Chapter 84

At eight am on Christmas morning, Sirius woke the teens up with Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms.

All it did was cause a group huddle of teens sleeping on the livingroom floor after they opened their presents.

They slept in human form, all dressed in onesies that were their Animagus forms.

Rebekah had a dark red lion onesie with a darker mane. Draco was similar but he had a beak and fake little wings by his back. Daphne had a long tail and mane while Astoria had just a tail. Pansy had fake wings on her back and Tracey kept poking at the tiny ears and tail she had. Theo's had eyes on his hood with a thick tail while Logan's antlers were short but memorable. Blaise had a set of rounded ears on his hood and a nub of a tail.

There was no chance of waking them up before noon so the two adults just left them there.

It was adorable with how quiet it was now. Those teens were the loudest and rowdiest people Petunia had ever had in her house, and she had Dudley's friends as guests before. They did question down when requested so that was a plus side.

The teens always helped set the table and helped clean up, all without Magic. Though some needed a little instruction before they could do it by themselves, they didn't complain and actually found it interesting.

Magic wasn't always needed.

When the evening was coming along nicely, there was a knock at the door.

"Good evening, Mrs Dursley," Remus greeted softly, handing her a bottle of Muggle champagne. "I hope this is appropriate."

"Thank you. Please call me Petunia," She nodded to where the kitchen was, the door half cracked. "She's coming."

Petunia just stepped away from the door, fully knowing Rebekah would launch herself at Remus. She had done it to Sirius before and she had a similar bond.

"Moony!" She almost screamed, letting herself be picked up by Remus into a hug. After he set a kiss on her hairline did she stop hugging him and realise that there were two others with him. "Hi, Moody, Tonks."

"You've got a lion onesie!" Tonks gasped, quickly greeting Petunia before hugging Rebekah.

"We all got a onesie that replicated our Animagus forms,"

"They've refused to change into proper clothes ever since they got them this morning," Petunia said, letting everyone into the living room. "All of you, stop dawdling and come inside. You are letting all of the warm air out."

Christmas day was spent with the teens and Sirius and Tonks dancing along to whatever song was on the radio, while Remus and Moody spoke with Petunia in the kitchen.

Remus was surprisingly good at baking so as Petunia was making dinner, he helped her with biscuits and cookies. He called in the teens to do the decorating of the cookies before Sirius and Tonks could get to them. Moody held the two adults back, knowing they would try and eat the mixture of decorations and icing before it could be used.

Dinner was cooked and finished by six, and they ate on the extended table in the kitchen. All of the adults to one side, meaning Petunia at the head with Remus and Moody to each side, and then the teens on the other side.

They were all in the living room when the crow Patronus appeared in the middle of the teenagers' discussion of how Emperor reminded them of the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. They had watched the original Disney movies over the week, Rebekah saying that it was a disgrace that they hadn't watched any of them

"We have to leave!" Moody suddenly jumped from his seat, going for his wand with a swear under his breath. "Black, get the teenagers and help them pack. Lupin, you're on Potter duty. Tonks, take Petunia to HQ. We'll be right behind you."

"What's going—"

"Sorry, ma'am," Tonk smiled apologetically, her hair turning a little blue tinted as she grabbed Petunia's arm and Disapparited out of there before the Muggle woman could protest.

"Emperor, follow Petunia!" Rebekah quickly ordered, letting the Familiar disappear without a concern. Snapping her fingers, she watched as the runes appeared on the walls. She scanned them before sighing. "They're intact. Enyo, get the animals."

Enyo flew upstairs, beating her little wings.

With a swish of her wand, Rebekah had everyone's belongings in front of her. She shoved them all into her bottomless clutch, quickly getting everyone sorted as the Crown shoved their shoes on and grabbed the animals as they ran downstairs.

Half the teens were huddled around Sirius while the other half were with Moody. They would be Apparited back to Grimmauld place..

Sirius had the teens huddled around him, all gripping a bit of him. "Ready?"

Rebekah let go the moment before he could Disapparite. Remus knew she would try something like this, so he stayed behind to take her later. He needed to let her do whatever she wanted because she would become unruly otherwise.

Too much like her father in that aspect but she had her mother's temper.

She went to the kitchen, grabbing the calendar diary she knew Petunia put any important dates on before ripping the calendar on the fridge. You never knew who would look at it and find out important information that could endanger them.

As soon as he figured out she was going for the front door, he grabbed her by the bicep.

"Where are you going, Cub?"

"To get my uncle," Rebekah tried to shake his hand off. failing as he pulled her deeper into the house.

"We'll have one of the Order get him,"

"He's not going to trust them," She said, thinking. "Have Tonks get him. She can take Enyo with her so he can verify that she's telling the truth."

"Have you got everything?" He asked. "Hedwig has already been let out along with the other two."

Blaise had taken Fidele with him as a precaution as he knew Rebekah had other things to focus on.

"Yeah."

"Get your feline under control, Rebekah Lilianeth Potter Dursley!"

Rebekah cringed at her full name. The Dursley had adopted her officially when she was a lot younger, making it easier on them for documents and school. The added name didn't transfer to the Magical world so hardly anyone knew about her proper full name. Guess there should be a Black at the end too.

Petunia Dursley had this sixth sense of knowing if her children were around. The Muggle woman turned a corner and found herself in the main hallway as Remus got into the living room.

Emperor was clinging to Petunia's leg, looking more like a leg warmer than an actual cat.

"Sorry, Auntie," Rebekah pouted with puppy dog eyes, motioning for Emperor to leave her alone now. Emperor sat with his tail curled around one of Rebekah's ankles. "He was doing what I asked."

"I thought he was a cat, not a leg warmer," Petunia shook her head with pursed lips but the sour look disappeared as Rebekah handed her the diary she kept. "Thank you."

"I'm gonna have one of the adults get Uncle Vernon," She said, showing her the card with the address of the hotel he was staying at. "His meetings are finished but travelling is hectic. If it wasn't safe for us to stay at home, it really isn't safe for him to stay alone at the moment."

Ginny came into the hallway, poking her head as she waved to Petunia before looking to Rebekah. "Mum's asking for you, well, more complaining than anything right now."

"About what?"

"The Crown."

Rebekah sighed.

She went to the kitchen while Petunia and Ginny went to the living room where the other teenagers were. Molly was there with Sirius, Remus and Moody because as soon as Rebekah saw Tonks, she asked her to get Vernon.

"Why are they here?" Molly Weasley asked, a snippy tone in her voice. "Of all places, why did you bring them here?"

"Snape sent a warning to us," Moody snapped, already knowing Molly wasn't happy about having the teens here. "We have to stay away from the Dursleys' until after the holidays, then we'll have a twenty four hour watch on there. You-Know-Who might go after Potter's family if he can't get to her."

Molly hummed. "I don't see why they haven't been sent home then."

"They're staying the holiday at the Dursleys' and now they're staying here until school starts again," Sirius said, placing a hand on Remus' arm. "Can you sort the rooms out with my mother and Kreacher?"

"Sure," Remus smiled before he mouthed Good luck to Rebekah with a wink.

"You should have told me they were coming," Molly crossed her arms like a disapproving mother, wanting it to affect Sirius and Rebekah like it did her children.

Rebekah blinked. "Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why should we have informed you of something that doesn't concern you?" Rebekah asked.

"My family is here,"

"And? That's your choice. No one is forcing you to stay here. You can—"

"Be quiet, Rebekah!" Molly spat her name.

Rebekah's hair curled at the ends, flickering as she just stared blankly at her. "You don't get to tell me what to do."

"Someone has to tell you what you're not allowed to do. You've taken too many liberties."

"You are not my mother!" Rebekah said, gesturing her hand back to where the living room was. "My mother is dead and you cannot replace her. My parents, however, are my aunt and uncle. They've been threatened and, unlike your family, they have no protection. They can't just keep out of this brewing war because they can't help their relation to me."

Molly looked disgusted at Rebekah speaking back at her. "Your upbringing has been appalling if you think you can speak to an adult like this. You have to respect your elders."

"She respects them when there is something to respect," Petunia said from the doorway before coming to put her hands on Rebekah's shoulders, somehow knowing it grounded the Potter Witch. "You are not in charge of her nor are you in charge of any of her friends. I don't see why you're trying to tell her to do anything."

"Who are you?"

"I'm the one who raised her to be who she is and not hide herself,"

"Muggle."

Petunia just sent her a scathing look, the one that consisted of a sour glare and curled lips into a snarl.

Petunia Dursley wasn't a mother hen when it came to her children.

She was a mother Dragon, protecting her hatchlings.

She saw the importance of the group of friends to one of her hatchlings, thus taking them under her wing too.

"You say that like it's an insult," Petunia smiled with all the meanest Rebekah had ever seen on her.

Rebekah learnt her dark smile from somewhere.

"And if it is?" Molly tried.

"There is a large selection of words I would like to say but none of it is nice to say in polite company," Petunia gave her a once over. "But I don't see anything polite about you. Come, Rebekah, let's get everyone settled in before you blow a fuse in one of the lights again."

Rebekah didn't argue, only nodding as they passed Remus at the door.

"What happened here?" Remus asked.

"Remind me to not get on Petunia's bad side," Sirius said. "If Rebekah learnt from her, I don't want to know what the source is like."

"Right." Remus just smiled and shook his head. "I've got all of the Slytherins in Rebekah's room. I asked Kreacher to conjure up a quest room for Petunia Dursley. Vernon Dursley can stay with her when he arrives in a few hours."

"You can't put them all together!" Molly said.

"Why?"

"They are hormonal teens,"

"And?" Sirius said. "The Slytherin dungeons don't have a girls and boys' dorms, they each have a room in a corridor for their year group."

"I've already given them the talk, Molly," Remus grinned. "Sirius, you should have seen their faces. I have never seen that sort of disgust before."

"I suppose that is a good thing," Sirius shrugged. "I'm not ready to be a God Grandfather."

"I don't want to think about it, Padfoot."

"Nor do I, Moony."
