Chapter 1

In a village, not far away from the city of Orario, born a boy. Thought to have possessed great talents, extraordinary capabilities and raw attributes that he will awaken in the distant future, for he was blessed by Zeus. He was raised by his parents greatly, but tragedy strucked, both his parents was murdered; he was close to dying, but his grandfather had made it in time, and scared off the murderers before they had the chance to attack. With all that, the group of murderers were satisfied with their revenge, but little did they know, they were the key to unlocking the start of a story, a story of a boy named Bell Cranel.

After that incident, the person that was now raising Bell was his grandfather. He took care of Bell with all his heart and trained him how to fight, in which he talked to him with some things, "Look kid, you should not use fighting for abusing and bullying others, instead use it to protect yourself, your loved ones, your friends, and chicks" Bell nodded, but he ignored the last part, his grandpa continued, "You should also know how to take a hit, if you get insulted or ridiculed, you should always hold back and be on the defensive...". He continued talking until Bell fell asleep.

Bell trained, day after day, with his grandpa being happy for the growth of his grandson.

I need to get strong, so I would have the power to protect things that are precious to me. I need to be strong!

But tragedy struck, yet again, for his grandfather became missing, and the vilagers concluded he was dead. He was only 14 at that time. He was so affected by this incident, that their neighbors thought he's dead too for he was also missing for 3 days after his grandpa passed away, unbeknownst to them, Bell actually ran to Oraria when he heard the news, specifically, the dungeon inside the city. Luckily he was training at that time and still has his dagger in which because of his experience due to training throughout the years put it to the test. He breezed through the floors killing monsters and making sure to pick up their magic stones, and made it to Floor 5. He knew he had to surface and exchange the magic stones for food as he had not eaten for a while. Suddenly, he heard some thing...

'...What was that?' he continued walking and as soon as he was off-guard, he was knocked against the wall. He easily recovered and then saw a half-man, half-bull. He gone and faced it head to head, but to know avail, he was overpowered and almost has been knocked unconscious.

Is this my end? I shouldn't have ran off from the despair, I should've just accepted the fact that he's gone, *sigh* don't worry mom, dad and grandpa, I'll follow you soon.

He saw a flash of light coming from the chest of the monster he fought, the blood from the monster bathe him as it was almost cut in half, and with this shock, he became unconcious.

"W-Where am I?" Bell said, he looked around and found that someone was approaching him, "Are you okay? Don't worry, you're safe now." the unknown person stated. After that he saw that the person talking to him was a girl, with beautiful golden hair, golden eyes and has a slender body; her looks is what most men would desire. Then they had a chat.

"I'm sorry for being a bother to you" Bell said with a regret and at the same time gratefulness, in which she replied with "No, I should be the one that needs to apologize for letting the minotaurs escape to the upper levels. So, I'm sorry.".

She asked Bell what is his name, for wanting to know more about him, "It's Bell Cranel, what about you?" he replied.

"I'm Ais... Ais Wallenstein"

"Nice to meet you Miss Ais" he said with a slight smile

"Nice to meet you too"

They chatted for a while until Bell got up and starting to get his stuff.

"Where are you going?" Ais asked.

"I'm now leaving, I spent to much time in here and it's kinda embarrassing if I stayed even longer"

"But you haven't fully recovered yet"

"I'll be fine, I've been living alone for quite a while now"

"Okay, take care" Ais said with a small smile, which made Bell's cheeks tint light red.

Both then said their goodbyes and moved on their seperate ways. As he exited the hospital, he remembered something.

I should go to the Guild Building or something in order to exchange the magic crystals that I got from the dungeon, I also need to go the dungeon in a daily basis if I want to survive on my own, or at least find a job with enough pay to sustain me.

-Somewhere in Orario-

"I think he has potential Ais, he told ya that it was his first battle that has a pretty powerful opponent right? And he lasted for a while and managed to land hits on it."

"Probably."

"Aww c'mon ya asked his name and chatted with him, heck ya saw him battle yourself and took care of that stranger when he was hospitalized, and yet ya'r thinkin' twice." Ais just stared at him then walked away and while saying "I'm going to go eat dinner.".

-Meanwhile, Bell arrived at the Guild Building and was exchanging his magic crystals-

"All of it is worth 10000 valis... wait, I haven't saw you registering here, you aren't an adventurer are you?"

"Yes, I'm not an adventurer."

"Then how did you get these magic crystals?" Bell felt like she's concerned about him

"I got it in the du... *sigh* I forgot where I obtained it." he replied

"Well, if you say so, but what's with those injuries?"

"I just happen to ran into a wall at full speed." he then left

He was thinking why that girl was concerned about him then moments later just forgot about it and proceeded to eat dinner and then found a place to stay...
