Chapter 11: The Meeting and KCM 1

Naruto along with Tsunade, Shikamaru, Shikaku, Inoichi, Kakashi and Shizune was going to the newly built headquarters for the Shinobi Alliance near the coast of Fire Country and the Uzumaki Mask Storage Temple.

They arrived at the Headquarters and made the arrangements for the meeting and the war (A/N: It's the same as Canon), there was a Table for the meeting and giving commands to the Shinobi and Commanders on the Battlefield.

In the middle was a big space for Kanchi Suikyu (Sensing Water Sphere). They got settled and waited for the arrival of the Kages and their Shinobis respectively.

The first one to arrive was the Samurai Taisho (General) Mifune along with Kazekage Gaara and his siblings Temari and Kankuro, they exchanged greetings and rested for a bit waiting for the other Kages to arrive, the next was the Mizukage Terumi Mei who was with Ao and Chojuro. The next one was the Tsuchikage along with Kitsuchi and Kurotsuchi. The last one was the Raikage along with Darui, C, Bee and Mabui.

The Kages and Mifune sat down on the circular table with the others standing behind their respective Kages. Naruto looked around and saw that there was everyone who was needed for this meeting. He cleared his throat and said "I see that you have come with only important people."

All of them nodded as Tsuchikage said "That man truly is a monster, an army of 100,000 beings made from the cells of the Shodai Hokage, he has decimated the dead beyond saying."

The Mizukage then continued "Those things can surpass even our best Sensory Ninja, I think only you Hokage-dono can sense them when they have taken on another form."

Naruto nodded and replied "Yes, I have the same ability as Uzumaki Mito-sama, those Zetsus can copy Chakra signatures but their bloodlust and hatred remains and I can sense that."

Gaara then said "Naruto, you told us to bring our most trustworthy or powerful Shinobi along with anyone who has any special powers that can help the Alliance, what was the reason for that."

Naruto nodded and replied "The reason is that we have to make Regiments and Battalions for the war, that's why I called Shikamaru and Shikaku-san here."

Everyone looked at the two Naras who just thought 'Troublesome.'

Shikaku then coughed into his hand to gain attention and spoke up "First, I want to know how many troops we have in total, for Konoha, we have 20,000 shinobi excluding Genin and ANBU."

Shikaku motioned for the Raikage to speak who had surprisingly been quiet for the whole meeting "Kumo has 15,000 shinobi excluding Genin and ANBU."

The Tsuchikage was next "Iwa also has 15,000 shinobi excluding ANBU and Genin."

"The number is the same for Kiri."

"And also for Suna."

"There are 4,000 elite samurai who are Jonin level and above, 1,000 Samurai who are ANBU level and special 10 Samurai who are near Kage-Level."

Naruto, Shikaku and Shikamaru frowned, they were 15,000 short on number but Shikamaru spoke up "Although we are short on number, we still have better quality than the Akatsuki, we will have to decided the battalions soon as we don't know when they will attack but we know where and how they will attack."

Naruto's frown deepened as he groaned and said "Shika, you are forgetting about the Edo-Tensei Shinobi we will have to fight, especially the Kages."

The Raikage then burst from anger "Decimating the Dead, how far will Madara go, it's hard to imagine that we will have to fight our families or our senseis!"

The tension, uneasiness and fear in the room grew but Gaara decided to lighten it by giving a news "Suna Shinobi can use the Nunoshibari no Jutsu (Cloth Binding Technique), we can easily seal them by using that."

Naruto decided to add his two cents "Konoha Shinobi can also use Fuinjutsu like that and I have a special Katana made by Uzumaki Mito-sama to counter Edo-Tensei, I can also use that."

The Tsuchikage spoke up "I remember my sensei saying that the only Kunoichi he feared was Uzumaki Mito, he also said that her Katana was something not to be messed with, I think we can rely on that."

The mood in the room lightened but Tsunade asked Naruto "But Naruto, where did you find Baa-chan's Katana, the last I heard, it was in …"

Tsunade widened her eyes in realization as Naruto nodded confirming her suspicions. Naruto then said "Well, Shikamaru, tell us what you have decided."

Everyone looked at Shikamaru who was in the classic Nara Thinking Pose, after 2 minutes he opened his eyes and said "I don't want interrupting and I will not repeat again as both are very troublesome, so now listen

The Daiichi Butai (First Division) will be composed of Mid-Range fighters, the Commander will be Darui, they will be deployed on the Western Coast of Kaminari no Kuni (Land of Lightning), it will have people specialising in Bukijutsu (Weapon Techniques) and Katon, Suiton and Doton manipulation.

The Daini Butai (Second Division) will be composed of Short-Range fighters, the Commander will be Kitsuchi, they will be deployed on the Northern Edge of Land of Lightning, it will have people who will specialize in Taijutsu.

The Daisan Butai (Third Division) will be composed of both Short and Mid-Range Fighters, the Commander will be Hatake Kakashi, they will be deployed in the Mori no Kuni (Land of Forests), the Shinobi will specialize in Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and Nin-Taijutsu.

The Daiyon Butai (Fourth Division) will be composed of Long-Range Fighters, The Commander will be Kazekage-sama, and when he will be busy or called for any Kage Business, I will be the Commander, they will be deployed on the Border between Land of Lightning and Land of Earth, the Shinobi will specialize in Long-Range Combat, it will have the Sunagakure's Wind Attack Division.

The Daigo Butai (Fifth Division) will be the Sento Tokubetsu Buntai (Special Attack Division), it will be spread around all of Land of Lightning in small partitions, the Commander will be Mifune-sama, they will support any division they are closest to, it will be composed of Samurai and any Shinobis with Hiden Ninjutsu (Secret Ninjutsu)."

Shikamaru panted and stopped signaling that it was the end for his end of the explanation, every Kage looked at him with respect while their Shinobi wrote this for them. Darui looked a little tired as always when he heard that he would be leading a division, the others looked fine. Naruto then said "Those were the Battle Divisions who will fight on the Frontlines, now for the Support Divisions

The Kishu Butai (Surprise Attack Division) will be composed of ninjas proficient in Ambush Tactics, they will go as one division and go to places which require assistance, the Commander will be Kankuro, Sai's Ink Birds will help you a lot.

The Kohoshien Iryo Butai (Logistical Support and Medical Division) will be deployed with each squad and when the resting time comes, they will regroup behind our armies and set up a camp so that we can heal the wounded and the others can rest, the Commander will be Kato Shizune.

The Joho Butai (Intelligence Division) will be stationed here in the Headquarters, they will help in the exchange of information between those on the Battlefield and the Strategists and the ones in Command here, the Commander will be Yamanaka Inoichi.

The Kanchi Butai (Sensor Division) will obviously be composed of Sensor Ninjas, they will be deployed with each Battalion and a few will stay here for another purpose, The Commander will be Ao-san."

Naruto also took a deep breath after finishing, all the Kages thought about his decision and agreed, finding it to be the best way. The Raikage then asked a question "Hokage-sono, you gave the Kazekage and Mifune-dono their positions in the war, what about the rest of us."

Naruto closed his eyes and started to think, he then said "Tsuchikage-dono, I think it would be best if you are deployed with Kazekage-dono as they will fight at the frontlines and your style of jutsu fit the Regiment."

The Tsuchikage thought for a moment and then nodded, it sealed the position of 3 Kages out of 6. Shikamaru then said "I think it would be best if we put Mizukage-sama in the charge of the Daimyo Hogo Butai (Daimyo Protection Squad) and deploy the Hokage Guard Platoon with them as it will help in the efficient switching of their positions."

Naruto looked at the Mizukage who nodded but she asked another question "Hokage-dono, how will the Hokage Guard Platoon help us to switch places efficiently?"

Naruto smirked which sent shivers down the spine of Onoki and A for some reason, he replied "Well, they happen to know a technique which helps them to move from one location to another in …" he looked at both Onoki and A at this point and said "... a flash."

Kakashi activated his Sharingan and memorized their reactions and thought 'Ahh, the satisfaction.'

Both A and Onoki were wide-eyed with mouths fully open, everyone laughed as Naruto said "No, they don't know the Hiraishin (Flying Thunder God Technique) but it's variant called the Hiraijin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Formation), they can teleport but it requires all three members to work at the same time."

Both closed their mouths and heard snickers behind them, they glared at their Shinobi which shut them up. Mei then said "At the moment the Hachibi and Kyubi are supposed to be our main concerns. In order to prevent Madara's 'Eye of the Moon Plan' we must not allow him to get his hands on the two final Bijuu" she exclaimed.

Naruto glared at the auburn haired Mizukage, he hoped that she wasn't suggesting that he be kept away from the battle, "What are you trying to say Mizukage-dono?" he asked.

"I mean no disrespect Hokage-dono but I believe it is in the best interest for the alliance for both you and Bee-san to be hidden away from the Akatsuki. This prevents them from having the opportunity of capturing all nine tailed beasts and using them to revive the Juubi"

"I disagree with you Mizukage-sama, the power of the seven Bijuu currently in Madara's hands is quite simply unimaginable, and knowing him he might even have a trick up his sleeve. For all we know he may have some kind of jutsu or experiment that may make use of them" declared the Tsuchikage.

"I doubt he'd be so confident otherwise" added Onoki's bodyguard, Kitsuchi.

"Exactly, so why don't we use the Hachibi and Kyubi instead to counter the first seven Bijuu."

Bee then said "Yes, there's no way both of us can just sit somewhere knowing that people are sacrificing their lives for us."

All Kumo Shinobi including A looked at Bee with wide-eyes as they never heard him this serious before.

"Yes, our combined powers can take out armies, we will not slay Thousands of Shinobi just for this reason" yelled Naruto in rage.

"I apologize Hokage-dono but I still stand by my suggestion. We respect your role as our leader but you can still lead and have a role in the war. You can serve as a general for us and you can help us make tactical war strategies against our opponents. In this scenario you are heavily involved in the war but just in a role which fully depletes the chances of your capture. If we are to win this war we cannot have Madara revive the Juubi" the Mizukage added.

Before Naruto could reply Mifune addressed the topic, "How about we put this into a vote. The Hokage will not be able to vote seeing as how he is the subject of our vote. Are there any objections?"

Nobody disagreed with Mifune as Naruto sat back down to his seat, now the fate of the war was to be placed on a vote. Naruto prayed to Kami that they vote for him to join the war, he knew that he had a lot to offer in the battlefield and he hoped that the Kages could see that.

"Now for those in agreement with the Hokage please raise your hand"

Only Mifune and Onoki raised their hand, Naruto looked disheartened to see that Gaara had agreed with the Mizukage.

"Gaara?" Naruto asked, while feeling a bit hurt that his friend had chosen against him.

Gaara sighed knowing that this was to be expected from Naruto, "I'm sorry Naruto but I do agree with the Mizukage. Protecting you and Bee-san should be our main priority, you may not agree with me now but I am doing this because I do not want to see you in Akatsuki's hands. You saved me from them before and I do not want you to experience the same thing that happened to me" he explained in a sincere tone.

Naruto couldn't really get mad at Gaara's reasoning, this was just his way of trying to protect him. He knew that Gaara always had his best interests in mind, but this is one of the few instances Naruto had to disagree with his friend.

"For those in agreement with the Mizukage please raise your hand"

This time only Gaara and Mei raised their hands, this left the council surprised because of the fact that the Raikage had not voted on either choice. Naruto and the others had expected the Raikage to vote for Mei's plans because Bee was his brother, but it seemed like they were going to have a tie-breaker now.

"Raikage-dono what is the meaning of this? Please tell us your vote, we need to know your views on the matter if we are to make a decision"

"Yes Brother; make the vote now, don't be a cow."

The Raikage glared at Bee while the other Kumo-nin just face-palmed at his antics. But before anyone could say anything, Naruto said "Hmm, I like your rhyme and rap style Bee-san, we will surely get along nicely."

Everyone looked at him with a shocked expression while Bee took off his glasses and wiped his tears saying something about "Jinchuriki Brother" and "Finally someone."

Tsunade narrowed her eyes and leaked a bit of Killing Intent before saying in an overly-sweet tone "Naru-chan, I hope you will not become like him, right?"

Naruto nodded furiously much to the relief of the others in the room while Bee mumbled something about "Nobody appreciates my style."

Tsunade then returned to normal and said "Good, otherwise I would have fed you tons of Aphrodisiac and made Sakura and Ino stay away from you for a month."

Every male paled in the room and sent sympathetic looks to the blonde, who just sighed in relief that he gave the right answer.

The Raikage then said "I am sorry Mifune-dono but I cannot agree with either side at the moment, I can see and understand the reasoning of both the Hokage and the Mizukage but I cannot make my vote just yet. I have certain conditions for the Hokage and if he were to accept this condition then he will have my vote"

Naruto was surprised as he saw this as an opportunity for him to participate in the war, "What is this condition of yours Raikage-sama?" he eagerly asked.

A smirked as he saw the anticipation in Naruto's eyes, "If you want my vote Hokage-dono then I will need you to fully access you Biju" he explained as the rest of the council were left in shock by his statement.

"I agree with your proposition Raikage-dono, I will train with Kyubi to master his powers."

"So am I right to presume that you vote for the Hokage, Raikage-sama?" asked Mifune.

A nodded in return, "Hai my vote is for the Hokage to participate in the war" he replied.

Mifune nodded in return and said "So I think it concludes the vote in Hokade-dono's favour, so Both Bee-san and Hokage-dono will participate in the war, but their positions are still unknown."

Naruto nodded and said "Me and Bee-san will stay somewhere hidden, so that the Akatsuki can't capture us till we enter the war, the reason we are not staying at the Headquarters is because it will make the Akatsuki attack the Headquarters, which is not good for the Regiments and the War."

Everyone nodded, some reluctantly to his order, Gaara then asked "So what about Raikage-dono Naruto, what will be his position?"

The Raikage looked at Naruto waiting for his answer, Shikaku used this opportunity and said "Hokage-sama" catching the attention of everyone in the room, he looked at Naruto who nodded, giving him the permission to speak and said "I think it would be best if we leave Tsunade-sama and Raikage-sama in Command here at the Headquarters so that the Headquarters and the Sensory and Intelligence Divisions can be protected."

The Raikage reluctantly nodded, not pleased that he would not get any action but decided to stay here and protect the teams.

Ao then said "Hokage-sama, may I?"

Naruto nodded as Ao continued "As the Head of the Sensory division, I will need to set up a Kanchi Sukiyu (Sensing Water Sphere) here and I will need you to build a Kanchi Kekkai (Sensing Barrier) around the battlefield to help us better."

Naruto smiled and replied "Of course, the platform there is for that purpose only, as for the Barrier, you can build it on the Battlefield to help us better."

Ao nodded as this time Inoichi asked for the permission to speak, after gaining permission, he spoke "Hokage-sama, I want 5 stationary Chakra Transmission Communication Devices here in the Headquarters and atleast 2 with each Division to help us."

Naruto nodded as he knew from making his clones read from the library that those devices were necessary for the Intelligence Team.

Shizune then said "Hokage-sama, the Medical Teams will also need proper equipment to treat wounded patients during the brak at the camp."

Naruto nodded to her request also. He then thought for a moment to see if any other team required any assistance, he remembered another thing and said "Each Division will have a Sealing Team from Suna to immobilize the targets and they will also get Sealing Tags to seal them, I will send my clones with each Division as Sensors and fighters if things start to get hairy, when the Fake Madara will appear, me and Bee-san will join the war."

Everyone nodded at this point, it would be better to have the best sensor in each team if they needed to win against an opponent such as Zetsu. Naruto declared the meeting over as each Kage along with their respective Shinobi went back to their villages to make preparations for the war. Naruto himself made his way back to Konoha, after activating the seals on the Headquarters to protect it.

On his way, he was showered with praise from his friends and mother, all of them saying that they never imagined him to be so smart and tactical which made him grow a tick mark on his forehead in anger.

Naruto thought for the last time and made his decision, he will use Kurama's powers, after all, they were partners, he decided not to inform anyone and went to his Training Grounds, he even dismissed his ANBU, he knew that eventually everyone will get to know, but he knew that he couldn't do anything.

He reached his Training Grounds and summoned Gerotara who had the Key to his seal, the Toad looked around before his eyes landed on Naruto and asked "Naruto, why have you summoned me?"

Naruto sighed and replied "It's time Gerotara."

The Toad looked shocked and asked "Are you sure, there's no turning back after this, even if you are friends with the Kyuubi, his bloodlust and accumulated hate can consume you."

Naruto gained a determined look and nodded his head, Gerotara sighed and opened the scroll and said "Place your fingertips in that box and charge them with chakra, after that you have to just do as the Kyuubi has told you."

Naruto made a clone who was ready to use Mokuton just in case anything bad happened, after that he did as Gerotara said and sent him back to Myobokuzan. Naruto entered his mindscape and appeared in front of the cage, ready to take the final step.

Mindscape

Naruto stood in front of Kurama who said "Just do it Naruto, first you have to unseal and then separate my chakra from me without giving into the bloodlust and hatred, then place another seal to store the Chakra, I will regain my Chakra in about 2-3 weeks, after that we can train."

Suddenly they heard someone walking towards them, Kurama noticed who it was and said "Before you take on my hatred, you have to win over your own" and disappeared back into the cage.

"Who's there?" he asked, looking around. All of a sudden, a dark shadow rose up right in front of him and transformed….into him!

"Why? … I'm you of course!" he cackled.

"W-what do you mean?" asked a shocked Naruto.

" I'm the real you! The one that's been hidden away all this time" said Dark Naruto.

"Your feelings and hatred ..." He mumbled. "You're my darker half!" he exclaimed.

"No, I am the REAL you. You're nothing more than a mask trying to hide your sadness, frustration, and anger" laughed Dark Naruto. And then he charged. Before Naruto could snap out of his shock, he got a mean right hook to the face knocking him to the floor.

"Pathetic. You let all those villagers walk all over you. They hate you" he said.

"Freak"

"Monster"

"Mom said I can't play with you"

"He's that boy"

"Demon"

"They want to see you suffer. They want to see you fail!" he continued.

"I want to be Hokage! The greatest of them all!" Naruto yelled standing in front of the class. Everyone soon laughed at him.

"Like you can be, dobe" a boy with a dog in his head insulted "you've failed twice now!"

"Yeah Naruto-Baka!" a pink haired girl yelled when everyone now threw insults at him. One word was the most consistent of them all.

"Dobe!"

"No one cared. No one loved you. But you don't need them. All you need is me. Join me and we'll get our revenge" he said, extending his hand out.

"No, I can't give in to this hatred but maybehe's right … No one's ever cared for me … No one's ever loved me" Naruto thought as he slowly reached for his darker half's hand.

"Naruto-sama, you are our hero, you have saved us."

"We love you Naruto-kun."

"Sensei and Jiraiya would have been proud of you, they loved you more than anything or anyone, they saw your Will of Fire."

'T-they … loved me?'

"We love you Naruto-kun"

'They love me?'

"You are my sunshine Naruto"

'JIRAIYA-SENSEI, JIJI, INO-CHAN, SAKURA-CHA, KAA-CHAN!'

"NO!" Instead of grabbing the outstretched hand, Naruto punched his Darker half in the face, sending him to the floor.

"You fool! How can you possibly forgive those who have wronged you?" Dark Naruto screamed.

"They indeed wronged me, but they are making up for that, they have accepted me, I have a loving mother, two beautiful girls and a whole village as a family, they idolize me, they treat me like we wanted to." spoke a calm Naruto.

"You are my inner darkness. You are the anger, the frustration, the hatred I felt for all those who've wronged me. And I am—or was the happy go lucky Naruto who let everything just roll off his back. But neither of us are complete without the other. Deep down, even when I would grin and bear it, there was a part of me that felt that same anger, frustration, and hatred you felt. And somewhere underneath all that hatred that you've let overwhelm and control you, you don't really want to hurt anyone either; am I right?"

His Darker half didn't respond, only looked away.

"But there's no need now, they have accepted us and they treat us like we wanted to, so what's the big deal in forgiving them?" asked Naruto to his other half.

With the lack of response, Naruto decided to do the only thing that seemed to make sense—he walked over to his Darker form and offered him a hand up.

"How do I know you won't just forgive and forget like you used to?" asked Dark Naruto looking up at the offered hand.

"Because you are there for that, if I ever go down the wrong path, you and Kurama are there to help me" said Naruto.

The Dark Naruto smiled and took his other counterpart's hand and said "Damn straight!" And at this Naruto—both Light and Dark—grinned, sealing the handshake.

Soon, Naruto's Darker form disintegrated and was absorbed by his Lighter self. When the emerging was over, an odd sense of calm washed over him. He suddenly felt stronger. He suddenly felt faster. He suddenly felt more at ease than he'd ever felt in his entire life.

More importantly, for the first time in his life, he felt … complete.

Kurama then spoke up "Looks like you did it Naruto."

Naruto turned around and looked at Kurama who had a grin on his face and said "Well, you completed the first stage, now remove this seal and separate my Chakra, but remember, my bloodlust and hatred is far greater than any human, so try not to give in."

Naruto chose not to reply; instead he pulled up his shirt and also undid the seal placed on his stomach. Slowly the gate holding Kurama inside the cage began to slowly open, as soon as the gate was fully opened a blast of air sent Naruto flying across his mindscape.

Naruto began to concentrate intensely as he used his chakra to try and rip Kurama's own chakra out of him. He then began to harness his chakra but he took the darkness of his chakra for granted, as he gained more and more of Kurama's chakra he began to feel more and more of his hate and resentment. It was beginning to hurt him, the pain was growing unbearable.

"Naruto, don't let the hatred consume you, fight it with all of your willpower" yelled Kurama.

Outside

Everyone, ninja and civilians alike were doing their day-to-day work, some Ninja were taking missions, others were sitting in the Jonin Lounge talking to their fellow Shinobi. Tsunade was working in the hospital, instructing nurses and other medic-nin while Sakura and Ino were working their shifts at the hospital. Everything was great for everyone.

Suddenly all of them felt it, the feeling when Naruto lost control against Pein and when the Kyuubi attacked Konoha 17 years ago, they noticed that it was coming from the Hokage's Personal Training Grounds, a feeling of dread welled up inside everyone of them.

All the Ninjas led by Tsunade and Kakashi started giving orders to their fellow shinobi, the Tokubetsu Jonin and Chunin started to control the civilians and send them back inside their houses, the ANBU were on alert with 4 squads making way to the Training Grounds, Tsunade, Kakshi and the other Jonin started to race there too, hoping that it was not what they expected.

Tsunade just had one thought in mind 'Naru-chan, I hope you are not doing what I think you are.'

Sakura and Ino also ran towards the Training Grounds with worry filled inside them.

They reached the Training Grounds and saw a Naruto clone along with the real Naruto sitting in a Lotus position with half of him already in Kyuubified form.

Mindscape

Naruto was beginning to lose focus, he was slowly losing grip of Kurama's chakra. He was losing this tug-of-war; he knew he had to win this because if he didn't win then he would be consumed and Kurama would become a walking target for the Akatsuki.

Naruto writhed in pain and he was quickly losing control of his soul, the Chakra was beginning to win this tug-of-war and Naruto had no idea what to do. Kurama tried his best to control his Bloodlust and Hatred within his chakra but was failing to do so.

Suddenly, chains sprung forth from the ground binding Kurama once more he was unable to move from the spot he laid in. Afterwards light soon engulfed the area blinding Naruto momentarily, but as the light appeared the pain Naruto felt began to recede. After a while he opened his eyes and there he found a beautiful red-haired woman offering him her hand to help him stand.

He looked at his surroundings, the fox was nowhere in sight and he was no longer in the sewer where the fox's cage was placed. Instead he was now in a strange area, there was no end in sight in this place. The floor he laid on was pristine and white, and the sky had a beautiful shade of yellow, but there was no moon or sun present.

'Where am I? Am I in heaven?' he thought to himself

He then remembered the beautiful red-haired lady in front of him offering him her hand, he graciously accepted the gesture, and as soon as he stood up he got a clearer look on the lady's face.

She was smiling at him and Naruto was confused as to why, he didn't know who this lady was and he was sure he'd never met her before, but for some reason she did seem familiar to him.

Outside

Suddenly everything stopped, Naruto sat there half like him and the other like a Jinchuriki Form, Tsunade walked over to the clone and asked " What is Naru-chan attempting to do?" in an overly sweet voice.

The clone gulped and answered "He trying to take complete control of Kyuubi's Chakra, watching his current condition, I would say he is succeeding, otherwise, he would have already turned into the Kyuubi."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as Tsunade, Sakura and Ino cracked their knuckles and had a fark and dangerous aura around them with a overly sweet smile. All the other ninjas especially the males gulped and stepped back and wished Naruto luck against Tsunade, Ino and Sakura.

Naruto was curious as to why this lady was looking at him with such affection, "Who are you?" he asked out of confusion.

The red-haired lady chuckled, "I suppose it's only natural you don't remember me, Naruto. I'm Uzumaki Kushina" she replied with a smile.

Naruto's eyes widened, he now remembered everything. He remembered the files he dug up, the photos Kakashi gave him. Tears began to cascade down Naruto's cheek as a large smile adorned his face.

"Kaa-chan, I can't believe it's actually you" he exclaimed before wrapping his mother in a big hug, Naruto had always wanted to meet his parents and after already meeting his father earlier on, he was glad to finally do the same with his mother.

Kushina smiled warmly before returning the gesture, mother and son stayed in that position for a while, neither of them wanted to let go. For the longest time Naruto yearned for the love of his parents and now he was finally getting it, Kushina on the other hand had been waiting for this moment; she wished it was under better circumstances but it was better than nothing. At least now she finally had the chance to hold her baby boy once more, the last time had been in her dying days before the Kyuubi killed Minato and her.

After a while the two separated from their hug, Kushina could only admire her son and what a fine young man he turned out to be.

"I've always wanted to meet you Kaa-chan, there's so many things I've wanted to tell you" he said.

Kushina smiled warmly at the blonde, "I'm sure there is, well good thing we have a lot of time to talk" she replied.

For the next few hours the two of them just talked and they got to know each other more and more. Naruto kind of wished he had this opportunity with his dad but that was a whole other situation where he had to stop him from breaking the fox's seal prematurely. Now however Naruto had lots of time to talk with his mother, but for most of the time Naruto listened in to his mother's stories about her childhood and how she met his father, and how they fell in love.

Naruto laughed and smiled at the romantic story, in a way , his parents did remind him of him and Sakura, the story and the mannerisms were eerily similar. Soon after that Naruto then told Kushina about his life, this time the mood turned sombre but Naruto made sure to tell his mother just how much things have changed.

Kushina was naturally angry at first at how the villagers treated her own son, but she was glad to learn that they eventually saw the error of their ways. She was then surprised to learn the rest about Naruto's life, all his friends and comrades, the pranks he pulled, the insane and memorable missions he's partaken in, how he already became the Hokage, and how he got himself two girlfriends.

Of course Kushina mostly focused on the latter two, Naruto told her the story about how he was inducted as Hokage at such an early age. Kushina couldn't feel prouder of her son, so young and he's already achieved her dream and he was already following in the footsteps of his own father.

After telling her the story of how he became Hokage, he then told her about the story of him and his two girls. Kushina listened intently with a knowing grin on her face, despite the wee hiccups he had with Sasuke in the mix, everything else seemed to remind Kushina about her and Minato, and from what she's heard about Ino and Sakura, she really liked the girls. From their monstrous strength to her uncontrollable temper, and to her exotic shade of hair colours, Kushina began to see more and more of herself in the girls. She was relieved to know that someone was disciplining her son the way she would have, she was confident that he was in good hands.

"And that's about everything with Ino-chan, Sakura-chan and me" Naruto concluded with a blush on his cheeks.

"Well I like the girl, it's a shame I can't meet them. I'd love to see them even once" replied Kushina.

Naruto frowned, "Yeah I wish you could meet her too, I'm sure you three will get along quite well"

"I think so too sochi, I really do"

"So anyway mom there's something else I want to ask you, what's with those chains a while ago. They were awesome"

Kushina chuckled, "They're actually a special jutsu reserved for the Uzumaki Clan, but you can't learn it, you have wild amounts of chakra even for an Uzumaki and people are born with the ability to use these chains and you did not inherit that from me." she said.

Naruto had a sad expression as he couldn't learn his clan's jutsu, watching this Kushina spoke "But don't worry, I will leave my memories with you before I go, so that you can learn my Kenjutsu Style without any hassle and also so that Uzumaki Traditions can continue with you."

"Before you go?" he asked with a sad expression. "This can't last forever can it?"

Kushina sighed before shaking her head, "You and I both know it can't, you still have a lot of work to do and I'm running out of time. I've done my role Naruto and the rest is up to you, there are millions of lives counting on you" she answered.

Tears began to stream down his face one more time; he knew that his time with his mother was running out. He was glad to have had this moment but this goodbye was harder than anything he's ever had to do. All he wanted to do was continue to spend time with his mother but he knew that she was right, he still had unfinished business to take care of and she completed her role in all this.

"I love you sochi, I'm sorry I wasn't there for a large majority of your life. If I could've I would've"

"Don't worry Kaa-san I know, I've only really met you a few hours ago but I can say this, I couldn't have asked for a better Kaa-san. I love you"

Kushina smiled before fading away, Naruto sighed knowing that this was probably the last time he was ever going to see his real mother. Soon his surroundings changed, he returned back to the sewer and there he found Kurama lying on the ground with chains holding him down.

The Hokage sighed deeply; he was finally at peace and he knew what he had to do now. After meeting his mother and spending time with her, his anger towards Madara increased tenfold for taking that away from him, and after looking at Kurama, he quickly started to take all of his chakra once again and succeeded this time, he put the Torii Fuin (Torii Seal) to seal Kurama and his Chakra so that he could freely access it until Kurama regains his powers.
