EPILOGUE
Two weeks later
As soon as Winry had finished his automail, Ed was raring to go, moving around, despite his leg still being in a large cast. Everything was slowly returning to normal. Although Ed was hobbling on crutches for the time being, he still managed to wave Winry goodbye as her train exited the station. Only being discharged from the hospital a day prior, he still felt the effects of his injuries and was often tired. Al was always happy to watch over him. They had returned to their bunks in the military dorms and continued recuperating, the two were nose deep in books, studying the philosopher stone and moving right back to work. Ed knew as soon as this bothersome cast was off, he'd be ready to go on his next adventure.
Roy's home seemed compromised of his location for Lust and the others and he was forced to leave. He temporarily moved in with Riza until his own housing situation was figured out. The two spent their two weeks off in leisure, relaxing and trying to forget anything that had happened. They often visited the Elric brothers, laughing over tea or talking about the books they had read. Everything truly seemed blissful, even though it was just for a moment.
As the group returned back to their regular lives, they still found themselves holding a deeper bond than they had before all of this began. A bond that cannot be broken.
