My True Feelings
Me and Damon walked up to my front porch.
``Road trips work well for us'', he smiled.
I got out my keys, ``It doesn't mean that things are back to the way they used to be Damon I replied.''
``Oh come on, you know that I chipped a little bit of your wall of hatred'' he smirked.
I turned around...``I need to know the truth... when you broke Jeremy's neck, did you know that he was wearing the ring?''
He paused. 'No, no I didn't... Katherine really pissed me off, and I... snapped and I wouldn't know what he would of done if he wasn't wearing it''...
``Elena I'm sorry,
His blue eyes pierced into mine like he was looking into my soul.''
My heartbeat increased, the look on his face nearly tarred me apart.
I sighed. ``Thank you for being honest with me and the answer to your question about our friendship... is yes you have lost me forever'' His face dropped.
I went to open the front door when Damon stopped me.
``But you knew that already didn't you''
``You used me today.''
I looked up at him with a mask of Hatred. 'You had information about Katherine that I needed to know.''
``I thought friends don't manipulate friends.'' He searched my eyes for a moment.
``You and Katherine have a lot more in common than just your looks''. Then he was gone.
His comment hit me like a thousand knives after several minutes I slowly walked to the front door and went inside.
I fell to the floor with my face in my hands, those words kept replaying over and over again in my head.

I groaned, this day was a total disaster I didn't want to see Damon hurt... as much as I should want him to be... I just couldn't.
But the scariest thing of all was that I lied. He hadn't lost me forever, Even though he broke my brother's neck I just couldn't carry on hating him.
Something deep down inside me felt something more than friendship towards Damon,
But I'm too much of a coward to believe it.
