~Dear Readers

I am well aware it's nearly been a month since I went on hiatus and I feel as if I'm finally able to write properly again, so to commemorate my return, I will be uploading this new story I've been working on.

To say a few other things I will not be posting chapters every day, only on Fridays, that way I have ample time to write more chapters and there must be a minimum of five reviews before I upload new chapters.

On the note, thank you all for being patient, I know this is probably not what you wanted as there are other stories that I have yet to finish but I am currently not interested in writing on them so you'll just have to be satisfied with this one.

End Authors Note~

It was thirteen years ago, in a little unknown village to the south of Konohagakure, across the sea, on an island where this story begins, a young couple by the last name Haruno, moved in and were instantly inducted into the widely popular religion of the village, it was known as Jashinism.

Kizashi and Mebuki gladly integrated themselves into their new religion, did rituals alongside the other acolytes, sacrificed any fool, fool enough to try and invade their village, they did everything, until one day, Mebuki found out that she was pregnant.

What happened next neither Kizashi or Mebuki could have ever guessed because when they told their fellow Jashinists, they were instantly revered, the reason being, that a child being conceived after being inducted into their religion was extremely rare.

Because the rituals were hard on the body, so children were precious among the religion, the other Jashinists treated Mebuki with the utmost respect as they considered her pregnancy a gift from their God, Jashin, for serving him well.

And then came along a little pink haired green eyed girl "To our gods precious daughter, Sakura" the Jashinists chanted when Kizashi emerged from the birthing room of the temple, carrying the newborn girl as he told them her name.

The two parents couldn't be prouder as their friends were ever so careful with their child and treated her as if she was the most precious gem in the entire world, she was their goddess only in living flesh.

But they all should have known better, that someone would come and destroy their happiness for their religion, it was six months after the birth of Sakura that a large force infiltrated the little village and most if not all acolytes were killed.

This included the two proud parents, however our story does not end here for sweet little Sakura Haruno, for when she was found by the invading force, she was carefully lifted into arms and taken away from her birth place.

Across the sea and left at the gates of the Hidden Leaf Village covered in the blood of her parents and devoted fans, she cried until her cries were heard by a resident of the village "Good god she's coated in blood whatever do you suppose happened Shikaku" Inoichi Yamanaka frowned.

Lifting the wailing child where she instantly quieted to peer up at him with eerie green eyes "No idea my friend, what I do know is that it's unhealthy to leave her like that" Shikaku shook his head, staring at the little girl, in horror.

Inoichi, knowing that his friend was right, adjusted the child so that she was a little more comfortable and led the way to the Hokage Tower, needless to say Minato was equally as horrified "And you just found her laying outside the gates" Minato asked.

Equally as suspicious over the child's mysterious appearance, both men before him simply nodded "The question is now is whether to take her to the orphanage or give her to a loving family that will raise her right" Inoichi commented.

Causing their Hokage to frown "Kushina and I will take her in" Minato eventually said, grabbing a scroll and hastily scribbling a message to his wonderful pregnant wife that he gave to Shikaku to deliver along with the little girl.

To say Kushina was surprised when the two men showed up on her doorstep was an understatement especially when she saw what one of them carried "For you Kushina-sama, from Lord Hokage" Shikaku handed over the scroll.

That the woman took and slowly unrolled to read the contents "Give her to me Inoichi, this little angel won't want for a better mother after tonight" Kushina demanded once she'd finished reading the message from her husband.

Not that Inoichi would try to keep the girl away from her as the child was quickly transferred into Kushina's arms, eerie green eyes met violet irises and immediately Kushina the Red Hot Habenero was in love with the little girl.

And seeing as no other information about the girl was forthcoming, Kushina named the girl right there "Sakura Uzumaki, that will be your name from now on, you know" Kushina hugged the tiny pinkette to her chest.

Unfortunately tragedy followed Sakura because a month later after living with her new mother and father, after giving birth to their son, they died on the battle field and so once again Sakura was without family as she was separated from the boy who would have been her little brother.

Over the next twelve years, Sakura befriended Naruto, never knowing who he could have been to her, but she kept him close, she was unlike any child her academy sensei had ever encountered as she wondered at who she really was.

Unbeknownst to all, deep within a realm that no one would ever believe ever existed, was the God of Slaughter himself, Jashin, he was positively seething with unbridled rage and fury that his followers were murdered as they'd been.

So he plotted and a truly wicked idea came to mind, but, it would be years before his revenge on those pathetic fools who dared mess with his acolytes would come to fruition and heading his revenge would the lone survivor of the temple, Sakura Haruno.
