A chunk of Emma's description of Mab was taken from a quote form Harry Dresdan, just wanted to make it clear I wasn't plagerizing, just more or less agreeing with the man's interpretation of the Queen of Air and Darkness.

When her girlfriend had invited her to an afternoon out with her grandmother and Red at the art gallery, Sophia really didn't think anything of it, that was until she got a panicked phone call from Red demanding that they meet an hour early so things could be explained to her before it was too late.
As if that didn't sound ominous as hell.
So with survival instincts honed by months of prowling, hunting, and running set on high she did so, and while she would never admit it, she was very nervous. When Emma walked up to her as she loitered in front of the gallery she couldn't hide her surprise at the sight of the ginger's wide terrified eyes.
"Oh thank all the gods above and below you listened to me," she then proceeded to pull Sophia into a tight hug while crying, and which said hug she returned automatically; then felt consternated frustration as Emma broke her hold and seemed to just stand there doing nothing further confusing her on what the hell was going on here.
Taking in a deep breath, Emma was quiet for a time, finally after collecting herself she then spoke up in a quietly reserved tone, "Sophia...what do you know about the Tuatha Dé Danann?"
Sophia blinked, then shrugged, "What you and Spooky have told me really. They're ambivalent at best, malicious at default...why?"
Emma took in a deep breath, nodded slowly, then met her gaze evenly, "What do you know about Queen Mab?"
Sophia was honestly confused at this point as she shrugged, "Err...nothing, really? Spooky mentioned her being her loving grandma a few times but that was it."
Emma sighed, then shook her head slowly before responding, "I want you to think of ye olde fables about the Fae before Disney watered them down to the point they didn't give kids nightmares. Think of every fairytale villainess you've ever heard of. Think of the wicked witches, the evil queens, the mad enchantresses. Think of the alluring sirens, the hungry ogresses, the savage she-beasts. Think of them all and remember that somewhere, sometime, they've all been real. Then remember that Mab gave them lessons, and they were found wanting."
Sophia stared at Emma for a time as the weight of their situation hit home, "Oh... That Mab's her Nana...isn't she?"
Emma nodded slowly, then cringed as the temperature around them dropped to just below freezing, the pair turned around to see their girlfriend standing before them waving happily as a tall, imposing, ethereally beautiful woman walked up behind her and grasped her shoulders lightly.
"Figures that she'd show up early too. Look, don't thank her for anything, because that would cause a case of debt, not major, but it can add up and the Fae will always make sure they get their pay regardless. Follow the rules, and be paranoid about them to every extreme, Taylor will understand and approve. Be polite, be supportive of our girl, and don't ever meet Mab's gaze or you will literally be rendered into a jabbering mass of insanity."
Sophia for her part gulped lightly as Taylor rushed up to her and crushed her in a welcoming hug, despite her trepidation she couldn't help but return it, after a moment she muttered, "Heyya Spooky."
Taylor muttered, "Heyya Trip," in response, and automatically felt better after the fact.
Eventually Spooky broke her grasp and gestured to the woman beside her, "Oh! Right! This is my grandmother, Mab, Nana this is my friend Sophia, I call her Trip, and you already know Emes."
Leaning forward the pale beauty stared down at them for time, then smirked while nodding to herself, "She'll do. Now, you wanted to see those old manuscripts on display yes?"
Spooky, Red, and...Satan's minder all moved forward and Sophia couldn't help but letting out a breath of resignation, this was going to be her entire day, wasn't it?
All told though, while a bit boring Spooky's enthusiasm over all the old scrolls and books was honestly adorable; the fact that she had the option to run back to a terrifying mythological entity to confirm the 'professionals' findings was also rather endearing.
Sophia honestly thought the day would end on a high note, when a blonde guy wearing an orange ascot rushed forward and began violently shaking Spooky's hand.
Sophia was suddenly very alert, and quite unhappy when she heard Spooky's surprised yelp, and hadn't even realized that a knife formed from shadows was in her hand.
Unbeknownst to her, Queen Mab glanced at her with a raised brow, and smiled in approval.
