I was in the throne room once again staring at a magical flower that was sent in by Starswirl and I tried to figure out what it meant. Obviously, I watched the episode a long time ago, but I sorta forgot what magical property the flower has, so I kinda have to guess here. Unfortunately though, the Cutie Mark Crusaders had been going around asking my friends to take them to the fair in Appaloosa and none of them were available. After they asked Twilight, I heard her say "I'm afraid I am. Starswirl sent me this enchanted flower and it isn't doing well." That's what I'm trying to figure out here, but I'm not having much luck here. "If I can figure out it's magical properties, maybe we can save it." I hope so. They tried asking me, but I had to tell them the exact same thing sadly. I really wanted to go with them so bad, but I couldn't.
I said "I really would have no problem taking you guys to the fair, but Twilight needs me for this project since I know a lot about magical artifacts and plants that hold supernatural powers. So, I'm afraid I can't go either." It left me so heartbroken though that I couldn't go with them, but work comes before fun. That's how I've been taught. Apple Bloom said "But you could go anywhere you want!" I said "Yes I could, but Twilight's needs come before my own. It's part of being in a relationship. Putting your partner's needs before your own. You'll understand someday when you are adults." Scootaloo grumbled and said "Well, that's just great." Sorry. Can't do anything about that. Apple Bloom said "We've already asked Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity and none of them can come." That makes sense. Rarity runs a business, Rainbow works for a squadron, and Applejack has responsibilities. That's just part of life. Sweetie Belle said "And everypony made it clear we're too young to go on our own." Pretty much. You guys are young fillies and don't exactly know how the train system works. Twilight lowered her book and said "Oh definitely. You could take the wrong train, or miss your stop." Exactly. Fluttershy said "Or get lost in a strange town and end up in a dangerous situation with nopony to help you." Oh dear. I said "Yeah, like that terrible abomination that's named Kludgetown. *shakes nervously* Almost getting sold for bits. Never ever visit that town." Seriously, it's that bad.
"Nothing but dangerous creatures, dangerous buildings, and dangerous items." Both Twilight and Fluttershy can remember that all too well. I hope I never see that place again. All three CMC's said "We know!" and rolled their eyes. Twilight bent down and said "I know it's hard, but sometimes you just can't do what you want." Believe me. I'm all too familiar with that. Growing up, there were plenty of things I couldn't do simply because the situation was just not right for it. Scootaloo said "I'm pretty sure if you wanted to go to the fair, you could." Of course we can. There are plenty of things adults can do that children can't, but there's also quite a bit of things us adults can't do either that children can do. It's not just one sided. It goes both ways. Twilight said "Sure, grown ups can do a lot of things that foals can't, but there's plenty we can't do either." She is technically correct. Most of the time, as you get older, you don't have the same strength and speed you did as a kid. Of course, since I'm immortal, that's not going to change much. But for the rest of my friends, excluding Twilight, that will change drastically.
"Like right now, I can't find a single reference to this flower." Yeah, I have already checked every book and scroll there was and I haven't found squat yet. Fluttershy said "None of the birds or insects I've talked to have heard of it either." They probably wouldn't. I think this is something Starswirl kept for himself over the years which is why the wildlife probably hasn't heard of it because their ancestors never shared it down the family line. It's a possibility. I said "I've checked every book and scroll in this library, Canterlot, and the Crystal Empire and I have found nothing yet. So no luck on my side either." Twilight thought about it and said "I wonder if there's anything in "Shay Tail Evergreen's Thoma Flora and Fauna." There could be, but that book is extremely outdated, so we might not find anything there. But we got nothing else to look at. Might as well take a shot at it. Fluttershy said "That book's pretty out of date, but it might be worth a try." I think so. Got nothing better to look at. Twilight said "I think there's a copy in the library filed under "Discontinued But Still Potentially Useful Ancient Texts." That's a mouthful. We walked out and headed to the library. "Unless I put it under Hocomb With A slight Chance of Practical Applications." Once again, that's another mouthful. I was about to head into the library, but I wanted to see what the CMC's would do next. I have a feeling they might disobey us.
I watched carefully through the door and heard Apple Bloom say "I guess this flower is the most interestin' thing we're gonna see today." Yeah, I guess so. "Unless you count watching Twilight struggling to remember how she organizes her books." I do admit, that's pretty boring, but this is important research, so it doesn't matter. Sweetie Belle said "I bet everypony in Equestria is in Appaloosa right now!" I don't think so. Probably everypony that lives there would be, but not all across Equestria. That wouldn't happen unless if one of the monarchs was going to that event. Then, everyone and his mom would show up to that event just so they could be with Canterlot royalty. Apple Bloom said "Everypony but us." I think you would be surprised. They all sat down and pouted. There's always next year, you know. Scootaloo said "I wish we didn't have to wait to grow up." You don't want to wish that. You would still be extremely foolish and do stupid stuff. Apple Bloom said "I wish it would happen all at once." But life doesn't work like that.
If you wished that, then you would never be able to learn from things and be incredibly stupid. "Then we'd know everything we need to get to the fair and back with no problem." Just because you're an adult, does not mean you'll know exactly how to get to a destination and back without any issues. Even as an adult back home, I still got lost from time to time. Sweetie Belle said "I just wish we were as old as our sisters." That would be extremely weird though. Not gonna lie. "Then nopony could tell us what to do and we'd be able to take care of ourselves." Um, you are forgetting about someone. You might be an adult, but you still follow my commands. I can order you to stop what you are doing and go back. I can do that. Just because you are an adult doesn't mean you don't have to follow my laws or anyone else's. Anyway, as all of them are saying that, I noticed the flower get brighter. Suddenly, it got really bright that it made all their faces become super bright. Scootaloo said "Hey, Sweetie Belle. Why's your face all lit up?" Look at the flower. They all saw the flower and then it started to power up. They were all so confused and started panicking. But then, they got trapped by these giant pedals and engulfed them. The flower stopped glowing and the pedals went down. What I saw next was mind blowing. I mean, I've seen the episode before, but to actually see it with my own eyes is mind blowing. They all groaned in pain and then they gasped in shock.
Then, I saw the pedal that was used fall off the flower and disintegrate as it touched the glass. Welp, I figured out how the flower works. It grants wishes. I must tell Twilight about this discovery. Scootaloo said "Do you know what this means?" You go confess what you've done and change back? Yeah, sounds about right. All three of them said "We can go to the fair!" Oh no, you're not! You may be adults now, but I still have authority over you as a ruler. I can command you to stand down and not run off somewhere else or else that would be running from the law and I would have to arrest you. And believe me, your older sisters would not be too happy about that where a literal monarch of Equestria had to come arrest you because you thought it was a good idea to run from them and head off to Appaloosa. Anyways, they ran out the door and headed towards the train station. I rushed to the library and burst open the doors. I said "Twilight! I figured out what magical property that flower has!" Twilight got excited and said "Oh, what is it?!" I said, "It grants wishes." Twilight's clipboard dropped like a pin on a glass floor and it was dead silent.
Twilight said "Well, that's an interesting property." Right. I said "I forgot. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo all somehow got turned into adults by the flower and are headed off to Appaloosa!" Both Twilight and Fluttershy said "WHAT?!" and had nervous expressions on their faces. I said "We have no time to waste. You two go on the next train and I'll follow them on the one that's about to leave. Once we get there, I'll meet back up with you and tell you everything I saw. Got it?" Both of them nodded and I dashed towards the train station. I was flying in the sky and saw the CMC's running full steam ahead. I heard Apple Bloom say "I hope you brought the tickets!" I hope you didn't because then I can confront you. "We got to hurry if we wanna make the train." Oh, I'll make sure you don't get to the train on time. Sweetie Belle said "I think we'll be fine. Check out how fast we're going." Don't get dizzy and trip yourself because that's quite common when you do that. "Grown up legs are strong." For the most part, yes. But they eventually do fade. Unless if you're immortal, that strength won't last forever. Scootaloo said "You're not kidding. I don't know how much of this my scooter can take." Probably not that much since you now have a lot more strength. The crowd there was shocked to see them in adult form and I don't blame them. It's not something you see everyday.
Apple Bloom said "And nopony yelled at us to slow down even once." I can do that and then, you'll be forced to listen. "Being a grown up is great!" It has it's perks, but it also has its disadvantages as well. The train was about to leave, but the CMC's all made it inside with the tickets just before the door closed. I went into my shadow form and dashed right inside right before it closed all the way. I sat down and disguised myself as the pony I used back in Season 8 Episode 16 "Friendship University." Hey, I have to follow them, but I don't want to stick out because one, I'm a totally different creature, and two, I'm a royal, so I would stick out like a sore thumb. So, this is my disguise. But I did bring my newspaper so it looks like I'm a normal passenger. They all sighed in relief and Sweetie Belle said "We made it!" Yeah, just barely. Apple Bloom said "Of course we did! We're grown up ponies now. We can do anythin'!" Uh, no you can't. You still have to follow laws. That's not going to work from a legal aspect. If you break a law, you can't just say "Oh sorry. That doesn't apply to me now because I'm an adult." Even when you're an adult, the rules still apply to you.
"And all those worries Twilight and the others had don't apply anymore." Uh, yes they do. You might be in adult bodies, but you still have your childish brains with you, so you can still be just as dumb. "Because we're big, and bein' big is all it takes!" That's not how it works. They started singing some song about where they could do anything they want and no one can tell them they can't go to certain places which in of itself is extremely faulty logic and not very realistic. They also say facts don't apply to them and they can win any argument because "they said so." It doesn't work like that in the real world. If you don't know facts, you won't win any argument. Believe me. You try that tactic in debate club, you'll get shamed to death and that kind of philosophy is something that the corrupt democratic party has used over the last 50 years. Of course, they also thought that nopony can stand in their way, but sadly, that's just not true. Any of the five monarchs ruling Equestria right now can stand in your way and you would have to listen. Otherwise, you'll face consequences for it. But, you have to remember that these are kids and they don't understand reality yet. Once it hits them, then they'll change their attitude. But, that is still quite a bit away unfortunately. Sad, but true.
Then, there was the part of the song where they had the megaphones and blasted it into their sisters' ears looking much bigger. However, I jumped in on that and appeared behind them in my lion form shadowing over them and being the biggest creature of them all which made them tremble in fear. Yeah, my rules still apply to you whether you like it or not. Anyway, the song ended and the train came to a stop. I knew that they would get off here and not stay on the train like they are supposed to, so I watched them closely. After they got off the train, I went into my shadow form and disappeared from the train. Scootaloo said "I think I ate too many snacks." That should be the least of your worries right now. Sweetie Belle said "Uh, this doesn't look like Appaloosa." That's because it isn't. It's actually Hayseed Junction. Suddenly, a creepy voice said "That's because it isn't!" All three of them got an eerie feeling and stood close together. Apple Bloom said "Y'all heard that, right?" Yep, sure did. That's my doing. You're welcome.
Sweetie Belle went up to it closely and said "Uh, hello? Do you think we got on the wrong train?" Perhaps, or maybe you should have just stayed on it until you got to Appaloosa. It's one of those two things. Scootaloo said "I thought trains just took you where you wanted to go." Of course not, you dimwit! You clearly are living under a rock. That's not how the rail system works in case you forgot. There's a lot more planning that goes into a train ride than just that. Clearly, you still have a lot to learn. Suddenly, there was evil laughter and all of them screamed. Wait a second. That's the same guy from Season 8 Episode 23 "Sounds of Silence." Creepy dude. The guy said "Sorry. I don't mean to laugh, but you three must not travel much." No, they don't and there's a good reason why that's the case. I travel quite on a consistent basis mostly with military conventions and other stuff like that. "This is Hayseed Junction. The train to Appaloosa won't be for a few hours." Makes sense. It's a couple hour train ride from Ponyville to Appaloosa. "Or… you could set off on hoof. It's treacherous and confusing. Unfit for the young or timid." As he was saying that, I showed myself in my shadow form at the entrance where I had the appearance of Sombra and I just stared at them. It scared them even more and they were trembling in fear. Prepare to die, young ones. "But you three are grown ups, you'll be fine." Yeah, fake grown ups. Children inside of adult bodies.
"I-I'll write down some directions." Good luck with that. Apple Bloom motioned for Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle to come over to her so they could talk about what to do next. They huddled together and Sweetie Belle said "Maybe we should wait for the train." Or maybe you should just wait here and I'll reveal myself to you so I can get you guys home and reverse the effects you have on your body. Scootaloo said "And miss the fair?" Is it really that important to you? My gosh. Sweetie Belle argued "We already ended up in the wrong place which is exactly what we were warned about." Yeah, and you decided to run off anyways. I would have done my research first before I would trek off on this journey. "And what if we can't follow the directions?" Yeah, directions these days can be hard to read. They all stared at that conductor and after a few seconds, Apple Bloom said "Come on. We didn't come all this way for nothin'." You shouldn't have come this way in the first place. "Besides, I've been through a swamp as a young pony, as a grown up, it'll be a snap." I don't think so.
Scootaloo said "Grown ups always know the way!" That's not true whatsoever. Grown ups can still mess up and get stuff wrong. Adults aren't perfect. But I guess you three don't see it that way. Sweetie Belle said "Because being big is all it takes!" That's not how it works, you dimwit! The conductor started laughing evilly again, and it got so bad he started coughing and he had to insert an inhaler. Guess he has asthma or something. He said "Sorry, got kind of a throat thing." I can tell. He handed them the directions and the three of them trekked into the swamp nervously. They went through a whole bunch of stuff and they got mud on themselves which made them look like wild swamp ponies. Kind funny if you ask me. Scootaloo got out of the water and said "Sweetie Belle? Are you sure this is the right way?" It depends. I usually don't go through that first too often because it serves no purpose for me. But when I do go there, I do my research. "Sweetie Belle?" Of course, I caused some wind to blow which made Scootaloo even more scared and terrified of the forest. Suddenly, Sweetie Belle appeared from the bush and said "Scootaloo?" Scootaloo screamed in fear and fell down. She yelled "Don't do that!" I thought it was quite funny considering the fact of what they just did. Sweetie Belle used her magic to flip up Scootaloo and Apple Bloom said "Girls?" Oh dear. She got herself stuck in the branches.
I didn't do that this time, I just let them fall. Sweetie Belle cut the branches and Apple Bloom fell to the ground. "Maybe we should head back to the station." That is, if you know where it is. It's quite easy to get lost in there. Sweetie Belle said "I'm not sure we can. I think we're lost." I told you. But just like my friends most of the time, you never listened to me. Scootaloo put her head to the ground in fear and said "Just like Twilight and the others said." It was going to happen one way or another. You can't escape that kind of curse. Suddenly, there was a voice that said "Well, where were you when I was feeding and caring for him?" That was random. The CMC's went to investigate and pulled back the bushes which caught the two ponies' attention. The male one said "AAHHH! Wild swamp ponies!" How he says it is funny. It seems they have a pet there. The two adult ponies that were walking by heard that and simply huffed in disgust before walking away.
Sweetie Belle got defensive and said "We're not wild swamp ponies! We're just grown ups." Well, it did look weird for you guys to come out of the bushes like that. Scootaloo said "And we are definitely not lost." Yes you are. Stop denying it. It won't do you any good. The female one said "Okay, but that swamp is pretty confusing if you're not from around here." It makes sense. Natives would know how to navigate it. But if you don't live here, it's quite confusing for you. "I'm Spur and this is Biscuit." Nice to meet the both of you. Apple Bloom walked up and said "I'm Apple Bloom. Nice to meet ya. But we're not confused. We're just… exploring new ways to get to Appaloosa." Uh huh. Yeah, as if I'll believe that lie. Biscuit said "Hey, that's where we're going." Oh lovely. I guess you guys were lucky there. Spur objected and said "No it isn't." Oh dear. We have a rivalry between these two. Sweetie Belle got confused and said "Uh, which is it?" I don't know, let's find out. Spur said "Biscuit thinks he can just take Boofy here to the fair!" Oh, that must be the pet they have. Biscuit turned around and said "Why not? It's just up the road and Boofy's my pet too." It seems like Biscuit isn't considering the consequences that could come if he decided to pursue that path. Spur flew over and said "Since when? Boofy's never even seen a crowd which you would know if you ever took care of him." Oooohhhhh, burn! Get rekted Biscuit. Nah, I'm kidding. Biscuit took the cage away and said "Did you ever think meeting all those ponies might be good for him?" You don't exactly know that.
In this situation, you have to consider all your options and decide what's best even if it's the one you don't like. Apple Bloom took a look at Boofy and she noticed him shaking himself back and forth. I think he's excited. She said "He seems okay meetin' us." Yeah, but that's just a small group of ponies. This fair has hundreds if not thousands of ponies attending this event. Biscuit smirked and said "See? They're grown ups and they get it." They're not really grown ups. They're just children in adult bodies. "Boofy should totally come to the fair with me, right?" I'm not sure that's a good idea. Spur took the cage and said "Y'all don't really think that, do ya?" I probably would not. I would have to get Fluttershy involved to make sure I have all the facts here and not make a mistake. Sweetie Belle said "Um, hold on. Us grown ups we need to confer." Okay then. The three of them huddled together and discussed what to do. "What do you girls think?" I would side with Spur since she actually does have genuine concern for Boofy which makes me believe she's in the right here. Of course, they might think differently since they are children and never apply logic.
Scootaloo said "If they go to the fair, we can tag along." I guess. But you might have serious consequences later on. Apple Bloom said "And Spur probably should share Boofy. I mean, that's what a grown up would say, right?" Yeah, you're on the right track, but the current issue is who is actually correct and I think Spur is correct in this case because something about this pet seems fishy and I do not want to put tons of ponies in danger just because a bunch of stupid kids forgot to apply logic and decided what sounded cooler. They all turned back around and Sweetie Belle said "As grown up ponies, we think you should share Boofy and let Biscuit take him to the fair." *facepalms* This is going to go so bad. Even though they are in adult bodies, their childish thinking followed with them and still lingers inside their heads. This is part of a childish argument. They never apply logic and only make decisions based on what sounds cool to them regardless if it has consequences that come with it. Biscuit smiled and said "That is some quality grown up advice." Not really. You've been fooled by a bunch of children who are running around in adult bodies making dumb decisions. Spur seemed worried and said "But Boofy's has never been around anything that exciting. What if something goes wrong?" If something does go wrong, I'll show up in five seconds with backup and fix the situation before it gets too out of hand.
Apple Bloom didn't seem to get the memo on that and said "We're headed to the fair too. Since we're such great advice givers, feel free to ask us for more." HA! I'll never take your advice, because you are far younger than me and I know how to make smart decisions unlike you incompetent children. Spur just stared in silence and then flew off to follow the rest of them. They all made it to the fair and to be honest, it looked pretty nice. Suddenly, Boofy started making noises and a pony came by and said "Oh my goodness, what an interesting critter. You should enter it into the animal showcase. You'd be sure to win "Most Interesting Creature." Oh dear. Don't give Biscuit ideas. Speaking of which, he said "Animal showcase? That's exactly what we should do!" That doesn't seem like a very good idea either. Spur didn't like that and said "That seems like a bad idea." You would be correct. "What do you grown ups think?" They're gone. Spur looked around for them, but they were nowhere to be found.
They ran off while Spur tried looking for them. Every time she would show up in one place, they were somewhere else. They were having the time of their lives and after a bit, Spur finally found them and confronted them. They stopped in their tracks and Spur gave them a glare. "What happened to being able to ask for your advice?! You ran off the second we got here!" That's because they simply didn't care and only came here to have fun. Apple Bloom looked around and asked "Where's Biscuit and Boofy?" That's why she was going to you, you dimwit! Spur said "That's why I came to find you." Why else do you think she would come to you? To ask which cotton candy flavor is better? No, of course not! They went over to the animal showcase and it was actually in the Buckball Hall of Fame which was nice. Spur confronted Biscuit and was quite ticked off. "It's one thing to bring Boofy to the fair, it's another to stick him in a showcase!" She is right. Biscuit basically ran off without her consent and did his own thing. Biscuit didn't seem to care and said "What's the big deal?" Don't downplay it like that because bad things will happen. Sweetie Belle still didn't understand and said "You're supposed to be sharing him." It has nothing to do with sharing him, it's about his well-being! But you incompetent foals would never get that at your age. Scootaloo said "Yeah, I'm with Biscuit. The showcase looks like fun." I don't give a prick if it looks like fun or not!
It's about making sure that Boofy is taken care of properly and not what's cool to you. Spur got offended and said "Sorry if I think taking care of Boofy is more important than having fun!" I'm with Spur here. Obviously, the CMC's just quite didn't get that and sided with Biscuit because of what their childish arguments were. The entire cage was vibrating like crazy and it seemed like Boofy was screaming, but I don't know. Biscuit said "Boofy's just excited. He probably just wants to get out." I think there's more to it than that. Biscuit opened the cage and out came Boofy. He does look pretty cute in my opinion. He jumped out and he followed Biscuit. Spur looked sad and Apple Bloom said "Are you sure you're not just upset you have to share him?" It's more than that, Apple Bloom! Y'all just don't get it because you're too young to understand. "What if you took a little break?" That sounds like a terrible idea! How dare you mention that, you stupid idiot. Spur seemed unsure about that and said "You mean, like leave?" Well, not Appaloosa, but just this stadium. That's all.
Sweetie Belle said "If sharing him is too hard, that might be the best thing." Once again, you're using faulty logic and not thinking about the consequences. "Take our word for it. We are grown ups." No, you're not. You're foals pretending to be grown ups just so that you can get whatever you want." They all walked away and Spur left in sadness. I'll make sure the CMC's pay for their foolishness alright. Apple Bloom said "I don't know what Spur's all worried about." How about you just shut your mouth for once?! That would be greatly appreciated. "Boofy and Biscuit are having fun." Not at the expense of everyone else. I don't stand for that. Scootaloo said "Yeah, what could go wrong." Okay, now you've done it. You have now cursed yourselves. Time to suffer! I made sure the cheers were extra loud and that all the attention was focused on him which caused him to grow extremely excited. Suddenly, after a few seconds, he turned into a giant purple tornado and started making a mess. Biscuit backed away in fear and Scootaloo quickly regretted what she said. Yeah, you better, you incompetent foal. "Me and my big grown up mouth." Yeah, that gets you into trouble most of the time and now, you sound like Spike. Ponies started running for their lives and Boofy continued to suck up all the scenery that was sitting there. My gosh. You guys have really screwed up now. You will have a stern talking to at the end of this.
Apple Bloom asked "Do you think this qualifies as getting into a dangerous situation with no grown pony to help us?" Yeah, it does. You should have listened to us adults. But nope, you believed that your selfish arguments were correct and ran off without telling any of us. Sweetie Belle said "I think we're the grown ponies that need to be helping today!" I think so, but you're going to have to need some help. The three of them ran to a cart and Scootaloo picked up a lollipop while Sweetie Belle tipped the guy for payment. Scootaloo said "Boofy! Treats, treats, treats! Who wants a treat?" Boofy came over and almost picked up Scootaloo in the air, but Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle held her down as Boofy picked up the lollipop and ate it no problem still unchanged. He went after Biscuit and he backed up to a corner with no help at all. Sweetie Belle ran over and teleported him away over to a stack of hay bales. He asked "What do we do now?!" Probably run away and get help. The hay bales went bye bye as well and the CMC's yelled "RUN!" All of them headed out and I went to the train station.
I saw Twilight and Fluttershy get off and I said "Good. You guys are here. I followed them here and it honestly was a hot mess." I explained to the both of them what I saw go down and they were pretty upset that this even happened. As we walked along, Fluttershy noticed ponies running away in fear and screaming at the top of their lungs. After I was done, I pointed down below at the Buckball Hall of Fame and both of them stood there in shock. The CMC's came running and Apple Bloom said "Twilight! Zachary! Fluttershy! Thank goodness. I know you're not going to believe it, but it's me. Apple Bloom." I know that. I've been following you this whole time. Scootaloo said "And I'm Scootaloo." Yes, yes. We don't need the introduction. "We kinda got turned into grown ups." I witnessed that as well. Sweetie Belle said "And we thought we could take the train here since we were old enough, but we ended up in the wrong place just like you said we would!" I didn't say anything because I wanted them to confess everything so I can use this as a lesson later on. If I said something, the truth may never come out, so I'm just staying silent here. Apple Bloom said "And we got lost." Of course you did. Going through that swamp is a mess. Scootaloo said "Just like you said we would." we know that. Move on please. Apple Bloom said "And then we met these foals who led us to the fair and we tried to give them some grown up advice!"
Yeah, and look how that turned out. "But their pet turned into a tornado that might destroy the whole town!" Are you done yet? Me, Twilight and Fluttershy looked at each other and rolled our eyes because this situation never should have happened in the first place, but because they were disobedient, we now have to deal with this. We walked over to the Buckball Hall of Fame and Fluttershy was astonished at what she saw. She said "Goodness. A Whirling Monteith. They're very rare and are just the cutest little things when they're not excited." This one is definitely excited. That would explain why he turned into a tornado. Because the more attention he gets, the more excited he gets and turns destructive. A cart got yeeted right next to us and Fluttershy smiled nervously. "This one's excited." I can tell. Scootaloo asked "How do we calm him down?!" I'll let Fluttershy give you the answer to that one. Fluttershy said "When they're young, a Monteith forms a tight bond with its caretaker." That's definitely not Biscuit. "They're the only ones who can get them to stop spinning." She is correct.
I know about these creatures, but they are so rare and also, they're not my specialty. I let Fluttershy deal with that which is why I let her explain what they are and what they do. They all looked at Biscuit and he said "Spur's the one who really took care of Boofy. We have to find her!" Yeah, go do that. Twilight said "You all go look for Spur. Fluttershy, Zach and I wil do our best to keep everypony here safe." That's right. Twilight teleported away while Fluttershy flew up to retrieve any flying animals caught in the whirlwind. I charged up my scepter and blasted red magic into the air to form a domed shield over the stadium so no one gets hit from flying debris outside. It was a big stadium, but it was nothing I couldn't handle. I gave an opening for Spur, Biscuit and the CMC's to come back inside and then closed it back up. Spur was surprised and said "That's Boofy?" Yep. It sure is. Biscuit said "I'm so sorry Spur. You knew what was best for him all along." I think some other ponies can relate. I gave a raised eyebrow at the CMC's and Apple Bloom said "And even though we seemed like grown ups, you were way more responsible than us." Of course they were. They're older than you, so they have more knowledge and grew up naturally instead of skipping it. Spur seemed confused and asked "What do you mean seem like grown ups?" Now's not the time to discuss that. We have a much bigger problem here.
Sweetie Belle got nervous and said "Uh, we don't have time to explain. Right now, we have to stop this and you're the only one who can do it." Pretty much. Spur seemed unsure and said "How?" Follow Fluttershy's lead. She came up to Spur and said "I'll show you. He mostly just needs to see you." Yeah, she is correct. Spur flew up with Fluttershy and Spur said "Hey there, Boofy poo. It's okay." She opened the cage slowly and Fluttershy nodded. Spur went inside the whirlwind and got Boofy to turn back to normal which made the purple tornado stop. I lowered the shield and the both of them bonded for a bit before Boofy went back inside the cage and Spur closed it up. She flew back down and looked at Fluttershy. "How did you know what to do?" Experience. That's your answer. Fluttershy said "After years of experience with animals, I've picked up a few things." Which is why you should never skip childhood because you'll never gain that experience like most adults would once they grow up naturally. I hope you learned your lesson, CMC's.
We went back to the train station and Spur said "Well, one thing's for sure: Boofy definitely earned the "Most Interesting Creature" prize." It makes sense since they are so rare and adorably cute. Biscuit said "I'm sorry I didn't listen to you." It happens. You just wanted to have fun, but you let your pride cloud your judgement and ended up causing a mess. Apple Bloom said "We all are." I hope so. Spur said "I guess grown ups aren't always perfect." Uh huh. Yep. I said "Never were, never will be. We are all flawed in some way or another." Twilight nodded and said "He's right. But young foals pretending to be grown ups are less so." I agree. Spur seemed confused and asked "What do you mean?" I said "You'll see in a second." Twilight pulled out the flower and said "There's only one pedal left. But I think the three of you know what to wish for and I'm pretty sure Starswirl won't mind." He won't. I said "He won't mind. I'll make sure to tell him in my next letter." Twilight put the flower down and the CMC's said together "We wish we were foals again." The flower activated itself and it changed back to the way they were. Both Spur and Biscuit stood there in shock and couldn't believe their eyes. Biscuit said "Hold on. You three are actually younger than us?!" Yep. They sure are. Sweetie Belle said "The flower turned us into grown ups, so we figured we could do whatever we wanted, but I guess that's not exactly true." No it isn't.
I said "Even if you truly were adults, you can't escape the law. I could have easily commanded you to stop and you would have had to listen then. Just because you are adults, it does not mean that the rules don't apply to you and you can do whatever you want. True, there are certain things that us adults can do that foals can't, but as adults, we mostly have responsibilities that keep us busy all the time. That's just part of adulthood. Sure, as kids, you know, you want to grow up and do all these things, but then, once you are finally an adult, reality hits you and you're now given tons of responsibilities that you just can't put off for later. Believe me. I used to be that way. I see myself in you three. But it just doesn't work that way. Besides, growing up naturally gives you life lessons that are important to learn as you get older and you can gain experience in certain areas so that you are prepared for a terrible situation. Don't skip childhood. Growing up takes time. So enjoy it while you still can because it won't last forever." That's what I've been told growing up, so I thought I'd tell them.
Apple Bloom said "We did everything real grown ups told us not to, and caused all kinds trouble." You sure did and I hope you regret it. Scootaloo said "And things could have been a lot worse!" Yes, they could have. So count that as a blessing and also as a warning never to do something like that again. "I guess we were pretty selfish." You were. What you three did is only something that the fool does and you three know better than to do something like that. You guys are old enough to know right from wrong. Us adults should not have to tell you that. Twilight said "I'm glad you learned something and Zach's right. Being an adult has a lot of responsibility and should not be taken lightly. Learning from your mistakes is what growing up is. Which is why you should probably never skip any of it." Agreed. Otherwise, you'll act like a bunch of fools with selfish and childish arguments. Sweetie Belle looked at Biscuit and Spur and said "I know we didn't make the best impression, but we sure would like to visit you and Boofy someday." That would be nice, but I want to see what they think first. Spur said "I guess that'd be okay, on one condition: You get a REAL adult to bring you." Yes, not fake ones. The three of them said "Deal!" and we all laughed for a bit. After that, we all headed home and went our separate ways. Today sure was quite the rollercoaster. It's been a while since something like this happened.
It's been kinda boring for the last couple of weeks, but whatever. I think the Cutie Mark Crusaders finally learned their lesson today and will hopefully never try to do something so stupid again. I remember I always wanted to grow up, but as soon as I was 18, I realized that I was now an adult and I had no idea what to do. It kinda sneaks up on you like that. I was pretty much an adult for most of my senior year since my birthday is in September and I am a year behind some of my friends and family who were born the same year. Because of that, it made me one of the oldest kids in my class which was the class of 2022. So yeah. For any of you out there that want to rush to adulthood, just know that things will become a lot harder and you can't do as much as you did when you were younger. So cherish your childhood and live it to the fullest while you still can because when you are finally an adult, it will most likely be gone for good all the way up until death. Besides, like I said before, growing up takes time, so enjoy it.
AN: Welp, that's the end of another chapter. This episode teaches a really good lesson to young children on why you shouldn't skip childhood. Childhood can be boring sometimes and it seems like you can't do whatever you want. But, adults can't do whatever they want either. They have a lot of responsibilities. They simply can't push it off to the side because of how important it is. So, always live your childhood to the fullest because you most likely will never get that opportunity again. Hope you enjoyed the chapter!

Until then, my fellow readers
