"DIE!" the shout echoed down the hallway as Bakugo sent the Villain flying back, slamming into several more as they tumbled over.
"Geez, calm down, dude," the spiky-haired boy beside him said as he fended off a Villain that tried to attack them from behind, easily dispatching him with a hardened punch to the face, "These guys are easy!"
"No shit!" Bakugo snarled, "They're just extras! The real bosses are those guys in the plaza!"
"How do you know?" Kirishima asked, punching another Villain back.
"Shut the fuck up, shitty hair!" the blond barked, unleashing another blast into a Villain's face, "I just do!"
Izuku gasped as his stomach lurched, the sudden change in gravity startling him as he began to drop. A hand slapped his chest, his body going light as the girl landed on top of him, her face slightly green as she reached down and touched something else, the weight on his waist suddenly vanishing.
"Thanks, Uraraka-chan," the slightly nasally voice said as Ochako gripped Izuku's shirt tightly, breathing slowly as Asui floated up beside them, "I didn't expect that Villain to put us up here, kero."
Izuku looked around, almost screaming as he realised where they were. They had been warped to the very top of the dome, almost ten stories up from the central plaza, their teacher still fighting below. He managed to bite back the shout as he spotted the Pro, the green-haired teen immediately starting to mutter as he analysed the man's movements.
"He's getting tired," Izuku mumbled, the two girls looking down at their teacher as he seemed to move easily between the Villains, taking them down quickly and efficiently.
"How can you tell, kero?" Asui croaked, rubbing Ochako's back as the brunette gagged slightly.
"The times between when he uses his quirk are getting shorter," Izuku replied automatically, not even realising he was talking as he watched, "You can tell by the way his hair falls over his eyes. I wonder if the floating hair is part of the quirk to make sure it doesn't get in the way. But then why doesn't he cut it? Shorter hair is harder to grab and won't give away his tell."
Izuku continued muttering as he watched the fight, the two girls looking at each other. The three of them almost cheered when their teacher darted towards the pale-haired man and the bird-faced person, slamming his elbow into the pale-haired man's chest, the sound dying in their throats as they saw the Pro jump back, his arm hanging limp beside him. The pale-haired man adjusted the dismembered hand over his face slightly as he seemed to gloat.
"What happened?" Ochako mumbled, hand over her mouth, "Is sensei hurt?"
"It's hard to see from up here, kero," Asui hummed, craning her neck slightly.
"He is," Izuku growled, startling the two girls as his nose twitched, "I can smell the blood. Where are the other Heroes? The other students?"
"Thirteen managed to get almost all of us out while you were distracting the mist guy, kero," Asui said, "Only Uraraka and I were left when he…burst, and we were both trying to grab you."
"Oh, sorry," Izuku muttered, before shaking his head, "Now's not the time, if everyone else is safe, then there has to be something we can do!"
"We should help him!" Ochako said, before gagging again, fighting back the urge to vomit.
"We can't, kero," Asui replied, rubbing the other girl's back again, "We should just get out of here and-."
She was cut off by the sound of shattering concrete, all three looking down in horror, the overly muscular thing that had been standing beside the pale-haired man now standing where their sensei had been only moments before. They winced as it raised its arm, smalling something down into the ground, a spiderweb of cracks forming in the cement beneath it.
"What's going on?" Ochako mumbled through her hand.
"It has sensei," Izuku breathed, looking around frantically, "I have to do something!"
The three watched as the pale-haired man walked calmly over to the monster, which was holding onto the head of their teacher as blood poured down his face. They were now close enough to hear the man's words, shivering as he spoke.
"Where's All Might?" the Villain growled, "The schedule said he would be here, so where is he?"
"Not here," Eraserhead growled, spitting some blood at the Villain, "So leave."
"Huh, I wonder…" the man said slowly, bringing his hand down on Eraserhead's face, the Pro's eyes glowing red, "Maybe a dead Hero or two will draw him out. How long do you think you can keep your quirk active before you have to blink? Thirty seconds? Twenty? However long, your face will still end up rotted away in the end!"
"Get off him!"
The shout startled both of them, turning to look at the source as the teen barrelled into the pale-haired man, shoulder checking him to the floor. Izuku spun in the air, bringing his foot down on the thick black arm that was holding his teacher, the muscles bulging as the kick stopped dead.
"What?" the pale-haired man giggled, "Trying to beat back Nomu? He was made to be the perfect punching bag for All Might, you know! Your pathetic kicks won't do anything!"
"Made?" Izuku muttered as he darted back, glancing behind the beast to see the two girls land in the floor a good distance behind it, "What do you mean "made"?"
"Nomu is a genetically engineered monster!" the man cackled now, Izuku watching him closely as he began to circle around him, "He has multiple quirks, Super Regeneration, Shock Absorption, Super Strength and Speed!"
"Multiple quirks?" Izuku breathed, looking at the creature as it slowly turned it head to look at him, its eyes blank, "How?"
"Sensei made it!" the man replied, now standing to the side, his cracked lips visible around the edges of the hand he wore on his face, "Now, Nomu. Kill the brat!"
Izuku didn't even have time to blink as the dark form descended on him, fist raised and already flying towards him. There was a loud crack as it slammed into him, Izuku's feet digging into the ground as the concrete around him shattered, throwing pieces up into the air. The Nomu drew back its arm, looking at the teen strangely, the boy's arms cracking as they healed from the shattered bones.
"What?" the pale-haired man growled, "How'd you resist a punch from Nomu?!"
"Guess your monster isn't as tough as you thought," Izuku giggled slightly, his eyes becoming unfocussed as he felt the pitiful supply of blood in his stomach boil away.
"Nomu! I said kill him!"
The monster howled as it brought down another punch, Izuku ready this time. He dodged under the blow with unnatural speed, slamming a fist into its chest, leaving a dent in the muscle which quickly vanished. The Nomu growled as it began to speed up, its fists just barely missing Izuku as he dodged around the simple attacks, occasionally launching his own, as ineffectual as they were. It was obvious that they were at a stalemate, the pale-haired man growling as an orb of dark smoke appeared beside him.
"Shigaraki Tomura," the mist Villain said, flinching slightly as he spotted the green-haired teen fighting the Nomu, "The students have escaped. I was only able to warp a few of them."
"Kurogiri," the man, Shigaraki, growled, "If you weren't our warp gate, I'd dust you right now! This isn't working! Why is that brat standing up against Nomu!"
"He did something to me earlier," the other Villain said, "It was…it was like he was trying to control me."
"Oh right," the almost jovial voice said, making the two look at the teen in confusion, "I forgot about that. Stop."
The Nomu froze as the word seemed to hit it physically, groaning slightly as its muscles strained mid punch.
"What?" Shigaraki growled, "Nomu! I said KILL HIM!"
"And I said stop," Izuku giggled slightly as the beast started to move again, before freezing once more as Izuku looked over to the two other Villains, "Hey, this is kind of fun, want to keep trying?"
"What? How are you giving orders to Nomu?! He only listens to me!" Shigaraki snarled, before his eyes darted towards some movement behind the fight, "Fine, if he can't kill you…Nomu! Kill those girls!"
"What?" Izuku said, his head snapping around as the beast disappeared from in front of him, appearing above the two other students as Asui tried to help the gagging Ochako away, "NO!"
The punch slammed down, the sound of shattering bone filling the air as the students were thrown back across the courtyard. They slammed into the edge of one of the zones, cracking the short wall that surrounded it. Izuku choaked as he looked down at his caved in chest, blood dripping from his mouth as he struggled to stand, the Nomu already moving towards them.
"Just as I thought," Shigaraki cackled, "You just had to protect them! Nomu! Kill them all! Slowly!"
"Midoriya," the voice said softly as he looked up, realising that he was lying on top of the two girls, the smell of blood wafting around him, "Are you okay, kero?"
"O…cha…ko," he managed to choke out, looking back at the Nomu, almost halfway to them as it walked slowly forwards, "Need…blood."
"She's unconscious, I think," Asui mumbled, Izuku looking over at the other girl, a thick line of blood dripping down her face. Anger began to boil from somewhere inside him, "You shouldn't drink from her, kero."
"Hurt…her…need to…pay…" he gasped, his shattered ribs grinding in his chest as he forced air into his lungs to speak, locking eyes with the green-haired girl, "Need… blood…need…kill…"
"Oh," Tsuyu blinked, her black eyes going soft as she reached forwards, hands cupping his face, "Then…then you can have some of mine."
Tsuyu slipped the sleeve of her costume up, presenting her wrist, her eyes slightly unfocused as she watched Izuku open his mouth, long fangs sinking into her soft flesh, blood welling up around them. His lips closed over the wound, the strong draw of his mouth pulling the blood from her body as a feeling of elation rushed through her.
The loud swallow made her shiver, though in disgust or pleasure she couldn't tell. The second swallow made her feel slightly dizzy, watching as he greedily drank at her arm. The third made her swoon, the edges of her vision going dark as she slipped to the side, head falling onto Ochako's shoulder. She watched as he drew back, standing slowly as his chest expanded out, the sound of grinding bone filling the air. He looked down at her, some blood dripping from the corner of his mouth as he smiled.
The dark form loomed behind him, raising an arm. Tsuyu wanted to warn him, cry out, but she was too weak, had lost too much blood as unconsciousness finally took her.
Sire flew through the air as he made his way to the USJ, occasionally checking the map on the new phone he'd been given. He almost didn't see the young man racing in the opposite direction as he flew, swooping down to talk to him.
"You, you are one of the young- of Midoriya's classmates, are you not?" he asked as the armoured teen skidded to a stop.
"I am! Who are you? A teacher?" the blue-haired boy asked, Sire simply nodding.
"What happened?" the man asked quickly.
"Villains! They attacked the USJ! Most of the students managed to get out, but a few were…we don't know, they were engulfed by a Villain's quirk and vanished!"
"And why did no one contact the school?"
"They had some sort of signal blocking quirk," the boy replied, his arms moving frantically as he spoke, "I was sent to fetch more teachers.
Sire nodded, tapping the screen of his phone a few times, before handing it to the boy.
"I've just called Principal Nedzu, tell him everything," Sire said as he began to float again, "I shall go ahead and, for lack of a better word, assist."
