1. Chapter 1

You know there are times in life that one has to wonder whether karma exists. For me, it is just a convenient way to explain away my misfortunes. If doing a good deed does not inconvenience me in anyways I would usually do it and I generally tend to avoid doing anything that is thought of as bad. so, in other words I'm your normal completely average human of the 21st century.

So, this brings us to the question of just how bad is my karma for me to end up in this fucked up situation. Honestly waking up in an alleyway is a bad way to start the morning it's worse when you don't recognize the alleyway the street or the city you are in. so as soon as I woke up realized I'm in a place I don't know I tried to find out where I am

And this brings us to this point of time where I stand still in that alleyway but now with a newspaper, I scrounged up from the dumpster anyone who passed by would ask what is so fascinating about this outdated throwaway newspaper. Well, the name of the city on it for one.

Cause I'm pretty sure Brockton bay is a fictional city in a very awesome to read but very shitty to live in novel.

first time to see what I got even with the gamer ability surviving the bay will be hard so I need to lay low and grind till I become op and to begin my journey to opness I shall first open the status screen

Seeing my full name fills me up with nostalgia it reminds me of the times I used to complain to my dad about it. for you see my first name was picked by my mother who sadly passed away when I was born I never actually got to meet her but my dad told me she called me Lucien because the name meant light in French or something and I was her light it was all good and all but my mom passed away without giving me a middle name and left me in the hands of a proud but grieving father who also just happens to be star wars fan.

So according to my dad his thought process that day was Lucien sounds like Luke and it means light which obviously refers to the light side and our last name is walker so taking all this it is obvious what must be done my son I pronounce thee Lucien Skye walker the reincarnation of Luke Skywalker.

He later did admit that he was slightly drunk that day. my dad for all his faults was a brilliant man and it was one of the worst times of my life when he died.

So, from what I understand I'm in worm more specifically an alleyway in Brockton bay

I most likely do not have any identity in this world

I have a shitty version of the gamer ability

The gamer does not have a hp bar this is further emphasized with the lack of gamer body meaning I can be injured and resting will not be a cure-all for me

The gamer mind is not there so my minds not protected and I would be facing the full force of this horrifying dimension full on my emotional state is going to be FUBAR

There is no experience bar or a level so I most likely would not be able to get stronger by leveling up

So essentially, I'm fucked

The only good thing about this ability is the skills from what I can tell some of the active effects of these skills could be great that is if I could use them for more than a few minutes

Hold on wait I might not be able to Lvl up but if I'm correct I remember that I got a point in intelligence earlier so could it be that originally my intelligence was at 6 but became 7

So, could it mean that I can train my stats

So, from what I can tell my gamer ability has been nerfed. I would have to grind like hell to survive here.

And it seems that my skills from the past 18 years of my life would come in handy although its mainly knowledge-based skills, I'm pretty sure anyone going through modern society would have those

As for running and stealth, those were probably from the time, I had to hide from the idiots I pissed off

And the acting and deception skill is probably from my part-time jobs as an extra performer

Funny story that I was just walking home one day when this guy just popped up and asked me if I had some time turns out he needed a relatively good-looking young man to act a role and I was looking for some cash one thing lead to another and I was an extra performer one of those guys you would see in the background in a movie. That kind of got me hooked on acting so I started practicing and I kind of formed a connection with the guy who first asked me to act so whenever he had a role that would fit me, he would usually check if I'm available most of it was just as a background performer but I did one or two roles that had actual lines it was awesome

Now then standing up from my spot on the floor of the ever-welcoming alleyway I picked up the newspaper to check the date

With a determined heart I stepped out of my previous alleyway and mingled into the crowd of people and as I walked by, I check the date on the phone of a teenager passing by a glimpse was enough for me to catch that my speculation was correct today was February 7th.
