"Alright! With these, I'm definitely gonna graduate!" Naruto cheered as he finished mastering the Shadow Clone Jutsu and the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu from the Forbidden Scroll.
The whiskered blonde having stolen the Forbidden Scroll from the Hokage's Office, after being approached by his Academy Instructor Mizuki, after he failed the Graduation Exam again. With the Chūnin offering Naruto the chance to take a secret make-up test to graduate and become a Genin. Something that Naruto was more than eager to accept, learning that all he had to do was steal the Forbidden Scroll from the Hokage's Office, take it to a spot in the forest, and learn a Jutsu from it before waiting for Mizuki to arrive.
Naruto having succeeded in doing so, only running into the problem of the Sandaime arriving just as he was about to escape. Thankfully, the Uzumaki was able to knock him out with his Sexy Jutsu and get away with no one the wiser.
'Now I just have to wait for Mizuki-sensei to arrive and I can finally become a Ninja!' Thought Naruto while smiling happily, before he looked back at the Forbidden Scroll, gaining a thoughtful expression as he did.
"He did say that I only needed to learn one Jutsu to pass, but I guess it wouldn't hurt if I learned a few others." Naruto stated as he opened the scroll again, since if he learned more Jutsu then he could really show how great he is.
Looking at the other Jutsu aside from the Shadow Clones, Naruto dismissed most of them after seeing how complicated they are, knowing he needed to find one he could learn quickly enough. Only to see all of them either required plenty of time to simply learn, while others needed a target to use them on.
'Come on, there's gotta be something easy here, I can learn!' Thought Naruto as he opened more of the scroll, before stopping when he saw the next section didn't have any Jutsu, instead having a large seal on it.
"Huh, what kind of seal is this?" Naruto muttered, while looking the seal over with a surprisingly focused gaze.
One thing no one knew about Naruto was that he had an interest in Fūinjutsu, after the instructors went over the basics of it in the Academy. Along with showing some examples, like Explosive Tags and Storage Scrolls, with Naruto being amazed at what Fūinjutsu seemed capable of. Unfortunately, there weren't any further lessons on the subject, since hardly any Ninja really used Fūinjutsu. Though Naruto studied what he could about it, which wasn't much, so he decided to wait until he became a Ninja to start learning more about it.
So seeing this seal in the Forbidden Scroll definitely had his attention, as he wondered what it was for and what it did. Before the whiskered blonde spotted some notes about the seal written at the bottom of the scroll.
"An experimental seal to…see into the future?!" Naruto said in disbelief, not expecting the seal to allow the user to see into the future.
"How much and how far the user sees into the future is dependent on the amount of Chakra channeled into the seal." Read Naruto, before looking back at the seal, as despite it being an experimental one, there's no way he could pass up the chance to look into his own future.
'And I do have a lot of Chakra, so I bet I can see a lot of what's going to happen! Maybe even see when I finally become Hokage!' Thought Naruto, excited at the chance to see what his future will be like.
Placing his hand on the seal, Naruto started channeling his Chakra into it, causing the seal to light up, making him grin upon seeing it was working. Though as he started to channel more Chakra into it, Naruto failed to realize just how much Chakra he had, combined with his poor Chakra Control. Resulting in him pushing too much Chakra into the seal, than what was considered safe.
Something Naruto realized, as he quickly pulled his hand back when the seal started sparking with electricity.
"Uh-oh." Naruto muttered before crying out when the seal released a wave of Chakra, throwing him back against a tree, the boy gasping as his eyes widened as images began flashing through his mind.
He saw everything that was going to happen, from being put on Team Seven to Sasuke defecting, going on the training trip with Jiraiya, returning only to learn that Gaara was kidnapped by the Akatsuki. Saving him and Chiyo bringing him back to life, going after Orochimaru and Sasuke, mastering his Wind Affinity and creating the Rasenshuriken, searching for Itachi, Pein attacking and destroying Konoha. Nearly breaking the seal and meeting his father, the Kage Summit, mastering the Kyūbi's Chakra and meeting his mother, the Fourth Ninja War, fighting Madara, Obito, and the Jūbi, nearly dying and meeting the Sage of Six Paths, Kaguya's revival, sealing her away and having to fight Sasuke again.
Naruto saw everything after as well, fighting Toneri on the moon, saving Hinata and Hanabi, getting married to Hinata, their children, becoming Hokage, the attacks from Momoshiki, Kinshiki, and Urashiki. All the way up to a Momoshiki-possessed Boruto destroying Sasuke's Rinnegan, and Kurama sacrificing itself to give Naruto access to Baryon Mode to kill Isshiki.
Before the visions suddenly cut to Boruto and Kawaki, standing in the ruins of a destroyed Konoha.
"No!" Naruto shouted as the visions faded, leaving him panting as he found himself back in the forest.
Seeing he was back in the forest, Naruto slumped against the tree, panting as he looked forward with wide eyes at everything he just saw. So much death, so much destruction, everyone trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, and then the other Ōtsutsuki's arriving. While one was already here, hiding and waiting for his moment to strike. And that's not counting all the secrets he just learned from everything he saw, who his parents are and him being a Jinchūriki.
And then in the end, it was all destroyed. Naruto wasn't sure how, but if Konoha's future state was anything to go by, he could only guess the rest of the world didn't look much better.
'But…does that have to be the only future?' Naruto thought while sitting up straight, as he began realizing he knew everything that's going to happen, ways to defeat all his enemies, and prevent so much of what he saw from happening.
"I can't stay here." Said Naruto, before getting up and going over to the Forbidden Scroll, copying down several Jutsu that may be of use to him.
He couldn't stay in Konoha, not if he wanted any chance of preventing that future from happening, he'd need to leave so he could prepare and deal with things ahead of time.
After he finished copying down all the Jutsu that'd be useful, Naruto created several Shadow Clones, before handing the Forbidden Scroll to one of them.
"You take this back to the old man, the rest of you go to my apartment gather all my stuff and leave notes for Iruka-sensei, Ayame, Teuchi, and Hinata. Go!" Said Naruto, with the clones all jumping away to do as they were instructed.
Naruto wanted to leave a note for Hinata as well, since while he didn't have the same feelings for her, that his future counterpart did, given they never really interacted. Along with it being unlikely they'll end up together in this changing timeline, he's still grateful for her crush on him and wants to apologize for not knowing. And to encourage Hinata to find happiness and become strong without having to use him as motivation, having seen proof that she's stronger and braver than she knows.
'Need to get moving, if I want to meet my clones and get out of here before anyone shows up.' Naruto thought, before jumping away as well to where he'll meet his clones.
*Hokage's Office*
Meanwhile, the Sandaime Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was looking through his crystal ball trying to find any sign of where Naruto could have gone.
'Naruto, I hope you have a good explanation for stealing the Forbidden Scroll.' Sarutobi thought, knowing how bad this could be if Naruto didn't have an excuse for what he did.
Though suddenly the door to his office slammed open, making the Hokage shoot up in case it was an attack, only to be surprised when he saw Naruto's Shadow Clone holding the Forbidden Scroll.
"Before you say anything old man, Mizuki tricked me to steal the scroll saying it was a secret test, he has ties to Orochimaru, and his girlfriend knows!" The clone said quickly, while handing the stunned Hokage the scroll.
"What are you-" Said Sarutobi, confused by what just happened, only for the clone to cut him off.
"No time to explain! Also make up with Asuma, he's your son and you don't want there to be any unresolved issues between you two! Especially since you're an old man and he has a giant bounty on his head, that would get a lot of attention for those that'd want to collect it!" Said the clone, only confusing and worrying Hiruzen even further.
"Naruto-" Hiruzen said, only to be cutoff again.
"I said no time! And for the love of every deity there is, kill Danzō already! He stole Shisui's Sharingan, to make sure the massacre still happened and to have access to Kotoamatsukami! Along with several others that he has in his arm, which came from one of Orochimaru's Sharingan Experiments, who goes by Shin Uchiha, and was infused with Hashirama's DNA! And make sure you really kill him, because he has a Suicide Seal and a technique that lets him revive himself, so don't take any chances!" The clone said, much Hiruzen's shock at how he knew that.
"Enough Naruto! Tell me what is going on and how you know about the massacre?!" Demanded Hiruzen, only to be shocked again when the clone dispelled itself, having done everything it needed to do.
Leaving Sarutobi stunned and confused at what happened, before looking at the Forbidden Scroll, only to see it was opened to the seal Mito made. One that he also knew Kushina had worked on as well, and further developed it.
"Oh no." Sarutobi said, realizing Naruto must have used the seal, seeing the urgency and fear on the Shadow Clones face, making him wonder what could have happened that'd instill such a fear and dread into Naruto of all people.
Before remembering what the clone said about Danzō, making him mentally curse that he had Shisui's Sharingan and possibly others as well.
'That would explain why I didn't kill him already; he must have used Kotoamatsukami. And having Hashirama's DNA would help shorten the time it'd take for him to cast it again, and both methods he'd need to control the Kyūbi.' Hiruzen thought
"Someone get me Kakashi, I need him and Jiraiya here yesterday!" Sarutobi ordered, sending an Anbu to bring him Kakashi while he sent a message to Jiraiya, knowing he'd need them to help deal with Danzō and then start searching for Naruto.
"And find Asuma as well, tell him to come to my office." Added Sarutobi, also knowing he should take the clones advice and work things out with his son.
*With Naruto*
Back with Naruto, he had made his way out of Konoha, where he met up with his clones not long after, before jumping into a nearby river. Ensuring there'll be no scent or trail for any pursuers to track, not wanting to risk being taken back and having a Yamanaka go through his mind. Knowing if anyone else learned what he did, it'd only end in disaster, even more so if certain individuals learned it as well.
After letting the current carry him away from Konoha, Naruto pulled himself out, knowing he wasn't far off from Tanzaku Gai.
'Before I even try to do anything, I need to get my Chakra Control up.' Thought Naruto, knowing that's his biggest issue.
And with Tanzaku Gai being a hotspot for drinking and gambling, he knew it'd only be a matter of time before Tsunade and Shizune showed up. The two being the only ones that could help him improve his Chakra Control at the moment, along with the current versions of them not caring for why or how.
Once he saw the town in sight, Naruto created several more Shadow Clones that all then transformed into different appearances.
"All of you head into town, go to as many casino's as you can to collect as much money as you can." Naruto said, knowing that until he's older and strong enough to start taking missions and hunt bounties for cash and experience, this was their best way at making money.
Plus, he might as well take advantage of his apparent luck, when it comes to gambling.
"And make sure to keep an eye out for Pervy Sage." Added Naruto, since the Sandaime would be sending Jiraiya to try and find him, which is the last things Naruto wanted to happen.
The clones all nodding before heading to town, making sure to go in at different times and entrances, since they couldn't be too careful.
Afterwards, Naruto entered the surrounding forest, where he found a cave that he could stay in for the time being. Along with creating and dispelling a Shadow Clone, so his other clones knew where their current base was.
'One thing left to do, before I start training.' Thought Naruto, before getting into a meditative position, with it taking some trial and error before he was able to enter his mindscape.
*Mindscape*
Opening his eyes, Naruto found himself in front of the old and familiar Eight Trigrams Seal.
"Kurama!" Naruto shouted into the cage, knowing that'll certainly piss off the fox, as not a moment later a claw shot out from the bars with Kurama stepping out from the darkness
"Just because you know my name, doesn't mean you have the right to use!" Kurama growled, annoyed that the brat now knew its name, but wasn't surprised given the Bijū saw everything he did.
"Yeah, I know your name, just like I know you killed my parents." Retorted Naruto, glaring at the fox, angry to know it killed his parents, even more so that he had to see it happen.
"They were dead anyway! Kushina from having me extracted and Namikaze from using the Dead Demon Consuming Seal! You want to be angry, then be angry at the Uchiha who caused it!" Said Kurama, with the two glaring at each other.
Despite how their future counterparts eventually came to get along, they still hated each other regardless of what happened in the future.
"I'm not here to fight and no matter what happened, I'm willing to try and work together with you. And if we could still be friends in the future, despite everything that happened, then maybe we can still be here. Especially since we know what the real threat is." Said Naruto after a few moments, willing to put their differences aside to work together, while Kurama back down and looked at Naruto with narrowed eyes.
"…Out of all my Jinchūriki, you've shown yourself to be the most interesting in a single night, than Mito and Kushina had in their entire lives. You willingly left Konoha in order to fulfill your own ambition to change the future, something neither of them would have done, believing they could solve everything by staying. Though perhaps Kushina would have left, if it was before she settled down with Namikaze. Though make no mistake, I still despise all you humans." Kurama said, not forgetting how humanity hunted down and sealed it and its siblings away for decades.
"But I'm willing to give you the chance to earn my respect and trust, like your future-self was able to do. But don't think I'll give it freely, despite what you're doing. Since as far as I'm concerned, you're still the same runt screaming about becoming Hokage. Though here's some free advice, be yourself and follow your own path, rather than becoming obsessed with trying to emulate your future-self. As you've already changed things by leaving Konoha, along with what you told the old monkey." Added Kurama, willing to give Naruto the chance to earn its respect and trust.
With it helping that he was Asura's Transmigrant and got the Sage's blessing as well.
"Thank you and I'll try." Naruto replied while nodding, knowing he has started to change things and shouldn't try to be like his future-self.
"Good. Now then, will you be summoning your parents?" Kurama asked, only for Naruto to shake his head.
"Not yet, I want to get further into my training before contacting them, since they'll have a lot to teach me. Though that means I'll need your help in supplying them with Chakra, to keep them around until I'm able to finish my training with them and getting to know them better." Said Naruto, making Kurama growl in annoyance.
"You expect me to willingly give Chakra to my former container and the man that sealed me away a third time?! After taking my Yin-half with him into the Shinigami's stomach?!" Demanded Kurama, with the whiskered blonde giving it an annoyed look.
"Yes! Since they could help me learn a lot of things that could help us against the Akatsuki, the Ōtsutsuki, and Kara! And I'd like the chance to actually get to know my parents! Unless, of course, you'd prefer us having to use Baryon Mode against Isshiki?!" Naruto retorted, with the fox glaring at him at the mention of that form and what'd happen if it was used.
"…Fine, I'll give them Chakra. As long as you don't waste time and if you see a chance to kill an enemy or get more power, then you take it. As I have no intentions of fading away." Kurama said, refusing to permanently die or have Naruto try to make friends with his enemies again, or pass up chances to get stronger.
Naruto nodded in response, fully knowing he can't offer his enemies a second chance, if he had an opening then he was going to put them in the ground.
*Real World*
Opening his eyes, Naruto stood up so he could get started on his training.
'I'll need to perfect the Jutsu I already know, along with getting started on the Surface Walking and Leaf Concentration Exercises.' Thought Naruto, since the latter two will help later on when he starts working on the Rasengan.
"I'll also need to find a stream to start Water Walking as well." Naruto muttered, needing to work on learning everything his future-self knew and then start improving from there.
Knowing what he needed to do, Naruto created ten Shadow Clones to help him, as he got started on his training.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Naruto finding something else in the Forbidden Scroll, an experimental seal to let the user see into the future, with how much and how far they see depending on the amount of Chakra they use, leading to Naruto using it and using more Chakra than he needed to. Resulting in Naruto seeing everything that'll happen to him, all the way up to Sasuke's Rinnegan being destroyed and Kurama's death after using Baryon Mode, along with Boruto and Kawaki's battle in the destroyed Konoha. Leading to Naruto leaving Konoha, knowing he couldn't stay in the village, not if he wanted to deal with the real threats as soon as possible, but not before returning the Forbidden Scroll and leaving notes for his friends, including Hinata. With his clone also giving the Hokage some advice and making sure he deals with Danzō this time around, along with making amends with Asuma. Finally we see Naruto beginning his own plan, knowing he'll need Tsunade and Shizune's help with his Chakra Control, and meeting with Kurama, with both of them willing to put aside their differences to deal with the Ōtsutsuki when they show up.
