Sorry this isn't a new chapter, but I need your input.
Sakura's Noble Phantasm, Avalon Nocturne, has gotten backlash for some very good reasons. While I still want her to receive a Noble Phantasm, a retcon is needed. I would like people to contact me with their own opinions and thoughts, so I can sift through them and come up with something more refined that fits Sakura and less "too much", "mirroring Shirou's situation" or "impossible for Morgan to do". So I'd like your help designing a new Noble Phantasm. PMs are preferred so as not to artificially inflate reviews.
Many people are asking for something more in line with Morgan's dagger, Erasure, though its power doesn't seem like something that would fit Sakura. Early concepts had Sakura receiving Carnwennan due to its Shadow properties, or a version called Carnwennan Morgan, so perhaps that should be a basis for a new weapon? Right now I am thinking along the lines of a staff that can adjust its length and carry a blade on the end (or both ends). Another option has it to where the handle/staff is the actual Noble Phantasm, while Sakura and Shirou actually have to craft or find blades for it to act as modifiers to its abilities to develop it further as they go? Like Yvette in El-Melloi II Case Files cycling through her artificial Mystic Eyes.
I still want the weapon to heal Sakura as written, to allow Sakura to speak to Morgan in her dreams, and to connect to the shadows/night to empower her (though I have what might be a different source of shadow in mind if Avalon is out. I still want input though). Yes, Sakura will be very powerful in this story, but namedropping an Avalon-based Noble Phantasm might be too much, too fast.
This 'chapter' will eventually be deleted when the retcon is complete to avoid cluttering the story.
