Jacob's laughter trailed to a stop and the echoing cackle that was heard for blocks around his house was cut off as he forced his mind back on track. Along with a new sense, there was a fullness that he felt in the back of his mind. As if the space that held the voices active and in the forefront of his mind was full. He shook off that line of thought and focused on the newest addition to his mental home.

"You claim to be on a mission from Her correct?"

He inquired voice perfectly modulated.

"Indeed! It is the only explanation one moment I was assisting in instructing new converts then I was here. Only Her most Holy would be able to accomplish a miracle of this caliber"

Jacob shuddered at the thought of what the cultist, Bamet, would do to 'instruct' new converts. However, before he could ask any more questions his door was opened and his mother stepped inside.

"Are you okay Son?"

She asked a worried twinge to her voice as she stepped up to him and cupped his right cheek in her hand. Jacob fought back a thought on how easy it would be to change a few sounds, add a voice or two to send this controlling bitch fleeing from his room. He slowly breathed out and looking his mother in the eyes he grinned and with a voice infused by Screamer's power spoke

"I'm fine, the laugh was a bit scary but it's over now."

"Okay, you should get to sending in those applications, college isn't going to apply its self"

She told him, the brief worry suppressed by the clear annoyance in her tone

"Ok I'll get right to it"

He replied once again fighting down annoyance voice clear as ever. At that, his mother turned on her heel and walked out closing the door behind her. Slowly and with the clear motion of somebody how wanted to be doing anything else Jacob walked over to his computer and sitting down started to write up the first draft for his application that would be checked over and over by his parents.

Hours passed as he works on his application interspaced are questions to his headmates, about their past, what they were doing before they ended up with him. After a brief and anger-inducing dinner plus teardown of his application, he stomped out of the house. Jacob strode towards the Boat Graveyard intent on working out some stress with the scrap. When Jacob arrived at the Graveyard he let himself drift and stopped focusing on his anger and emotions. His mind flitted between half a dozen worlds between settling on a place covered in a storm of lightning. Jacob was working on finding the right mix between being lucid enough to use Screamer's power to cover the sound of a storm and letting go to be able to conjure a large storm when he felt it. A person was stumbling towards the graveyard, he could tell by the pitter-patter of blood hitting the sidewalk, the rasping of a person's lungs about to give up, and the filth-stained laughter of people revealing in the despair they were causing. It was then that Jacob stood up and focusing on Screamer's power and a voice crawled up the lead man's spine

"So, this is the state of people in the Bay, gangers, and thugs just out for their next fix be it of drugs or assault."

The man stopped at the chilling voice whispering in his ears, he put up his club and looked around widely

"Come on out you ugly motherfucker, I ain't afraid to kick your ass!"

"If you can't use your intelligence then I'll just take it!"

Ground out Jacob in the voice of the dammed. He cast his eyes over to the man and with a thought pulled what intelligence the mand had out of his head and spread it into the surrounding cockroaches. The man collapsed a drooling vegetable as the two companions stumbled back eyes darting around as they looked for the assailant. The men turned to run as the voice of the Devil yelled out behind them.

"Leave and never come back or else!"

Jacob waited a moment then staggered over a few feet and emptied his guts. The nice steak and mashed potatoes dinner spilling on the ground in chunks.

"Nice job hun"

"A good start"

The voices of both Screamer and Bamet said as Jacob finished wiping his mouth with his sleeve

"Good job? What good job I just as good killed a man!"

Jacob shrieked out slumping against the wall.

"Well, it was either that or that woman would have died"

"Sides you need to learn and grow if you're going to serve Her"

Jacob then stood and on shaky legs walked back to his house, mind thinking back to what he could have done differently. As he stepped into the clean living room he took another breath as he ran through the situation for the hundredth time and that without Screamer and Bamet's power that woman would have died. His traitorous mind kept looping back to the power he held over those men the fear on their face as his voice crawled up their spine and swirled in their thoughts. Dreams of voices, worlds, and animals danced through his mind as he slept.
