A/N: This was cut from the last scene of the last chapter of Don't Forget, set at the Burrow summer after HBP. This is the last update I have for now-it's been fun doing this little slam and hearing from all y'all again!

"So, Ron," George began.
"We know what Harry and Ginny were up to last night," Fred continued.
"What about you?" George finished.
"Well, he wasn't playing Exploding Snap like a couple of first years," Hermione retorted.
Surprised, Harry sucked a bite of toast into his airway and coughed. Fred and George had been doing exactly that when he'd come downstairs. Was she insinuating . . . .
The surprise attack silenced Fred and George long enough for Charlie to jump in from the other end of the table.
"And how would you know that?" he teased.
Harry didn't even try to hide his grin. Hermione looked like a deer in headlights and was rapidly approaching the color of his remaining strawberries. He caught Ginny's eye as she turned from Hermione to Ron. She grinned back, and Harry relaxed. Maybe it hadn't hurt anything to ask her to pass the pumpkin juice.
Hermione recovered quickly. "We were doing something else," she answered primly, drinking her tea with a flushed face but steady hands.
"Which was . . . ." George prodded.
"Exactly what you're thinking," she admitted.
Everyone laughed, both at her concession and at George's gobsmacked expression.
Fred studied her shrewdly. "So, it's like that, is it?"
Hermione's chin went in the air in a very familiar gesture. Harry exchanged looks with Ron, who looked delighted to see her attitude directed at the twins.
"Do you have a problem with that?"
"Not if you've got a wand," George muttered.
"Not at all," Fred corrected. "We were just going to say—"
"It's about bloody time!"
