Book Three: Fire
Chapter 9: Sleepless Nightmare
In a grassy terrain of an island koala sheep are sleeping as Aang, Lucy, Natsu, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Katara, Toph, Jiba, and Sokka come out of the bushes and Sokka looks at his map as everyone looks around.
"Here we are, everyone. This is our rendezvous point for the invasion force." Erza said.
"Looks grassy." Gray said.
"How'd you pick this place?" Toph asked.
"Before we split up, my dad, Erza, and I found this island on the map. It's uninhabited and the harbors surrounded by cliffs seem like the perfect secluded place." Sokka said.
"Nice choice, guys." Katara said.
"And we're four days behind schedule!" Natsu said raising his fist.
"Wait! FOUR days?! The invasion is in FOUR days?!" Aang asked anxious.
"Aang, it's four days from now. Just calm down and..." Lucy stops talking as Sokka falls alseep. "Do what Ponytail's doing." Lucy said.
"They have the right idea, Aang. We're here and we're ready." Katara said.
"And we'll need as much rest as we can to get ready for the invasion." Wendy said.
"I guess." Aang said.
Later everyone is alseep while Aang lies down and then closes his eyes and everything turns black.
A Fire Nation insignia appears on a door which bursts open revealing Aang who has large hair and wearing a headband and a yellow jump suit entering the room while making dramatic gestures and then jumps on a rock tower surrounded by broken pillars.
"Your days of tyranny are over, Fire Lord! I'm bringing you down!" Aang said making ninja like poses and confronts Fire Lord Ozai who is eating grapes and is actually a giant while surrounded by flames.
"Oh, really? How do you plan on doing that when you're not even wearing pants?" Ozai asked.
Aang looks down to see he's in his underwear.
"Oh, no!" Aang screamed while covering himself with a white Air Nomad shield as giant eyes appear all around him while Ozai laughs at the Avatar who backs away to the doors as Ozai raises his hands to the ceiling while still laughing.
Aang opens his eyes and wakes up touching his pants while Momo also wakes up.
"It was just a dream, Momo. I still have my pants." Aang said standing up. "I better start training." Aang said walking to a bush and starts kicking it while Momo goes back to sleep.
Meanwhile at the Fire Royal Palace in Zuko's chamber Zuko gets dressed with help from his servants.
"Fresh fruit, Prince Zuko?" One of the servants asked and Zuko raises his hand and shakes his head.
"May I wash your feet, sir?" Another servant asked and Zuko shakes his head again.
"Head massage?" Another servant asked and Zuko shakes his head again.
"Hot towel?" Another servant asked and Zuko takes the towel and wipes it on his forehead.
Zuko leaves his room and goes for the palace gates as Fire Nation citizens wait for him and a woman gets over excited but gets taken away by guards.
"Prince Zuko, is something wrong? You didn't take the palanquin." A servant said.
"I'm just going to Mai's house. It's not that far." Zuko said.
"It's not a prince's place to walk anywhere, sir." The servant said and Zuko walks to the palanquin and the servants pick it up go to Mai's house while Zuko lifts the curtain to see Mai who waves at the prince.
Meanwhile Aang is still training and he's now banging his fists against a tree which wakes up everyone and Lucy and Katara look at Sokka and Natsu who shrug and so the girls walk to the Avatar.
"Uh, how long have you been up?" Lucy asked.
"A couple of hours. I got a lot more skills to refine if I'm gonna fight Ozai." Aang said stopping and panting.
"You know there's this thing called over-training." Katara said.
"Yeah and Lucy did it with her sword training." Gray said but Lucy uses her tome to cast a lightning spell shocking the Ice Mage.
"Stop trying to piss off Lucy, Ice Prick!" Natsu yelled.
"Shut up, Ash-for-Brains!" Gray yelled back but Lucy uses her tome to have two pixies bombard the two to shut them up.
Aang hits the tree which sends a vibrartion through his body making him fall to the ground while all leaves of the tree fall on him.
"Aang, you need to stop and take a break. You're clearly overreacting about this." Lucy said.
"Lucy's right. What if you'll hurt yourself?" Wendy asked.
"You don't get it, do you? My form is bad. I'm sloppy. I don't even know any Firebending, not even the basics." Aang said as hi eye twitches.
"Aang, in case you forgot, I haven't even figured out my third element and you don't see me freaking out about the invasion." Lucy said.
"Besides, the eclipse will block off Firebending so you won't need to learn it. Plus, it's a stupid element." Sokka said but Natsu delivers a flame kick at Sokka knocking him to the ground.
"I'll show you stupid!" Natsu yelled lighting his hands with fire making Sokka scream and runs away while Natsu shoots fireballs at the warrior and chases after him.
"What Sokka means is that you shouldn't worry about over working yourself." Erza said.
"But I still have to work on everything else. I better spend the whole day training." Aang said bowing to everyone and then rides off on an air scooter.
"How long do you bet he's gonna tucker himself out?" Gray asked.
"Sooner than you think." Lucy said.
"Aye." Happy said.
Later the sky is starry night and Aang comes back tired while everyone else is asleep and Aang rubs his eye and yawns.
"Good night, Lucy. Good night, Natsu. Good night, Erza. Good night, Wendy. Good night, Gray. Good night, Sokka. Good night, Katara. Good night, Toph. Good night, Happy. Goo..." Aang was cut off.
"SHUT THE HELL UP AND GO TO BED ALREADY!" Jiba shouted.
"Thank you!" Toph said.
Aang closes his eyes and goes to sleep.
Aang comes bursting through the doors again like in the last dream and he's now wearing a yellow tunic that covers his mouth, white pants, boots, sleeves with blue arrows, and his chest is wrapped in chains and he also has sideburns while his hair is longer and standing straight and also wearing a headband and small metal rings as smoke appears and Aang jumps to the same pillar to confront Ozai again.
"Your days of tyranny are over, Fire Lord! I'm bringing you down! This time, I brought pants!" Aang said and Ozai appears.
"So it seems, but are you prepared for...your mathematics test?" Ozai asked as a giant abacus lands behind Aang.
"Math test? Oh, no! I forgot about my math test!" Aang said as Ozai laughs again while Aang screams and is being pulled back and crushed by the beads of the abacus.
Aang wakes up again and pants.
"I gotta get ready." Aang said as he walks off.
Lucy and Katara find Aang pacing around the koala sheep.
"Aang, it's the middle of the damn night. Go back to sleep." Lucy said mildly annoyed.
"But I forgot my pants and my math test." Aang said still pacing.
The girls sigh and Katara places her hand on Aang's shoulder.
"Aang, please. Go to sleep, for mw." Katara said and Aang rubs his eye and bows to the girls and they return to their rest sight.
Meanwhile at the Royal Palace in Zuko's room Zuko and Mai are relaxing on a couch.
"Tell me, if you could have anything you want right now, what would it be?" Zuko asked.
"A big fancy fruit tart with rose petals on top." Mai said.
"You know, being a prince and all, I MIGHT just be able to make that happen." Zuko said.
"That would be impressive." Mai said.
"Do you think you could find a fresh tart for the lady with rose petals on top?" Zuko asked the servant.
"Excellent choice, sir." The servant said bowing and leaving.
"I guess there's some nice perks that come with being royalty. Though there's some annoying stuff too, like that all day war meeting coming up." Mai said.
"War meeting? What are you talking about?" Zuko asked.
"Azula mentioned something. I assumed you were going too." Mai said.
"I guess I wasn't invited." Zuko said.
Maenwhile at the island Aang is still sleeping.
"Wake up, Aang. Wake up, sleepy head." A voice said as Aang wakes up. "Rise and shine. You overslept." The voice said revealing to be Ozai. "You missed the invasion." Ozai said while laughing and riding on a flying hippo cow which breathes fire at Aang who moves but Ozai keeps laughing while flying away on his hippo cow.
Aang wakes up again and goes to Sokka.
"Sokka! Get up! I need to know what day it is!" Aang said.
"Huh? Who's talking?" Sokka asked as he grabs his sword and jumps up but hits his head on a nearby rock.
"Aang, it's two days before the invasion." Erza said.
"You seriously need to chill the hell out!" Jiba said.
"Seriously." Toph said.
"Sokka, you've gotta do your drill rock climbing exercises." Aang said.
"What?" Sokka asked.
"In one of my dreams, you were from Fire Nation soldiers, trying to climb this cliff, but you were too slow and they got you!" Aang said.
"But that was just a dream. I'm a great climber." Sokka said.
"Then climb that cliff and climb it fast!" Aang said pointing at a nearby cliff.
Sokka looks at the cliff and then back at Aang who nods and Sokka sighs and goes for the cliff.
"Tch, I can climb fast!" Sokka said as he starts climbing the cliff but climbing up slowly.
Aang sees Toph about to drink water.
"Don't drink it!" Aang yelled making Sokka fall and Toph spits the water at Katara who Waterbends the water off her.
"Why? Is it poisoned?" Toph asked.
"In my dream, we were right in the middle of the invasion and you had to stop and use the bathroom! We died because of your tiny bladder!" Aang said and turns to Katara. "Katara, you need to get your hair up. In my dream, your hair got caught in a train and..." Aang was cut off as Lucy uses her tome to summon a vine to wrap the Airbender.
"Aang, I know you're trying to help, but you need to calm the hell down!" Lucy said.
"Luce is right, man. You're goin' nuts." Natsu said.
"Yeah, I guess I am losing my mind." Aang said as Sokka is still trying to climb the cliff but slides down.
The group are with Aang whose eyes are twitching and paces around stressed.
"It's like every time I think about how stressed I am, I just end up more stressed. I'm like a big growing snowball of nerves." Aang said.
"Yeah and we get why. You and Lucy are gonna be fighting the Fire Lord." Gray said.
"Easily, the most baddest guy on the planet. You better win or we're done for." Sokka said but Lucy uses her tome to create a vine which smacks Sokka's face.
"How is this helping him?!" Erza demanded.
"Well, it's true. That's kinda the deal." Gray said but Lucy uses her tome to create lightning shocking the Ice Mage. "You know, ever since you came back, you've been..." Gray was cut off as Lucy summons pixies to bombard him while Natsu laughs at Gray's harrassment.
"We need to find a way to help him calm down." Wendy said.
"I think I have just the thing! Get ready to be de-stressified." Katara said.
Aang and Katara are in a mountain with streaming water doing yoga.
"These yoga stretches can really work wonders if you do them in extreme heat. Reach UP. Reach for the sun. Feel your chi paths clearing. Now close your eyes. How are you feeling?" Katara asked.
"I feel...really warm..." Aang said sweating.
"Good, good. Go on." Katara said.
"Well, it's like this warm feeling all around me. This heat... Like in the Fire Lord's palace and he's shooting a bunch of fireballs and the whole world's being engulfed in flames!" Aang said as flames appear and he breaks his position and pants.
"Maybe your stress is the kind you need to TALK out." Katara said.
Later Sokka who is now in his Wang Fire's attire is sitting beside Aang who is laying on a koala sheep.
"Now, why don't you get right down to business and tell me what's been bothering you." Sokka said in his Wang Fire voice.
"You KNOW what's bothering me. I have to fight the Fire Lord in a few days." Aang said.
"Tell me more about this 'Fire Lord'. Why are you afraid of him?" Sokka asked.
"You said it yourself. He's the baddest guy on the planet. Lucy and I have to defeat him and save the world." Aang said.
"Life does feel that sometimes, doesn't it? Like we're all trying to save the world from evil." Sokka said.
"Okay, but what can I do to feel better?" Aang asked.
"Want to try screaming into this pillow?" Sokka asked offering a small koala sheep.
Aang takes it and the koala sheep makes noise at him and Sokka nods giving a thumbs up but Aang shakes his head and Sokka nods faster and Aang shakes his head again faster.
Meanwhile at the Royal Palace in a chamber Azula is having her spa and getting her hair done and Zuko arrives.
"Hello, Zuzu. If you've come for a royal hair-combing, you'll have to wait." Azula said.
"So I guess there's a big war meeting coming up, huh? Apparently, I'm not welcome there." Zuko said.
"What are you talking? Of course you're welcome there." Azula said.
"Oh, really? I guess that's why no one bothered to tell me about it." Zuko said.
"Oh, Zuko, don't be so dramatic. I'm certain Dad wants you there. You probably just weren't invited because it's so OBVIOUS you're supposed to be there." Azula said.
"Were you invited?" Zuko asked.
"Of course. I'm the princess." Azula said.
"And I'm the prince." Zuko said.
"Exactly. So, stop acting like a paranoid child and just go to the meeting." Azula said.
"Forget it. I'm not going." Zuko said leaving.
Back at the island Aang is laying on some pillars.
"What you need is a good old-fashioned back pounding to relieve your stress." Toph said.
"Pound away." Aang said and Toph stomps causing pillars to move up and down in various order causing Aang pain. "Ow... Toph... I think...this...is...bruising...me...!" Aang said.
"Oops. I forgot he has baby skin." Toph said.
"Worked for me when I'm pissed." Jiba said.
"Well, there's one other thing we can try." Toph said as Jiba gets a boar-q-pine.
"Acupuncture!" Jiba said as the boar-q-pine's quills stick out making Aang run away.
Later Aang finds Lucy sitting on a rock and uses her tome to cast a spell making a plant monster appear which bites many Ozai figures and then casts another spell to conjure pixies and lightning to attack other Ozai figures and then turns to figures of Luke and uses Waterbending and Airbending as well as using her sword's light magic to destroy the figures.
"Hi, Lucy." Aang said.
"What is it, Aang? I'm busy." Lucy said still training.
"How are you not freaked out about fighting the Fire Lord? You know the invasion day is close and you just came back to our side. Aren't you worried one bit?" Aang asked making Lucy stop.
"Look, Aang, I'm kind of worried myself, but as long as I'm focused and ready, I'm not scared of some stupid Firebending tyrant. Besides, after losing to Luke and being humiliated by him, I'm working to let go of my fear and focus on taking out the enemies." Lucy said.
"I envy you..." Aang said.
"Hmm, I guess I might help you." Lucy said.
Later Aang is standing face-to-face against Natsu as Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Wendy watch.
"So, we meet at last, Avatar! Prepare to feel the wrath of my FIRE!" Natsu yelled pretending to be Ozai and breathing fire scaring Aang.
"Is this really gonna help him?" Gray asked.
"You have a better idea, Frost brain?" Lucy asked back.
"No..." Gray said.
"Fire Lord... Your days of tyranny are over...!" Aang said standing ready to fight but shaking.
"Hahaha! Your time is over!" Natsu yelled shooting fireballs at Aang who dodges on his air scooter but Natsu keeps shooting fireballs at the Airbender. "C'mon, Avatar! FACE ME!" Natsu shouted breathing fire at Aang who tries to get away.
"Natsu, go easy on him!" Happy yelled.
"Don't hurt him!" Lucy yelled.
Aang keeps trying to get away from Natsu who keeps shooting fireballs at the Airbender but as Aang keeps dodging he loses focus and trips as Natsu creates a big stream of flames at Aang who cowers in fear bracing what will happen as flame goes for him but Lucy quickly gets in the way and uses her tome to create a mirror to block off the flame.
"Natsu, you idiot! We're TRYING to help him face his fear! WERE YOU GOING TO KILL HIM?!" Lucy shouted.
"Sorry, Luce... I got caught up in the moment..." Natsu said sheepishly.
"Yeah, TOO caught up." Happy said.
"Oh, whatever." Natsu said.
"Aang, I'm sorry. I didn't think this through." Lucy said.
"You were trying to help. Thanks." Aang said.
"Guess Lucy's not right about everything." Gray said but Erza smacks him and Lucy conjures a plant monster to eat Gray. "Oh, come on!" Gray said while being eaten.
Meanwhile at the Royal Palace in Zuko's room Zuko looks out the window.
"Zuko, it's just a dumb meeting. Who cares?" Mai asked.
"I don't." Zuko said.
"Good. You shouldn't. Why would you even WANT to go? Just think of how things went the last meeting you went to." Mai said and Zuko sighs.
"I know." Zuko said.
"You know what will make you feel better? Ordering some servants around. I might be hungry for a whole TRAY of fruit tarts and maybe a palanquin ride around town. Double time." Mai suggested but Zuko looks away.
Back at the island Aang is talking to his friends.
"Thanks for everything, guys." Aang said.
"So, do you feel less stressed?" Wendy asked.
"Ready for a good night's sleep?" Katara asked.
"Uh, I kinda think I sorta might slightly feel better...maybe." Aang said.
"Then our work is done." Gray said.
"Good night everyone." Sokka said as they go to sleep and Aang does the same.
A thunderstorm occurs as Aang is riding on Appa and they fly by a giant Momo who tries hitting them down and grabs with his hands and then the dream shifts to the Royal Palace where Aang emerges from water and is pushed to the palace while looking around waiting for something to happen and sees Topha rotating around as her bangs move and has blank white eyes and falls to the ground scaring Aang while Sokka is running away but wet earth covers him and Katara is surrounded by fire while Natsu, Gray, Erza, and Wendy are dead while Lucy is being destroyed by Luke and Aang tries to help his friends only for be frozen in ice as Ozai who is now a fire monster laughs and melts the ice making the Avatar fall into some water and sinks as he finds Zuko standing above him and then the comet comes flying by while Momo shushes someone and Aang is on grass while watching mountains and bushes burning.
Aang wakes up screaming waking everyone up causing Appa to be scared while Happy jumps up.
"AAHHHH!" Happy screamed.
"Here we go again..." Carla said.
"What happened, Aang?" Katara asked.
"Nightmares again?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah and they just keep getting worse and worse." Aang said.
"Something must be done." Erza said.
"Looks like it's time for another..." Sokka was cut off.
"NO therapy sessions!" Lucy yelled.
"Nothing helps. There's only one thing I can do." Aang said.
"And what's that? Stay up all night?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah, pretty much. I'm gonna stay awake through the whole invasion." Aang said shocking everyone except Toph and Jiba who smile.
"Aang, that is the most insane thing you have ever said." Lucy said.
"Sorry, but it's the only way." Aang said.
"Oh, boy..." Happy said.
The next day Lucy and Katara are having a Waterbending spar but they find Aang pacing behind them.
"Invasion. All aboard for the invasion." Aang said.
"You don't look so good." Katara said.
"Can't you just take a little nap? Just once?" Lucy asked.
"No, I can't go back to sleep." Aang said.
"Aang, staying up all night can't be good for you." Katara said.
"Actually, staying up all night has given me some time to think. I've realized big things." Aang said.
"What big things?" Katara asked.
"I see everything clearly now. What really matters. Why I'm doing this. I'm doing it to save the world, but more than that.I'm doing it for the people I love. I'm doing it for you, Katara." Aang said.
"Aang, what are you saying?" Katara asked.
"I'm saying, I love you, Katara." Aang said kissing Katara who kisses him back.
"What are we doing?" Katara asked.
"What our hearts have been telling us to do for a long long time ago, baby!" Aang said as he moves Katara down to his side. "You're my forever girl!" Aang said.
"Aang!" Lucy said snapping Aang back to reality and Katara is standing next to Lucy. "I was saying you need to take a nap." Lucy said.
"Oh, uh, I guess I was drifted into a daydream." Aang said.
"What was your dream about?" Katara asked.
"Uh, living underwater?" Aang said.
"Sounds great!" Katara said.
"Just get some rest." Lucy said as they walk away and Aang chuckles.
Meanwhile at Mai's house Mai is making tea but as she's about to offer Zuko a cup someone arrives and it's a servant.
"Prince Zuko, everyone's waiting for you." The servant said making the two look at each other.
"What?" Zuko asked.
"The high admirals, the high generals, war ministers, and the princess have all arrived. You're the only person missing." The servant said.
"So, my dad WANTS me to join the meeting?" Zuko asked.
"The Fire Lord said he would not start until you arrived, sir." The servant said and Zuko smiles at Mai who smiles back.
Back at the island Aang who is now in his Fire Nation uniform is hiding in the bushes and then jumps out and rolls behind a rock and comes out.
"Put 'em up, Fire Lord!" Aang said and fires air blasts at the noodle picture of Ozai tied to a tree only for the blast to hit Sokka who is working on a golden arrow.
"Hey, I'm tryin' to build Appa some armor so he doesn't have to go into the invasion naked. He's YOUR bison." Sokka said.
"Ozai's defense is impeccable. I'll have to try a different approach." Aang said and fires more air blasts but misses and lands on his feet only for a leaf to fall. "You think you're untouchable, don't you, Mister Fire Lord?" Aang asked.
"Boy, you're really starting to lose it, kid." A voice said and Aang turns to see Momo.
"Momo, did you hear something?" Aang asked.
"No, but I said something. You, my friend, are just a few plums short of a fruit pie." Momo said making Aang shake his head and sees Momo chitter again.
"That's more like it. I'm so tired for a second there, I imagine you were talking to me." Aang said and Momo tilts his head in confusion. "Momo, let me explain." Aang begins chittering to Momo while everyone watches.
"Okay, THIS has got to stop!" Lucy said walking to the Avatar who is chittering to Momo. "Aang, we need to talk." Lucy said.
"We're starting to get a little worried about you." Katara said.
"You've been awake too long." Sokka said.
"You're too paranoid." Gray said.
"This isn't good for you." Natsu said.
"We understand your plight, but this needs too end." Erza said.
"Please, we can't bear to see you like this anymore." Wendy said.
"You're acting downright weird." Toph said.
"Or stupid, either one." Jiba said.
"You really need to help us help you." Happy said.
"You've got to take better care of yourself. You can't go on like this." Appa said.
"Look, I appreciate what you guys are saying, but the stress and the nightmares. They were just too much." Aang said.
"I know, but staying awake is not the way to go." Lucy said.
"You must rest, Aang." Appa said.
"Hey! Leave the kid alone!" Momo yelled.
"Who asked YOU?!" Appa demanded.
"Guys, come on!" Aang said trying to calm the tension.
"No! I'm sick of this guy always mouthing me and telling me what to do!" Appa said.
"Oh, you don't like it? Let's go right now!" Momo said.
"Happy, what should we do?" Aang asked.
"About what?" Happy asked confused.
"That!" Aang said pointing at Momo who is now wearing a purple samurai outfit with fur between his ears tied to a topknot while Appa is now wearing a dark red and dark orange armor and helmet and carrying three swords and Momo takes out a sword of his own and the two charge at each other.
As the two are fighting koala sheep are cheering for them.
"Appa! Appa! Appa!" A group of koala sheep cheer.
"Momo! Momo! Momo!" The opposing group of koala sheep cheer.
Appa and Momo continue their fight but then someone attacks the two and it's Grace who is wearing a pink kimono and carrying sais.
"You fools! I am the strongest warrior alive!" Grace yelled attacking the two.
"Guys, come on! Stop!" Aang said.
Just then Guru Pathik appears on a cloud while having six arms and holding two cups of onion and banana juice while playing a veena.
"Chakras, chakras, everybody loves chakras! Chakras, chakras, chakras sandwich tastes good! Yum!" Guru Pathik said.
Appa, Momo, and Grace continue fighting while the koala sheep cheer the three on while Aang sweats and sees rocks in snake like formation sliding around him while thre tree with Ozai's picture begins dancing and rings of rocks surround Aang and Appa, Momo, and Grace continue their fight making Aang scream.
"I need to jump in a cold waterfall!" Aang said running away.
"For love of the Celestial King..." Lucy said shaking her head following him.
Meanwhile at the Royal Palace in the halls Mai is waiting for the meeting to be over and sees Zuko leaving the room.
"So, how'd it go?" Mai asked.
"When I got to the meeting, everyone welcomed me. My father saved a seat for me and he wanted me to sit next to him. I was LITERALLY at his right hand." Zuko said.
"Zuko, that's wonderful! You must be happy." Mai said and they stop at a picture of Ozai.
"During the meeting, I was the perfect prince. The son my father wanted, but it wasn't me..." Zuko said hanging his head down.
Back at the island it's nighttime and Lucy escorts Aang back to their rest sight where they find mist of fog surrounding koala sheep wool.
"Oh, look, another hallucination. An imaginary bed made of clouds." Aang said.
"It's NOT a hallucination! It's all real." Lucy said addressing the group.
"We spent HOURS working on it." Toph said.
"We made this for you so you can have your good night sleep." Erza said.
"It should get rid of that crazy." Sokka said.
"Look, you guys keep telling me that I need sleep, but I can't! The invasion's tomorrow!" Aang said.
"Aang..." Katara was cut off.
"No, Katara! There's still SO much I haven't learned. I need sleep. I NEED practice. Quick, hit me!" Aang said and Lucy delivers a whack at Aang's head with her spellbook shocking everyone except Toph and Jiba.
"Listen to me and listen to me good, Air head! Ever since we met, you've been training your arrow off for this and guess what, so have I. I've seen your progress. You're smart, brave, and strong." Lucy said.
"You think so?" Aang asked.
"Of course I do! I'm not the only one." Lucy said.
"We know you can do this, Aang." Katara said.
"You can do it. You're ready." Sokka said.
"If Luce thinks you're strong, so do I!" Natsu said.
"You may be a goofy kid, but you got this." Gray said.
"You have grown during our quest. I have no doubt." Erza said.
"I believe in you, Aang." Wendy said.
"You're the man, Twinkle Toes!" Toph said.
"You're gonna kick the Fire Lord's ass, Air head!" Jiba said.
"Aye!" Happy said.
"We know you can do it." Carla said.
"Thanks, guys. You know what, I think I'm ready." Aang said and Lucy and Katara help him get to the bed and he lies down and starts going to sleep.
Aang confronts Fire Lord Ozai once again.
"Your days of tyranny are over, Fire Lord!" Aang said.
"Really? You're gonna take me out?! You're not even wearing pants!" Ozai said.
"No, Fire Lord Ozai. YOU'RE not wearing pants!" Aang said.
Ozai looks down to see his underwear and pulls out a shield with the Fire Nation symbol on it.
"No! My royal parts are showing!" Ozai said.
Aang continues to sleep smiling while the rest of the gang sleep but Lucy looks up at the starry sky.
"The invasion's tomorrow. If things go right, maybe we'll finally put an end to this war once and for all, but what then? What is Fire Lord Ozai planning when we begin raiding his empire?" Lucy asked in her mind and lies down but someone lies next to her and it's Natsu. "Can I help you?" Lucy asked Natsu.
"You seemed lonely so I'd thought you'd want a sleep partner." Natsu said.
"Ugh, not TOO close." Lucy said.
"Yes, ma'am." Natsu said grinning as the two sleep.
