The Light Will Terrify The Dark

I loved watching TV when I was young. My favorite TV show was My Little Pony. I watched all 9 seasons growing up. I always dreamt of being in the fictional universe sometime. But I knew that would never happen. Until one day, something completely changed that would flip my world upside down forever. This is my story of how the light will terrify the dark.

I was rewatching Super Bowl LIV on my TV inside my house. I lived in Tampa, FL where it was sunny all the time and would rain everyday at noon. Life inside my house was pretty much boring. I would get up, have breakfast, do exercises, take a shower, make a couple of YouTube videos, have lunch, edit the videos, have dinner, then go to bed. I had friends, but we would mostly just edit videos together and see each other at conventions. It was good times. Today in particular though was pretty important. I had to go to the Tampa Bay Convention Center for my own show. I was that famous. I turned off the TV, grabbed my keys to my Torch Red C8 Corvette, and headed out. I remote started it and it sounded so good. It will never get old. It was a beautiful Friday morning. I then got in the car and drove off to the convention center. Traffic wasn't that bad on I-4, but when I got near downtown Tampa, the traffic started picking up. The convention center was just up ahead, but I had to stop at a red light. I looked over and saw a Karen giving me dirty looks. So I decided to do one thing: LAUNCH CONTROL! I went into track mode then right before the light turned green, I put my foot on the brake, and when it was green, I released it and hit the gas. I left her in the dust. I was laughing hysterically because it was so funny leaving a Karen in her tracks. It felt good. I finally arrived at the Convention center and got out. I went to set up inside. I was hyped up seeing all the fans seeing my glorious self. There was one thing I wanted to do though that I thought the crowd would enjoy. I had a launcher where you press a trigger and something will get launched into the air. I decided to put my merch inside the cannon and launch it when I wanted to. I watched as people started gathering and waiting.

Then it finally got started. The announcer was like "Welcome to Microsoft 2016's Fan Show!" The audience roared in excitement as they were excited to see their favorite YouTuber. Then the announcer said "Now, as you all know, we are all here for one reason. Give it up for MICROSOFT 2016!" I then walked up and was overwhelmed with excitement. I said to the audience "Welcome all! Who is ready to start this thing?" The audience responded with "WE DO!" I replied with "Can I get a HECK YEAH?" The audience responded with "HECK YEAH!" I had fun throughout the day launching shirts and signing autographs with fans. It was pretty much like that for the next two days. Finally, it ended. Everything had been put away and I got inside my corvette and drove home. I was super exhausted, but I had fun regardless. The night sky past downtown Tampa was beautiful. I even had a picture of it inside my house. After about half an hour, I finally arrived home. I was about ready to collapse. I put my keys away and headed for my bedroom. I brushed my teeth and started to head to bed. But then, I heard something. I turned around and looked around. I saw nothing. I tried going to bed again, but that noise came back. This time when I turned around, I saw a white light. I didn't know why it was there, but I knew it wasn't good. It started to approach me and got bigger as it got closer. I tried to fight it, but then everything was white and I got blinded by the light. I then blacked out.

I woke up and looked around. I saw a forest with vines and whatnot. I was confused. I looked down at the ground and saw my hands were turned into paws. I put them to the side of my face and felt a lot of hair. Finally, I turned around, and saw a tail. I suddenly realized I WAS A LION?! But how? I was unsure for a long time, but then something caught my attention. I heard low growls and saw this creature that had leaves and sticks as it's body, it had green eyes and had sharp teeth that looked like wood. It was in the shape of a wolf. Also their breath smelled really bad. It made me want to throw up. They were slowly approaching me. They were trying to attack me. Then, they came charging at me and I was completely shocked. I came back and hit them with my paws, scratched them with my claws, and basically destroyed them. I hissed in pain a couple of times, but I got back at them. So after when they were in pieces, I saw a trail and started walking through it. I eventually came to this town that looked like something from Medieval Times. But then, something caught my eye. There was this giant looking castle made of what I believe was crystals. It was very beautiful in my opinion. So I walked towards it. I decided to not go in there, because that would be rude and I knew lions are very dangerous in the human world, so I didn't know how this town would react to one walking around in their town. I saw a hill across from the right side of this crystal looking castle. I climbed up on it and fell asleep. I woke up at dawn and the sky looked so beautiful. I went to take a yawn because that's what humans would do. Or lions in this case. Weird. But then let out a roar which was a complete accident. I saw lights turning on and heads poking out seeing where that noise came from. I hid down low so no one would see. But I watched to see what their reaction was. But then I realized these weren't people who were sticking heads out. They were ponies. I read on the internet that foals and miniature ponies were at risk of getting eaten by a mountain lion, so I definitely wasn't looking to eat any horses for breakfast. Once all their heads were gone, I stood back up, but then I saw a pony staring at me. It was a pony from that castle. The pony looked female to me. She was a purple pony I think who had a purple and magenta mane and tail. She also had a horn and wings. I couldn't identify what kind of pony it was because I think I must of lost my memory or something. I knew that ponies with horns were called unicorns and ponies with wings were called pegasi. But this particular one had both a horn and wings. I looked at her, and she looked at me. I don't know how long it was, but I could care less. But something about her seemed attractive to me. I don't know what it was, but I could tell it was something. Then she disappeared. I said to myself "Huh. That was strange."

I went to turn around to go down the hill and look for some food, maybe some bugs or something like in Lion King or whatnot, but then my surroundings changed. I was now standing in a room which had even more crystals and had a bunch of decorations everywhere. I think I was standing in the castle foyer. But I wasn't sure. I said out loud "Huh, that's weird. I don't remember the scenery changing." Then a voice responded "You probably wouldn't." I then turned around to see that purple pony again. This time I circled around her to take a look at her completely. She had purple hair with some magenta and darker purple stripes going down her mane and tail. She had some sort of thing on her flank which had some sort of pink star with five more white small ones to go with it. I then went back to meet her face to face. I responded "How did I get here and what do you want from me?" She then replied "You were teleported in here and I don't want anything from you." "Oh" I responded. I was confused why I was brought here. I said "This place sure has a lot of crystal." She replied "Yeah, it makes the castle much prettier and more secure although dragons love eating it when in here for some reason." I asked "I saw you staring at me. How come you were looking at me?" She said "Oh, I heard a roar, I looked outside and then I saw you standing there on the hill so I had to take a closer look at you because I didn't know if you were dangerous or not. Which it appears you are not."

I said "Nope, generally this animal would be a super dangerous predator, but not me. I'm mostly passive for the most part." She then asked me "What animal are you anyway? I've never seen a creature like you before." I replied "A lion. You probably have never seen one before. It is a very dangerous predator and eats their prey when they attack it." She said "Huh. The only dangerous creatures here in Equestria are Dragons and Changelings." I asked "Dragons are real here?" She then replied "Of course they are. Don't they exist where you're from?" I said "Not exactly. There have been theories that Dragons existed, but there is no physical proof that they existed. So they are just considered a mythical creature." I asked her again "What is this place called?" She replied "Equestria and my name is Twilight Sparkle by the way." I responded with "Oh, I've never heard of it before and my name is Zachary." Just then I heard footsteps approaching and heard a voice say "Morning Twilight. What in Celestia is that thing?" I then turned around and saw a what looked to be a dragon. He had green scales and was purple just like Twilight. I responded with irritation "Who are you calling a thing?" I let out a roar and it echoed throughout the castle. That surprised me. Twilight then responded "Spike it's okay. His name is Zachary and is a Lion. I brought him here." The green dragon then looked at me and said "Oh. Sorry. I thought you were some dangerous creature trying to harm Twilight." I responded saying "It's ok. Sorry if the roar was a little loud." The green dragon responded "Nah, that was epic. I'm Spike by the way." I responded "Nice name. Are you a dragon or something?" He replied "Yeah I'm a dragon. I can even breathe fire too." I laughed saying "Yea I know that. Dragons were meant to that. It shows their toughness."

I heard another voice coming down the stairs asking Twilight "Hey Twilight? What was that loud noise I heard?" I responded "That was me sorry." This pony was a unicorn this time because she had a horn. Her skin was lighter than Twilight's but had the same purple hair as she did with aqua looking stripes down her mane and tail which in my opinion looked like toothpaste. Don't tell her that. The unicorn then got scared and seemed to have her horn light up like she was gonna hit someone. She said "Twilight, what is that thing? It looks like it would eat any of us." I rolled my eyes. But before I could say anything, Twilight said to her calmly "He's friendly and he won't hurt us." The unicorn's horn stopped glowing and walked over towards me. She looked at me and said "What creature are you supposed to be anyways?" I said "A lion." She started smiling and said excitedly "That's cool. I've never heard of a creature like that before. I'm Starlight. What's your name?" I responded "Zachary." Starlight then said "Can you tell me more about your species? It sounds super cool." I said "Sure, no problem. Is there a room with couches anywhere in this giant crystal looking castle?" Twilight responded "Yes there is. The library will do just the trick. It should fit all of us in there." Starlight then said "Come on then, let's go." I chuckled as I watched her speed walk up the stairs and to the library. I bent over to Twilight and whispered "Someone's excited." Twilight then giggled and replied "Yeah, this is the first time I've seen Starlight this excited ever." Starlight then responded "Come on you slow pokes. The faster we get there, the sooner I get to learn about this species." Me and Twilight laughed at her excitement.

We then arrived at the library and I'd say this library is pretty darn impressive. There were definitely a lot of shelves in this room. All four of us sat down on the couches and then Starlight asked me "So tell me, how did you get here and what do lions do for a lifetime?" I replied "Well, I was never a lion in the first place. I was actually a human. I pretty much lived a normal life doing YouTube and having nice cars. But then one Sunday night, I saw a white light and next thing I knew I was in this strange forest." Twilight then said "You mean the Everfree Forest right?" I said "Yeah. As for how lions live, they are mostly a predator. They hunt mostly zebras or any type of large group of animals moving in herds. When they see prey, they crouch down and when the moment is right, they pounce and attack them. Then they usually have it for dinner. It's actually pretty disgusting if you ask me, but it's just how they survive." Twilight asked me "Wait, if you ended up in the Everfree Forest, then how did you get to Ponyville?" I said "Well, when I woke up after that white light blinded me I noticed these wolf looking creatures with plants, leaves, and wood. I think there was 10 of them I believe. Oh and also their breath smelled so bad. I've never smelled breath that bad." After I said that, their jaws dropped and looked at me in surprise. I said "What?" Twilight replied "You're telling me that you fought an entire army of Timberwolves by yourself and managed to survive?" I said "Oh, that's what those things were. Yeah, I basically did. It was a bit painful though, but I was no match for them." They were even more surprised. Spike said with excitement "THAT WAS AWESOME!" I replied "It is?" Twilight then said "OF COURSE IT IS! No pony has ever been able to take on that many Timberwolves, survived, and hardly have any pain. Not even Princess Celestia herself could do that." I said "Oh. I didn't think that it was that big of a deal." Twilight then shook me and said "THIS IS A BIG DEAL! You just made a major achievement in Equestrian history that no pony could ever do." Spike then said "I don't even think that Discord could do that." I looked at him confused. "Discord?" Twilight responded "The Lord Of Chaos. He was evil at one point, but our friends managed to reform him, mainly Fluttershy." Huh, that's interesting. Because in the human world, Discord was a third party chat app that often was used by gamers to talk to each other. But they probably wouldn't understand that. I didn't see any form of modern technology anywhere. So I just accepted it without questioning it.

Twilight then said "We must tell our friends about this. Maybe I should tell Princess Celestia about this as well." Starlight said "Don't get ahead of yourself Twilight. Some ponies out there might be scared of him because of what he told us, what he turned into is a dangerous predator." I replied "Yes, you are right Starlight. I don't know how ponies would react to my appearance. They could get very scared as if their worst nightmares were given to them." Twilight responded saying "You shouldn't worry. Besides you are not like the other ones that exist back where you're from. Once we tell everypony that it's all right, they'll understand and won't be scared." I did trust what Twilight was saying, but I still had my doubts. Any human back on Earth that saw a lion would probably crap themselves because they would be so scared. I wasn't like those. I was passive and friendly for the most part. But I wasn't hesitant to defend myself if I had to. Soon the four of us left the castle and headed out towards Ponyville. I suddenly realized I was very hungry. I was a lion and I could try to eat a zebra, but I had a feeling that Twilight wouldn't be happy about that. So I ignored the typical lion instincts. My stomach growled very loud, but not as loud as my roar when I wake up every morning. Twilight took notice of this and said to me "Someone's hungry. You didn't have breakfast did you?" I said "No. But I sure am hungry. I'm so hungry I could eat a uhhh Timberwolf yeah Timberwolf." That sure was smooth. Twilight raised a brow at me, but I shrugged because I am a dumb idiot and I never want to tell the truth because it stings pretty badly. Twilight then said "Well, Sugarcube Corner is around here somewhere. We could just stop by for you to get some breakfast and ohh at the same time, that's where Pinkie is. Perfect."

I followed the mare into Sugarcube Corner and asked Twilight "So this is Sugarcube Corner huh? Is this like the town's bakery or something?" She replied "I guess you could think of it that way. They have a lot of good stuff here and one of my best friends lives here as well." I said "Oh, that's cool I guess." Just now, a pink pony came out and stood at the counter. Her hair was inflated I think that's what it looked like to me and had three balloons on her flank. Seriously, what's with these ponies having these tattoo-like things on their flanks? Whatever. I was too hungry to care. Finally, the pink pony spoke up and said "Hey Twilight. Hey Starlight, and Spike." They both said hi and looked back at Twilight. "So what brings you here to Sugarcube Corner? And who is this over here?" Twilight replied "Pinkie, this is Zachary, he apparently was a human and then somehow turned into a lion." Spike then spoke up and said "He even fought Timberwolves." Pinkie's jaw dropped. She said "WHAT? HOW'S THAT POSSIBLE? Timberwolves are giant party poopers and this dude just fought them?" Twilight said "All by himself and somehow managed to not sustain any injuries." Pinkie then said "That's a surprise. WE MUST HOST PARTY PRONTO!" Twilight said "Maybe later Pinkie, we actually came here for breakfast because this lion is hungry." Pinkie then responded "Oh sure no problem. What exactly does he like?" I replied "I'll have donuts if you got any. I don't have any preferences." She replied "Ok donuts coming up. BRB!" She then pulled a lever which randomly came out of the ground which was very weird and suddenly the floor below her dropped. Then it closed back up. I had so many questions right now. But my stomach had other ideas and was angry at me for even talking about this. It wanted food not talk about secret hidden levers and floors collapsing. She then popped back up and gave me my donuts. There was one problem though. I had no sort of currency to pay her at all. Luckily, Twilight fixed that issue right away and paid Pinkie and we headed off.

I inhaled those donuts like I was fighting those Timberwolves. Twilight then said to me "Guess someone was hungry." I replied "Well, it's in my nature when I'm super hungry, I inhale my food and tear it up like a vacuum cleaner." Twilight, Starlight, and Spike all gave me confused looks. I then said "I don't literally inhale my food. It's not even possible. It was just a figure of speech. It just means my food disappears very quickly. So Twilight, where do we go next?" Twilight replied "Well, the next spot would be Sweet Apple Acres where another one of my friends live. Applejack." I said "That sounds like the name of a farm." Twilight giggled and replied "That's because it is silly." I said "Oh, right. Umm oops. Well we should get going then." The name Applejack sounds like the cereal that you would find at Walmart or Target or pretty much any grocery store. The four of us then walked all the way to this "Sweet Apple Acres." I swear I have never heard that before. The name sounds like a bunch of apples covering like 50 acres of land and they tasted really sweet. Finally after 15 million years, we arrived in Sweet Apple Acres. There was an orange pony standing at this giant red barn. Red was always my favorite color and there was a lot of that. Made me crave some. I'm weird. Don't ask me why. This pony had a blonde mane and tail and had three apples on her flank.

Twilight spoke up and said "Hey Applejack. What are you doing?" The pony turned around and replied "Howdy Twilight. Just bucking some apples. What-" she stopped in the middle of her sentence and looked at me like she just met her worst enemy. She then threw an angry expression at me and I was confused. Next thing I know she hit me in the side with the back of her hoofs and it didn't feel nice. I hissed in pain and let out another roar to get the mare at least away from me and looking at me. Twilight then looked at this pony annoyed and said "Applejack! What was that for?" She replied "That thing might try and eat ya." I said "Well, that hurt. I think I might of hurt myself in the place where ya kicked me." Twilight then looked at me and suddenly had a worried expression on her face. I asked her "What?" She replied "You have a scar on your right side." I looked and it turns out she was right. Guess Timberwolves are that dangerous. I said again "Huh. I guess that's what happens when you fight Timberwolves." The orange pony's jaw dropped. She then said "Ya did what now?" Twilight replied "He fought about 10 Timberwolves all by himself with relative ease and managed to survive." The orange pony said "Well, I'll be. That has never happened before. I remember trying to fight Timberwolves, but that didn't work out too well."

I replied "It probably didn't. But lions are on top of the food chain these days and represent symbols of fierceness, might, and power. Oh and by the way my name is Zachary." The orange pony replied "Well, it's nice to meet ya. I'm Applejack." Her voice sounded like country folk in the deep south in the United States. I replied "So tell me more about the story with Timberwolves." Applejack told me about how Spike did favours for her and how he had to serve her for the rest of his life, so she purposely got stuck to attract Timberwolves to attack her and have Spike try to rescue her. It turned out pretty bad from what she told me. Hmm, the name Timberwolves sounds like the actual NBA team Minnesota Timberwolves. They haven't been that great in the 21st century, but I don't follow basketball, so I don't pay attention to that. Me, Twilight, Starlight, and Spike had to leave now, but I was hungry, so I stole some apples and ripped it apart like a vulture eating roadkill. A tree fell on me and was immediately angry. So I turned around and ripped the tree in half and attacked it to where it looked like a bunch of ash. I let out some exhaustion and when I looked up, Twilight, Starlight, and Spike all had shocked expressions on their faces as if they were saved from their worst enemy. I asked in confusion "What? That's basically how a lion attacks it's prey, but what lions would normally attack for meals, you guys wouldn't approve." Twilight then said "Well, you're definitely right about that. But that was actually amazing. I don't even think Rainbow Dash could do something that amazing."

Just then a rainbow colored pony showed up. Her mane and tail was the entire rainbow and had a cloud with a lightning bolt on her flank. She said "Did someone call my name? I heard we were talking about awesomeness. What the heck is that?" I rolled my eyes because practically everyone I've met so far would address me as "What is that?" or "What the heck is that thing?" Seriously, I was starting to get tired of this crap happening, but I simply didn't care enough to do anything about it. Twilight said "Rainbow Dash, this is Zachary. He is somehow a human turned into a lion." Spike then added "You just missed him take out an entire tree without even breaking a sweat." This rainbow colored pony said "Wow. That's pretty cool. What else can you do?" I replied "Hmm, how about fight 10 Timberwolves with relative ease and manage not to sustain any serious injuries. Does that sound cool enough to you?" She exclaimed "OF COURSE IT DOES! YOU MUST TELL ME EVERYTHING!" I explained to Rainbow Dash along with the rest of the gang how I managed to defeat Timberwolves without getting seriously hurt or dying in the process. She was so excited because finally someone could actually rival being awesome. According to the expression on her face I think. I don't know to be honest, but you never know. She could be that way, or not. You just never know with females these days. They are a massive gray area for males. Maybe just me. I don't know. Can any other males relate? I sure can.

It was kinda hard to look at Twilight in the eyes. When I would ever look at her, it was like into the stars itself. She was beautiful in every way, but I was a beast who often was referred to as the King of The Jungle. They were at the top of the food chain as least in Africa that was. They would even attack and kill elephants. If you stand in their way, they will take you out without any mercy. And here I was having feelings for a fictional mare that shined brighter than the stars themselves. I wish I could tell her that, but we just met. So now wouldn't be the proper time to say anything. For now, me and the other three had to move on to the next location in "Ponyville." What kind of name is that? It sounds so basic. Even more basic than me. Anyways, enough rambling. Our next location was this place called "Carousel Boutique." Did it have carousels inside? I always liked those as a kid. Anyways I asked Twilight "So what are those things you have on your flanks?" She replied "Oh, these are cutie marks. You get them when you discover special talents. I'm guessing that lions don't have those?" I said "Nope. So when you figure out what your special talent is, you get a cutie mark?" Something about saying the words Cutie Mark just sounded weird. I don't know. I kinda cringe when I say that. She replied "Yep."

Just then, we arrived and Twilight knocked on the door. A white pony came out. She had purple hair just like Twilight, but had no magenta stripes anywhere and she had three diamonds as her cutie mark. Still cringing. I need to stop rambling about random crap and focus on what's happening in front of me. The pony said "Oh my! Wherever did you get that scar on you dear?" Finally! Some pony didn't call me a thing like I was some alien. I replied "I fought some Timberwolves and somehow managed to get this scar." I honestly didn't know how I got that scar. I didn't feel anything until Applejack kicked me and Twilight pointed it out. That still kinda hurt by the way. This pony said "We must cover that up somehow. Name's Rarity by the way." Next thing I know, I was being dragged in. I wasn't some light boy. A male lion usually weighed up to 500 lbs. But I had a feeling that even though they weren't full grown horses, they probably weighed much more than that. I said "Oh, my name's Zachary. It's really not that big of a deal. It hardly hurts well that is until Applejack hit me on the right side with the back of her hoofs because she thought I was some dangerous creature. Which by nature, lions are. But not me. I just walk around doing I don't know really." Rarity then said "I simply just can't resist. Timberwolves are such yuck." I replied "Yeah, they pretty much suck. They also have really bad breath. It made me want to puke. It was so nasty." All of us laughed because I was right. Timberwolves pretty much sucked. I would probably dream of beating up Timberwolves in my sleep.

Finally, we left and the final location was a cottage somewhere. All the places we've been so far were Twilight's friends. It was kind of a walk. It was really hot outside. I was in a fictional universe and somehow the sun was just as powerful as back on Earth. I would probably get sunburn at this point. But I didn't feel anything. However, sometimes you don't feel anything, then a couple of hours later, you start feeling the burn. As someone who has had sunburn before, I and any other human would tell you it is not pleasant at all. However, for some reason, I've gotten my best sleep from it sometimes which is very strange because everything hurts. We arrived to this cottage. It actually doesn't look that bad to be honest. Twilight knocked on the door and out came a yellow pegasus because she had wings. She had a pink mane and tail and had three butterflies as her cutie mark. Still cringing so hard. Hang on one second. Let me slap myself. Ok there all done now. The yellow pony said with some shyness in her voice "Hi Twilight. What brings you here?" But before Twilight could say anything, this pony exclaimed "OH MY GOSH! IT LOOKS SO CUTE!" I said, "I can talk, you know." She then backed up and said "Oh forgive me, you just looked like a cute pet. I'm Fluttershy." I laughed slightly at that statement and replied "It's ok. In case you're wondering, I'm actually a human that turned into a lion. That is what I am right now. I'm Zachary." Fluttershy then asked me "Oh, could you tell me about lions?" I looked at Twilight and she shrugged, so I turned back to face Fluttershy and said "Yeah, sure. It's a pretty cool story." I told her all about what lions are, their history, and what they represent. She asked me "If lions are supposed to be fierce, have you taken down anything?" I replied "I have taken down Timberwolves and the only thing that happened was this scar that showed up on my right side. It doesn't hurt that much. Excluding the fact that I got kicked by Applejack because I was considered a dangerous creature." Twilight then said "We get it Zach. Applejack hit you in the spot where Timberwolves attacked you. You can stop saying that now." I rolled my eyes and ignored it.

Then Fluttershy said "Hmm, that's interesting. I've never actually heard of anypony taking on Timberwolves and not get hurt badly. They are mean though and very terrifying." Twilight spoke up saying "Well, he managed to defeat 10 Timberwolves all by himself without sustaining major injuries." Fluttershy's jaw then dropped. Everypony's jaws were just dropping all the time now. It's like I made history. Oh wait, I did according to Twilight. I still had my doubts though. Fluttershy said with exclamation "WHAT? How is that possible? Probably not even Princess Celestia could take all of them on at once." I replied "Probably. But it just seems like I just made history." Twilight then rolled her eyes and said "Of course you made history! No pony has ever been able to take on that many Timberwolves, and managed to survive. Honestly Zach, when are you actually gonna consider this a big achievement?" I replied "I don't know to be honest. I'm sure it's a big achievement, but it doesn't seem that important to me. They tried to attack me, but they suffered my wrath and it was pretty darn ugly." I was starting to get hungry again. All I had for breakfast was a bunch of donuts and that was like 4 hours ago. Twilight saw this and said "I guess some lion is hungry again. I know the perfect place for that." Yeah I was hungry again. I could go hunting for zebras, but I think there was a zebra in this universe and she gave remedies I think, so I don't think Twilight would be happy if I ate that for lunch.

Me, Twilight, Starlight, and Spike all walked to this place that was apparently called "The Hay Burger." It did sound yummy though when I would see the show on TV. It looked tasty and besides, if it had some hay in it, at least I'm sorta eating a horse. Don't tell Twilight that. She would slap me if she heard that. They also had "hay fries" as well. They were from what I saw on TV, just regular fries in the shape of a horseshoe. At least they had regular drinks like Coke and Root Beer. I took some of that along with the burger and fries and just tore it up. I think lion teeth are stronger than human teeth. Correct me if I'm wrong. Twilight was just shaking her head because I tore through my meal like in the snap of my fingers. Oh wait. I'm a lion, not a human. Even though I was a lion, I will always be human on the inside. I looked around and ponies were suspiciously looking because they saw two ponies and a dragon hanging out with a lion. They were probably just a bit jumpy because they had never seen a lion before and they were known as a dangerous predator. So I just ignored it.

After that, we went back to the castle because Twilight had to do some reading. So she went into the library, and Spike and Starlight were doing something else. I don't know. I went outside and went around for a walk. It was very nice outside. Then I saw a hill that overlooked Ponyville. I climbed up there and looked. It was so beautiful. While I was sitting there, my mind was thinking of Twilight. Don't ask me why. It had a mind of it's own. No pun intended. Every time I looked at her, she just looked like this perfect angel whose eyes sparkled more than the stars. Speaking of which, a pink flash appeared next to me and Twilight sat down next to me. I was trying to not blush, but it was really hard not to. She spoke up and said "This is beautiful out here. I looked for you and found you out here." I looked down at her and I could see some pink on her cheeks. I said "I guess you came to come fetch me and go back to the castle just for Pinkie Pie to throw an unexpected party and invite all of Ponyville." Twilight replied "I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. It's getting kind of late and there's things I need to do tomorrow." I said "Oh ok then. We shall get moving now right?" She giggled and replied "Yeah." Man, this mare was perfect. It was almost hard not having her presence around. I imagined being married to her one day ruling alongside her and overwatching Equestria. But that would be a long time before that would happen. Man, what was wrong with me? I started to have feelings for a fictional mare that never really existed and was in a little girls TV show. But she was my favorite character growing up.

Anyways, we finally arrived at the castle and when Twilight opened the door, she was completely shocked. I knew it. I'm now psychic. I can predict the future. Just kidding. I was being sarcastic on that. If you're offended, then just leave my presence and read another fanfiction. Hmm, maybe I'm more related to Pinkie Pie than I thought. I just broke the fourth wall. Anyways jokes aside, I wasn't surprised at all. I knew this was coming. However, the same couldn't be said about Twilight. I said "Well, look at that Twilight. What I'd tell you? I knew Pinkie would do this." Twilight just smiled in amusement, but was trying to hide it. I knew it though. She couldn't hide it from me. I didn't bother though exposing her. I was right about everything with the party. Pinkie Pie just randomly threw one surprising Twilight and she invited all of Ponyville inside this castle. There were tons of snacks so I chowed down on those as my dinner. Lion's dinner are much different than a human's.

Just suddenly though, I heard thunder and lightning. Everypony was completely shocked. It wasn't supposed to rain according to Rainbow Dash. I wasn't gonna let a thunderstorm ruin this party. Not on my watch. So I walked over to the doors, opened them, and let out a large roar. Then the thunderstorm disappeared completely. The sky was clear once again showing the night reminding me of yet again Twilight. I just couldn't stop thinking about her. I turned around and literally everypony was shocked. I do admit, I was a little confused how the clouds just randomly disappeared after a roar. Rainbow Dash spoke up saying "Ho-How did you do that? No pony could just randomly make those clouds disappear." I replied "I don't know. I guess I'm just full of surprises." The party continued on for a couple of more hours, then everypony left. I was kinda tired, but on my way to go to sleep, I saw Twilight sleeping on top of her books. So I just picked her up, put her on my back, and carried her to her room. I set her down on her bed and said quietly "Goodnight, my princess." I went outside to look at the night sky. Then after a little bit I fell asleep dreaming about that one day with Twilight as my wife and ruling Equestria alongside her.

AN: This is something new I wanted to try. This is my first story using first person. I know I go on and on about random crap that no one really cares about, but that is what happens in a first person setting pretty much. I have pretty big plans for this story idk how long it will go. But it will be entertaining.

Next Chapter: Zachary gets a dream of Queen Chrysalis and her minions planning an attack on Equestria. He goes and fights the queen, and manages to get out safely, but he tries to keep it secret and not tell anypony, but Twilight grows concerned and won't let him fight this threat alone.
