30 minutes later
Chief Executive's Office
"Chief Executive they are here." Talula said as she along with Beatrix, Hoshiguma, and Ch'en walked inside the office.
"That's good to hear Talulah, send them in." Wei said with a wave of his hand as he put down his pen.
"Alright." Talulah said as she opened the door to the Rhodes Island personel.
"Dr. Kal'tsit how delightful of you to come here." Wei greeted the Feline.
"Quite, however, I am not here for a social meeting and I hope you still recall our conversation we had over the phone." Kal'tsit said in a sharp manner.
"Yes, I do recall about you telling me about a planned uprising in a similar fashion to that of Chernobog approximately four days ago and my suspicions about it and, that you'd be coming to provide assistance correct? The Let's start with the part regarding information." Said Wei cutting straight to the chase after he took a drag off of his pipe.
"Well... as you suspected and Uprising in Lungmen will be launched, however the date is unknown, but we do suspect that it is going to happen once the infected have been agitated to the point of open hostilities." Albert interjected.
"And the weapons sales, are supplies for the groups that may start the uprising." Ch'en concluded recalling her investiong regarding the weapons sales that have been happening as of late.
"Correct, and in this endeavor to end a crisis Rhodes Island will be giving you their assistance." Kal'tsit told Wei.
"Hmmmm, Very well Doctor, we are deeply appreciative of your assistance. Now... let's talk about business shall we?" Asked Wei as a smirk spread on his face after he put down his pipe.
"Half a million LMD." Kal'tsit set up her prize, which made Wei raise an eyebrow and the L.G.D personnel felt as if the chocked on their spit.
"Don't you think that is a tad large of a sum, for such a trivial task, such as raid on a suspected weapons sales? How about a quarter million?" Wei asked as he gave his sum.
"We've seen what Reunion could and they aren't above of attacking un armed civilians, the public execution of the Chernobog city council should be an indication." Kal'tsit responded.
"Yes I do recall Morningstar executing them, however I am doubtful they'd attack us, maybe they'd start an Uprising over at Kazimierz with what their gladiatorial matches and sending Infected for their blood sport matches." Wei said as he leaned on his chair.
"How about 400 thousand?" Albert suggested as he barged in on the conversation.
"Hmmm... What do we get out of this deal if I were to agree with such a sum?" Wei asked Albert.
"An advice and help with the investigation of the Arms sales that's been going on in the the slums outskirts." Albert told Wei who hummed.
"Seems a bit of a large sum just for advice and assisting in a job that the L.G.D can handle on their own. How about 350 thousand?" Wei said as he took a drag from his pipe.
"I know that it may seem like a large sum, and no we are not lowing the price any further then 400 thousand." Albert told Wei not agreeing with Wei's suggested low price.
This did get a reaction out of the people in the room, such as Kal'tsit and Sif weren't really surprised by it as she knew that Albert would put his foot down when he saw necessary, and the L.G.D looked at Albert with slight shock as it wasn't normal for anyone to refuse Wei's offers.
"You seem to have caught me in quite the conundrum young man." Wei said as he let out a sigh.
"Thank you." Said Albert.
"It wasn't a compliment." Wei told Albert.
"To bad I couldn't really care." Albert told Wei who got into a thinking stupor.
"What do you think the big boss is coming with in his mind?" Hoshiguma asked Talulah.
"I've got no idea." Talulah told Hoshiguma.
"How about this, I'll agree to the Sum, on the condition that you help the L.G.D with the weapons sales investigation and searching for this." Wei said as he pulled out the photo of an Ursus girl walking through the slums she has white hair, blue eyes, she was wearing short pants, a pair of black shoes and was wearing a black poncho and scarf over a black jacked.
"Who is she?" Albert asked Wei.
"Her name's Misha, we've kept an eye on her for some days, and I am fairly certain that Dr. Kal'tsit knows her rather well." Wei told Albert.
"I am not familiar with Misha herself but I am familiar with her father as we've worked on the Sarcophagus in Chernobog." Kal'tsit said not really caring if anyone knew about the Sarcophagus at Chernobog as far as she was concerned it had finished it's job.
"My offer is a rather simple one, help us find Misha and we help you put a stop to Reunion. And as a side offer I will agree to the price of the 400 thousand." Wei told them as he agreed with the price.
"So basically we scratch your back and you scratch ours, quite prudent if say myself." Ash commented.
"I know. So do we have an agreement?" Asked Wei.
" I have one thing to ask, aren't the Slums segregated? Because looking from the photo's background she seems to be living in the slums." Kal'tsit said as she waved the photo.
"Yes, however an Old Friend of mine agreed to assist you in this endeavor." Wei told the R.I presonnel.
"I be 20 LMD that its Rat King." Hoshiguma said in a hush tone.
"That's a sucker's bet." Talulah said refusing the bet.
"Quiet, you two." Ch'en ordered quietly.
"And whose that old friend of yours?" Asked Albert.
"You will meet him soon enough, Tomorrow." Wei said in a cheeky tone which caused Kal'tsit eye to twitch in infuriation.
"Talk about cheeky dragon." Frost joked.
"Yeah, it's a tad unnerving to see someone who seemed to fit the Machiavellian description to be in such a good mood to make jokes." Said Ash.
"Very well." Kal'tsit relented.
"Before you leave, I do hope that you'll spend the night at Lungmen. Earlier I took the liberty of preparing lodgings for you and your escort." Wei told the R.I personnel.
"Thank you for your effort but we sadly have to decline, we hate to be a bother." Kal'tsit said as she refused the offer to spend the night here.
" Quite the contrary, and besides I am will to bet that the journey from Ursus to here had been a long and tiring one." Wei insisted.
Before Kal'tsit could make a measured response Albert put his hand on her shoulder and made a small nod and she looked at Team Rainbow who nodded for her to trust Albert, this did make Kal'tsit to let out a sigh.
"Very well Chief Executive it'd appears that I am outnumbered... Very we except you offer to spend the night in Lungmen." Kal'tsit relented.
"Ch'en and her friends will be accompanying you to your lodging." Wei said as he pointed at Ch'en and her group.
"Very well Chief Executive." Ch'en responded with an automatic response.
"I promise that you won't regret a single moment here Doctor." Wei said.
However this made Talulah look at her uncle with narrowed eyes, and wondered what was he playing at.
Chernobog
In a room Svaha was leaning against a chair with her legs up on the desk.
Right now she was looking over at a report that was sent her way few hours ago by Crownslayer, which basically said that Rhodes Island had arrived at Lungmen and went to talk with the Chief Executive for their little infiltration of the city.
"Hmmm... I see what you are trying to do." Svaha said as she figured out what R.I was up to, when suddenly the door began to knock.
"Come in." Svaha said when the door began to open revealing Artorias.
"What is Artorias?" Asked Svaha.
"I hope I didn't interrupt anything, as I came to ask what our next objective would be." Artorias said as he walked inside the room.
"Our next objective will be Lungmen Artorias." Svaha told the man which got a raised eyebrow.
"Any particular reason why? We could attack Kazimirez." Asked Artorias.
"No reason in particular Artorias." Svaha simply responded with a tone that said, "I'm done, with the conversation and you won't ask me any further".
"Very well." Artorias said as he left the room.
With Artorias
"Hello Artorias." Patriot said as he looked at Artorias.
"Patriot." Artorias responded as he looked at the former General.
"What were you talking about with Svaha?" Patriot asked him.
"I asked her why we'd attack Lungmen." Artorias responded.
"Any reason as to why?" Asked Patriot.
"She didn't say." Artorias said with a mild frustration.
"She hasn't been the same since hasn't she." Patriot said in more of a statement than it was a question.
"Yeah." Artorias simply responded.
