Chapter 2: The First Trial

Looking between the blade in my hand, and the monster in front of me, I couldn't help the frown that formed into my face.

The first step into a greater path.

The first weapon that all young promises for the Jedi and the Sith must wield before being considered worthy of a Lightsaber.

This is the beginning of my journey, I know that, but this trashy equipment needs to be replaced as soon as possible.

The bug didn't think too much about it before throwing itself at me, but I was ready with the Training Sword pointing forward.

The dumb beast just impaled itself head-first into the blade!

[Critical Hit]!

Skill Gained:

-[Sword Proficiency] (Amateur): LV 1/10

The path of the sword is an arduous one.

You somewhat know how to handle a sword by yourself.

You have [Killed] (1) K'lor'slug!

[50 EXP]!

EXP?

Each enemy [killed] or [Quest] completed will reward you with a certain amount of EXP that helps to level-up.

The amount gained is equal to the importance or difficulty of the task.

And how much EXP do I need to pass to level 2?

Dante Wolf.

LV - 1 (50/150)

Oh. Cool. Just need to kill 2 more of these maggots to pass to level 2.

[You have detected bloodlust towards you]!

Sadly, that was all the warning I had before another one of the bugs bursted out of the sand right behind me.

"SKRAAHHH"swinging his claws, the bug hurt me.

[-30 HP]!

"GAAHH! FUCKING CUNT!" I roared out, turning on my heel while swinging my sword in reattilation.

The monster was cut at half of his length, but it was still alive.

LV - 1

HP - 20/50

The upper half tried to crawl over to me, but I just saw red.

This fucker hurt me!

"GET OVER HERE!" Somehow, I just...pulled the creature to me, and with a slash I chopped it's head off.

'Get over here'!

An ability granted by the Force itself, allowing the user to pull objects towards them.

The difficulty of the task is dependent on the size or weight of the target, and so the level of the skill.

Ugh, this skill doesn't have an actual level cap. Curious.

Painontheback!

I hissed in pain somewhat, waiting for the HP to go back to normal. And meanwhile, to keep my mind occupied I started experimenting with this new skill.

[Sin of Wrath] is a pain in the ass, but leaving that aside I can actually start thinking for myself.

I am in Star Wars!

Not only that, but I can actually use all the cool Force Abilities that until yesterday were only a distant dream to me.

Really, having chosen my first world to be Star Wars gave me a lot of opportunities to gain power.

I need more power.

Not only I have my Summoner Class that the [System] granted me, but I am also a Juggernaut. I am actually covering two positions that a respectable party must always cover in MMORPGs. Magic and physical strength combined are actually pretty broken, ask Natsu.

And apart from all that, the Force itself gives me a lot of venues. There are the different branches of Sith Magic I can explore, such as Sith Alchemy and the like. And being a Sith I must be able to easily learn Force Lightning and it's evolutions, and a lot other powers.

I can actually cover a lot of the specializations the [Game] offered me at the beginning if I master the Force.

5 INT, 5 WIS for thinking ways to gain more power.

Everything is coming around.

[You have detected bloodlust towards you]!

Now... I actually felt something different.

Directly stabbing my blade into the ground, I am not surprised to see the ooze popping out of it.

[Critical Hit]!

You have [Killed] (1) K'lor'slug!

[50 EXP]!

You have leveled up!

Dante Wolf

Level - 2 (0/300)

Huh, nice. Although all this continuous notifications are going to get annoying really fast. Actually...they already got annoying. Never mind.

Now, if my maths are right, I can at least safely summon either 3 Golems or Elementals right away...but I contain myself. Many Acolytes running around for my tastes. Maybe when I am inside the tomb.

Speaking of which, I think now is the time. I need to get this over quickly if I want to catch Varas' attention the sooner

The tomb reminds me a lot of those pyramids of egypt. Big entrance with a lot of extravagance on the inside, making somewhat easy to forget the vicious monsters that crawl inside this place.

[Quest] Added!

[Raiders of the Lost Blade]

Objective - Make it to the Overseer Tremel office alive with a War Blade in your hands.

Rewards - War Blade, fame in the academy, 1000 EXP.

Bonus Objectives - Kill 10 K'lor'slugs.

Bonus Reward - Gacha Token.

Wait, what? There is a Gacha on this thing.

From a simple pebble, to Ea itself, the Gacha has infinite options.

It all depends on fate itself.

"I AM MOTIVATED!"

Maybe screaming it aloud wasn't the wisest decision to say…

"SCREEEWWWW!"

Just doing the opposite of Force Pull, I make the bug bump itself against a wall, making some damage to it.

Now with my Blade ready, I snarl at the creature before running towards it.

I will not lie and said I masterfully bisected the bug. I just stuck it with the pointy end until it was dead.

You have [Killed] (1) K'lor'slug!

[60 EXP]!

The creature just stood there, cold and unmoving. Not a once of guilt flowing from me. These things are a plague wherever they are.

Without further ado, and with less eyes looking over me, I decided to try my Summoner class.

"Summon - Fire Elemental."

Using magic is actually different from using a Force Technique. if i had to describe it, it would be like a goosebump just quickly coursed over my body. The next thing I knew was that a sparkle presented next to me, before exploding into a fire, which rapidly took a humanoid form.

The elemental had a slender form, and that's it. It was just fire sculpted into a humanoid form.

The same goosebump, but instead of a spark peebles around be and...even parts of the bug I just killed started to gather themselves into a pile, which soon left something close to a mannequin of my same height. Made of both rocks and monster bits.

Huh. I actually thought these guys will have the same stats. But while the Elemental is faster, the Golem is the most powerful out of the two. Well, each will have their uses.

"Let's go boys, we have a weapon to obtain" I told my two minions, before embarking myself into the tomb.

XxXxX

The tomb was tedious!

I actually expected something more exciting, but well, that may be my growing sociopathic persona talking.

Looking behind me, I grinned at the 8 summons following obediently behind me.

Apparently that requirement of 5 WIS per Elemental or Golem weren't stackable. So I can actually summon 4 and 4 of each, and the number will just keep growing.

I now had Elementals of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth following behind me. Each one just a humanoid petite form made of the respective elements. And although all their stats were surprisingly the same I didn't care. I just wanted to own the whole set.

As for my Golems, three of them are made of pretty much rocks and bug pieces, their stats the same also, but for my fourth one…

I found some droid pieces scattered around the tomb, and having both Water and Earth Elementals carrying around the parts I was able to finally get enough pieces to create my current favorite.

I have completed since a while back the bonus objective regarding the bugs, but for some reason I haven't heard a bell or received a notification regarding it. So my theory is that I would not be able to receive the award until I get to Tremel's. Which will soon be completed by the way.

Finally, after an hour and a half, I was able to enter the armory of this accursed place.

Just like in the game, just one War Blade was left in the rack.

Without any doubt in myself, I approach the altar where the war blade is waiting for me.

Taking it on my hands I measure the weight and do a couple of practice swings.

This can be somewhat problematic...if I didn't have my boys as a back-up.

"Bois, sick them!"

Immediately after my 4 Elementals ganged up on one of the droids, my 3 Golems into another and my champ Metal into a third one, leaving me by myself with the other two.

Not wasting any time, and trying to avoid all of them to group together, I pull my own with me to the shrine.

With my War Blade in hand, I immediately cut the arm holding the balster of one and to the other I kicked it in the chest, making it miss its mark on me.

In an arc of destruction, I cut off the head of the damaged one and with a Force Push I throwed the other one all the way back to the bottom of the stairs.

Apparently my boys finished the moment I did, Fire Elemental having lent a helping hand to Metal Golem once it and the rest of its siblings made sure to prepare their own droid.

With my objective completed here, and pretty much all I needed falling into place, I Just looked at my boys without any idea of what to do with them. It is not like I could bring them all along with me to the academy, but I was also rather uncertain of leaving them behind on this tomb.

What to do?

You can always deposit your Summons, loot and any other thing in your [Inventory]. It has infinite space.

I have an Inventory? How is it this the first time I heard about this?!

You didn't ask about it, so I avoided the subject.

That one is on me, I admit it. How do I do it?

Just think about the object you want to store. And when you want to pull it out just think the opposite.

"This is rather intuitive" I thought to myself, watching as my boys bleeped out of existence for the time being. Although, now that I am on that train of thought, the Apprentice Sword is also going into Inventory.

"Now to see the future corpse" without preamble I just went through the Tomb. For some reason no more of those bugs crossed my path. Although it doesn't really matter.

The moment I passed through the exit of the Tomb, the intense heat of the planet made me groan in exasperation.

I vow to myself that I will not return to this sandbox until it is time to kill Varas. This I promise to maintain!

Just following the flow of people in this rock, the way to the Academy is rather easy to find. The fact that it is the largest building helped a little on the matter.

Crossing those gates, passing by the guards...it just takes me back to the first time I played the game on my second hand laptop. Those were easier times back in high school.

Instinctively knowing the way to Tremel, I mentally prepare myself for the talks that are to come.

Nodding to the two sentries at the hallway to Tremel's, I can already see those two idiots waiting for me.

"I am going to enjoy being able to spill their blood."

"Hey there, Acolyte. Hold on a moment, let me get a look at you." Vemrin is the first to call me out.

Meanwhile, his goon is shifting from one foot to another.

"Hmm. So you are Overseer Tremel's secret weapon huh? Impressive, to be sure" although you don't sound anything but. "Afraid the old man waited too long to make his move, though."

"Tremel's own agenda is of no interest to me," I replied coldly. "Our interests are aligned at the moment, so that's why I work with him. The moment that stops to be case, well...let's just say a new Overseer will be needed here" I am bored with these guys. "If I were you, I would be more worried about myself instead of the delusions of a corpse-to-be."

The way these two dogs look at me in trepidation is something I relish myself in. It is intoxicating to be able to produce such emotions on someone else.

Without another word on my part I simply pass these clowns and into Tremel's office.

The moment my foot crossed into the room, I received the notification.

"You have returned...Acolyte" Tremel said with a hint of satisfaction in his tone, no doubt already seeing my potential as a future weapon.

The fool.

His daughter for her part just scoffs slightly at her father, her eyes never leaving me.

"Tell me, how do you like your new blade?" His time was rather eager on this part.

"I hope to drown it in blood soon enough, Overseer" I replied shortly, with a dismissive gesture.

I am really turning into a monster. And there is nothing I can do to avoid it.

"What are you doing father?" As a spoiled child, the daughter was rather upset. "I only just got my blade and I have been here for six months."

"This, a grown-up talk. Do not intervene in it" I told her directly, gaining her anger in the process.

"There are reasons for this, Eskella" Tremel intervened. "And you will not breathe a word of this to anyone. Do you hear?"

Damn dude. You just threatened your daughter. I mean, I did it but she is not mine at least.

"Yes. Yes father" Eskella was rather quick to be brought to heel. It seems their personal history has more of these moments.

"Acolyte, this is Eskella, my daughter. She is one of the advanced students here and on her way to becoming a Sith. If she minds herself" the pride in his time was evident. More so from himself rather than for his daughter.

"I will keep quiet about your new charge, father. But I won't be there when it blows on your face."

Those hostile words were her own cue to get out of her father's office, her departure bringing a new atmosphere to the room.

"Now that the brat is gone, tell me why I am really here. There were a couple of clowns outside this hallway waiting for me" I go straight to the point, hating those types of characters with the professor persona that actually had their own agenda regarding their students' talents.

Yeah, Ozma was going to fall when I went for him.

"That must be Vemrin and one of his goons," Tremel explained. "He is the top student here at the academy, and on his way to becoming an Apprentice to Darth Baras" his voice took an edge at that name.

"Friend of yours?" I ask calmly.

"A nuisance mostly" he dismisses, he actually dismisses the bad guy of this storyline. "Now, you must proceed to your next trial immediately. I want you to interrogate three prisoners in the Academy jail and decide their fates."

"Good. Bringing pain and desperation into someone's soul is something I delight in" I replied with a savage grin.

My God, I am really becoming a monster.

"Go to the academy prison, speak to head jailer Knash and return to me after you have passed judgment on the prisoners" with a simple gesture, he bids me away.

ME.

HE bids ME away. The temptation is back again, but I control it. I must at least be able to do this.

Also, now is as a good time as any to see what the Gacha To-

"At last we meet, Outsider."

Slowly, on the verge of panic, I moved my head to the origin of the voice, noticing how everything but myself has acquired a gray color.

White skin with red marks over his face, his eyes were of a sickening red. His clothes looked like living shadows, morphing around his frame.

I didn't want to do it, but I must be sure...Observe.

"Did-Did The Father send you to smithe me?" I ask with genuine fear.

"No. He couldn't care less about you Outsider. As long as you do not interfere with his precious Chosen One, even if there are a couple of millennia until he is born, he would not reduce himself with the lowly task of acknowledging you."

"Then...why are you here? Why did you call me Outsider?" I couldn't help but ask. Hey, if The Son is going to kill me right know the least he could do is tell me.

"Because that is what you are, an Outsider" his grin is terrorific. "An entity from a plane of existence alien to the Force itself, but one that still managed to be attuned to it. As for why I came to this rock, I wanted to see this uncomparable shift in the Dark Side in the flesh."

"Shift in the Dark Side?"

He only giggled maniacally. "Same as you, I am aware of the fate that awaits you...Wrath. Events that weren't to come until a couple of years are occurring right now, all of them leading to the Dark Side. All of them to you."

I just want to run from this being, but my own body is incapable of responding to me.

"As such, I shall give you a gift. Consider this as a payment for all the entertainment and chaos you are going to unleash into the Galaxy."

He just extended his hands until it was just a couple of inches from touching my face, and then it happened…

"I hope you find my gift helpful. and if you meet my sister, do not tell her about this meeting."

It wasn't a favour, that was an order from The Son. Also, meeting The Daughter too…?

Without any word, The Son simply banishes from the hallway. The existence itself returns to normal, leaving just a dumbfounded me behind.

[Game], why wasn't I able to read The Son stats?

That information is beyond your comprehension at the moment. It is the case with all conceptual beings you may meet at your current level.

I...I don't want to feel that way anymore.

Then grow stronger.

Finally, I understood Vergil's quest for more power.

"Might controls everything - and without strength, you cannot protect anything; let alone yourself." I muttered, closing tightly my fist in impotence and concealed rage.

I need to grow stronger. I need to surpass my limits. And I need equipment on par with the task.

[Game], give me the Token.

On my hand, a generic and nothing at all impressive arcade token was presented. But I know not to judge a book by its cover.

Gacha Token

Gacha gacha gacha.

Putting pressure on the token, I watched in fascination as it started to crack until…

Rarity - Uncommon

A vial of blood containing the DNA of Huntress Summer Rose.

Umm, wasn't expecting this but...I actually got some ideas forming in my head already.

"Game on."

XxXxX

That's it for the moment.

Now, I know it was a rather short chapter, but I promise you this, the next one I will try to make it double the length. And, we have a waifu making her appearance in the next chapter.

Now, The Son. I know it may sound as a lazy excuse, but I really think that a Gamer popping into the universe should be noticeable to some higher beings such as The Son. This version as some of you may have noticed wasn't still that evil as his appearance in The Clone Wars, well, this a couple of millennia before all that, enough time for a change of attitude into what we saw. The reason for The Father was already explained by The Son, MC isn't really interfering, yet, into the whole Chosen One situation.

As for a reason as to why The Son granted some abilities to the MC...he just like it. He is The Dark Side. Granting someone an extra ability just to watch the person wreck some havoc i feel is in character with him.

As for the Gacha, I actually had to roll my randomizer twice. Why? I wasn't going to give MC a Phoenix Force egg! Less so in Star Wars were the Emperor himself would decide to just flip the bird to the timeline and appear to claim it. Also, with Summer's blood and with a certain race of long-neck assholes MC can start preparing himself for RWBY.

Well, without further ado I say goodbye.
