Jacob blinked awake and slowly blinking looked around his room, he had a new sense and as he focused the sense seemed to withdraw and slip from his grasp, however as he relaxed it seemed to come back into the limelight.

"Ah, Sleeping beauty is finally awake"

Screamer's voice rang out in his head, Jacob still not paying attention looked around and just out of his grasp he saw countless worlds, realities where the air was acid or The Field where a saw Screamer and Labyrinth sitting on the grass. Jacob felt grass under his hands and blinked looking down, focusing once more, seeing grass sprout out of his black blanket covering his bed. As Jacob grew more aware and focused the grass faded until it was just a faint presence in the back of his head along with the other worlds. Noticing that a few minutes had gone by since Screamer had spoken he replied.

"Uh, yes I'm awake, how did you sleep?"

"Fine, fine"

Her voice rumbled out rough and baritone before trailing into a chuckle. Jacob stood up and looked over at his clock. It read out 10:07 in harsh red numbers, he squinted at the clock confused. Normally by now his parents would get him up Sunday or not, he shrugged and walked downstairs seeing a note on the table. He picked it up and it read

"Hey we are heading to the store we should be back around 11, breakfast is in the fridge"

Jacob set the pad of paper down and ambled to the fridge, he opened the door to the smell of eggs and bacon. He stood there for a moment before sighing and pulling out the breakfast and setting it down on the table with a clink. He then pulled out a glass and filled it to the brim with orange juice, using Screamer's power to alter the faint noise of the juice filling the cup into a small orchestra with a rising crescendo to the line of the juice. As Jacob started his meal he remembered that he wanted to find out who these new voices and powers were.

He stood and grabbed his phone from the other room and put Screamer in the search engine. Seeing the result he froze before a question slipped past his lips.

"You were a part of the Slaughterhouse 9!"

Her voice melodious and smooth as always twirled around his thoughts

"Yup, as I said I was the vocal talent, and what fun it was!"

Jacob sat down at the table with a bump head in his hands, thoughts slipping by. As was becoming customary, Screamers' voice rose in his head.

"Just cuz I'm here doesn't mean that you're going to go batshit nuts or somethin' Think of me as a tenant just here to observe and comment on your life."

"And that makes it better? That I've got an insane mass-murdering psychopath in my head!"

"Listen listen ya don't have to do anything I can't affect anything so the worst you have to put up with is my amazing personality"

As Jacob got his breathing under control he noticed something else: the table he was sitting at had warped, the table growing into a stone altar and the carpeted floor becoming slick with something red and pungent. Jacob focused on reining in his emotions and focusing, the rate of expansion began to slow however it was still spreading.

"Uh, Labyrinth? How do I stop this"

He mentally asked the younger of his headmates.

"Move"

The airy and distracted voice stated. Jacob then stood up and quickly walked over outside the changing kitchen. As he crossed the threshold the kitchen slowly started to revert to normal and a few minutes later the kitchen was back to normal. Jacob felt the faint sound of a key in the doorway and the sound of a couple talking, as they moved inside. Jacob picked up his empty plate, walked over to the sink, and started washing his dish and cup as his parents walked in arms laden with groceries. He turned and looked at his father who was around 6'4 and jacked to hell and back setting down groceries.

"Son! Come help."

His father, Anderson, started pulling items out of the bags.

"Pft this is the man your so afraid of"

Screamer snorted out in his mind. Jacob just ignored the voice and started to help his parents put away the groceries.

"Have you thought about what you're going to do yet, we didn't get to finish the talk we had last night."

His mother asked as put away a jar of pickles.

"No mother I am still thinking it over"

Jacob stated voice smooth as marble while nebulous emotions swirled in him.

"Come on, just a whisper here and there. It's not like they don't deserve it."

The shifting voice of Screamer suggested and for one horrible moment, Jacob wanted to. He knew that he could change sound and cause voices to whisper in their head to tear down reality around them if he just let go.

"I'm not going to attack my parents!"

Jacob shouted to the voice in his head however it was more hesitant than he would have liked.

"I'm going to my room I'll be looking for college programs"

He stated and after a moment his father nodded his head at him, a dismissal. Jacob quickly walked to his room and after shutting the door collapsed on his bed staring up at his white painted ceiling. As he took a deep breath he felt another being slot into place and a thick rumbling voice rose in his mind, angry and curious.

"Where am I?"

Jacob hesitantly responded

"Uh, you're in my mind, and who are you?"

"The names Bamet and it appears I've been chosen Her to assist you"

Jacob blinked once, twice as he took that information in.

"Who is her?"

He asked

"You do not know who She is? I am talking about Her Holiness, The Simurgh!"

Jacob froze once again at that information, then he chuckled, and soon that grew into a full blow laugh as he took in the past two days, his voice bouncing off the walls and growing into a crescendo. He held within his mind a mass murderer, an insane cultist, and a child with a few screws loose.
