The lonely void of darkness.
The ocean of nothingness at the end of the universe, a place where eternity itself became a shadow of what it once was.
This was the place where the old police box called the TARDIS materialized, piloted by the traveler named the Doctor.
The sound of the TARDIS landing ended the silence of the void for a single moment before all returned to a deathly oblivion.
The Doctor stood inside at the TARDIS console, thinking to himself.
"I question myself what I am doing here..."
All of this time wandering about the universe, only the haunting shadow of loneliness was beginning to descend upon this madman with a box once more. There was no end to this eternal journey. At this moment the Doctor was a walker of time itself, only had no home save that which he carried inside his hearts.
The TARDIS itself gave a quiet beep, sadly understanding her pilot. Although the fallen Gallifrey had been the Doctor`s birthplace, there was no place in the universe that could heal who he was on the inside. A madman with a box, giving hope to others throughout his incarnations only to be the one who remained in darkness at the end.
What was there to do...?
There was only one answer to heal the Doctor`s loneliness, as the TARDIS finally acknowledged.
She would have to bring her pilot to a place he had never been to before...one where the traveler could return back to his beautiful childhood of hope.
A single destination came to the TARDIS after she hastily searched through all of space-time...an otherworldly place that was far outside the Doctor`s home-universe, only it would have to do.
The Doctor hesitated bewilderingly as the TARDIS began to dematerialize by herself. "...Where are you going, old dear?"
The TARDIS was merely silent, flying her pilot into the distant landscape of an unknown world.
A world where the madman with a box would hopefully not be lonely once more.
"...I think you answered my question..." the Doctor finally spoke as the TARDIS finally reached her destination, the sound of dematerialization resonating throughout the console.
Although...
Who would have thought that the TARDIS`s presence would begin another long fateful journey to her pilot?
The Doctor wandered outside the TARDIS, never understanding what he was about to become in this unknown world.
A healer whose nickname would be remembered until the end of time.
