The Man of Balance

1. Chapter 1

Time, it takes many twists and turns each path a new set of events happening causing things to may or may not happen or to make things happen later or earlier than one would expect especially when one messes with time and history the same way repeatedly

(Temple of the Book of Ages)

"Stop the child" Shendu said as Jade wrote in the book of ages

"Eh Uncle" Jade said as the pages glowed brightly fading in and out

"What have you done?" Shendu said as the book glowed he ran toward the book but was tackled by his greatest nemesis Jackie Chan

"Stay away from her" Jackie said as he restrained the demonic dragon

"Uncle what is happening?" Jade said as she began to be transparent

"Too many changes to book must've upset time" Uncle said as he faded away

"Shendu" the demons of water and earth said as they disappeared

"No" Shedu said as he faded as well

"Ah" Jade said screaming as everything went black

"Wake up little one" a bearded man dressed in green robes said as he kneeled before Jade as she lied on the floor of a white void

"Who are you?" Jade asked feeling tired and exhausted her entire body feeling completely sore and as she opened her eyes all that she was met with was a blurry image

"A friend" the man said as he helped Jade up

Jade's vision cleared and she was face to face with an old friend she didn't think she would she again "Lo Pei" she said in surprise hugging him

"Good to see you again little one" Lo Pei said hugging back

"It's so good to see you I-wait did I die?" Jade asked him stopping midway through her sentence wondering how they were talking to each other

"No Jade but time has been changed to many times by both good and evil" Lo Pei said to her

"Yeah by the Chan and the Shendu families" a woman that looked exactly like Jade but older said

"Whoa are you?" Jade asked trailing off

"You yeah awesome right" the older Jade said sharing the same look as her younger self "listen Jade it's time to get serious this moment in time has been serious for a long time always causing multiple changes causing a new timeline or timelines" she said to her younger self

"So what's different this time?" Jade asked her older self

"A boy" Lo Pei said to her

"Ok what's so special about this guy?" Jade asked him wondering what was so special about the boy

"Everything" Lo Pei said to her "never before have I sensed such a good and pure hearted soul" he said to her getting lost in thought

"Yeah but Jade there's something you need to know since we're usually at the epicenter of time we'll go through a drastic change past as well as the present and future" future Jade said to her past self

"Like what?" Jade asked in worry

"The consequences are unknown little one it can be anything from being older or younger to not existing" Lo Pei said in to her as that was always the risk of time travel

"Ok but wait what about this boy you mentioned" Jade asked him in wonder

"He is a reincarnation a man beyond words but due to this new timeline I am unsure of where he shall appear and the world requires balance little one so I am unsure of what the world shall do to balance this" Lo Pei said to her as there had to be a balance between good and evil and only the soul of someone could choose which path they'd accept

"Oh man" Jade said as she began to fade away

"So...how exciting will it be for her this time around?" future Jade asked Lo Pei with a grin

"Very now don't you have your own timeline to get to" Lo Pei said to her

"Yeah yeah it was nice seeing you again Lo Pei" future Jade said with a smile

"Yes and I hope not to see you for a long time child" Lo Pei said as he sent future Jade back to her timeline "now for you little one" he said as a blonde baby in a basket appeared along with a black blob appearing from the floor

"Hello chi wizard" a red floating head with white hair said with a devilish grin

"Hello Tarakudo" Lo Pei said in disgust

"Hmm so this is the child that shall bare my mark interesting" Tarakudo said inspecting the child seeing it tug at his beard "aww what such potential for darkness" he said cooing over the boy

"You forget this boy is a reincarnation of himself basically turned to a baby" Lo Pei said to him as the symbol of the Pan'ku box appeared on his right shoulder

"Yes with no memories of his past life he can be dyed any color now old man" Tarakudo sad as his mark appeared on the baby's left shoulder "and I intend to have his canvas dyed pure black" he said with a smirk

"He shall be allowed to choose his life, you have no control of where he shall appear just as I" Lo Pei said as even though both had no control they were trying to hedge their bets unknown to the other they were trying to direct the baby to the same person...Jackie Chan

(years in the past)

"What's that?" a young Jackie Chan said as he was studying a temple and heard what sounded like crying, he ventured into the direction of the crying and soon saw a basket with a baby "oh what are you doing here little one" he said seeing a name sewn on the blanket around him "Naruto Uzumaki, Maelstrom Whirlpool" he said translating his name

The crying baby looked at him and calmed down and began to smile at him and then cried again as he heard thunder outside

"Oh don't worry little one you shall be safe" Jackie said trying to calm him down "but I better cover you up" he said as he took off his over shirt to cover the baby in the blanket as he heard more thunder signifying rain was approaching

The baby whimpered a little and after a few moments fell asleep

"So cute" Jackie said as he covered the baby as he exited the temple as he walked being careful as he heard more rumbling from the clouds

"Had over the basket" a blonde woman with a long ponytail said as she looked at Jackie

"Does it belong to you?" Jackie asked feeling the need to be extra careful since this wasn't an item it was another human life

The woman laughed a little "it will once you hand it over to me" she said taking out a whip

'Ok not his mother' Jackie thought as the blonde hair and blue eyes the woman had made him think there may have been a slim chance she was the baby's mother

"Are you going to hand it over?" the woman said as she readied her whip

"Not a chance" Jackie said gently placing the basket down and readied himself

"Oh a fighter" the woman said with a smile "well you should have the pleasure of knowing the woman who is about to take you down Vanessa Barone at your service" she said as she smacked her whip down

Jackie instinctively jumped back and regretted it as she ran to the basket making Jackie do something he never thought he'd do he punched the woman sending her back a few steps

"Not bad I like a man if it's important enough there must be something pretty important in that basket" Vanessa said with a smirk not even bothered by the punch

"Trust me what's in that basket is plenty important" Jackie said that firmly

"Oh now you've definitely peaked my interest" Vanessa said as she gained a wicked grin

"I'll say this only once leave" Jackie said as there was a limit to how much he'd put with as dealing with this woman trying to take this child was pushing his limit

"Sorry handsome" Vanessa said as she readied her whip and before she swung it the loud sound of thunder was heard and when she was about to swing her whip the sound of a baby crying stopped her

(few minutes later)

"I swear I thought I was stealing artifacts not an infant" Vanessa said as she had limits to what she'd steal

"I'm not sure if I should be glad or concerned about that" Jackie said with a chuckle as they were waiting inside the temple as it was raining very hard outside and he couldn't walk out with the baby in that weather as he had no proper protection for him

"Be glad so why is there a baby here?" Vanessa asked as she stared at the baby that was staring at her

"No idea" Jackie said as he was still amazed that the baby was left alone here "he won't bite" he said as he saw the uneasy look she had as she looked at the baby that reached toward her

"I'll admit he's cute" Vanessa said as she rubbed his head gently "you are a cute little one" she said as she tickled his stomach a little getting a laugh

"I wonder what I'm going to do with him" Jackie said as he never dealt with a child before

"Well I don't know if you'll want my opinion but you should consider taking this child he seems to like you" Vanessa said as the baby seemed real interested in Jackie "I'd consider keeping him since he's grown so attached in these few moments" she said to him

'Should I' Jackie thought to himself as he looked at the baby and considered becoming a father and seeing how happy the baby seemed around him he considered it

"The rain stopped" Vanessa said as a bright light broke through the clouds

"It has. thank you for not engaging any further Vanessa you are a nice lady" Jackie said as he walked away with the baby

'Nice lady' Vanessa thought trying to hold back her laughter "I'm not as nice as you think Mr Chan" she said reading his ID from the wallet she took from him and took note of his address

(few days later)

"Aiya Jackie why take in a baby? shop will never be quiet now" Uncle said as he saw the blonde baby who was laughing "aww you are cute" he said as with a smile, he then turned to Jackie "I am proud of you Jackie" he said opening his arms and when Jackie went to hug him Uncle swatted him in the face "you want hug? hug baby because baby's need much attention" he said walking away

"You look like you could use a nap sleep well Naruto" Jackie said as he tucked Naruto in and turned off the lights

The moment Jackie left Naruto looked up at the mobile in his crib unaware of the 9 shadowy circles around the crib and different styled ninja themed beings arouse

Naruto saw the beings and laughed as he saw them

The ninjas bowed and carefully hid in the shadows ready to pounce at the first sight of trouble as they heard the window open

"Hello little one" Vanessa said as she saw Naruto "here a little present" she said handing him a small rattle made of sterling steel "thought I'd give you a nice present" she said smiling as he swung it happily "I'll be sure to visit" she said as she took off leaving the way she came

The ninja literally came out the shadows and just watched over the boy

(10 years later)

"Good form Naruto" Jackie said as he was sparing with his son

"Thanks dad" Naruto said with a smile as he charged his father as they begun to spar

"Naruto package for you" Uncle said as he came in "oh and happy birthday nephew"

"Go today's your birthday go enjoy" Jackie said as Naruto ran off to go get the package

"I wonder what's inside it" Naruto asked as he saw a neatly wrapped box and when he opened it he saw a large orange leather jacket with black flames at the leave and the bottom, he saw a note inside the box "'you'll grow into it'" he said reading off the note wondering who this was from

Jackie saw that there was no return address and had a strong feeling he knew who this was from as Naruto had been getting gifts like these for years since he got him

"Jacket too big" Uncle said seeing Naruto try it on "but good leather" he said knowing quality when he saw it

"C'mon Naruto lets go get some ice cream" Jackie said as Naruto took off his jacket and they left

(in the distance)

'Happy birthday Naruto' Vanessa thought to herself from the distance as ever since she met the little baby he left an impression on her and she felt like she should keep an eye on him 'hope I get to meet you soon' she thought as she left to go 'acquire' some goods

(2 years later)

Naruto was currently practicing his form on the training dummy that he and his father used

"Man I wish I had a sparring partner" Naruto said as his dad was on an expedition somewhere and right now he didn't have a sparring partner

Unknown to Naruto someone was listening to him and soon a human ninja appeared being Naruto

Naruto decided to finish training early and went to go help Uncle and when he did he saw a ninja with a right green eye and a left red wearing a light black almost grey ninja gear

Naruto took a stance before the ninja bowed to him and got into a stance "ok this is a new one" he said as he engaged the ninja and they began striking the other 'somethings not right he has weapons shuriken and kunai and he's not going for any killing blows' he thought as he could tell this ninja was skilled

When Naruto backed off the ninja dropped its guard, but when Naruto took a stance again it took a stance as well

'Ok this is a little freaky' Naruto thought lowering his hands the ninja doing the same and soon faded into its own shadow "ok that was definitely weird" he said thinking out loud not noticing his shoulders glowed for a moment 'Okay think, what happened before that guy showed up, all I was wanting was a sparring partner' he thought having an idea "i want sparring partners" he said as multiple versions of the ninja that left appeared five in total

All the ninja took a stance ready to strike

"Maybe Uncle isn't so crazy" Naruto said thinking this was a little cool "let's see if I'm as good as I think I am" he said as he charged the ninja

(20 minutes later)

"Ok well that sucked" Naruto said as he only managed to take one out it bursting into smoke the others still remaining as they kicked his ass "hey are you guys good or evil" he asked them

The ninja just remained still

"Ok where'd you come from?" Naruto asked them and the answer he got was them pointing at the floor directly at their shadows "ok dumb question why did you come to me" he asked them as they just bowed to him "ok maybe Uncle is right must do research" he said as he was about to exit "oh and you can go home I guess" he said to them as they sunk into the floor

(few hours later)

Naruto was looking into some of Uncle's older tomes finding a small tidbit of information "'demons and other followers of darkness posses a dark aura and very dark characteristics but the most common trait is usually red eyes usually belonging to truly dark creatures'" he read from a tome as it was a guide to detecting disguised creatures 'those guys had a green eye and according to this green is the color of good chi' he thought as he found a passage for a simple way to see what a creatures true intentions were if it worked it meant they were dangerous

"What are you doing with Uncle's spell books?" Uncle said coming into see Naruto reading his tomes

"Oh I was...curious about chi magic" Naruto said as that was basically the truth

"Excellent I knew you were smart nephew unlike your father" Uncle said happily then noticed the book he was looking at "ah yes good start one must know when dealing with certain forces" he said sounding proud

"Is it true that good chi is seen as green while dark chi is seen as red?" Naruto asked him curiously

"There are other colors but yes those two are set with those two sides" Uncle said to him "here a charm it will banish anything close to you that is of a dark nature" he said giving Naruto a small medallion

"So if it's not evil then this won't work against them?" Naruto asked him

"No" Uncle said as he let out a yawn "get sleep soon" he said going to bed

Naruto went to his room and summoned the ninjas and he brought out the medallion but to his confusion it seemed to be working and not working as it seemed to be trying to banish the ninja then stop to start all over again "yin can't exist without yang" he said as that was the greatest lesson Uncle decided to teach him as the world could not exist without balance, he put the medallion away as he felt he could trust them

(few weeks later)

"You certainly are improving Naruto" Jackie said as Naruto seemed stronger and quicker than the last time he saw him

"Thanks been training real hard" Naruto said as he had been training with the ninja for awhile

"And meditating and drinking tea, a strong body cannot exist without a strong mind and spirit" Jackie said as Naruto was good in body and had a good spirit but it did tend to lash out for the right reasons whenever he saw something he couldn't stand

"Yes tea is the only thing here dad I swear it's basically Uncle's blood, I mean I'm not complaining but still" Naruto said as tea was the only thing his Uncle drank

"I know the feeling but he could lay off the mung beans" Jackie said as they both shivered and gagged a little from the terrible smelling bean their Uncle ate a lot

"Alright I got homework" Naruto said as he had school work to do

"So do I must do research" Jackie said trying to sound like Uncle only to receive a finger swat to the head by the man he was mimicking

"You wanna make fun of Uncle?" Uncle asked him swatting at him again

(5 years later)

"That temple was awesome" Naruto said with a chuckle holding a shield

"Calm down Naruto" Jackie said as he was happy to take Naruto on an excavation

As they entered their home they found uncle meditating "Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao" he chanted

"Hey Uncle" Naruto said as he placed the shield down and hugged him

"Ah nephew" Uncle said to him

"I got you those ingredients" Naruto said as he handed Uncle a bag

"Ah such rare ingredients you good nephew" Uncle said as Naruto always brought him herbs whenever he went with Jackie "you lazy nephew why you no bring back Uncle something useful" he said as he went to put these away

"He flirted with a shopkeeper to get some of those" Jackie said with a chuckle as Naruto gave him a betrayed look

"Aiya did I help raise a man whore no" Uncle said as he swatted Naruto repeatedly "Did you at least get her number?" he asked wondering how successful he was

"Uncle!" Jackie said reprimanding him

"Uncle just joking" Uncle said raising his hands "maybe" he said as Naruto laughed

"And yeah she gave me her number" Naruto said as there hadn't been a woman who truly caught his attention

"Oh and Jackie letter arrive for you one more thing I can't translate inscriptions and one more thing this is your niece Jade, she will be staying with us for a year" Uncle said pointing to the girl next to the counter

The girl next to the counter seemed around Naruto's age, she had skinny jeans that showed off her amazing legs and wrapped nicely around her bubbly ass, she had a bright orange shirt that clung tightly to her mid almost large DD-cup breasts

Time seemed to slow for Naruto as he looked at her and vice versa

"I have a niece?!" Jackie said shocked

"Your cousin's Shen's girl from Hong Kong, Jade is not behaving well there, doing poor in school, your cousin believed she'd do better here in America with you" Uncle said as he went to the back with the shield

Jackie would've said something but he saw the way the two were looking at each other and almost laughed as he wanted to take a picture, but before he could find a camera three men walked in "hello how may I help you?" he asked them

Naruto glanced down to see the glowing eyes of his shadowkhan but he slightly shook his head telling them to stand down 'something's up they're never usually like that' he thought to himself as his shadowkhan after learning much about them never truly acted like that

"Are you Jackie Chan, the archaeologist?" the man in the white suit asked him sounding professional

"Oh I dabble in the study of past civilizations" Jackie said as he didn't like to brag

"Well we are aware that you've dabbled a shield from a Bavarian castle, our extremely wealthy employer would very much like to purchase that shield" the man in the white suit said

Jackie gave them a look not liking where this may be going "I am sorry, I have already donated that piece to the university" he said coming up with a decent lie as he was known for always giving and donating pieces to places that could further research it

'These guys are trouble' Naruto thought sharing a look with his father

"Well" the white suit wearing man said nodding to the large suit wearing man who knocked over two vases

Jackie quickly came over the desk catching the vases

The man wearing large orange shades knocked one over, but Jackie quickly got a cushion from the chair nearby to make it jump as he tossed the two vases up before putting the three on a shelf and the cushion back in the chair as he sat in it looking relaxed

Naruto smirked and chuckled seeing their reactions

"Well Mr Chan it'd be in your family's best interests to un donate it by this time tomorrow" the man in white said as the three left

"Lock up the shop and hide the shield" Naruto said as he and his father waited a few moments before following after them

"And watch the girl" Jackie said to Uncle as they left

"Where will I hide-" Uncle was saying before he forgotten where he placed it and didn't realize Jade was long gone

(roof tops)

"And people say you don't know how to have fun" Naruto said as he and Jackie an from roof to roof following the car with the three men

"Really who?" Jackie asked him

"Just trust me when I say it's a lot" Naruto said as his father was a little too obsessed with archaeology

"And people find this fun?" Jackie asked never finding danger of any kind fun

"Yep, just look up all the people doing parkour" Naruto said as nothing got his blood more pumping than some action

When the car came to a stop Jackie began going down a gutter

"Dad I wouldn't-" Naruto was saying till it fell off making him land on the hood of the men's car pissing the men off

"Ow, bad day" Jackie said

"Aiya" Naruto said as the men crashed the car against a fence and he watched as the men went out and began attacking his dad 'eh he'll be fine' he thought as these guys were only street level crooks, he was put on alarm when they took out electric swords cutting through the fence like butter and his dad readied himself with windshield wipers

"Go go" Jackie said trying to send the nearby children away

"Hey clowns" Naruto said as he and his father started smacking them around

The men looked at the two and knew they were heavily out classed

"Hey" Naruto said as he saw Jade

"Whoa" Jade said to them in total awe

Naruto and Jackie would've said something if not for a gas sprayed near them

(half hour later)

"I swear, whoever knocked me out is so gonna get it" Naruto said as he had a massive headache "oh it's you" he said seeing an old acquaintance of his father's Captain Augustus Black

"Augustus Black" Jackie said happily as he pulled the man into a hug

"Wanna fill us in on why you gassed us?" Naruto asked a little pissed

"Sorry but where we're going is top secret" Black said to him

"Wait, you knocked us out?" Jackie asked rubbing the back of his head

"I swear this gas cloak and dagger shit" Naruto said as he stood up

"Language" Jackie said reprimanding Naruto but understood his frustration where are we going

"Phone booth" Naruto asked Captain Black curiously as the ally was completely trashed and the only thing new about it was a phone booth

"Oh good, I should call Uncle and see if he's okay" Jackie said as he entered the phone booth and grabbed the phone

"Wait dad-" Naruto was saying before the booth shot into a tunnel into a wall that opened up

"Somethings never change" Black said as Jackie always got mixed up in a lot and did a lot of things by accident

"Yep, but it always makes me laugh" Naruto said chuckling as they went to another secret passage way and walked down some stairs

(Few minutes later)

"Need a hand?" Black said to him

"How'd you get down here?" Jackie asked as he was sure he arrived here in the blink of an eye

"The stairs" Naruto and Black said simply

"Oh" Jackie said feeling woozy

"Follow me" Black said as Naruto helped Jackie up and the three entered through a door "Welcome to Section 13" he said showing them the agency

"I knew you worked for more than interpole" Naruto said as Black always seemed a little more ahead

"You're a spy, they're all spies?" Jackie asked in surprise

"Even when you knew me back then I was running this" Black said in admittance

"So why gives us the big tour?" Jackie asked curiously as his friend didn't do nothing without purpose

"Let me guess, the shield?" Naruto asked him as everyone was interested in that thing

"How does everybody know this? You're the second person to ask about it today" Jackie said

"So they've acted already" Black said to him

"What we dealing with smugglers of imported goods, crooks, or something else?" Naruto asked him

"Section 13 was founded to investigate large scale international crimes, crime in which it seems that can be traced back to a syndicate known as The Dark Hand" Black said as he brought up a few pictures "The Dark Hand has had connections to almost every crime in existence, their leader is this man, Valmont" he said as he they saw the man's photo

Naruto glanced down again to see the Shadowkhan reacting to the photo of the man 'what is that?' he thought to himself in wonder as the shadowkhan were reacting to something in Valmont's photo a set of red glowing eyes but the picture was to blurred in the background

"What's that in the background?" Jackie asked as he saw where his son was looking

"Don't know, some sort of statue, sorry the picture always gets blurry in that part of the room for some reason" Black said as they tried getting photos of Valmont in his office from across certain buildings

'Hmm, whatever it is, the shadowkhan don't seem to like it or they're getting protective' Naruto thought as his shadowkhan acted sometimes to protect him and they seemed to think that thing was very much a threat

"Considering how the Dark Hand is getting into archaeological related items, I figured we could use an archaeologist of our own." Black said to him

"He wants you to work for him dad" Naruto said speeding things along

"But my university work" Jackie said not wanting to be distracted from his actual job

"It wouldn't be full time, research only" Black assured him

"Does anyone hear a scooter?" Naruto asked them

"Naruto!" Jade said arriving on a scooter grabbing him

"You are crazy, I like that!" Naruto said as he laughed being face to face with Jade then doing a flip getting behind her

"It's my best quality" Jade said with a slight blush which was hidden by her helmet

Jackie grabbed a chair with wheels and grabbed the scooter as Jade came back around

"We're busting out of here!" Jade said simply

"You speak English?!" Jackie said in surprise

"Duh" Naruto and Jade said sharing a laugh

"Oh my god, you are like him but a girl" Jackie said as his son was a thrill seeker

"I know it's awesome!" Naruto said in excitement

'Oh no there's two of them' Jackie thought as this was a nightmare of his

Jackie reached over and flipped the off switch of the scooter getting launched into some crates as it stopped

"How many fingers am I holding up?" Black said as he held up two finger

"Ooh fishies" Jackie said as he looked a little confused

Naruto did Uncle's two fingered head smack on Jackie's head

"Ow, what was that for?" Jackie said as he rubbed his head

"He's okay" Naruto said chuckling as that always worked

"Let go of me" Jade said as she was being restrained

"Young lady how'd you get in here?" Black asked her seriously

"The stairs" Jade said simply being smart

"I swear I found my soulmate" Naruto said as he laughed

"Where did you get the bike? You could've been hurt" Jackie said

"The garage" Jade said once again acting smart

"Did you hotwire this ok it's official I'm in love" Naruto said as that was just awesome

"So are we blowing this taco stand or what?" Jade asked wondering what they were gonna do

"Jade these are my friends" Jackie said simply

'Yeah the guys that gassed us we're super close' Naruto thought sarcastically as the next person who attempted that would get hit

"Your friends knocked you out and took you to a secret underground base?" Jade asked wondering if he was serious

"Uh… yes" Jackie said

"America, is so cool!" Jade said

"This is literally the day I have been dreading the day I'd have two of you" Jackie said to Naruto as he knew somehow someway it'd happen

"I know it's amazing right?" Naruto asked in excitement

"Care to explain how our security was penetrated by a child?" Black asked his agents as this place was suppose to be secure

"I'm no child, I'm Jackie's niece" Jade said sounding proud "Besides I'll be 17 in a few months" she said as her birthday was coming up

"That actually explains a lot, didn't know you had a niece" Black said as Naruto did things like that when they met

"Yeah, join the club" Jackie said as he began taking her out of there to talk to her

Naruto rolled his eyes before his phone began ringing "You have reception down here?" he asked surprised as he thought they'd be blocking signals "Hello?"

"Ah Naruto, where's Jackie he's not answering phone" Uncle said to him

"He forgot it, as usual" Naruto said as he always had to remind his father to get his phone every now and again

"Oh well, one more thing, where is Jade?" Uncle asked

"With us" Naruto said with a chuckle as she slipped right past Uncle an easy feat to say the least

"I had a feeling you two would get along, one more thing I have been doing research on the shield, I have found the inscriptions mean, they are incantations" Uncle said

"The shield is from Bavaria, what dialect is the language?" Naruto asked as the shield seemed like a mix from different cultures

"Shield not important" Uncle said simply

"Then what is" Naruto asked as he wondered if the shield was hiding anything

"The-" Uncle was saying

"Uncle?" Naruto asked in concern

"The old man is okay, but for every hour the shield is not in my possession" a man over the phone said threateningly

"I swear if you hurt him" Naruto said angrily

"Bring me the shield and your uncle will be returned unharmed" The man said

"Fine I'll be right there" Naruto said hanging up the phone "I'll be back" he said as he left

"Where is Jade?" Jackie asked as when he turned back to talk to her she was gone "how do they do that?" he asked as both kids seemingly had that ability

"Considering who they're related to, it's no surprise" Black said with a chuckle

(later at Uncle's shop)

"C'mon" Naruto said as he looked around the shop wondering where Uncle of all people put the shield as his mind often wandered to different places "You find it Jade?" he asked knowing she was here

"No," Jade said, coming out from behind a blind "How'd you know I followed you?" she asked

"Because it's exactly something I'd do" Naruto said as they spotted the shield under a stack of books

"What's so special about the shield?" Jade asked him

"I think I have an idea" Naruto said looking at the stone part of the shield "Uncle said the shield was unimportant, I have a idea" he said with a smirk

"You and me are going to get along great" Jade said

"Yep, so you ready for some action and adventure?" Naruto asked her

"Ready for it? I live for it" Jade said her adrenaline pumping very hard through her veins

(half hour later)

"I got the shield right here, whoa they grow large where you come from?" Naruto asked as he was at the building the man arranged for them to meet at and found the large sumo like man with Uncle

"The shield" the man said simply

"Catch" Naruto said tossing it like a frisbee

"Fool say sayonara to your uncle" the man said as he then realized he was already gone

"Sucker" Jade said as she left with Uncle taking the stairs

"Make that double mega sucker" Naruto said as the shield returned and he caught it and ran to another part of the roof

Black blurs zipped around Naruto before he found himself surrounded by red eyed Shadowkhan 'What the? I thought the only ones were the ones I made' he thought as these seemed bad to the bone 'hope Uncle doesn't see' he thought as he didn't want to worry his Uncle when he called for backup

"Hmm" the large man said seeing shadowkhan surround the boy but got into defensive stances around him despite having different eyes Naruto's Shadowkhan seemed larger and more built than the red eyed ones "attack" he said loudly

One Shadowkhan punched one of Naruto's Shadowkhan but the khan didn't even budge as it just looked at the red eyed Khan before shoving it's arm right through it making it poof

'What is this?' the man thought completely baffled 'does he have his own army of shadowkhan like Shedu' he thought wondering if this child was indeed a child

The man was speechless as Naruto's Shadowkhan tore through the others like a knife through butter as they took defensive stances around Naruto protecting him from the man

"Hey big guy, you want it so bad? Then go get it!" Naruto said as he tossed the shield off the building and winced a little as Jade caught it and it sent her and Uncle falling back

The shadowkhan each pulled one another into the shadows disappearing

'Really wish I could walk up walls' Naruto thought as the building was to tall and the man took the elevator

Naruto sat and thought remembering back when the khan showed up when he wanted a sparring partner and so he took a step onto the wall and found his foot was sticking to it 'It's like my body gives me what I want' he thought not noticing his tattoos were glowing again 'focus do what Uncle always tells you to and clear your mind' he thought as he felt magic course through his body "Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao" he began chanting as it helped him clear his mind when he meditates

Before long Naruto was literally walking on the side of the building

'Oh man' Naruto thought in excitement as this was cool "hey big guy catch" he said jumping off making the large man turn around only for Naruto's foot to meet his face

"How you walk on wall?" Uncle asked curiously

"Explanations later, Jade the shield" Naruto said as Jade handed him the shield "Catch" he said throwing it at the man as they ran off

"No don't let him have the talisman" Uncle said with a fearful look

"Oh you mean this talisman?" Jade asked Uncle as she held it in her hand, she grinned as she held up two fingers

"We took it out before we came over" Naruto said as he handed it to Jade for safe keeping

"So you caught on, like I said, shield not important" Uncle said proudly

"A rooster like in the zodiac, that means there's more than one ain't there?" Naruto asked as it was an ancient sign for the rooster

"Yes, one talisman for each of the chinese zodiac" Uncle said to him and they were interrupted when a helicopter came into view

"Good guy or bad guy?" Jade asked them

"Good" Naruto said as he saw his father jump out of it when it got close to the ground

"I have been looking for you, everywhere" Jackie said in worry

Uncle smacked Jackie on the head "How do you keep losing track of him? One more thing, stop leaving cell phone behind, one more thing" he said smacking Jackie again "How you let them do all the work? Where have you been?" he asked him and when he was too slow to answer he was whacked again

"Is that normal?" Jade asked as she chuckled seeing the interaction

"Yep and it's always entertaining to watch" Naruto said laughing

"What happened to the shield?" Black asked wondering where it went

"I told you! Shield not important, the talisman in the center of the shield is, that's where the magic lies" Uncle said as Jade presented it

"Pulling a con on thieves always fun" Naruto said as this hadn't been the first time he had done this

(With the man)

He marched to Valmont before giving him the shield "Master" he said as he kneeled

Valmont's eyes widened as the statue's red eyes behind Valmont glowed "Tohru!" he said angrily

"What?" Tohru asked wondering what was wrong

"You fool, the talisman is gone!" the circular dragon statue said angrily

"I figured your Shadowkhan would've at least succeeded Shendu" Valmont said as the dragon sent a legion of the masked ninja

"There was a boy, he summoned his own Shadowkhan and they slaughtered them" Tohru said a little fearfully

"WHAT!?" Shedu said in surprise "what did he look like you fool" he asked demandingly wanting a description

"A 17 year old blonde boy with whiskers" Tohru said as that was the best description he could give

"And did his Shadowkhan look any different than my own?" Shendu asked wondering if it was another type of shadowkhan

"They somewhat resembled what looked like a cross between a raccoon and a dog and the Khan but they also had one green eye and one red eye, they were bigger and more built than the normal khan you sent" Tohru said as he saw some strange features in the ninja

"These are unlike any shadowkhan I have ever heard of before this boy...be watchful of him" Shedu said as this just became more interesting

"Do you want me to get him?" Valmont asked curiously as the dragon statue seemed to gain an interest in this boy

"No, focus on finding the other talismans if we happen to get him while doing so is just an added bonus" Shendu said as the boy was a second priority in comparison to his mission

(Back with Naruto)

"11 more talismans, and no doubt these Dark Hand guys will be after them" Naruto said as they were discussing the other talisman

"You in Jackie?" Black asked his friend

"Absolutely" Jade and Naruto said agreeing for him making said Chan smile

"One more thing, you still haven't explained how you walked down wall" Uncle said as he was curious to that

"Or how you managed to defeat those red eyed ninjas" Jade said as she wanted details as she thought it'd be an awesome story

"You walked down a wall and fought ninjas?" Jackie asked as that made him worry

"Yeah ugh magic" Naruto said as he didn't want to reveal his shadowkhan

"I see someone has been listening to Uncle, magic can only defeat magic, and the Shadowkhan are born of very dark magic" Uncle said to them all

"Let's grab some grub" Naruto said as he was a little hungry and as they left he checked his shoulders seeing nothing there but could've sworn he felt something like he had been for years

"Come on, I'm starving" Jade said as she grabbed his arm and began to drag him

"Oh if you're anything like Naruto then you must be able to eat lots" Uncle said looking at Naruto "you bottomless pit" he said looking at Naruto

"Yep, as evident by all the eating contests I've been in and won" Naruto said proudly

"How do you eat so much and not get fat?" Jade asked as she checked out his muscles

"I exercise a lot and plus I have to eat lots as you know I burn calories like crazy" Naruto said as all his large meals were basically carbo loading

(20 minutes later)

"This is very disturbing" Jackie said as he saw them eat bowl after bowl of ramen

"Aiya, they really are just like each other" Uncle said in surprise

"You both are eating like baboons chew your food" Jackie said to Naruto and Jade

"It's ramen and it's amazing" Naruto said getting a nod from Jade who was slurping her soup

"It's like they are a perfect match" Uncle said "One more thing, when are you ever going to find a girlfriend?" he asked Jackie

"I can answer that… never" Naruto said chuckling

Jackie laughed a little nervously

"I swear you need girlfriend, how is your son already finding a woman when you still haven't?" Uncle asked him finding that a little sad

"Uncle please I am fine" Jackie said to him

"It's sad when son has more game than the father" Uncle said laughing

Jade and Naruto joined in the laughter

"I-I have game" Jackie said nervously

"You have less game than Uncle" Naruto said receiving a swat to the head

"I'll have you know Uncle was quite the catch back in the day" Uncle said reminiscing his past

"When was that, back when dinosaurs walked the Earth?" Jade asked receiving her swat to the head

"Hey Chan" the man in white said to him approaching the table "hand over the talisman and the kid" he said to them

"Naruto/me" everyone and Naruto said in surprise

"Sorry dudes I don't roll like that" Naruto said as he grabbed a nearby plate and threw it at him

"Why do you want nephew?" Uncle asked sternly

"Because of what he can do" The man in the orange shades said

"You want magic come and get it" Uncle said taking a stance

"You're not getting either" Jackie said seriously "Naruto take Jade and leave" he said seriously

"Ugh fine" Naruto said as he grabbed Jade and ran

"Awww" Jade said as she didn't want to miss the action

(few minutes later)

"Why are they following us?" Jade asked as they split up at one point and they were both being followed and met back up

"Well for me it's obvious but for you I don't know" Naruto said as they had some kinda glowing stone wand

"But why are they after you?" Jade asked wondering what he meant

"It'd be better to stay with the others present that way I don't have to repeat myself" Naruto said as he had kept this secret for years and considered telling them "We need to get clear of these things"he said as he wanted to end these things

Suddenly his shadowkhan appeared once again getting between Naruto, Jade and them

"Whoa" Jade said quickly seeing the difference between them and the others

"Make sure they don't get to me or Jade" Naruto said to them

His Shadowkhan nodded as they took stances

"Let's move" Naruto said as he dragged Jade behind him

"You have your own ninjas cool" Jade said in excitement

"They're Shadowkhan but yeah, I think I've had them my whole life, I don't know why they listen to me or look different than those but they just do" Naruto said as he never found information past the basics of their being

Jade suddenly hiccuped and began to float off the ground

"You have the talisman?" Naruto asked as he read the inscriptions on the back

"No" Jade said before hiccuping again but this time she dropped to the ground

"Don't tell you ate it. How'd it even get down your throat?" Naruto asked as it was the size of a golf ball

"Hey we were eating soup, what part of that involves chewing?" Jade asked him as he did the exact same thing as her

"The better question is how do we get it out? Because I don't think anyone wants to see if that thing will come out the other end" Naruto said as he was positive no one would want to touch it then

"I may have some ideas child" Tohru said as he cracked Naruto's shoulder knocking him out

"Naruto" Jade said as Tohru grabbed her and him

"I knew Finn, Ratso and Chow couldn't catch you, not bad for a large guy, huh" Tohru said as he remembered the comment from earlier

"Oh you heard that comment" Jade said laughing nervously

(later at the fish cannery)

"If you harm her I'll kill you" Naruto said as saw Tohru sharpening a sword, he felt weak and woozy and was unable to summon his shadowkhan 'did they drug me' he thought curiously

"Shit man I thought he was down" Finn said as he and the others showed up "how are you even conscious the big bad dragon said this would keep you down" he said to them

"Because I'm a Chan you 1970's disco reject" Naruto said to him angrily

"He's got you pegged Finn" Chow said with a chuckle "I thought his name was Uzumaki" he asked as he did research on them

"I'm adopted you weird eyeglasses reject! Wait you said dragon" Naruto said as he still felt woozy

"Yeah it's freaky" Ratso said as the statue creeped him out

"You think, baseball nut?" Naruto asked wondering what this dragon was

"He pegging all of us" Finn said as he felt a little revealed as Naruto was a little on the nose

"How do you know these are Eyeglasses?" Chow asked him as no one could tell

"And how'd you know I liked baseball?" Ratso asked him scratching his head in wonder

"You all are so easy" Naruto said as he was guessing on the small stuff he saw from them as he saw a baseball card in Ratso's pocket, Chow's skin seemed light around his eyes, and Finn's outfit were old fashioned

"Then try me" Shendu said speaking through a Shadowkhan that came through

"Demon" Naruto said simply

"Smart child" Shendu said sounding amused

"Hmm, you're controlling this Shadowkhan, meaning you have great powers over dark chi, and your voice sounds reptilian meaning you are the dragon, and why you grabbed me is because I have the unique ability to summon my own Khan which surprises you because you've never seen my Khan before. Anything I missed?" Naruto asked as that was what he felt as he knew he was also curious of the person able to summon shadowkhan "Oh if I were to hazard your name, it's Shendu, the ancient demonic sorcerer dragon that ruled over China centuries ago before you and your siblings were defeated and cast away leaving you behind as a statue when the ancient chi wizards stripped you of your powers" he said as he read a lot of Uncle's books

"Too smart for your own good much more smarter than these pieces of rabble" Shedu said looking at the enforcers

"I know right, what's an awesome reptilian dude like you working with trash like them?" Naruto asked him

"Awesome?" Shedu said as he admired the praise as it had been a long time

"Growing up I always loved dragons and stuff like that. You should see the amount of dragon and demon related stuff I have in my room" Naruto said as it ticked Uncle off to no end

"Well it's nice to meet a fan" Shendu said loving that his ego was being stroked

"And if I were to guess you need the 12 talismans to restore yourself back to normal which is why you need Jade as she has it in her stomach" Naruto said as he saw the unconscious girl at a table

"How does a child swallow a golf ball?" Shedu said a little bit of anger as he didn't want his talisman filthy

"When it's a woman that could be considered a good thing" Naruto said laughing a little

"That is beside the point, how do you command your Shadowkhan?" Shendu asked the burning question on his mind

"Don't know, they just showed up one day and boom they were there" Naruto said as that was how it was

"He's not lying" Shendu said as he was very skilled in detecting lies and so far the boy was honest with ever word he spoke, he looked over the boy's body to see if he had any special markings or anything that could indicate anything'somethings a miss he needs something to call them but what' he thought as he binded himself to a certain something in order to use his shadowkhan

When Shendu placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder it began to glow before smoke came off of the Shadowkhan's hand as it seemed to burn it making Shendu scream in pain

"Whoa did the kid do that?" Finn said as he was surprised that happened

"What is that?! buffoons lift up his sleeve" Shendu said as the enforcers did so

"Ow!" Finn said as his hand got burned by the green fire from Naruto's sleeve

"It must be some form of defense mechanism to protect him" Shendu said as that was his only theory

"The hell is that?" Chow asked as they managed to get the sleeves up while still having some skin on their hands left they saw a mark but it quickly faded

"A mark that powerful" Shedu said in surprise "who gave it to you boy?" he asked in demand

"I don't know I've pretty much had it since I was born" Naruto said as he finally got a good look at something on one of his arms as he always felt something

Shedu breathed fire from his shadowkhan and to his surprise a green and red chi shield protected him "good and bad chi magic?!" he said in surprise as he had never heard of such a thing

"That would explain why my Shadowkan have red and green eyes" Naruto said thinking out loud

"Tohru remove the talisman from the girl and bring me the boy my shadowkhan can't transport him through the shadow realm as his shadows will be there" Shedu said to him as he took off

"What no goodbye?" Naruto said sarcastically 'I've seen that symbol before but where?' he thought as the glowing symbol was no longer on his arm

Tohru continued to sharpen the blade on the stone wheel feeling the urge to do so with the sword feeling it wasn't sharp enough

"C'mon please" Naruto said as he tried focusing, but his mind felt so cloudy

"Aiya Naruto" Uncle said appearing as a head before him

'Oh man' Naruto thought wandering if the drugs were getting to him or if Uncle was projecting himself as whenever he got the willies that a specific person was in danger he did this

"Focus Naruto good chi wizard knows how to channel strong emotions into power" Uncle said to him before fading

'Ok calm down and focus' Naruto said as he stopped fighting and just focused relaxing his body and his mind

"Did he fall asleep?" Tohru asked himself as he saw Naruto wasn't struggling

"N-Naruto" Jade said as she began to regain consciousness

"Go back to sleep child this will only hurt for a moment" Tohru said to her

Naruto eyes changed from blue to green in that moment as the tattoo on his arm appeared again but this time shined even brighter

"What the?" Tohru said as he shielded his eyes

Naruto felt a rush of power and broke free of his chains and ran to Tohru and sent him flying

"Whoa, when did you get so strong?" Jade asked in surprise as Tohru must've weighed hundreds of pounds

"Later" Naruto said as he broke her restraints and picked her up bridal style

"You're not going anywhere" Tohru said picking himself up

"You wanna?" Naruto asked looking at her stomach

Jade hiccuped again before the two watched as Tohru began to float up towards the ceilings "I could control this if I didn't keep getting hiccups and wow is he heavy" she said as Tohru was very heavy

"That's okay, you can drop him" Naruto said as Tohru was floating at the very top touching the ceiling

Jade grunted before Tohru screamed as he fell through the floor and the floor underneath that and so on until he reached the basement and went through that making it to the ocean

"Wow, this building has more floors than I thought" Naruto said in surprise

"Thanks for saving me best day ever" Jade said as she got comfortable in his arms

(3 hours later)

"Still the best day ever?" Naruto asked as her stomach was pumped

"Not so much" Jade groaned as her stomach felt empty

"Here some from my personal stash" Naruto said as he gave her some ramen

"So… living in section 13?" Jade asked as she saw they were in a roomed that was similar to Jackie's at the shop

"I don't know, what I do know is that I'm glad they cleaned this thing before letting us look at it again" Naruto said as he held the talisman and as he did the rooster symbol lit up

"Hello young wielder of chi" a small rooster said to him as it floated

"Am I high right now?" Naruto asked him as he didn't know what drugs he was given

"No, we're inside your mind, I am the spirit that lies within the rooster talisman" the rooster said

"Whoa" Naruto said as he was talking to 'THE' rooster of the zodiac

"Yes and I must say little one your mental fortitude is strong" the rooster said

"My dad and Uncle say a strong mind promotes a strong spirit" Naruto said

"Wise words but you must always remember power is only defined by the way it is used" the rooster said to him

"Like my Khan, I use them to protect my loved ones and if I were to use that power for evil then I would be like that Shendu guy" Naruto said as he knew how Shedu used them

"Exactly" the rooster said as it glowed "now take this gift" he said as a small piece of energy shot at Naruto

(Back to normal)

"I know I'm even surprised they let us have it back after that" Jade said to him with a chuckle

"What oh yeah they're setting up a vault for them" Naruto said to her

"Wanna guess the zodiac's powers?" Jade asked as she held a small thing that had the 12 animals of the chinese Zodiac that was at that chinese restaurant they ate at

"Ox is definitely strength" Naruto said as that was obvious

"Dragon fire" Jade said to him

"Rabbit speed" Naruto said as that was real straight forward

"I don't know about the rest" Jade said as her mind was having a little trouble determining the rest

"Hmm, sheep, it has to deal with sleeping as that's what everyone thinks of when they're trying to sleep, dog might me long life, tiger is balance" Naruto said as he was thinking about old phrases

"Think Horse might have something to do with health?" Jade said thinking about the old saying 'being as healthy as a horse'

"Maybe, I don't know what monkey or pig could be but perhaps snake is invisibility as you know snakes hide in the grass" Naruto said as snake in the grass made the most sense to him

"Right, let's just eat as I need food to replace what came out" Jade said very hungry wanting to refill her stomach

"Then let's eat this ramen" Naruto said as they ate together

"Thanks for saving me, hero" Jade said as she gave a punch on the shoulder then a quick peck on the cheek and smiled seeing him blush and then the two shared a laugh

Unknown to the two even as the talisman was on the table a few small objects lifted off the ground

(with Shedu)

"Valmont I want you to find out anything they can about Naruto Uzumaki his mark I know I've seen it before I want to know his history" Shedu said to him demandingly as the boy caught his attention

"About that, before a certain point it's like he didn't exist until one day he's put into the system" Valmont said as the boy didn't exist until he was found by Chan no information on his history or blood work

"I sense ancient forces are at work around that child" Shendu said as the good chi he felt was pure while the dark chi he felt rivaled his own

"I must say there's certainly more to this Naruto Uzumaki Chan than meets the eye" Valmont said wondering what was so special about him to gain Shendu's attention

(With Naruto)

"So you possess good and bad chi and can control your own Shadowkhan?" Uncle said in surprise and then began swatting Naruto like crazy "what is wrong with you have you become like father in not listening use only good chi" he said to him

"I don't know how I gained bad chi, it's just that Shendu was gonna blast me with fire and then a barrier of red and green chi came up and protected me" Naruto said to him

"Aiya" Uncle said to him "summon a shadowkhan I wish to examine it" he said wanting to take the opportunity to study it

Naruto did what he wanted and he summoned a regular shadowkhan

"Amazing it possess good chi and not just bad" Uncle said as he swatted Naruto again "why you no tell Uncle you can trust Uncle" he said to him

"I didn't want you to freak out" Naruto said as he was rubbing his head from all the swats

"What exactly happened as Shendu tried to attack you?" Jackie asked as he saw Naruto's burned sleeve

"Well whenever his possessed Shadowkhan or the enforcers tried touching me some symbol or something would appear glowing and it'd burn them" Naruto said

"Can you make a picture of the symbol?" Uncle asked him

"Yeah" Naruto said as he did making a picture of some kind of face

"This mark very familiar I shall study it when I am on break from searching for talismans" Uncle said to him

"Cool, it looked amazing" Jade said as she thought the mark was awesome

"I wonder?" Uncle said thinking out loud

"Yeah, it was and it looked like some kinda map design logo" Jade said

"AY YAH, now Uncle remembers mark, it was made by Lo Pei a powerful chi warrior" Uncle said in amazement

(few hours later)

"Long day" Naruto said as he lied down in bed and as he did the mark began to glow again but this time the mark became permanent on his arm, the other mark on his other arm shined for a moment before it faded

(with Shedu)

"Hmm dark magic" Shendu said as he sensed the boy's power but this time darker than good magic from before "you grow more interesting child" he said in amusement

(Few days later)

"If any mummies pop up I am so out of here" Jade said as this looked like a classic mummy movie set up

"I'd protect you but I'd try getting a picture" Naruto said "And you're the one that wanted to come because of that" he said as when he said they were going to a pyramid

"Hold this" Jackie said giving him a map

"Can't believe you have to pick that thing's nose to open its mouth" Jade said getting Naruto to laugh as Jackie put his hands in the ox statue's nose to make it's mouth open

"And it's not there, called it. I told you this seemed too easy" Naruto said as they saw an empty case

"Really?" Jade asked in a whiny tone

"Usually there's booby traps and stuff when the thing we're after is actually there" Naruto said as this really sucked

"Chans hand over the talisman" Tohru said holding out his hand

"This is why I don't like taking you to places" Jackie said to his son

"You're the one who said you wanted to keep me close because of them" Naruto said as after finding out the Dark Hand wanted him, Jackie's first choice was having him under constant watch but he talked him down when he threatened he'd break out

"I still can't believe you convinced me to take Jade" Jackie said as some thugs tried to rush him but he dodged and knocked them over

"I need someone to keep me entertained and Jade's good company" Naruto said as Jade was great company and his dad wasn't much conversation as he studied

"Thanks for letting me know I'm not speaking of Jade, where is she?" Jackie asked as Jade was nowhere in sight

They were all interrupted when a gentle breeze entered the room followed by a mayan skeleton

'Oh man' Naruto thought as he was stopping himself from laughing as he saw Jade's shoes, he grabbed his father but to all their displeasure Tohru caught on

"Why's he have to be big and smart?" Jade said as they ran out of the pyramid

Tohru came through a wall and saw them "After them!" he said as he went down the stairs

"You really need more training Jade" Naruto said as Jade was lagging a little behind

"Not all of us are track stars" Jade said as when she went to school with Naruto she saw him excel in gym

"Nope but I have an idea" Naruto said sending a look to his dad as they saw a hang glider and ran to it

"Sorry, I'll bring it back, thank you!" Jackie said as they put on helmets and glided away over the the river at the bottom of a cliff

Finn and the others didn't see the drop off and went right over the side falling into the river at the bottom

"You don't think there's sharks, do you?" a henchmen asked him

"No idiot this is a river and also fresh water" Finn said wanting to get out as that hench did say there was mummies in the pyramid

"Don't bull sharks go in freshwater?" Ratso asked in curiosity

"Get out of the water" Finn said nervously not wanting to tempt fate

(2 hours later)

"Told you to do the homework on the plane ride here" Naruto said as Jade was moaning that she had to do it

"Ooh, mariachi" Jade said hearing the band play

"For a girl from China she's very in the know about other cultures" Naruto said to his Uncle

"Aren't you the same?" Jackie asked him as Naruto took in the sights, food, and even cultural themes

Suddenly a teenage boy with a lime green shirt and yellow shorts walked up to them "Hola, I am Paco, what could a charming senorita such as yourself be doing this evening?" he said introducing himself to Jade

"Ah dude no offense appreciate the flirting but I got my eyes on someone else" Jade said looking at Naruto

"Oh no, no, no you misunderstand, you see I am gathering a audience for El Toro Fuerte" Paco said holding up a poster

"The Strong Bull or sometimes Ox" Naruto said translating the man's name 'weird coincidence' he said not liking coincidences as he examined the poster further and looked at the man's head

"Uh, is that what I think it is?" Jade asked pointing to the forehead of the luchador's mask on the poster

"The Ox Talisman" Naruto said as it matched the shape of the rooster talisman

"El Toro Fuerte has never lost a match in his career, I hope to grow up to be just like him someday" Paco said as he was lost in his speech about his hero

"Isn't wrestling fake?" Jade asked either of them

"Not Luchador wrestling, you see Jade in Luchador culture should the man lose he must remove his mask in shame" Naruto said "Wrestling here is pretty legit" he said as he was sure there was real wrestling in the US as a lot of people liked to be legit

"I hope to see you two there" Paco said as he took off

"Great, how are we supposed to get the talisman off his mask?" Jade asked

"Easy one of us has to win" Naruto said as he cracked his arms

"But doesn't Uncle Jackie say that one shouldn't fight for the sake of fighting and stuff like that?" Jade asked

"Yes and it's true but if we don't get the talisman then Valmont and the Dark Hand may try something to get it" Naruto said as the safety of others was his main concern

"And what're you gonna do? He looks like he'd snap you in half" Jade asked him as even though Naruto was ripped the man was three times his size

"This isn't my first rodeo Jade" Naruto said intending for that to be a pun referring to multiple concepts

"I can't believe I'm letting this happen" Jackie said as he and Jade were watching Naruto get into a ring

"This is so cool" Jade said as she saw El Toro get in the ring

"I gotta start planning these things through" Naruto said as he forgot one detail of his plan 'how the hell do I get it of this thing might give him super strength' he thought as that was his best guess as that would explain how the man was undefeated for so long

"I am fighting a child?" El Toro asked as Naruto seemed a little young to him

Naruto delivered a strong punch to his gut "this ninyo has a lot of fight in him" he said with a grin which left his face as El Toro punched him and he went down 'ok need to rethink that whole line of reasoning' he thought as this sucked as his strength vs super strength

Naruto began weaving through El Toro's punches before crouching down to kick El Toro's legs out from underneath him

"I've felt worse but now I know that the Ox talisman grants super strength, though I think that guy is just as strong without it" Naruto said as Jackie helped him up

"Why didn't you do that cool chi thing you did to Tohru?" Jade asked

"1 because I don't know how that happened and 2 because I don't need to cheat to win, I can win on my own" Naruto said as he liked to win on fair terms or cheat when he knew the other was cheating

"But wasn't he cheating with that talisman?" Jade asked

"To be honest I don't think he even knows it's working" Naruto said as he didn't see the talisman glow during their fight

"And perhaps not even that it's on his head" Jackie said to them

"Perhaps he got it sometime ago, as an accessory for his mask. He hasn't even been using it, those punches were all his own" Naruto said as he didn't feel magic

"Well at least he beat you fair and square" Jackie said as he couldn't stand cheaters

"I hope so otherwise I'd kick his ass" Naruto said to him

"We can talk rematch later, we gotta find that El Toro guy again before the Dark Hand show up" Jade said

"Think it's a little late for that" Naruto said as the said mentioned group approached them

"The talisman, now" Tohru said to them

"Why fight Ninos when you could face the ox?" El Toro asked as he saw the men approached them

"Ok well less angry now but these bruised bones still suck" Naruto said as his bones ached in pain

"Give us the mask" Tohru said seeing the talisman

"El Toro Fuerte never removes his mask" El Toro said seriously

"Why does this guy keep talking in the third person?" Finn asked them

"Wrestler dude" Naruto said to him as a lot of wrestlers did that

"Well technically Luchador but eh, wrestling is wrestling" Jade said nonchalantly

"Well El Toro, meet Tohru, Tohru, El Toro-" Finn was saying before Tohru moved him out of the way

Tohru threw a punch but El Toro stopped it effortlessly before he lifted Tohru up and threw him up onto a car demolishing it

"Ok that was definitely talisman" Naruto said as Tohru weighed a lot

"Whoo, go El Toro" Paco said cheering for his hero

"Uh guys, shadowkhan" Jade said looking up at the rooftops

"Great an actual threat" Naruto said as he summoned a few before they receded "c'mon this sucks" he said as he was in too much pain to summon any Khan

Tohru came from behind and knocked him out just as a Shadowkhan threw some cover over El Toro's head removing his mask

"No!" Paco said in worry

"El Toro Fuerte never removes his mask!" El Toro said angrily as he ran for it but they disappeared in the shadows

"Ugh Jackie" Jade said as she got his attention as more shadowkhan appeared

"Nighty night Chan" Tohru said as he knocked Jackie out

"Naruto Jackie" Jade said as the shadowkhan took them

(half hour later)

"Comfey?" Chow asked sarcastically as they had Naruto tied up and restrained and blindfolded for good measure

Naruto managed to free a foot and kicked him in the nuts

"What does it take to keep this kid in place, welding him in place?" Finn asked as they tied his feet up

"Magic may work" Naruto said jokingly

"Well you're stuck so ha" Finn said laughing before Naruto spit in his face

"Ugh I'd take the other Chan over this kid" Chow said as this kid didn't hold back or pulled his punches

"Yeah because he doesn't spit or kick people in the nuts" Finn said as he laughed a little

Suddenly there was a knock on the door to the airplane

"Did you order pizza again, Ratso?" Finn asked as someone was knocking on the plane door

"We're in Mexico, where would you get a pizza?" Tohru said as he went to the door

"It's Ratso he always manages to find some good place to eat" Chow said

Tohru answered the door and got a punch to the gut courtesy of El Toro

"Knock, knock" Jade said as they entered "and here I thought mummies weren't in fashion" she said seeing Naruto tied up

"Hey at least I can talk" Naruto said as Jackie's mouth was covered

"Yeah they didn't restrain your greatest weapon" Jade said jokingly

"Get me out of this dang thing already!" Naruto said as he did not like being tied up

"Okay, geez" Jade said as she tugged at his ropes dodging flying thugs

"Oh shit are we taking off?" Naruto asked as he felt motion

"Yes" Jade said as she looked at them fly off the ground

"Ahhh" Jackie said as he tumbled out the plane

"Oh crap" Naruto said as he grabbed his father's rope "Jade could use some super strength here" he said as she ran to the front of the plane and after a few moments she came back

"It's like listening to Uncle as a animal" Naruto said chuckling a little

"I hope not I prefer actual food to mung beans" the ox said as it glowed and a small light shot at Naruto

(Back to normal)

"Pull me up, pull me up, pull me up!" Jackie said as he was being hit with such strong wind

"Oh right" Naruto said as he gave a strong yank pulling him into the plane

Jackie shouted as he got pulled inside before smacking right into the wall

"Jade catch" Naruto said as he tossed her the talisman and then noticed the plane was descending downward and saw a man slide

"That is the pilot" Tohru said in worry as he wrestled in a battle of strength with El Tohro

"If that's the pilot, then who's flying the plane?!" Jackie said as they ran to they ran to the front to see an empty seat and screamed

'Ok now or never' Naruto thought as he was noticing he had been possessing powers belonging to the talisman's after the rooster and now the ox 'a strong body needs a strong mind and spirit' he thought placing his hands on the planes floor a rooster mark appearing in his eyes for a moment

"Whoa" Jade said as the plane began to slow down and inside it felt like there was no gravity

"Who has the rooster talisman?" Jackie asked as that was the only explanation to how this was happening

"Not us" Jade said to him

"I only picked up on the ox talisman" Tohru said as his talisman finder only picked up on the

"Whoa" Jade said looking into Naruto's eyes seeing them glow

"Our little secret" Naruto said as he strained himself keeping this plane from crashing in Mexico

"Everything's secrets with you, you know that?" Jade asked him with a smirk "but yeah I got your back" she said as they landed/crashed near the city

"The talisman" Tohru said to Jade

"Here you go" Jade said shoving it into his hand

"Thank- wait, this is a cookie!" Tohru said as he ate the cookie

"Gotta love those disguised talisman snacks you make" Jade said to Naruto

"Perfect for confusing idiots" Naruto said with a grin

"Yep later" Jade said to Tohru as she ran out

"Get back here!" Tohru said to her turning around as she went right under her

"Nighty, Night" El Toro said knocking Tohru out with a uppercut

"Wow he really is strong like an ox" Naruto said as he just took down the giant man with one hard punch

"He really is El Toro Fuerte" Paco said seeing his hero

"Well at least it's not in some booby trapped temple" Naruto said as they looked at the snake talisman

"Well we did lose it at a temple" Jade said remembering the giant snake they fought

"Now comes the hard part of dad trying to convince the museum dude to give us it" Naruto said as his father had many great things but negotiating or battering was not something he learned from Uncle

"With our luck, nope" Naruto said as his point was proven when his dad let out a defeated sigh

"Hey if Jackie adopted you why is your name not Chan?" Jade asked finding that curious

"Well technically it is my full name is Naruto Uzumaki-Chan" Naruto said as he could use either for a last name but he been Naruto Uzumaki for so long it felt odd to him but did wear the Chan name proudly

"Oh, well if the museum isn't gonna give us the talisman what're we gonna do, steal it?" Jade asked him

"Maybe sometimes you gotta drop to the bad guys level" Naruto said as his arm tingle a little

"So what's it like having a tattoo?" Jade asked Naruto looking at his good chi tattoo

"Don't know, I've had it all my life apparently it just never showed" Naruto said as Uncle believed it was hidden for some reason but he wondered how he got it and wondered if he had another on the opposing arm

"Think Jackie will get it if he has to steal it?" Jade asked him

"Nope, knowing our luck I'd say someone else will show up and he gets the blame" Naruto said as this museum had a lot of valuables

"I have tons, dad on the other hand, not so much" Naruto said as his Uncle always thought he was cheating

"I swear the security here is atrocious" Naruto said as he and Jade went through the vents

"At least the vents are clean" Jade said as she would be worried and uncomfortable seeing a dead rat

"I know the last time I crawled in a vent I found a dead rat" Naruto said as section 13 needed to have cleaner vents

They finally made it to a downwards vent and Naruto dropped down landing on his feet "Don't worry I'll catch you" he said to Jade as she dropped down landing in his arms

The two walked around before seeing Jackie

"Hey Jackie" Jade said slightly spooking him making him pat his chest over his heart

"Helping you, duh" The two said as they laughed and high fived the other

"I can't believe that fucking worked" Naruto said as he was a little skeptial in thinking his father could pull it off

"That makes two of us" Jade said as she also didn't think it'd work

"Hush, let's get out of here" Jackie said as he had felt he had taken enough stress

Jackie charged but the woman flipped him onto his back

The woman charged and the two clashed hands before Naruto thrusted his hand into her midsection making her slide backwards

"Not bad" the woman said with a grin "got a name?" she said to him

"Viper" Viper said introducing herself seeing no harm telling a thief

"Nice use of Hapkido and Krav Maga but you could use some work here and there" Naruto said as he recognized her fighting styles rather easily

"You know Hapkido and Krav Maga?" Viper asked her interest peaked

"I've traveled all over the world and practically studied every fighting style there is to learn" Naruto said as he readied himself

"Well if you're gonna study something it might as well be something fun" Viper said as it was rare she ever met someone as skilled as him

"You're 20 minutes early" Jackie said as he looked at her

"Excuse me?" Viper asked

"You're not with the Dark Hand?" Jackie asked in confusion

"She's too skilled to work for those idiots plus she was here for something else" Naruto said as he looked at her small bag

"Yeah I'm independent and I was here for the Pink Puma" Viper said as she took off her mask

"It's you, we saw you here earlier just staring at it" Jade said

"Guess I should've been more inconspicuous" Viper said as she was captivated by the jewels beauty

"Let's go cops" Naruto said as museums had a fast response time with the cop

"Uh guys" Jade said as she reached into their sack and pulled out a pink diamond

"Crap!" Naruto said out loud "double crap" he said hearing cops approaching from two directions his eyes gained a picture of an ox "you both need to go" he said to them

"Better it being just me than all of us" Naruto said grabbing his father and Jade throwing them to a high nearby roof

"Naruto wait" Jackie said before he was thrown

"Put your hands in the air" a cop said to them

Vanessa was currently at an airport after rangaling up some artifacts she was currently on her phone looking at valuable items seeing their worth and worth stealing and then found an article of a thief getting caught and as she liked seeing the failures she stopped at a certain line

"Young boy ca-" she was saying before she saw the thief's picture "I never see him yet he's a thief oh the irony" she said as she changed her flight to New York

(next day)

"Tell me where the talisman is" Ratso said angrily as Naruto was playing dumb with him

"Didn't you hear I took the Pink Puma" Naruto said with a smirk as it was fun messing with Ratso

Ratso growled angrily

"Now if you excuse me, my lunch is getting cold" Naruto said with a smirk as Ratso left

"Uzumaki you have another visitor" a guard said getting him midway

"Oh who now, please don't be Uncle" Naruto said as he was glad he had bullet proof as Uncle couldn't reach him...hopefully

"Hello" Vanessa said seeing Naruto sit down

"Hi" Naruto said not knowing who this was

"Hard to believe your straight laced father let this happen" Vanessa said as she was still laughing at the irony

"Jackie never told you, big surprise there" Vanessa said as she never signed her gifts to him "lets just say all those unsigned gifts are from me how's the jacket you grow into it yet" she said to him

"Dad told me a beautiful woman gave that to him" Naruto said as he asked his father that a lot

"Haven't heard him say that since I last held you in my arms" Vanessa said as Jackie caught her one sneaking in to see Naruto as an infant

"I guess you could call me, mom you did once when you were a baby" Vanessa said as she cherished that memory as it brightened up her day

"Uh, we were trying to get the snake talisman when another thief, Viper, showed up and got the pink puma, then we accidentally switched bags, making me have the gem and her having the talisman" Naruto said

"Wow your father tried stealing something I'm impressed" Vanessa said with a chuckle finding that hilarious "also Viper is a great thief perhaps even more skilled than me" she said as Viper was definitely at the top for world's greatest thief

"Well I managed to beat her" Naruto said "Well I guess this could explain my mischievous streaks and my habit for taking things" he said as they laughed

"Yes well at least I hid my life from you unlike your father" Vanessa said as she knew of some of his exploits

"You know he has a picture of you" Naruto said as he found his father looking at something in his wallet often

"Yes I gave him that" Vanessa said as she was a little happy he kept it

"Probably in case Viper comes to get him out, that way she gets her gem" Vanessa said "What is so special about these things anyway also why are these men so interested in Naruto" she asked him

Naruto was keeping himself busy doing many exercises as it was the best thing he could do before he dropped down and used his shirt like a towel

"No honor among thieves" Viper said as she grabbed him and made him invisible as she unlocked the cell

"I'm worried as the Dark Hand will do anything to get that talisman from you, so you have no idea what kinda danger you're in keeping that" Naruto said to her as Shendu would go to the ends of the Earth for the talismans as didn't care who got in his way

"Thanks for the concern" Viper said as they made it outside making them visible

"I'm serious, the Dark Hand isn't your common criminal organization" Naruto said as he then realized they were being followed "like right now" he said activating the talisman making them invisible

"Don't get cocky, they have a artifact that can track the talismans" Naruto said as he was glad Ratso was too dense to use it

"So you ready to go" Viper said as she noticed he was gone "where did he go?" she asked as she didn't let go of the talisman

"Still here" Naruto said as he reappeared before her

"Whoa" Viper said as she squeezed the talisman and turned invisible "there are more of these?" she asked in wonder

"Yeah but not in the way you're thinking" Naruto said knowing she meant that one

"Oh, so ready to go?" Viper asked him

"Aren't you gonna buy me dinner first?" Naruto asked jokingly

"Well I normally like a guy to treat me but sure" Viper said

"What is he doing he can't date a thief" Jackie said in worry

"Isn't that exactly what you're doing?" Jade asked him making Vanessa laugh and for some reason felt very jealous

"Why are we waiting exactly?" Jackie asked her

"Word of advice if you ever set someone up be sure it's in the right setting" Vanessa said to him as she saw Naruto and Viper go to a restaurant with Ratso not far behind

"Basically monetary gain and I like a challenge" Viper said as she always liked the thrill and the rush

Valmont held up the talisman tracker

"Crap" Naruto said as he picked her up and ran outside into an ally and started jumping against opposing walls making it onto the roof

"Eh may wanna speed it speed it up" Viper said seeing the shadowkhan follow them

"You might wanna hold on tight" Naruto said as the symbol for the rooster came to his eyes and he made a giant leap

"Whoa that was cool" Viper said to him

"Yeah" Naruto said as he was searching his pockets as Uncle gave him something for this exact reason "yes" he said holding up a lizard and shot the shadowkhan

"You carry that in your pocket, ew" Viper said wondering why he carried a dead lizard

"Gotta keep counting the seconds" Viper said as on the off chance an alarm went off for reasons like what Jackie did she wanted to know how long she had

"Wouldn't be so bad" Viper said thinking it'd be a good compromise

"How the heck does a talisman get stuck to a tortoise's shell?" Naruto asked as the talismans were centuries old the tortoise couldn't be that old despite being nearly extinct

"I can't believe our project lead us to it" Jade said to him in surprise and wondered how the tortoise never activated it

"I think the irony is here is screaming I mean turtle faster than a rabbit" Naruto said reminded of the old tale of the tortoise and the hare

"Yeah, you got a point" Jade said laughing as Jackie told her that story earlier

"Hope he doesn't get scared" Naruto said as the snake symbol appeared and he entered the habitat

"So how's it feel having those powers?" Jade asked him looking like she was talking herself

"Alright" Naruto said as he knew what came next as he touched the talisman

"Hello" a rabbit moving at breakneck speed and stopping to hop around and move to him normally "speed is nothing without control" it said as stood before him

"Power is only as good if I know how to control it right" Naruto asked as Uncle had been telling him he had great power from his tattoo and that he'd grow stronger

"Yes and like the story suggests one must not get cocky or over confident with their power" the rabbit said to him

"I won't" Naruto said as he knew he wasn't invincible and knew there would always be someone stronger than him "but I will be ready" he said to the rabbit

"Good" the rabbit said as he glowed and vanished but not before a piece of energy shot from him to Naruto

(Back in the real world)

"Come on out, you stupid!" Naruto said as he tried to get the talisman out of the tortoise's shell

"Careful don't hurt Aesop" Jade said in worry for the tortoise

"I wanna know how this ended on him" Naruto said as a tortoise shell was had and it had to have been painful for him to get it fused to his shell

They were a little startled when an explosion was heard

"Why not use the door?" Jade asked as that seemed like overkill

"Call Jackie" Naruto said as his eyes went from the snake to ox "oh shit" he said as he was now visible "guess I can only use one at a time" he said as he never tried using two powers at a time

"Get the animal and the boy" Tohru said to them

"Bring it" Naruto said as he had super strength at the ready "Jade hit the deck" he said his eyes going from ox to rabbit running to her ducking for cover as they fired guns

"How's the kid going so fast? He doesn't have the talisman" Finn asked seeing it still on the turtle

"No idea" Chow said as he fired at him

"Since when do they use guns?" Jade asked as they usually used more high tech stuff like the lightning swords

"No clue" Naruto said as he didn't know if he was fast enough to dodge bullets "Now this time, actually stay put" he said seriously

"Got it" Jade said as she didn't want to get shot

"You seriously didn't see the holes in the wall?" Naruto asked him incredulously wondering how his dad was so blind to obvious

"Kid's mom's Lara Croft" Chow said chuckling before she cracked her whip and even though Chow was unhurt his glasses cracked down the middle "oh shit" he said running away

"More like Indiana Jones with Laura Croft," Vanessa said, getting looks from Naruto, Jade, and Jackie "what I can't be a fan?" she said to them

"We can take her" Finn said taking out his sword

"Don't be foolish" Tohru said as he took out a few canisters that expelled smoke

"Everyone hold your breath" Vanessa said as she didn't know what this gas would do

Naruto growls seeing his mother dropping 'damn it with this knockout gas shit' he thought still holding his breath but saw his dad and soon Jade fall 'fuck' he thought as he fell victim to the gas

"Gather them up bring the mother she may have answers" Tohru said as he had intentions of throwing Jackie to the sharks

(Some time later)

"I swear, do you idiots get off on drugging kids?" Naruto said as he was once again being drugged

"Came from the dragon himself it's suppose to prevent a person from accessing their chi for a while" Chow said as Valmont added in a few tranquilizers for good measure

"Allow me" Tohru said as he bit down on the talisman and yanked it out of Aesop the tortoise's shell

"Geez" Naruto said as that was certainly a new one

"Yo big V we got the talisman and the kid and as an added bonus his mother, and a team mascot" Finn said proudly

"You have the tortoise?" Valmont asked finding that peculiar

"We couldn't exactly get it out with Chan and company so we just took the whole thing" Finn said to him as they didn't have a lot of time

"Bring me the boy" Shendu said over the live feed

"Prepare for a detour, I know someone who would pay handsomely for our endangered friend" Valmont said as he needed some income profits for all these talisman endeavors

"That's why you're the boss, V, oh getting another call" Finn said as he answered the phone "Yo Ratso" he said as he listened to him needing to be picked up "listen go to the docks we'll meet you there" he said to him as that was the meeting location

(Few hours later)

"Hey buddy it'll be ok" Naruto said as Tohru carried Aesop outside

"Why tell it lies?" Tohru said as he knew this man and he wasn't his type of person to deal with as the man was too creepy and excited for animals

"Because they're not lies" Naruto said

A boat arrived a man walked off "Gentlemen"

"Are you Karl Niver?" Finn asked him

"Nivor, Dr. Karl Nivor, in the flesh" Karl said as he gave a small bow

"Any ideas to get us out?" Naruto asked his mom as his powers were still acting haywire

"Yep" Vanessa said as she broke through the ropes

"Care to stay for dinner?" Karl asked as his chef Boris gave Tohru the money

"No thank you" Tohru said as feeling a little uncomfortable

"Really, we're having quite the delicacy, you almost could say it's endangered… Turtle Soup" Karl said as his mouth watered

Tohru backed off a bit feeling creeped out

"Are you sure, my personal chef Boris is a maestro in the kitchen" Karl said

"Y-yes, I-I uh, we must deliver this to Valmont" Tohru said holding the rabbit talisman wanting to get as far from this man as humanly possible

"Fuck you you disgusting piece of shit" Naruto said as he exited the ship

"Doesn't this kid know when to give up?" Finn said in surprise

"Yeah, never" Naruto said as he stood strong "magic or no your asses are getting kicked" he said to them

"All I see is a bunch of people I'd very much like to pound some bruises into" Naruto said as he hated when animals were abused and killed without purpose and he saw this man buying the tortoise just to see how it tasted not purposeful

"And count again, asshole" Vanessa said as she finally found her whip

"Better check again" Jackie said as he appeared

"And then a third time" Jade said as she revealed herself

"Alright a family affair of ass kicking" Naruto said in excitement

Tohru ran right at him and as he did he began to slip on the oil but as he slid Naruto stretched out his hand Tohru running right into his fist allowing him to make the large man fall allowing him to steal the talisman and make Tohru slip right into the other enforcers and Karl

"Strike!" Naruto said as that was a nice hit

"Now let's get Aesop home" Jade said as Naruto picked him up

"This is the chillest tortoise ever" Naruto said as this tortoise was very zen

"Bet he and Uncle could be good friends" Jackie said chuckling at the thought wondering how the quick tempered old man would deal with the tortoise

"I think this big guy could out zen Uncle" Jade said as she petted the tortoise

"Ugh" Vanessa said as black clad ninjas appeared and took the Dark Hand leaving Karl

"Well at least we got this moron" Naruto said as he hated these people

Aesop made a sound as if agreeing with him

"Oh now you make a sound" Naruto said chuckling

"Impressive" Vanessa said seeing section 13

"Thank you" Black said to her sounding pleased "bout time you found yourself a girlfriend Jackie" he said congratulating him

When everyone raced in they found Naruto staring at a blue human-tiger like Shadowkhan

"What the hell?" Jade asked no one in particular

"I tried summoning a Khan but instead of the regular raccoon ones or just normal I got a tiger with two tails" Naruto said as he did see a tail when his shadowkhan first got a new look

"Hey wasn't there a myth about a two tailed blue tiger?" Jade asked him

"A nekomata I believe" Jackie said as he did know some of Japan's lores

When Black waved his hand in it's face it swiped a claw covered in blue flames at him making him back off

"Whoa so not only are these different Khan they have different powers too, cool" Naruto said as he wondered what else they could do

"First a Tanuki and now a Nekomata? What's next, a turtle?" Jackie asked as he assumed the raccoon appearances from the first kind were a tanuki due to the nekomata shadowkhan

"Why do these Khan look like those tailed beasts you always talk about?" Jade asked as it was kinda odd
