Drew sniffled and stared at the 'For Sale' sign in the front yard through the living room window. He crossed his arms then kicked the wall.
"Hey," Jay snapped and looked over from packing the picture frames from the entryway into a box, "No."
Drew tilted his head back, "I'm-"
"Mad, I know," Jay finished for him, "But you do not kick the house."
"Because we have to sell it?" Drew mumbled.
"Yeah, because we have to sell it," Jay nodded. He pointed to the entertainment center, "Pack up the video games."
Drew whined, "But what if I need them?"
"Then we'll unpack them when you need them," Jay said, "Let's go."
Drew sighed and whispered, "You're mean."
Jay closed his eyes in annoyance briefly, but said nothing and continued packing away the pictures. He hesitated when he pulled down his and Hailey's wedding picture and took a deep breath.
"Blake Henry."
Jay looked up to see Blake sliding down the stairs on his stomach laughing. He quickly reached over the gate and grabbed him.
"Where are you going?" Jay asked.
Blake talked quietly and pointed to the ground, "Dada."
Jay raised an eyebrow, "Were you listening to Mom?"
"No," Hailey sighed and opened the gate with one hand and holding a box of stuffed animals in the other.
"Hailey, what the hell?" Jay breathed and grabbed the box from her, "You can't-"
"I'm fine, I'm fine," Hailey put her hand up, "You're going to have to let me help while moving."
"I want you to take it easy," Jay shook his head.
"I'm fine," Hailey repeated and kissed her cheek. She grabbed Blake to set him on the ground.
Blake quickly toddled away the best he could over to the few toys Hailey had left out in the living room.
"Teaching our kid to walk before we move might not have been the best idea," Jay sighed.
Hailey let out a breath, "He'll be fine."
Jay scoffed and returned to packing the pictures.
Hailey frowned as she watched him. She spotted their wedding picture in the box and pulled it out.
"Wasn't that long ago, was it?" Jay asked absentmindedly.
Hailey glanced up at him, "When it was just the two of us in your dingy-ass apartment?"
Jay laughed, "I wouldn't say it was dingy."
"It was dark and small," Hailey put the picture back in the box. She rubbed her stomach and whispered, "It was. Your dad loved brown."
Jay softened and smiled at her, "She kicking you?"
Hailey nodded and took his hand to place it to her side, "Feel it?"
Jay's face lit up, "Yeah. Drew, you want to feel your sister?"
"Absolutely not," Drew answered without looking up from packing away the video games.
Hailey tried hiding the hurt on her face and placed her hand next to Jay's.
"Hey," he whispered, "He's just upset about all of this." He waved his hand around to indicate the box of pictures at their feet and the few boxes already packed and labeled in the corner of the hallway.
Hailey shrugged and stepped back.
"Hailey," Jay grabbed her wrist.
"He won't touch me," she breathed, "Whenever she's kicking, he won't touch my stomach."
"He told us long ago that he thought being pregnant was weird," Jay reminded her, "He doesn't hate the baby at all, he's just uncomfortable."
"Right, right," Hailey sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She groaned shaking her head, "Sorry, I'm just…I don't know."
Jay sadly smiled and nodded, "I get it. You've got a lot going on."
"We all do, though," Hailey said.
"You're the only one growing a human," Jay pointed out.
Hailey rolled her eyes, "It's not that hard."
Jay laughed and hugged her, "Should I tell you that when you're kicking around in the bed tonight because your back hurts and you want strawberry ice-cream? Because I definitely remember you saying this was no joke back in the first trimester."
"It did get harder," Hailey rubbed her face, "Oh my god, I'm going to die."
"You won't die," Jay kissed her forehead, "Everything's going to be fine."
"What if she's gigantic?" Hailey asked, "What if they need to slice me open and pull her out? What if she has two heads? What if I never give birth and she just grows inside of me forever?"
Jay tried not to laugh as he brushed his fingers through her hair, "That's not going to happen. We've seen a couple ultrasounds, she has one head."
"But they might still need to slice me open," Hailey whined.
"Pretty sure it's called a c-section," Jay stepped back and took her hands, "Do you want to go lay on the couch? Or do you want to practice some of those new birthing positions? Maybe that'll help you calm down. I can rub your back again, you liked that earlier."
"Oh god," Hailey rolled her eyes, "That was humiliating."
"Rubbing your back?" Jay asked.
"That whole class," Hailey said, "My legs were all spread out and I felt like people were staring at me."
"If they were staring at you, they clearly weren't doing their own exercises," Jay shook his head, "Or the husbands were sick freaks and I will kick some ass next week when we go back."
Hailey cracked a smile then put her hand on the side of his face, "Thank you."
"I'm serious," Jay said.
"I know," Hailey laughed softly and reached up to kiss him, "I'll go start packing some of the dishes."
"The dishes?" Drew yelled.
They both looked over at Drew leaning over the back of the couch watching them.
"Were you eavesdropping?" Jay asked.
"You were having a conversation right there," Drew pointed, "I'm obviously going to listen and I already finished putting the games away."
"Doo," Blake said while pulling those same video games out of the box.
Drew groaned and clenched his fists, "I hate moving! I just put those away, Blake Henry!"
Blake looked up at him with wide eyes.
"I don't care!" Drew continued yelling, "I don't care that I'm mean! Mom and Dad are making us leave our house and we have to put all our stuff in boxes and now Mom's going to pack away our plates! We're all going to have to eat like you!"
Blake's little nose scrunched up and he walked over to Drew. He yelled back at him then hit his leg.
"No, nope," Jay hurried over.
Blake continued hitting Drew's leg until Jay grabbed him.
Hailey ran over to Drew and pulled him off the couch, "Don't yell at him."
"He was hitting me!" Drew pointed at Blake.
Blake babbled back and pushed at Jay's arms. He kicked around and yelled out.
"Jay," Hailey said.
"I know," Jay sighed and carried Blake upstairs, "No, Blake, that was not nice."
Hailey waited until they were gone to look at Drew and purse her lips.
Drew looked away with a slight blush.
"Drew Alexander," Hailey said softly.
"I told you we shouldn't adopt him," Drew mumbled.
"Stop it," Hailey put her hand on Drew's arm, "You don't mean that."
"He hit me!" Drew yelled.
Hailey let out a breath, "And that wasn't nice, I know, but he's a baby."
"He can walk," Drew rolled his eyes, "He's not a baby. That's a baby." He pointed to her stomach.
"Drew," Hailey squeezed his arm, "Let's just sit for a minute."
"No," Drew looked over his shoulder at the stairs, "Do you think Dad's disciplining Buzz?"
"He might be," Hailey nodded, "But, Buzz is still very little. He doesn't understand what's going on."
"You know who else doesn't understand?" Drew asked. He didn't even wait for Hailey to say anything to answer his own question: "Me."
Hailey's face fell. She watched Drew look down at his hands and start picking at his fingers. He sniffled and blinked his eyes quickly.
"Hey," Hailey whispered before pulling him into a hug, "I know, honey, I know."
"It's not a good day," Drew said quietly.
"I can tell," Hailey sighed, "I'm so sorry that you're having such a hard time." She hesitantly set her hand on the back of Drew's head to hold him close to her.
"I just…this house…I don't like that it's looking empty," Drew wrapped his arms around her.
Hailey let out a breath and sat down with him on the couch, "I don't like it either."
"Then why are we doing it?" Drew asked.
"Because people are going to come look at it tomorrow and it needs to look clean," Hailey explained, "We want them to picture living here so they'll buy it."
Drew pulled back and wiped his face, "And what happens when they buy it?"
"Well," Hailey took a deep breath, "Then we have to hope the people who live in the house we bought are ready to leave so that we can go live there."
Drew tried to fight it, but a small smile did creep onto his face. He'd actually really liked the house, especially his room. The window was big and had the perfect view of the backyard. He already told Jay and Hailey how he knew he was going to watch the sky and the birds from there.
It made the idea of moving a little easier.
Hailey kissed his forehead and hugged him again, "I know it sucks," she glanced over to where she could still see the wedding picture leaning against the wall from its spot in the box, "We did lots of fun things in this house, but we will make new memories at the new house, I promise."
Drew nodded against her and took a deep breath, his small arms squeezing her tight.
Hailey smiled down at him and then looked back at the wedding picture. Next to it, she could just barely see the top of maybe the second most important picture in that box – even though she could just barely see the tree in the picture, she knew at the bottom of it were Jay and Drew sitting on the ground looking up at a blue jay the very first day they'd ever met. It didn't even show their faces, but Hailey loved the picture so much that she'd had no choice but to hang it with the others.
All the pictures in that box were special and held important places in her heart. A glance to the door Jay had carried her through several times reminded her of special moments that weren't captured in a frame once on that wall and now in the box – moments that Drew had said he'd wished he'd experienced with them.
"Drew," Hailey whispered, "I want you to go upstairs and put on your fanciest clothes."
Drew pulled away and scrunched up his eyebrows, "What?"
"Yeah," Hailey nodded, "Go up to your room and put on a fancy outfit; we're going to have a family wedding."
A quick smile flashed across Drew's face before he untangled himself from Hailey to run upstairs.
Hailey smiled after him then pushed herself off the couch to go up to the nursery.
Jay was sitting on the rocker with Blake on his knees. He was talking quietly and sternly to him and whatever he was saying was clearly making an impact because Blake was nodding along with tears coming down his face. Hailey highly doubted Blake understood the actually words Jay was saying, but he was pretty good at catching onto tones and facial expressions to know when someone was happy or upset.
Hailey knocked on the wall, "Hey, you two."
Jay looked up, "Hey."
Blake whimpered and reached out to touch Jay's face.
Jay turned back to him, "I love you."
Blake nodded and took a big breath. His small, chubby hands hit his face like he'd seen Drew do after crying to wipe his tears.
Jay smiled slightly then placed him on the floor.
Blake quickly walked to Hailey then hugged her legs.
"Hi, sweetheart," she said softly, "Thank you, but you're going to need to hug Drew too and say sorry."
"Doo," Blake whispered.
"Drew," Hailey nodded. She reached down to just barely brush her fingers along the top of his head.
Blake sighed then walked from the room.
Jay laughed quietly and shook his head, "He's dramatic."
Hailey looked up with a smile, "He's growing up with Drew and you as an example."
"Oh, I'm dramatic?" Jay chuckled, "Really?"
"Mhmm," Hailey teased. She went to the closet and looked for one of Blake's nicer outfits.
"What're you doing?" Jay asked.
"We need one last perfect memory in this house," Hailey said as she pulled out a small polo outfit, "So we're going to get married again."
Jay raised an eyebrow, "We're getting married?"
Hailey nodded and turned to toss Blake's outfit at him, "I want to renew our vows tonight in the living room with Drew and Blake."
Jay smiled wide, "That sounds like a great idea."
Hailey smiled back, "Do you think you can get Blake dressed and take care of yourself while I get ready?"
"Gonna put your wedding dress back on?" Jay teased.
Hailey rubbed her hands over her stomach, "Something like that."
"Okay, Mom!" Drew yelled up the stairs, "We're ready when you are!"
"Got it," Hailey laughed. She flipped her veil that she'd dug out of the top of their closet to cover her face. While there was no way her dress from almost four years ago would fit, the veil still definitely would. She paired it with a black skirt she'd barely worn and was honestly going to throw out when packing for the move, yet it was stretchy enough to accommodate her growing stomach so she figured she'd give it one last appearance. The diamond necklace Jay had bought her two Christmases before was settled on top of one of her few white shirts that was at its stretching point over her stomach. In part, she thought she looked ridiculous, but it was still fun.
Music started downstairs and Hailey smiled as she recognized it as the song she'd danced to with Jay on their first wedding day. She walked down the stairs and her smile widened at Jay in his wedding outfit standing in front of the fire place holding Blake with Drew at his side in the suit he'd worn to Adam and Kim's wedding and the original fedora he'd worn when he first came to their house.
"Mama!" Blake yelled with a laugh.
"Shh, she's beautiful," Drew whispered.
"I agree," Jay said without looking away from her even to blink.
Hailey stopped in front of them and Jay struggled with one hand to lift her veil, but he finally got there and chuckled. Just like when she'd met him at the end of the aisle in the park, she could see tears at the edges of his eyes – she'd be lying if she said she wasn't near tears either.
"Hi," Hailey breathed.
"Hi," Jay leaned forward to kiss her lightly.
"Wait, wait," Drew put a hand on each of their sides, "You can't just kiss, there are things to do first."
"Right, sorry," Jay chuckled.
"Mama," Blake repeated and puckered his lips.
Hailey laughed softly and kissed him too, "Hi, baby."
Drew pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and took a deep breath, "I made notes about weddings. First, Mom came down the aisle, so check for that. Now we need to say our promises."
"Do you want to go first?" Jay asked Hailey.
Drew quickly nodded, "Ladies first for everything. It's polite."
Hailey smiled at him and squeezed his arm before looking back to Jay. She took a deep breath, "Jay…life with you has been crazy and unpredictable and a little scary."
"I don't think this is right," Drew said quietly.
Hailey laughed, "Let me finish."
"Fine," Drew sighed and crossed his arms.
Jay winked at Hailey and grabbed her hand.
"But I love my life," Hailey continued softly, "I love my life because of you. I love waking up next to you and I loved working with you and I love being a parent with you." She turned to Drew, "I love that we made this decision to bring this perfect boy in our life. You are my everything, Drew," she whispered, "You really made Dad and I a family and you taught us so much about life and what it means to love someone. Loving Dad's the best decision I have ever made on my own, but loving you and Blake is the best decision Dad and I ever made together. I promise with everything inside of me-"
"Even the baby?" Drew breathed.
Hailey laughed and nodded, "Even the baby. I promise that I will always love you and protect you." She kissed his forehead then turned to Blake, "And I make that same promise to you," she kissed his nose and looked at Jay, "And I promise to always love and protect you too, husband."
Jay smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist to tug her just a few inches closer so he could kiss her.
Drew cleared his throat after a minute to say, "That's a lot of kissing."
Jay chuckled against Hailey's lips and pulled back, "I guess it's my turn to make a promise, right?"
"Right," Drew nodded.
"Well," Jay smiled at Hailey, "I vowed to love you forever four years ago and nothing about that has ever even wavered. You, Hailey Anne, are my past, my present, and my future. You are everything I ever wanted in not just a wife, but in a friend. You're my partner in every aspect of my life and I wouldn't want to go through any of this without you. So I promise to always uphold my vow to you and to follow you wherever and whenever because you are the brightest light I could ever want to follow."
Hailey wiped her eyes and pushed up on her tiptoes to kiss him.
Blake reached up to lightly pull at her veil and grab a handful of her hair.
Hailey laughed and looked at him, "You always need attention, don't you?"
Blake giggled and put his hand in his mouth.
"And you, mister," Jay chuckled while holding Blake up so they were at eye-level, "I vow to be the best dad you could ever want and to keep you safe and make sure you know that you are wanted every single day." He hugged him tightly to his shoulder then passed him to Hailey so he could kneel down in front of Drew.
Drew tried to smile and played with his fingers lightly.
Jay gently took his hands, "Why're you nervous?"
Drew shrugged, "I…" He let out a breath and shook his head.
"We met about two years ago, right?" Jay asked softly. He waited for Drew's nod to continue, "And you were this kid who walked into my house, sorta nervous like you are now, but you were a spitfire just like Mom was when I first met her."
Hailey laughed and put her hand on Jay's shoulder.
Jay chuckled and squeezed Drew's hands, "You knew what you wanted and weren't afraid to tell us. You told us you were different. Buddy…nothing about you has ever scared me which might sound weird because I pretty much became a dad over night because of you, but we all decided pretty early on that we were a team, remember?"
Drew nodded and looked in the kitchen, "Over there."
"Right," Jay smiled, "And because we were a team, I wasn't scared. I was nervous that you wouldn't like me, but I was never scared. I vow to help you always feel like you can get through anything just like you helped me – it's okay to be nervous, and being scared is okay too, but I will always be there for you when you get those feelings. I know moving kinda sucks; we're going to get through it, though, because we're a team."
Drew took a deep breath and glanced between everyone. He slipped his hands from Jay and held out his pinkies, "I want to make a pinky promise to everyone."
Hailey smiled and, with Jay's help, knelt next to them on the carpet. She helped Blake get his pinky out and linked it to Jay's before linking her pinky to Drew's.
"Dada," Blake giggled and put his free hand over his mouth until Drew grabbed it.
Once his pinky was linked with Blake's, Drew said softly, "I pinky promise to love everyone here forever. I really, really love our family like Mom was saying and I'm really happy every single day that this is where I live, so I pinky promise to do the best I can to show everyone how much I love them."
"I promise that too," Jay smiled.
"Same here," Hailey winked at Drew.
Drew laughed softly, "Well, now we're supposed to kiss, but I don't want to."
Jay smirked then asked, "How about this?" He easily wrapped Drew into a tight hug in his left side and hugged Hailey and Blake to his right. He squeezed them both and said, "Do we all promise to be the coolest, best family ever?"
Drew laughed harder and nodded, "I do."
Hailey kissed Jay's cheek, "I do."
"And I do too," Jay said then poked Blake's side, "What about you? Can you say 'I do?'"
Blake giggled and said, "Doo."
"Close enough," Jay laughed.
"It's the thought that counts," Hailey nodded.
"And I think he does love us," Drew said, "In his own way."
Hailey smiled at him and rested her head on Jay's shoulder closing her eyes when Jay pressed a soft kiss to her hair.
Drew tightened his hold on the both of them, "I love us."
The baby suddenly kicked and Hailey knew Drew felt it by the way he jumped away with a soft yell.
"What?" Jay sat up, "What happened?"
Hailey held back a laugh and looked at Drew, "You okay?"
Drew stared at her stomach then put a hand over his own stomach where he'd felt the baby kick through Hailey, "She kicked me."
"She did?" Jay smiled.
Drew nodded, "Whoa."
"Whoa's right," Hailey laughed, "That was a big one, huh?"
Drew frowned then hesitantly put his hand on Hailey's stomach. A minute later, the baby kicked again and Drew winced. He didn't move away, though, and continued looking at his hand.
"What do you think?" Jay asked.
"I think…I think she just wanted to join our family wedding," Drew said, "She was making her pinky promise too."
Hailey looked at Jay, "I completely agree with that."
Jay chuckled, "Well, then I think this wedding is over, right? All five of us made our pinky promises and now I think it's time we all did something to celebrate."
"Princess likes strawberry ice-cream, so let's do that," Drew said while standing up before heading into the kitchen.
"Princess?" Hailey repeated.
"Yeah," Drew smiled, "I don't know what kind of princess she is yet, but she's a princess. I don't think I'll name her Cinderella, though." He pulled the ice-cream out of the freezer.
Jay raised an eyebrow, "He's talking about the baby, right?"
Hailey weakly laughed and nodded.
Jay let out a breath, "Well, Princess is better than Puppy." He stood and helped Hailey up.
She snorted and shook her head, "You've been calling her a little birdy and now he's calling her a princess. She's going to have too many nicknames."
"We'll narrow it down, we still have a few months," Jay kissed her head and walked her and Blake to the kitchen table.
Hailey smiled at him as he helped Drew get the bowls and spoons out. She put her hand on her stomach where the baby was still kicking then looked at Blake, "What're you going to call her?"
Blake just smiled and clapped his hands together.
Hailey laughed softly, "Yeah, you're just happy, aren't you?"
Blake giggled with his tongue sticking out.
"It was so sticky, it was disgusting," Drew told Will that next day as they ate lunch at his apartment while the open house was going on.
"It wasn't bad," Jay smirked and put more pieces of strawberry in front of Blake.
"I don't know," Hailey said once she'd swallowed her bite of sandwich, "His hair was all gooey in the tub."
"Oh," Will laughed, "He even got the ice-cream in his hair?"
Blake laughed too as if he knew they were talking about his mess the night before.
"So," Will glanced to his clock, "Should be wrapping up soon, huh? What if it sells?"
"The other house is ours by the end of next week, so fingers crossed they don't want us out too fast," Jay said.
"But what if they do?" Drew bit his lip.
Jay shrugged, "We'll figure it out."
"You guys can move in here for a bit," Will nudged Drew's shoulder, "It'll be fine."
"Will," Hailey laughed, "We cannot all fit here."
"It's fine," Will smiled, "It could be fun."
Hailey was going to reply again when her phone rang. She glanced at it then pushed back from the table to walk away and answer it.
"We're not moving in here for a week," Jay shook his head.
"It's just a back-up plan," Will poured out more chips onto his plate, "We all need one."
"Where would I sleep?" Drew asked.
"Uh," Will looked around, "I guess you could sleep on the couch-"
"Oh, no," Drew scrunched his nose up, "I'll sleep on a bed."
"Uncle Will just has two beds," Jay pointed out.
"I can share," Drew said, "Mom and I shared a bed while you were gone and I've slept in your bed with you there too. It's fine."
"And Blake?" Jay asked amused.
"He sleeps on the ground," Drew rolled his eyes, "He just needs a blanket and a stuffed animal."
Hailey poked her head out from the hallway and said, "Jay?"
He stood and hurried over to her.
"What do you think that's for?" Drew asked once they were around the corner again.
"I don't know," Will slid Blake's sippy cup closer to him and watched him drink the water.
"Do you think this real estate lady is really selling my house right now?" Drew pushed his empty plate away so he could put his elbows on the table.
"She's trying," Will nodded, "Are you still against moving?"
"Obviously," Drew sighed, "But after our wedding last night, I guess my life will be fine."
Will chuckled, "Your life will be fine, I promise you."
Drew silently held up his pinky.
"This is your thing, isn't it?" Will asked while linking his pinky to Drew's.
"It's a serious promise," Drew nodded.
"Of course," Will looked at Blake, "What about you? Do you want to move?"
Blake stopped eating and held out a handful of mushy strawberries to him.
"No thank you," Will shook his head.
"No," Blake repeated then put the strawberries in his mouth.
"So did you land on a name for your sister?" Will asked.
Drew glanced up from pulling apart his napkin, "What do you mean?"
"Did you pick out a name for your sister yet?" Will leaned back in his chair.
"No, but I'm going to call her Princess for now," Drew said, "I don't know which princess I'll name her after, but I think I'll do that."
Will raised an eyebrow, "Like…Cinderella?"
Drew shook his head, "Did you know that not all countries have presidents? I'm learning a little about it in school. I think my sister will be smart enough to be a real princess. She's going to rule a country. It's called a monarchy, but it is not at all like the butterfly."
Will smiled, "That's a cool idea, bud."
"I think so too," Drew smiled back, "So I need to do research on different princesses and pick one. Do you think you can take me to the library?"
"I'd definitely do that," Will nodded.
"Thank you," Drew looked satisfied with himself as he settled back in his own chair and finished his glass of apple juice.
Jay and Hailey came back into the kitchen a moment later both looking slightly shocked, but happy.
"Everything okay?" Will asked.
Hailey just laughed and looked at Jay. Her mouth gaped as she ran a hand through her hair.
"We – uh – we sold the house," Jay leaned against a chair, "The real estate agent said they're looking to move quickly because of a job and are offering right under our asking price."
"Wait, wait," Drew held his hand up, "You said you sold it, but they didn't ask the right amount of money."
Jay nodded, "We put the price a little over what the house really is to try to get more money-"
"That's not nice," Drew said.
"That's how it works," Jay shrugged, "And it sort of worked because what they're offering is a good price for the house."
"So it's sold?" Will asked.
Hailey nodded, "It's sold. We need to sign papers this week, but," she looked at Jay and her smile widened, "We did it."
Drew groaned quietly and poked at his plate.
Jay set a hand on his shoulder and squeezed gently.
"I know," Drew sighed, "I'm fine. I'm frustrated, but I'm fine."
"We'll figure it out," Jay said softly.
Hailey sat back down and sipped her water, "It's exciting. We're going to live next to Cara now, I think that'll be a lot of fun."
Drew smiled slightly, "I guess that's true."
Jay patted Drew's back then sat next to Blake. He couldn't keep the smile off his face as he finished eating. Every once in a while, he'd shoot a look toward Hailey who would just laugh and shake her head.
"Gonna move in with me?" Will asked.
Jay laughed, "I really hope not."
"Could be fun," Will said.
"Could also be a disaster," Jay nodded.
Will chuckled, "Whatever. Are you happy?"
Jay exchanged another smile with Hailey then nodded, "I am."
"Very happy," Hailey added.
They all looked to Drew who sighed, "I'm not super happy that we're moving, but I do believe everyone who said I'm going to be okay. And I guess I do want to live by Cara."
Hailey relaxed and reached over to grab his hand, "You are going to be okay. Dad and I wouldn't ever do anything bad to you, that includes moving into a bad place."
"I know," Drew let out a breath.
Hailey brushed her thumb over the back of his hand, "Do you want a cookie?"
Drew smiled, "I guess that'll make me feel better."
Will laughed and stood up, "I'll go get the Oreos."
"My favorite," Hailey winked toward Drew.
Jay pulled Blake on his lap, "Looks like we're going to be packing a lot this week."
"Can't we just finish lunch with good, happy thoughts?" Drew groaned, "I don't want to think about packing all my stuff up."
"All right, that's fair," Jay chuckled softly, "We'll talk about it when we get back home."
Drew nodded slightly and frowned.
Hailey scooted closer to him and hugged him to her side. "It'll be okay," she whispered.
"I know," Drew said.
Jay nodded and bounced Blake on his knee.
Hailey glanced to him and held back her smile.
Jay tried not to laugh as well.
Marriage…babies…forever home. They really were doing it.
A/N: Hi :) I really am so, so sorry that this is so late. Life got in the way and then I've been a mess the past four days. I'm trying to get back to normal. Still, I really am sorry. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, though :) Thank you for still reading and sticking around, you have no idea how much your support means to me.
