Chapter 3: Rise to the Top.

Meeting The Son I am sure is going to be one of the most traumatic experiences I will face into this new life. I shall be surprised if any event will compare to it in such a short time of this adventure.

But still, I shall keep an open mind over this kind of thing. Who-

Hmm, I see.

[Game]? Is something wrong?

Not at the moment. It just seems that Zelretch has found a new plaything.

Good grief.

ZELRETCH?! Is he here?!

No.

I just maintain an eye on the vampire. Every [Gaming System] does. It is the norm.

Others…? As in, more of you? More Gamers?

Yes.

You shall not worry about them. There is a pact, not other [Gamer], with the exception of [Player 1] and [Player 2], can freely interfere with your adventure.

Players 1 and 2? Who are they? Why are they the exception?

[Game], I need to know if another, more experienced and powerful, gamer is going to come in and fuck me over.

[Player 1] is most probable, [Player 2] is more calm and collected in comparison.

Both are your seniors. The very first [Gamers] to have a [System] like yours. Incredibly powerful, with the capability for each of them to create more [Gaming Systems].

That's how I was created.

Okay, new game plan. Avoid my overpowered senpais for eternity. I think I can do that.

5 INT, 5 WIS for knowing to not fuck with being way above your station.

Yeah, that confirms it.

Now, where was I at?

"You have arrived Acolyte. I am Jailer Knash, I run these cells and the slave pits."

Oh right.

Giving a respectful nod to the jailer, I couldn't help myself.

There she was, the beautiful blue Twi'lek, Vette. One of the possible romantic interests in this game.

Thoughts about you - Curiosity, fear.

I am just an Acolyte and she already fears me...how long has she been here?

I need to turn into Baras' Apprentice as soon as possible. If not for me, at least...at least or her. I just...I just couldn't live with myself if I left her to rot in this place. She needs to be up there, on the stars. Living an never-ending adventure. She deserves it.

"Let's cut to the chase" I told the jailer directly.

"No skin off my rump" he simply shrugs, before walking to the other prisoners.

I follow close by, watching each of these three faces and burning them to my memory. I am going to decide their fate by myself. I wish I could let all three of them go, but sadly that's not the way of the Sith.

[Quest] Added:

[The Way of the Sith]

Objective - Deal with the three prisoners on the way of the Sith.

"What can you tell me about her?" I ask, walking to the only woman of the three.

"You freaks are not getting anything new out of me. Just do whatever you gotta do" she responds with reluctance, but there is still a fire inside of her.

"She was sent to kill an Imperial Spy on the Yavin System?" Knash replies.

"Did she accomplish it?" I asked curiously.

"She did not," the jailer replies. "We caught her before she could do it, and now she is here."

I simply nodded, looking at the woman directly to her eyes. I want to make clear what she is going to hear next. "You could have cost the Empire one of his spies, and in the process could have cost even many more their covers" I told her plainly. "Send her to Intelligence, let them do something useful out of this failure of an assassin."

The way she widened her eyes in shock and rage was enough for me to know what was coming, so I just simply proceeded to do a Force Pull with her directly to the bars and leave her unconscious.

"A little bit overkill in the end, but i like your style Acolyte" the jailer replied with a sadistic grin.

"Your approval makes my day" I say sarcastically, passing on to the next guy. "He keeps himself as a warrior," I noted.

"This piece of scum is Devotek. Once a valued Sith Champion, until…"

"Until he lost I presume" I finished for him, looking at the bald man in his organic eye. "You were once a warrior, now die as a bitch."

In a quick draw, I ran my War Blade directly through his chest, and with the same movement I retired my weapon, leaving the old warrior to fall to the ground dead.

I really didn't pay attention to whatever nonsense Knash was telling me, I just passed to the sole alien of the three I was sent to interrogate/kill.

And that quickly turned dark. Nice one me.

I make a quick way back to Tremel's, my new body being capable of maintaining all these running around in a nice way. I barely even glance at the other Acolyte getting out, I am just concentrated on Tremel.

"On to business at hand: your test on the jails was remarkable. You truly represented everything the Sith stands for" he congratulates on a dry and bored tone.

"You were watching" it wasn't a question, and we both knew that.

"You are beginning to understand what it means to be Sith" he replies smoothly, knowing that it wasn't to the conversation. "But you are also far from being able to impress Darth Baras."

"Oh no, my sole purpose on this rock so away from being completed" I mocked him this time, tired of this cloak and dagger shit.

"If you don't achieve it, you are doomed" tremel was ever so helpful to remind me that. "Because I forced you into the Academy before schedule, and with your trials being given in such a short time, Darth Baras will willingly judge you severely. And by severely, I mean fatally."

"Must I be grateful to you for such a big target painted on my back?" Now that was Sin of Wrath talking, but I really couldn't help but agree myself.

"You shall watch your tongue Acolyte!" Tremel warned in an even more potent voice, his wand on the hilt of his lightsaber.

God! How tempting it is to kill this fucker now! Forget that Tremel is level 9, both HP and MP, and my stats are greater than his. And I am becoming even more powerful.

I am not even going to ask what the hell this is, Tremel is going to die right here!

With both hands, I Force Pushed Tremel against the wall with all my might. This seemed to catch the old man off-guard, but not for long before retaliating in the same way.

I used my blade as an anchor against the floor, refusing to give more ground on this.

That was what Tremel needed, and with a flick of his finger his lightsaber was ignited.

We observed each other, our blades determining the distance between ourselves.

"So you have chosen to betray me. What else could I have expected from a rabid dog?" Tremel hissed.

"This, I am going to enjoy it."

Without any further ado, we charged at each other, our blades meeting true between each other.

Jumping slightly to the back, I avoided a cut to my midsection. There were various alerts on the game, but those were relieved to a second plane. I couldn't stop.

Sword high, close the distance.

Tremel prepared himself to block, that's why he didn't expect the next.

He wouldn't be the last person that tries to use me for their own reasons, but even like that Tremel's death had a much more profound impact on me than even my first kills at the jails. It was...it was an overwhelming feeling to take away everything Tremel and the likes of him have.

[GAMER'S MIND]

CLAP

The lightsaber rolled to the ground, I myself walked away in horror, looking at Tremel's corpse.

"What...What I have done?" I let out a silent sob from my lips.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ME?

It looks like [Sin of Wrath] has a deeper hold over you than I calculated in the first place.

You store so much anger and resentment inside your soul that it fuels your sin. Add in to the fact the stress Tremel was subjugating you with that you simply...acted beyond parameters.

It seems that not even Demon Lords will be able to help you with taming your sin.

All this leading to another sin being obtained, the second one your soul was more attuned with besides wrath, [Sin of Greed].

But...But why?! Where did all this hatred and greed come from?! I WAS NORMAL BEFORE BEING A GAMER?

Were you?

[Game]...do not fuck with me right now.

You humans and your petty grudges are amusing to watch.

Keep entertaining me [Gamer].

I need to ignore that.

I need to salvage this situation as quickly as possible. It was actually Baras the only thing that let me get out of this situation scott-free in the game in the first place.

Quickly running to Tremel's desk, I try to find any incriminatory evidence on his holo terminal. I was on such a short time that I didn't even stop to fuss over the fact that I somehow know how to read "Basic", the equivalent of an official language on Star Wars for almost all civilized worlds.

"Come on come on" I muttered to myself while scrolling through Tremel's files, even those that looked more hidden than others. I didn't even need a password, the dude had all these files open when I entered.

Fuck! No Sith can be this clea-

"Fraaa! Beeep bep."

That...that was "Droid". It was astromechanic, the same language as R2. And who said I was wasting my time going into that seminar at the Comic Con?

A series of whistles and mechanized screams followed for five minutes, and I could only widen my eyes the more I heard.

Tremel you old fucker.

Force Pulling Tremel's ring while also downloading the file and many more like it, I couldn't hide the huge grin on my face. I still have a chance.

Quickly running out of Tremel's office, for the last time I acknowledge, I make my way directly to Baras' chambers. I didn't even bothered to keep a calm pace, the sooner I show this information the lesser my possible punishment will be

Baras didn't even bother to post sentries to guard his chambers, that petulant he is. All the better to me, because I don't want to be bothered right now.

With the door opening, I quickly step in without even being invited by the Darth in here.

There, I saw him.

"Who are you Acolyte?" were the first words I was received with. "What petulant lord sent you without even notifying me? What kind of madness runs through that thick skull of yours that makes you believe you could come out of this meeting unscatched? Answer me. NOW!"

A rather good incentive to kill this clown.

"I am...was, Overseer Tremel's pupil" I told him slowly, showing both Tremel's ring and lightsaber, both bloody still. "As to why...I have information regarding Jedi Master Nomen Karr."

I just showed my holo communicator to Baras, who in a blink of an eye has already taken it and was uploading the audio files on it.

Droid's screeches and whistles soon filled the aid, but Baras wasn't having anything of it, and with a few touches to his own holo pad the language changed to Basic.

"-suspicions that Baras is getting wind of our communications through spies on your end" Tremel's voice came, collected as always even beyond the grave.

"Let him send more, I have my ways around his methods" there it was, the voice of the man Baras hated the most in the galaxy. "Now, those schedules for imperial supplies to the frontlines…"

"Already sent them through a third party two days ago my old friend" there was a smugness on the deceased's voice, as if he never imagined these files were going to be heard by any other. "Same time in the next two weeks, at the same channels?"

"Agreed. For the Republic."

"For the Republic."

There was a pregnant silence between the two of us for a moment, at least until Baras somewhat gathered his thoughts.

"This...has been enlightening, Acolyte" he told me, his own hatred rising inside him. "You may go for the moment, I shall send someone to retrieve you the next time I wish to speak with you. I shall also keep this holo communicator at the moment to...reunite more information regarding the traitorous activities of the deceased Overseer Tremel. That should be all."

Not needing any other excuse, I quickly vaulted through the doors and ran as farther away as possible from Baras, a foxy grin on my face the whole time.

Although with werewolf fang and Summer's blood together…

I may need to see those long-neck bastards sooner than I thought.

As for Bob(Iapetus)'s mop...let just say it would be funny to try it out myself.

"At least your mop shall be among the stars Bob" I muttered sadly to myself, making way to the only place any responsible adult deals with their feelings.

XXX

Korriban - Academy Cantine - 2 Hours Later:

Is there anything better than getting drunk using the bank account of an asshole you killed? At the moment I couldn't think of anything that fitted that description.

Behind the bar, the bartender droid was simply cleaning on a glass in circular motions, trying to bring the highest shine to it.

Around me, a couple of empty glasses of various alcoholic beverages were resting, I myself had a resigned expression on my face.

Why couldn't I get drunk?!

[Gamer's Body], [Gamer's Mind] and your connection to the Force are working in tandem.

They burn the alcohol faster than you can consume it.

Is there a way to circumvent this? This just takes away the fun of drinking.

Alcoholic beverages with a divine or demonic origin may do the work. Although it is not sure.

Well, at least that's something I can look forward to.

The droid's stand shifts ever so slightly, it would have been unnoticed by anyone else but myself, and I was watching the droid the whole time.

"Darth Baras demands your presence at his chambers, Acolyte Wolf" he told me in a cold and uncaring voice, before going back to his task at hand.

I just shrugg to myself, and gave my beverage a last drink, I marched out of the cantine at a calm pace. Rather uncaring about the fact that Baras wanted to talk to me again. This way at least I didn't kill that creature at the tomb.

The way back was shorter than I liked, and not even 10 minutes after I left the cantine I was already back at Baras' chambers, an oppressive atmosphere flowing freely out of the place, with a lingering feeling of great rage palpable in the air.

"Acolyte, you have arrived" the walking trash can says to me. It is curious how a full-grown man on such a ridiculous get-up seems so...giddy to see me again.

Without exchanging any words, he uses the Force to float my holo communicator back to me, which I took immediately.

"Your services to the Empire by wiping out that traitorous Tremel will always be remembered, Acolyte" Baras tells me with somewhat genuine gratitude on his tone.

Hmm, seems having one up to his rival has lifted his spirits.

"Sadly, this has left you without any viable master among the Overseers here at Korriban" you really sound anything but. "As it stands now, I shall take you under my own wing...with a much more advanced group of Acolytes as your competitors to be my Apprentice" he fishies smugly, as if this whole situation was a gift to me. "Considered it a favor for outing a high level traitor among our ranks. Now, Tremel's lightsaber…"

He really didn't need to finish the sentence before I took it from my belt. Although I really want to keep the thing for myself, it is in my rights as I killed Tremel myself, Baras was sure going to make a show of power so I just simply used a soft Force Pull on the lightsaber in Baras' direction.

"Excellent" he simply says...before breaking the whole thing apart with his own hands!

The various components of the weapon fell to the floor, but baras wasn't paying any attention to the mess, he simply looked at the red kyber crystal resting firmly on his hands.

"Although Tremel was a traitorous dog, his old assets shall serve the Empire in his stead" he remarked before pocketing the crystal for himself, and with that his attention was solely back on me. "By embracing the code of the Sith, by destroying Tremel, you have freed yourself from his shuckles. and escaped his same fate."

"I am a Sith" I simply told him.

"That's more like it. I have a feeling you shall be a fast learner" he gestures to me with one of his hands. "Now, your training cannot be stopped, you will resume it but under my schedule. There are sacred ruins in the tomb of Tulak Hord. The ancient inscriptions once adorned the walls of each ruin now lie in pieces. You will venture through the entire tomb, search all the ruins, and bring me a shard from each of these encryptions. Be hasty, my other pupils have already taken the lead" and with that, I am once again sent to tombs on this place.

XXX

Entering the ruin for the archives at the Tomb of Tulak Holt, I expand my conscience over my vicinity, trying a new idea that came to me while thinking about the main causes of all the situation back on earth.

Just think of a puddle of water. Relax your mind.

I gave deep breaths, preparing myself for what was to come.

THROW A ROCK INTO THE PUDDLE.

[Skill] Gained:

-[Force Echolocation] (Active) LV 1/100

200 MP to cast.

Think of the ripples.

Send a discreet Force pulse around you to detect hidden objects, rooms and even persons.

Objects with their own Force signature shall be easier to find.

The range shall be proportionate to the level.

Current range: 1 meter.

Not the best skill I have at the moment, but this was more like an experiment. A way to test the waters regarding the full range of capabilities the Force is willing to grant me. The Force's true power lies behind the belief in one person.

Have Starkiller as an example. His training was a rather unorthodox one for both Jedi and Sith standards, because Vader didn't have that purpose in mind for him. He was a weapon, as simple as that. Growing up with that mentality, he was able to achieve unprecedented levels of strength during his era.

Cal Kestis is another example. He had the unique ability to feel echoes in the Force imprinted into objects. Why was he able to look into the past of others? because he was running away from his own.

And finally, and more of this era, we have Jaesa, who is able to discern the true nature of a person. She was able to develop this ability because she herself was tired of all the falsehoods she was surrounded with.

My point is, the Force responds to the deepest desires on a person's heart, and grants them the tools to accomplish it. A living being molded as a weapon, someone who was running away from his past, and another one who wanted to see people as for whom they really are.

If I can harness this form of power, I can truly become invincible.

5 INT, 5 WIS for expanding your form of thinking.

And that is all the confirmation I need. Now, I have some work to do.

Taking out of my Inventory both Fire and Wind Elementals, I use the first as a flashlight and the second to protect me in case I am using my Force Echolocation.

It should have been quite disturbing that neither droid or beast has attacked me while I am walking through the ruins, but my gut was telling me there was something else happening here.

Just need to turn right into this corner…

FWISH!

Making sure I was sticking to the walls while I dismissed my Fire Elementals, I catched another two Acolytes getting at it close to a shrine containing a rather complete stone tablet. And if my suspicions were correct…

Now to see Baras again...good grief.

Returning from where I came from, I just couldn't help all the grumbling I was doing. This was really such a botter to do. And to differentiate this reality from the MMORPG, I just couldn't teleport myself back to the academy, or simply pull out a speeder and people will just shrug off and continue their lives as if it was nothing.

No, here I have to stick to the rules of society from back home, only with the ad that space travel and all that gimmick was real. But no, no way to fold the laws of physics the way I wanted.

That's it! When Baras gives me my ship, I will not even worry about keeping some of my Gamer activities a secret. I can simply say I was the plaything of a higher being and was granted certain abilities never seen before.

That's what you essentially are.

Not helping game.

I really would not care that-

[You have detected bloodlust towards you]!

More on instinct than anything, I almost didn't block the slash towards my neck.

Looking around, I was surprised to see I was back at Baras', although just at the hallway to his chambers.

...and three stooges are trying to kill me.

Thoughts about you - Greed, resentment.

Oh, must be the clowns that were waiting for more acolytes to arrive and collect their shards instead.

Sorry boys, that only worked for me.

And now you are SO dead!

Lifting two at the same time, I make both of them hit the one on the middle, making all of them do an awkward dog pile...that I ended rather quickly by running my blade through the three of them at the same time

Critical Hit!

You have [Killed] (3) Acolytes.

Huh, cool. Almost at the mid mark for LV 6.

Without any more obstacles on my way, I simply dispose of myself to enter Baras' chambers.

Not to my surprise, both Baras and Vemrin were already waiting for me at the chamber.

"The prodigal supplicant returns - and with all the shards from the Tomb of Tulak Hord. Superb" he comments while I just limit myself to give him my shards. My quest completed.

[Quest] Completed:

[I Hate Sand]

Objective - Collect and bring to Darth Baras shards from each ruin of the Tomb of Tulak Hord.

Rewards - [Summoner Skill Scroll], 10000 EXP.

Bonus Objective - Kill at least (2) of Baras' pupils and steal their shards.

Bonus Reward - (2) Gacha Tokens.

[10000 EXP]!

You have leveled up!

Dante Wolf

Level - 7(3830/9600)

Holy shit!

I completely skipped LV 6!

...I actually didn't pay too much attention to the EXP reward if I am being honest, I was more concentrated on the Gacha Tokens.

I am a complete mess sometimes.

"It seems your hopes have been dashed, Vemrin" Baras says to fuming Vemrin at my side.

"Oh yeah, thank you for reminding me, Darth Baras" I told the dark lord, before mockingly addressing Vemrin. "If it helps, your mongrel kept thinking about you until his last breath."

[You have detected extreme bloodlust towards you]!

I didn't even need a discount Spider Sense to feel that, but I am actually so happy right now I don't really care.

"Appearances can be deceptive, Darth Baras" Vemrin managed to say through gritted teeth, trying his hardest to not attack me in Baras' presence.

"Excuse Vemrin, supplicant. He doesn't take kindly when one of his toys is broken" now i know Baras was just mocking Vemrin, not that I could fault him on that front.

"He is a big boy now, my Lord, he must learn to put away his toys from time to time" I didn't try to hide the smug grin on my face.

"The tension is thick between you two" the lord gesticulates to both of us. "A great source of emotion to feed on. I wonder what will happen when it boils over" he mused to himself. "You both stand on the precipice of becoming Sith. But only one of you will have the special opportunity to claim a special lightsaber and serve as my apprentice. I thought it would be you Vemrin, but now I have changed my mind" he dropped the bomb on the fool.

"What?!" he roared incredulously. "I have done everything you asked. Better than any of the others! The honor should be mine!"

"Ignore Vemrin, Lord Baras, his world is crumbling around him" I stated mockingly. God, how I loved this. A shame the fool shall die soon, I could have squeezed this a lot more.

"Today Vemrin is every bit your equal but the Force is stronger with you, Acolyte, and there is a power sleeping within you. It was a simple decision" he greedily told me, eyeing me up as a future weapon. "Now, Vemrin, go wait in my antechamber for your instructions. This instant!" he had to roar the last order at seeing traces of revelry on Vemrin.

Vemrin really didn't have any other choice, so with a hiss to me, he marched himself out of the chamber...leaving me alone with Baras.

"Now, I hope you fathom how fortunate you are to be singled out. If you become my apprentice, the galaxy will bend before you."

"I can barely contain myself with all the fun waiting at the end of the tunnel" I replied in dark glee.

By this point, my morals have been eroded on some subjects.

"The lightsaber you will seek is old and powerful" he reminds me carefully. "It is housed in a forbidden cavern in the Tomb of Naga Sadow where few Sith have ever set foot" all the reverence which he speaks of the tomb is evident in his tone. "Almost no one knows how to find the secret entrance. But there is a Twi'lek in the holding pens who was caught breaking in there."

"Blue skin?" I asked.

"You know her" it wasn't a question.

"I saw Jailer Knash torture her when Tremel sent me there for my second trial, the last one he gave me before I killed him" I clarified, rather protective of my future waifu, because that was what Vette was. I am the Gamer of this multiverse, and I have decided that the Vette Route shall be the first one I pursue.

"Good, that shall save some trouble" he dismissed the notion. "Take her and make her show you the entrance to the forbidden cave" he quickly ordered.

"One lightsaber for your apprentice coming right up" I mock saluted the Darth before exiting his chamber for the third time that day, now in high spirits.

[Quest] Added:

[The Hidden Blade]

Objective - Claim the lightsaber hidden at the Tomb of Naga Sadow and present it to Darth Baras.

Rewards - Gacha Token, 1000 EXP

Bonus Objective - Kill [?]

Bonus Rewards - [?]

Soon, soon I shall start my grand plan of pocketing all the hidden power in this galaxy, and then I could truly start my invasion to the next worlds.

You may think I am evil. I am not. I am efficient.

At a calm pace to the jails, I once again crushed the gacha tokens in my hand, and I got…

[Merodach]

Rarity - Legendary

All concepts have a prototype.

This sword is the prototype of the concept of 'Swords that select the royalty'.

Unleashing it's true name, a torrent of divine flames shall be unleashed over entire armies.

50% of the user's MP to cast.

[Sword Style - Hinokami Kagura]

Rarity - Epic

A technique to kill demons.

The Dance of the Fire God, it is said that it is the closest to the original Dance that demon slayers use.

Undead creatures shall receive 50% bonus damage.

[Sword Proficiency] (Beginner) - [Sword Style: Hinokami Kagura] (Beginner) LV 1/10

At this level, you are just on the first steps of the Dance.

[GAMER'S MIND]

...thank you [Game]. My brain just broke for a-

HOLY FUCK!

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

How is it even possible?!

I think I broke my luck for a lifetime!

If it helps, even I am kind of confused.

At LUC 10 this is a rather peculiar situation.

Don't worry, I shall remedy that by putting trash on your Gacha.

...me and my big mouth.

Neh, I cannot complain.

I certainly cannot complain with all the sweet items I got.

Merodach.

A Noble Phantasm from the Nasuverse. And not one common at that, I got one of Gilgamesh's prototypes...which soon shall be all mine!

Damned me.

Ahm, anyway, because of the Nasuverse rules, the older the better, and the more fame is a bonus.

Merodach itself is not overly famous, but that's when the kick comes. Because Merodach is a prototype of the concept of 'sword to select the royalty', it has a lot of lore behind it. This sword is basically the prototype for Caliburn. So any world that I visit with similar concepts of objects that select the royalty, it shall maintain its power boost.

Next it's the Hinokami Kagura, the ultimate anti-undead technique. The Hinokami was created specifically to destroy Muzan, who had 7 hearts and 5 brains. So...a really deadly technique in the right hands.

...and now it was all mine.

With my soon-to-be lightsaber, the technique shall reach even higher limits.

I am SO giddy at the prospect.

Although, I am kind of curious about the Summoner Skill Scroll.

Taking it out of my inventory, I simply look at a non-descriptive scroll with the words 'SUMMONER' at a side. Kind of curious, I just simply open it to look at its contents.

Skill Gained:

-[Summon Basilisk(DMC)] (Active)

100 to cast.

Summon a weaker level Basilisk(DMC) to fight for you. You can only summon 1 Basilisk(DMC) per 5 INT.

Nice! That's what I am talking about!

The Basilisk can fight on a more equal footing with me, and because of my WIS, I can summon 9 of them. These monstrosities should prove themselves to be useful when I don't want to deal with mob enemies, alongside my other bois.

This is so cool!

"Ouch. Give it a rest, would you?"

I really need to pay more attention to this kind of thing!

"I am getting my feel of fun while I still can, slave" Knash, ever the asshole, responds easily.

"That's a joy I shall take from you" I make myself heard, gaining the attention of both of them.

"Look who's back" Knash really sounds like a child right now. "Word is you might become Lord Baras' Apprentice. Hrmp. Nice work, if you can get it."

"Which is why I have come to relieve this slave from your 'care' Knash" I replied evenly to the jailer, my blood boiling at this sadistic man that dared to hurt my Vette.

"Good. She is a pain in the neck" Knash told me back, gaining a chuckle from vette in the process.

"Ha! Who is a pain in the neck? I am the one wearing the shock collar" vette almost screamed the last part. I liked her.

"Hrmp. Consider that a going away present, Twi'lek" the Jailer sardonically responds. "Seems you might be useful for something after all - this bruiser is taking you back to the tomb where you were caught."

"None of you can figure out how to activate the tombs statues to open the forbidden cavern, huh?" there is certain mirth on her tone at those words.

"And that's where you come in," I told her, speaking directly to her for the first time.

She looked at me directly, her face the image of defiance in every sense of the word. She was beautiful that way.

Vette(Ce'na)

Thoughts about you - Curiosity, fear, defiance.

"And why should I help you?" that question actually gave me a halt. "You don't look any different from any other Acolyte. All of you are nothing more than mad dogs waiting for their next kill."

"Why you-?!"

I raised a hand to stop Knash idiotic action, which luckuly the Jailer capted almost immediatly.

I didn't want to do this, least of all to her...but I got no other choice.

Passing my hand from one side to the other, right in front of her face, I knew I really don't have any alternative on the matter.

"Do it, not to help me, but to help yourself" I told her with a resolute tone of voice.

Skill Gained:

-[Force Persuasion] (Active)

500 MP to cast.

'These aren't the droids you're looking for.'

Be persuasive. Implant ideas into the mind of the target, making them believe it was theirs in the first place.

Must have more WIS than the target to function.

For a moment, Vette's eyes were unfocused, the idea setting into her psyche and taking root.

"I...I will do it," she said to me, somewhat drowsy. "Not to help you, but to help myself" her resolve comes back to full force after it.

I knew Vette. I know her past and her attitude. If I implanted outright loyalty for me into her, she herself would have felt that something was off. The way I did it, I simply let her make the decision in a way that sounds beneficial to her situation.

There are many people who would have abused this ability if they were in my place. Force Persuasion wasn't outright mind control, but it was a close second.

I...I just couldn't.

My morals may start to erode more and more, the farther I advance in this storyline, but I would never lower myself to get my girls through mind control. Only pussies would do that.

Now, blackmail and drugs on the other hand…

Damned me!

Knash whistled, impressed at the whole exchange.

"I like your style kid" he sneakers a little bit before tossing me the control for Vette's collar. "You may not use it, you may, it isn't my problem anymore" he shrugs before opening Vette's cell and walking away.

All the bravado on Vette's face banishes almost immediately. She doesn't set a foot outside of her cell, and looks from one side of the room to another, no doubt fearing this whole thing was a trap.

I let my expression soften for a bit, and extend a hand in a gentle gesture towards her.

"Please" I spoke softly to her. "This isn't a trick. You come with me, and I promise you, I will never let someone put you into a cage ever again. This, I swear."

Distrust was written over her beautiful face, but there was a glint of hope in her eyes. This is what she needed.

Taking my hand with caution, she takes her first steps out of her cell in a long time.

[Quest] Completed:

[Do It For Her]

Objective - Release Vette from the jail and gain some of her trust.

Rewards - REP/AFF and OBE Functions unlocked.

Wait what?

REP/AFF means Reputation or Affection, depending on the type of interest of the person towards you.

When you reach the 50 mark, a certain perk regarding the person in concrete will be given.

OBE stands for Obedience. Even if a person REP/AFF is in the negative, they could still not betray you if the OBE is high enough. Intimidation tactics or acts that inspire loyalty shall rise OBE.

Wait...really?

I will bite the bullet. Observe.

Vette(Ce'na)

REP/AFF: 5/100

OBE: 10/100

Thoughts about you - Curiosity, defiance, hope.

Huh, neat.

"I...I'll take you to the unlocking points throughout the tomb, and then open the secret door for you" she promises, the prospect of getting out of this place too sweet for her to reject anything else. "Just lead the way."

"All I should ask of you is to stay back if something dangerous happens" I told her softly.

"I can take care of myself," she insisted while crossing her arms.

"With what weapons?" I asked rather curiously, trying to make sense as to where he was going to get her blasters.

"I hid a stash of my stuff inside the tomb before I was captured" she proudly tells me with a beaming smile.

"And until we reach your stash, you would be rather defenseless" I humourly remarked, gaining a pointed look from her in the process.

"Let's just go" with what could pass for her species as a blush, she marched through the doors, leaving me somewhat dumbfounded by her brashness.

Let's see how the Vette Route goes. It should be fun.

XXX

Taking our first steps inside the Tomb of Naga Sadow, a somewhat oppressive feeling washes over both of us. Both me and Vette shivered a little, before starting our trek.

Vette moved through the hallways as if she knew them as the back of her hand, meanwhile I was following closely behind her, walking over her same footsteps. From time to time sending some pulses of Force Echolocation if even a piece looked suspicious to me.

Entering the first chamber, Vette quickly went to do her thing, first stepping over the left foot of the statue, pushing a part of its abdomen, and finally pulling a finger on its right hand.

Some kind of mechanism was actioned inside the statue, and for a moment I was tense in case some sort of trap had been activated...but nothing happened.

"Huf. Didn't know what was going to happen" Vette breathed a sigh of relief.

"Didn't you already do this before?" I asked her.

"The first time I didn't know what I was doing" she defended herself.

"You are going to get us killed" I said in a resigned tone with a hand on my face.

"Better to die free rather than live behind bars" she simply shrugs before exiting the chamber.

The gall!

Going after the crazy Twi'lek, we kind of repeated the process in the next chamber, although instead of a statue, this time he had to rotate the faces of a pyramid, kind of like a Rubix Cube if I am being honest.

The third chamber was right across the second one, and just accommodating some loose shards of text to the wall seemed to do the trick.

But my gut feeling kept telling me that something was not right with the situation, this was way too easy for my tastes.

Entering the fourth chamber, we had to open a stone coffin and lift the visor from the armor inside it. also, inside the coffin was where Vette hid her stash of weapons. Now she was armed and felt a little bit safer about her.

When we finally entered the chamber right before the cave, I knew that something was wrong.

[You have detected extreme bloodlust towards you]!

"Hey, this is it" Vette remarked while tinkering with her dual blasters. "The secret entrance to the hidden cavern is in here. Just let me get my bearings" she asked me. All this walk seemed to have finally had an effect on her.

"You do that, I have to deal with our guests" I told her, before performing a spinning kick, getting Vemrin right across the chest and getting him away. On the same spirits, I Force Pulled Eskella, who was trying to crept towards Vette right to me...to my blade.

She simply widened her eyes in surprise, before watching me in total fury and a little bit of resignation before finally…

"Overseer Tremel was more of a challenge that you are going to be" I told him plainly, adjusting my stand for what I was going to try next.

Behind me, I could feel Vette aiming at Vemrin, but that's as far as she went. She is gonna leave this to me.

"My legacy has already suffered enough!" he exclaimed in pure anger, although nothing that affected me at all considering i have THE [Sin of Wrath]. "After today, you shall be forgotten!"

With that as a war cry, he launched himself directly to me. I couldn't help myself but widen my eyes at his form…

He is full of openings.

He didn't try to have his guard up, even the way he holds his blade was wrong.

"Good grief" I muttered, before launching myself to meet him, preparing myself to try my new sword style. In a blink both him and I were in each other's personal space, bth arms swinging. "Hinokami Kagura - Enbu!"

SLASH!

We separated from each other...but I knew it was over.

"BLERGHH" I heard a disgusting sound next to me, so curious I turned my body to watch Vette hiding her face behind a statue, emptying her stomach of its contents in the process. "You would think that with Sith one should be used to it…"

"It never gets easier Vette" I remarked with a frown. "You should be worried when it does."

The Evening Bell hath tolled thy name.

"I am okay, I am okay now" announced Vette, walking straight into a wall right between two statues. "The secret entrance is here" she told me on an somewhat nervous voice.

I kept quiet and simply watched her do her work, for his puzzle consisting this time of pushing some bricks in the right order. When she finally pressed the last one…

CRACK!

A little tremor presented itself in the cave, and the statues of two slaves lifted themselves up a little from the ground before turning to face each other. The big wall between the two of them started to descend, bringing into view a completely new chamber.

The Dark Side oozed freely from there, now doubt ecstatic that it was finally set free after millennia.

"Ah, your welcome" a smirking Vette said to my slightly dumbfounded face.

"Thank you Vette, truly" I told her with a smile. "I couldn't have done this without your help."

5 REP/AFF from Vette for thanking her for her talents.

Without preamble, we both walked through the halls of the cave, the Dark Side making itself...thicker in this place. How many condemned souls could rest in this place? Do I really care?

I was here only for one thing, and one thing only…

"There is the shrine" Vette noted as soon as we walked into the chamber.

"There rest our objective" I told her, gesturing to the coffin at the top of the shrine.

My heart was pounding in my chest, faster and faster with each step I took towards the coffin. The Dark Side whispering to my ear the whole time both promises of power and anguished cries of pain.

When I finally got to the blasted coffin I Force Pushed the lift from it. There, the remains of a Darth were resting, the bone clean after so many years but both the armor and the lightsaber at his side still looking as if they weren't a day older.

I took the lightsaber into my hands, which ignited itself as soon as my hold was over it.

I felt it. The lightsaber was washed on diverse capes of the Dark Side. It was resisting my claim over, testing me if I was worthy of having it.

With a couple of swings I felt more...peace inside this cavern.

Observe.

Lightsaber of Naga Sadow

Rarity - Epic

Durability - 100/100

The lightsaber of an ancient Lord of the Sith, Naga Sadow himself. The blade has taken so many lives that their hatred has imbued itself into the weapon.

50% bonus damage to targets with a Good Alignment.

It is all mine.

"That's it?" Vette asked, shifting uncomfortable on her feet. This place no doubt giving her the creeps.

"It should b-"

"MIZALA"

"Something else is here with us" I told Vette on a whisper, my hand on the handle of my new weapon.

Naga Sadow's 'eyes' gave a purple glow, before shooting upwards to the roof of the cavern as a flare.

With it, from inside the statues the reanimated corpses of failed Acolytes started to flood the bottom of the cave. Each one armed with a Wat Blade.

I wanted to try my new lightsaber but…

I am not getting any of this shit!

"Cover your ears!" I shouted Vette, bringing forth a new weapon I had acquired recently.

The weight on my hands was somewhat unknown to me, but its presence managed to calm me down. The light this sword radiated having a soothing effect on me, particularly over this place so washed over by the Dark Side.

Even the Wraiths of the previous Acolytes seemed to...calm down somehow.

Their consciousness was long gone, but as a result of their more primal instincts they were able to feel better the weight the presence of my sword brought forward.

With a single slash, it was all over.

"MERODACH!"

A torrent of holy flames consumed everything in front of me.

XxXxX

Whooo! That was a long one! Probably the longest chapter I have ever written!

Well, I promised and I brought. Now that's what I am talking about!

A lot of action happened on this chapter guys. Tremel died beforehand, but because of his own deals under the table MC was able to live unpunished for it. He even managed to score some points with Baras!

MC is stashed right now with Tremel's bank account, meaning that the next chapter is a shopping spree with Vette.

Speaking of which...BEST GIRL IS HERE! In case you guys didn't notice, I love Vette. Getting her romance on the Old Republic was everything I strived for ever since I watched the gameplays, and now MC is going to accomplish it.

Yeah, the Gacha...I frankly didn't know what happened there. As I said, it was all through a wheel randomizer. Now I need to add some trashy items to balance it out this whole thing.

Next time, MC will have his first adventure in space!
