A/N: I feel like this story will rap up soon. I feel like it will only have a few more chapters.
February 20th
William's Point of View
January came and went, and February was going by quite quickly. There was only eight days left in the month. The unicorn hairs I had gathered according to Flamel needed to sit in the moonlight for forty-five days while the thestrals hair needed to sit in the sun for twenty days. Because of that today was basically the day he would add the both of them to the potion.
I didn't have anything on my calendar this Wednesday, so I decided to come today and see what he does to them. I still didn't know what he was making, I did look in the library for potions that involve the ingredients on the list he gave me, but I couldn't find anything. I guessed that what he was making was a potion of his own creation, which was quite exciting.
I was getting close to his office; he did say he would wait for me to start. Opening the door, I noticed he was waiting for me like he said he would, "I see you're excited to see what happens." I nodded, "of course I am! Especially since it's a mystery what's brewing." He made a tutting noise and traveled to a countertop on the wall near the shelves.
I did notice there were some shrivelfig, those he probably got from snape, "Any guesses on what it could be?" Shaking my head, I walked over so I stood next to him, "No sir, I couldn't find the potion in a tome, so my guess is it's something you created. That being said, I haven't really seen all of the potions progress, and I haven't really looked into many specifics about potion creating. I really don't even think thestral hair is a potion ingredient."
"It's not normally used, but sometimes it can be useful for potions like this." He took out two different knives, one of them looked like a silver one, and the other looked like it was made of gold, real gold, "You may not know this, but if you cut a unicorns hair cleanly In two with a specifically enchanted golden knife. It releases a liquid that can heal quite a lot of wounds quite quickly."
He showed me what he meant and the liquid secreted did look silvery, though it didn't quite look or smell like unicorn blood, "What is the enchantment?" I asked as he was doing the same thing for the other hairs, "It's honestly been a long time, and I have really forgotten what the spell it was. I just remember the knife was enchanted." I guess that's old people problems for you. He was like almost a Melina old. It made some sense he would forget things eventually.
"The thestral hairs need to sit in a shrivelfig solution." Wordlessly, he pulled out his wand and pointed to the fruits and a bowl. The fruits turned into a liquid with a color exactly the same as the fruit itself, purple. He put the thestral hair into the solution and then performed a tempus charm, "It's four o two now so at four thirty-two it should be done sitting."
He turned back to me, "The both of the liquids need to be added at the same time so I'll need your help for that." The interactions between ingredients were complex. I really couldn't understand why he wanted to place both of these in the same time. It could either be that he had already made this before or he was trying this after years of research for the first time, "Have you made this before professor?" He nodded, "It was a few hundred years before." Oh, so this was crafted and done before I was born. Well, what did you expect? The dude is seven hundred years old.
March 1st
Cristian's Point of View
It was time for the easter holidays. This time easter was held on the fourth of march, meaning that we start break today. Today we were going to my house for the holidays. It was decided that we would go to my house for easter and then we were going to spend half of summer with my family, and half with willa's. Starting with my family, and then me staying in Volterra with her.
Of course, willa wanted to get to know my mom dad and my annoying little sister, so she was coming. And will was coming because willa was coming, so mom and dad was picking us up. Apparently though Felix and Demetri were going to guard the house. I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about that. Actually, scratch that, I did, "But my home is safe."
She looked thoughtful for a second, "Well… it might be safe, but so is Volterra, even though it's a place that the Romanians would try to attack at the first chance. There safe for different reasons." I just decided to look out at the hills and valleys passing by from the train. I mean, I liked Demetri and Felix. They were good friends, and I kind of got the fact will and willa were raised around the guard to protect them but still.
"Look, just because you've been safe there before doesn't exactly make it inherently safe now." I groaned, "Why does your family have so many enemies?! Can't everyone just get along?" Will chuckled slightly and returned to his book, "As much as I'd love for that to be the case. It's not, people just can't get along."
A/N: Does anyone know what Flamel is making? There is rhyme and reason to what it is. Read, Vote, Follow, Fav, Review, or whatever you want to do.
