and Midoriya have been friends since childhood, right?" He said and Mizuki grunted.
"Yeah, he's the only one of Katsuki's friends that I approved off. He didn't have any ill intentions and was a pure hearted little boy. He was always the same with everyone. He always gave a helping hand and never stopped dreaming of being a hero like All Might," Mizuki said with a soft smile.
"He and Katsuki were good friends at a time, before my brother got his Quirk. After that, everything went downhill. Izu-kun still treated him with kindness and compassion while Katsuki believed to be above him. Better than Quirkless Deku," Mizuki mocked her brother's tone.
"Ah, I remember something like that. You guys were completely surprised when he suddenly showed that he had a Quirk. What's up with that?" Eijiro asked, Mizuki briefly closing her eyes as she recalled the various of emotions.
"Who knows? He said it appeared suddenly, a late blooming Quirk." Mizuki then shrugged. "It only made things worse between the two since Izu-kun finally stands in the ring. Geez, those two give me too much trouble," she muttered bitterly and Eijiro snickered.
"But it's nice to still have a childhood best friend. All my friends went off to do their own things," Eijiro said and grinned, making a fist. "That's why I decided to make good comrades!" Mizuki hummed with a smile.
"I have two other friends as well. They're a bit on the crazy side though. They both went to Tokyo High to make their own dreams come true. I'll introduce you to them someday," Mizuki told him and he laughed.
"I'd like that!"
They sat on the small stair in silence as they watched the street market still continue, a few lights being switched on as the sun set. The atmosphere was calming and the two of them enjoyed merely being next to each other.
"Thanks for today, Red. I enjoyed it."
"Hah? What are you talking about? We're not done yet!" Eijiro exclaimed jumping up and Mizuki blinked in surprise. "I still have one place to go, but we're going to have to hurry. Will you still be able to go with those heels of yours? I mean, you did dance in them too."
Mizuki scoffed and stood up. "Don't underestimate me, Red. I'll run circles around you in these beauties," Mizuki stated confidently as she stood up. There was no way that she was going to have him think she would get herself beaten by a pair of shoes.
"Then, shall we go?"
His hand was held out towards her, Mizuki smirking as she put her hand in his. She didn't have any hesitation to do so and let him pull her along. Strange. She never thought she would like it to follow someone else other than her brother.
"I know that you'll probably give me a smartass answer, but, where are we going?" Mizuki asked the male as they were quick to exit the station where they met. She had no idea where he was taking her.
"To the place where you can enjoy the best view!"
Mizuki was even more confused, yet didn't let go of his hand. The more they continued, the more she started to recognize the area. They were nearing her home, and soon came to walk on her familiar jogging route.
"You always like to stare out and watch the sunset, right?" Eijiro asked, Mizuki surprised that he observed her that closely. "Well, I found that this is one of the best spots!" Mizuki stopped next to him and stared at the beach.
It was still quite far ahead of them, but they were high enough to see the painting of the sunset over the sky. She was speechless. He brought her to her favourite place to think without even knowing what he had done.
"Before I forget!" Eijiro fidgeted with his pocket as he searched for something. He pulled out a small, rectangular box and handed it to Mizuki. "Here's a little something I got for you," he said as the ash blonde took it by surprise.
"A present? That wasn't necessary at all!"
"Look inside," Eijiro urged her and Mizuki pressed her lips into a straight line. He went as far to get her something while she didn't even think of buying him a gift. She reluctantly opened the box, crimson eyes blinking.
It was a silver pen. It was plain and elegant and on the side of it were written. 'Good Luck'. She took it in her hand, looking it over with wide eyes. She looked up at him and he grinned widely, his expression dazzling.
"I know you want to become a hero but I also know that you wanted to become a designer. It's a little something to tell you not to give up on your other dream," he said. His eyes widened when he saw her smile warmly, cheeks flushing.
"It's perfect. Thank you."
Eijiro nodded, a light laugh escaping him as his chest warmed up. He was glad she liked it. Her expression was definitely more worth than the price he paid. He wanted to give her something personal, something that she would appreciate.
She was completely different than the others. She didn't wear jewellery, despite the bracelet he saw for the first time. He wanted something with impact, something that could motivate her and let her know that he was supporting her.
"Thank you for today, Red. You blew passed all my expectations," Mizuki said as he held the small box tenderly in her grasp. "Keep it up and I might just ask you on another date." She was teasing him, mocking him with her blazing red eyes and he loved it.
He laughed. "Not if I ask you first!" He countered and had Mizuki snicker in amusement. She was going to take up that challenge. A breeze brought them back to the present, nightfall coming quicker than they expected.
"It's already time, huh?"
"Don't be too sad. I'll see you at school the day after tomorrow. You better rest well for the internships that are ahead of us," Mizuki reminded him and he nodded. He was going to ace his internships.
"Oh, and one more thing." Eijiro was brought out of his thoughts when he felt Mizuki shift next to him. She stood on her toes and gave him a small peck on his cheek, his eyes widening. He could feel the tingling sensation, the heat that followed.
"Good Night, Red."
He watched as Mizuki walked off without sparing him a glance to see her tinted cheeks and warm smile. He felt his heart swell, his hand reaching to touch the warmth that she left on his cheek and smiled.
"Good Night, Mizuki."
