Authors notes: Hey everyone! I really hope you enjoy this chapter! I just thought this would be a fun little side project for me to work on. Unfortunately that means it isn't going to be my primary focus so no guarantees on how often it will be updated.
"This stops nothing!" Deag Grav hissed in terrified outrage. "Earth will be consumed, regardless of what ha—" He was cut off mid speech as the Doom Slayer didn't bother listening to him and instead just blasted his head off with his Super Shotgun. Rings of crimson energy seemed to ripple outwards from the priest's headless body as everything turned dark red.
"Fool!" The Khan Maykr's disembodied voice growled furiously, seemingly coming from everywhere at once.
Six Crucible Spear wielding Night Sentinels came rushing into the middle of the Arena and pointed their weapons at the Slayer before walking towards him in a battle formation.
"The portal is ready. We should leave immediately." VEGA's voice informed him through his helmet's built in communication systems.
The Doom Slayer tossed a strange glowing blue token of some sort over to Deag Grav's body before turning and walking through the portal. Ending up back on the bridge of the Fortress of Doom he was greeted by warning sirens and machinery sparking dangerously.
"The Khan Maykr has taken over your systems!" Samuel Hayden exclaimed through the ship's intercom as the Doom Slayer began walking forwards towards the terminals in the center of the room. "VEGA has no control over—" His voice suddenly cut out in a short burst of static.
"If you had let the culling continue, the human race you fight to protect would have survived." The Khan Maykr said, having taken over the ship's intercom. The Doom slayer ignored her and tried to access a terminal that had a large red "System Failure" warning on the screen, but it refused to respond. "Now I will resurrect the Icon of Sin. He will devour Earth and leave your homeworld in ruins. Life on your planet shall never return and this will be yet another world you will have brought to extinction."
The Doom Slayer scowled murderously under his helmet and clenched his fists with enough force to crush a solid steel girder like an empty can of soda. He was already going to kill this bitch for siding with the demons, but now he was going to make sure her death was as slow and agonizing as possible. Assuming he had the time, anyways. Which, admittedly, was an infuriatingly rare occurrence for him. It didn't matter. Either way he was going to make her death more painful then it would have been otherwise.
"I was considering just shutting down your power and making this stronghold serve as your prison. After all, one would think that with no power you could do no more harm to our mission. However, I am not so foolish as to believe so simple a prison would be able to hold you for long… Instead, I will be sending you somewhere far away. Somewhere where you will never be able to interfere with our plans and threaten Urdak ever again! I know not where you shall end up, but in the end it matters little. May we never meet again, Slayer…" With that there was a large explosion of sparks all throughout the bridge as a massive dark blue portal opened up in front of the Fortress of Doom and the station suddenly began rapidly moving towards it.
The Doom Slayer scowled as he tried his best to consider any way he could possibly stop the fortress before it went through that portal but was unable to think of anything. Completely giving up on saving the Fortress of Doom, the Doom Slayer sprinted over to the window of the bridge and began punching it in an attempt to break through it so he could escape by jumping out into space and using his guns to propel himself away from the portal and towards the surface of Earth. After all, he'd had an even harder landing less than an hour ago when he shot himself out of a railgun.
However, his punches seemed to do nothing to the viewing window. As such he began to punch harder, and harder, and harder, and harder until he eventually managed to put a small dent whatever the hell hyper advanced alien material made up the window. Sick of this he reeled his fist back in preparation to unleash a blow strong enough to crack a planet in half upon the window. However by that point it was already far too late. The Fortress of Doom had reached the portal and there was no longer anything he could do to escape.
As the Fortress began to enter the portal, the Doom Slayer's vision turned red as truly cosmic levels of pure unadulterated rage and hatred began to fill his mind as he realized exactly what was about to happen and what it meant for this version of Earth and Humanity. His wrath was so great that for the first time in countless quadrillions of years after being put through the Divinity Machine by Samur Makyr, the Doom Slayer finally broke his eons long silence. At first it started off as a mere furious growl but it rapidly grew into a rabid shout of unimaginable fury that shook all of reality down to its very roots.
It was such that it made even the Khan Makyr and the Dark Gods of Hell cower in abject terror as for the first time in their existences they were forced to realize that they were not as powerful as they once believed. That within the confines of that little fortress there was a being far stronger and more terrible than any of them could ever even so much as dream of being. He wasn't just some pathetic human warrior who had merely been granted immortality as they had suspected, nor was he simply some unkillable abomination created when Samur Maykr granted a mortal divinity, he wasn't even a god. No… The Doom Slayer was something far worse and more dangerous than any of them could have ever possibly imagined even in their worst most demented nightmares. He was an existential constant. He was the very embodiment of destruction. He was death made flesh. He was doom personified, and he wielded the infinite power of The Father. And mere hatred did not even come close to describing a fraction of a shadow of the sheer cosmic loathing he held for them.
The only one who wasn't afraid was Davoth, the ruler of Hell, as he was the Father. The true Father. The first being and the one who had created all of existence. And the Slayer was the same as him. He was the Slayer's equal in every capacity as they were merely alternate versions of the same person. Though he may have been trapped in his life-sphere by the one who betrayed him and stole his power and name, reducing him to little more than a mere presence, he was still the Slayer's equal and thus had no reason to fear him for why would he ever fear himself? He hated the Slayer, yes, but he would never fear him. He knew the Slayer would return eventually and when he did the Heavens would face his wrath just as Hell had for eons long past. And unlike the eternally vengeful and malicious Demons of Jekkad the eternally arrogant and self righteous Angels of Urdak would not withstand his unrelenting apocalyptic fury. Especially not with the pretender who stole his name not present to lead them.
[Hell]
It had been a fairly average day in Hell. Extermination Day had just passed, there had been a major turf war in the middle of the city, the princess of hell had just embarrassed herself on live television, and drug deals, rape, murder, and cannibalism were running rampant as per usual. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary, all things considered. That was until a massive blue portal opened up above Pentagram City and what looked like a large floating building slowly emerged from it before coming to an unnaturally abrupt stop above the city. And with its emergence came a beastial howl of such vast power, rage, and hatred that it caused the entire cosmos to quake as it echoed through every corner and realm of reality from the deepest darkest depths of Hell, to the realm of the living, and even to the most divine heights of Heaven.
This roar immediately caught the attention of both God himself and the Devil as all of existence was shaken down to its very foundations. As far as either of them were aware there should not have been any beings other than them that should be even remotely powerful enough to do such a thing and the fact that there apparently was disturbed them greatly as both knew for a fact that God had created no such being other than Lucifer. As such they both used their power to cast their gazes upon the source of this cosmic event. What they saw only served to cause their worries to skyrocket to entirely new heights.
They both saw what appeared to be but a mortal man in strange green armor. Though they could both see past the man's mortal form saw the three hounds of death, destruction, and doom sitting before him eagerly awaiting his command to bring about the end of days as he was more than simply their master, he was their God. He was death itself made manifest in the form of a man. He was rage. He was hatred. He was destruction. He was war. He was genocide. He was armageddon made flesh. And above all else he was doom. He was the physical embodiment of all these things and his burning, ravenous, unending, unholy hatred of all things evil shone clear in his soul like the light of a star made of pure hell-fire the size of a universe. And they saw the seemingly endless oceans of the blood of the wicked that stained his soul just as they saw his soul forever scorched and blackened by the unholy fires of Hell. They could see the nigh infinite sea of souls he had consumed of monstrous beings so warped, twisted, and unimaginably evil that it made their stomachs turn to see the nightmarish horrors that were their sins. Not even the most depraved and evil demons in history could even remotely compare to the monstrosities this man… no… this being in the form of a man had slaughtered for countless eons before his arrival here.
Other than the two of them no one else had any idea what was happening or what this roar could possibly mean. Not the demons, not the humans, and not the angels. Though the inhabitants of Pentagram City could tell that the roar had come from the strange fortress ominously looming in the sky above them.
The local news channels were quick to send out cameramen and reporters since something like this wasn't exactly an everyday occurrence. Most average demons, however, desperately attempted to ignore the unexplainable sense of dread and terror the sight of the fortress and the sound of the roar filled them with. They all tried their best to suppress or ignore their instincts that were telling them to run or hide and go about their daily business, attempting to rationalize or dismiss it as some random overlord or something trying to flex their cash or power to earn more influence. This would prove to be the single greatest mistake any of them had ever made in the entirety of their existences.
[Inside the Fortress of Doom]
The Doom Slayer's vision was tinted blood red as the portal closed behind the Fortress of Doom and he finally stopped his furious roar.
"We have failed." Samuel Hayden's voice said in an uncharacteristically defeated tone. "Humanity is doomed… I should have anticipated this!"
The Doom Slayer gritted his teeth even harder, his entire body was now trembling with his raw fury. That was when he sensed the presence of countless demons directly below the Fortress of Doom. Looking out the window of the Fortress of Doom he saw that it was currently positioned above some sort of city. Walking over to the terminals in the center of the room, typed some things into it, then activated the portal which would take him to the ground below.
"Where are you going, Slayer?" Samuel Hayden inquired.
"Detecting heavy demonic activity all throughout the city below, Dr. Hayden." VEGA informed him.
"I see…" Dr. Hayden muttered in response as the Doom Slayer stepped through the portal.
[At the Happy Hotel]
Charlie, Vaggie, Angel Dust, and the Happy Hotel's new staff all watched in a mixture of fear and awe as Alastor crushed Sir Pentious' airship with terrifying ease. As the ship exploded Alastor turned back to face them all and exclaimed, "Well I'm starved! Who wants some jambalaya?" Walking past them back towards the hotel he continued, "My mother once showed me a wonderful recipe for jambalaya! In fact it nearly killed —" He was cut off mid speech as a loud roar reverberated through the entire city from seemingly every direction at once and everything shook as if they were in the middle of an earthquake.
When the roar faded and everything stopped shaking Angel Dust pointed towards the sky and exclaimed, "Hey, what the fuck is that up there?!"
Everyone looked up to where he was pointing and saw a massive dark blue portal in the sky. Before anyone could say anything else what looked like a tower or something off of some sort of castle came flying through. The portal closed and the floating tower came to an unnaturally abrupt stop above the city.
"Ugh… Whatever it is, just lookin' at it gives me the fuckin' creeps… It's just got that same creepy ass vibe as those exterminator douchebags but like… ramped all the way up to fuckin' eleven or somethin'…" Husk muttered grimly before taking a swig of his cheap booze. "Call me crazy but wasn't the last extermination like just fuckin' yesterday? So we shouldn't be due for another until next year or somethin' right?"
"Yeah, you're right but... that doesn't look like something the Exterminators would use to me… I wonder what's going on?" Charlie nervously agreed, staring up at the floating building. She definitely understood what Husk was talking about. For some reason she couldn't really explain the sight of the floating building sent chills down her spine and caused a terrifying sense of existential dread to fill her down to her very soul. Looking around she saw that everyone else appeared to be equally affected. While he was doing a good job of hiding it, she could tell by how his usual smile and confident posture had faltered slightly that even Alastor wasn't entirely immune to the effects of whatever this thing was.
"Say, Miss Magne, be a dear and call your father, would you?" Alastor requested turning to look at Charlie. "Perhaps he might know more about this rather strange and unexpected turn of events! If not, then he should probably be informed as soon as possible… Call it a hunch but something in my gut tells me that something BIG is about to happen, and whatever it is I don't like it one bit…"
"Uh... Yeah, sure. That's probably a good idea." Charlie nodded, quickly pulling her hellphone out of her pocket and starting to flip through her contacts. "There should be an old hellevision in the living area of the Hotel so while I do that you all should go check the news to see if they know what's going on. I'll be there as soon as I hear from my dad." The others seemed to accept this and proceeded to head back into the hotel to let Charlie make her call.
Quickly finding her father's phone number in her contacts Charlie proceeded to try to call him. The phone rang, and rang, and rang until it eventually went to her father's voicemail. Hanging up she immediately tried again. "Come on… Come on... Please just answer already!" She muttered to herself as the phone rang and rang, her eyes never once leaving the unnerving building floating above the city off in the distance. She thought it was just going to go to voicemail again when on the sixth ring her father finally answered.
"Charlie dear, you need to get out of that city as soon as possible." Her father stated in a deathly serious tone as soon as he answered her call.
"What? Why? What's going on? Some sort of roar just shook the entire city then some sort of massive blue portal just appeared above Pentagram City and spat out this giant floating building. It's sort of hard to explain without you being here to see it for yourself but there's just something terrifying about it, one of my hotel's new staff members even compared it to the exterminators. Do you know anything about it, what it's doing here, or where it may have come from?" Charlie inquired, still staring at the terrifying structure floating above the city.
"I know. That roar was not limited to Pentagram City. It shook all of creation and the being who made that roar is in that building at this very moment and if you don't get the fuck out of there now I'm certain that he is going to kill you along with everyone else in that damned city… You know what, no. For now just stay in your hotel and fucking hide. I'll be sending some people to come pick you up. They should be there soon, but until then I want you to head inside, lock the doors, and no matter what happens you are not to let anyone inside until my soldiers get there. If anyone tries to force their way in, either kill them or have Vaggie or whoever else is there with you kill them for you. Right now, above all else, your safety is my number one priority. I have no idea who or what this thing is or what he's doing here but I know for a fact that he's extremely powerful and extremely angry and he fucking hates demons more than anyone has ever hated anything in the entire history of the universe. There isn't time to explain, just know that if he finds you before you get here you will die. Now I have to go. I love you, Charlie. Please, stay safe."
With that her father hung up leaving Charlie standing there completely and utterly terrified. Her father had actually sounded scared. Her father for the first time in her life had legitimately sounded scared. Whatever was happening, whatever this being was, was enough to actually scare her father, the second most powerful being in existence next to God himself.
Trembling in fear she put her phone back in her pocket and quickly sprinted back inside the Happy Hotel. Surprisingly the doors were already fixed, which she assumed was due to Alastor. As such she slammed them shut behind her and proceeded to lock them, as her father had instructed. She then ran to the living area of the hotel where she found everyone standing or sitting around the hellevision watching commercials, except for Niffty who was more focused on rushing around the room fixing and cleaning everything. As she walked in everyone turned to look at her. "Well, what did your dad have to say about this?" Vaggie inquired as Charlie entered the room. Then she noticed how terrified Charlie looked. "Charlie? What's wrong? Why do you look so scared?" She asked in an extremely concerned tone.
"H-he said to stay in here and hide until some people come to pick us up… If anyone tries to get inside he wants us to kill them... Whoever or… whatever made that roar is going to kill us all if he finds us… My dad, he… he sounded so… so scared… I've never heard him sound scared about anything before…" Charlie told them all.
Upon hearing this, Alastor dropped his usual smile and suddenly looked very serious. "My, now that is unexpected! If your father is afraid then whoever this fellow may be, he must be an extremely dangerous individual indeed! Your father isn't even afraid of me and let me tell you, that is saying something…"
"Eh, fine by me. I still got ammo left in my guns so if anyone needs killin', I can help." Angel Dust offered, leaning back against a wall and taking out one of his guns. "That is, if Smiles over here doesn't feel like crushing 'em like he did the last guy." He said, motioning towards Alastor.
"Hey, the news is back on, everybody shut it!" Husk growled in irritation, causing everyone to turn their focus towards the old hellevision.
"Good afternoon, I'm Katie Killjoy." Katie Killjoy introduced herself.
"And I'm Tom Trench." Tom Trench introduced himself. "Breaking news, some sort of roar apparently shook the entirety of Hell earlier today and it appears to have come from an ominous building that just appeared above Pentagram City. Our crew is currently on sight just below this strange and eerie structure so let's switch over to them!"
The screen then switched to yet another reporter standing out in the middle of the street. "Thanks Tom, we're currently directly underneath this large floating structure. As of yet there have been no further developments, but—"
The reporter was cut off as another dark blue portal opened up directly behind him and what looked like a very muscular human wearing strange green futuristic armor stepped through. Primal dread flooded through everyone in the room as they looked at this strange man. The eerie feeling they got while looking at the fortress floating above the city was multiplied exponentially by several orders of magnitude as they gazed upon this being. It was as if they were looking at several billion of the Exterminators at once all concentrated into this one being.
Before anyone could do anything else, the being rushed towards the nearest demon at speeds so fast that he effectively turned invisible for a moment before grabbing them by the legs and swinging them like a baseball bat into another demon causing both of the demons to explode into a fine red mist. Dropping the remnants of the first demon's leg he rushed over to yet another demon before literally ripping them in half with his bare hands. The man then broke another demon's arm and shoved the bone that was now sticking out through their skull. He ripped one of the legs off of the next demon and proceeded to violently beat them to death with their own severed limb.
While death was not an uncommon thing to witness on the news in Hell, this was different. Something happened to each and every last one of the demons he killed. It was nothing like what happened when someone was killed by one of the Exterminators. It was like something vital was ripped out of them and consumed by this man, some crucial part of their very beings. Like he was consuming their very souls. Witnessing this filled everyone in the room with a deep sense of existential dread.
Someone pulled out a gun and started shooting the man in a desperate attempt to kill him before he killed them, however the bullets merely bounced off his armor not even so much as scratching the paint. Even the bullets that hit the exposed flesh of his arms bounced off doing absolutely nothing to him. It was like he didn't even feel them. Turning towards the one who was shooting at him he drew a chainsaw from seemingly nowhere before blinking towards them and stabbing them through the stomach with the gristly weapon painfully shredding their internal organs in a gruesome spray of blood and gore. The demon screamed as it thrashed and struggled but was unable to free themself from their torturous fate. The man didn't stop there, however. After a moment he began slowly dragging the whirling blade upwards. The demon's screams only intensified the further the blade got until it reached the demon's chest and started shredding their heart and lungs. Even then the man continued until the chainsaw came out of the top of the demon's skull. Finally the demon's partially bisected body fell to the ground and the chainsaw disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared.
At this point the cameraman had dropped the camera as he and the reporter both started running away. However they wouldn't get very far as the man would charge towards them so fast that he quite literally broke the sound barrier, before ripping them both limb from limb. All they could hear were the agonized screams of the two demons before they abruptly came to a stop moments later. Finally the reporter's severed head hit the ground in front of the camera. At this point someone turned off the hellivision.
The room was filled with a stunned silence as everyone processed what they had just witnessed. After a moment Alastor broke the silence by saying, "I like his style! The blood, the gore, the raw violence and brutality! Absolutely exquisite!"
"Ugh… You are one sick bastard, you know that?" Husk grumbled.
"Eh, I don't see what the big deal is. This guy just seems like the run of the mill psychopath. It ain't like we don't got like a trillion of guys exactly like him down here." Angel Dust stated nonchalantly.
Vaggie looked at him incredulously. "You're kidding me, right? Last time I checked, run of the mill psychopaths aren't bulletproof let alone fast enough to break the sound barrier! Plus all of us saw what happened when he killed those guys right?"
Angel Dust grimaced. "Ugh, don't remind me. I don't know what the hell that freak did to 'em but I know it ain't natural."
"It seems to me that he devoured their souls, or whatever equivalent demons like us may have! It was quite the spectacle, to be sure!" Alastor stated.
Charlie was absolutely horrified by this. Even more so than she had been previously. As if the Exterminators weren't bad enough, now they had to deal with a being that even her father was afraid of running around slaughtering people and eating their souls?! And since Extermination Day had just passed that meant this being likely had no ties to heaven which meant he didn't have to follow their rules and was likely going to continue killing indefinitely. The thought was absolutely devastating to her.
Suddenly all of them felt the ground tremble beneath their feet and heard a loud explosion somewhere outside off in the distance.
[Elsewhere]
The Doom Slayer's vision was still tinted red as he ripped and tore a bloody path through the demonic city with extreme prejudice. His anger over the Khan Maykr's actions was absolutely astronomical and he was taking every last bit of it out on every demon he could find. He was currently not restraining himself nearly as much as he normally did and as such was sprinting through the city at hypersonic speeds slaughtering everything in sight. Drawing his rocket launcher he began firing at buildings causing them to collapse with demons still inside them as the explosions destroyed the structural supports.
One particularly large and muscular demon tried to hit him as he was doing this. As such the Doom Slayer put the rocket launcher away, grabbed the demon's arm, and ripped it off. As it was screaming in agony he grabbed it, threw it to the ground, and stomped on its head hard enough to create a large crater in the ground that was wide and deep enough to destroy the entire street and every building in the very large radius of the crater killing every single demon inside of them. He could have stomped even harder and destroyed this entire city all at once but that would have ended this far too quickly and he still had entire galactic superclusters of apocalyptic fury to take out on the entire population. He wasn't going to stop until every last demon in this entire hellscape, even beyond this city, was dead. He had driven entire species of demons to extinction before and he damn well was going to do it again until demons in general no longer existed period, in any reality!
Once every demon in this entire absolutely pathetic version of Hell was dead, he was going to find a way back to his own reality and he was going to go to Urdak and would personally wipe each and every last Maykr off the face of existence until they were extinct! The Khan Maykr had sealed the fate of her species the instant she had decided to resurrect the Icon of Sin and drive that version of Humanity to extinction! Her self righteousness, arrogance, and selfishness was going to be the death of her entire species! No force in existence would stop him from avenging those she had murdered! No, not just murdered but damned to a fate far worse than death!
A hail of bullets and explosives began pelting him like rain as he stormed through the city and the demons tried to put up some measure of resistance. Not having any of this he drew his BFG and pulled the trigger. Tendrils of green energy lanced out from the large green sphere the BFG fired as it flew through the air, each individual tendril causing the demon they hit to explode in a shower of blood and viscera.
About ten minutes into his rampage and what appeared to be military helicopters of some sort appeared and began firing at him. Scowling in fury he launched himself up off the ground towards one of the helicopters and grabbed onto it. Climbing over to the cockpit he ripped the armored wall off of the helicopter, activated his Doomblade, and slaughtered the pilots before taking control for himself. He then proceeded to use his newly hijacked helicopter to shoot several of the others out of the air before being shot out of the air himself.
Launching himself from the falling helicopter, he landed on top of another and lifted his arm with his Doomblade still drawn, cutting off the propellers and sending the helicopter crashing to the ground. The pilots tried to jump out, but the Doom Slayer drew his heavy cannon and shot them out of the air before they could activate any sort of parachutes. He then launched himself off of this falling helicopter and on top of yet another one. This time, instead of cutting the propellers off he fired his heavy cannon through the top of the helicopter and into the cockpit, killing the pilots and sending the helicopter into an uncontrolled spiral falling to the ground and crashing into a building.
More helicopters kept coming and he kept destroying them until eventually tanks started arriving as well. At that point he let himself fall to the ground and charged the tanks even as they shot him with every weapon they had. As soon as he got to the first one he picked it up and threw it far off into the distance. He had no idea what it would crash into and as long as demons died he didn't care.
[At the Happy Hotel]
Everyone was sitting in a tense silence as they waited for the people who were coming to pick them up. Minutes slowly ticked by as they waited. All of them were actually starting to get a bit bored. That was until a tank came crashing through one of the walls, destroying everything in its path as it busted through the next wall into the next room where it finally came to a stop.
"HOLY SHIT!" Vaggie exclaimed. "Charlie, are you okay?!" She exclaimed, immediately rushing over to her.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine… I think… Thanks, Vaggie." Charlie responded coughing from the dust the crash kicked up.
Niffty gasped, "What a mess! No, no, no, this won't do at all!" She then proceeded to start cleaning up the mess made by the tank at very high speeds.
"WHAT THE HELL?! WHY DID A FUCKING TANK JUST COME CRASHING THROUGH THE WALL?!" Angel Dust shouted.
"Hm… If I had to guess, it likely has something to do with this enigmatic being in green armor!" Alastor said, observing the destruction.
"You mean to tell me that green fuck threw a tank from the other side of the fucking city all the way to here?!" Husk exclaimed.
"It would appear so! This is quite a worrying development indeed!" Alastor stated, not dropping his smile for even a moment. Even so, his tone sounded somewhat shaken by this. Very few beings in Hell were strong enough to even lift a tank let alone throw one any distance. For this being to have thrown one this far meant he must have been extremely strong indeed. He knew full well that it would be difficult for even an Overlord to compete with that sort of raw physical strength.
The hatch of the tank opened up and one of the Imps that had been operating it came crawling out, coughing up blood. "Run… Run away…" The Imp choked out, his lungs having been pierced by his own broken ribs caused by the impact. "That… That thing… is a satan damn monster… Run…"
Suddenly there was a loud bang and the Imp's head exploded as Angel Dust shot the Imp. Almost everyone looked at him in shock, though Alastor just seemed amused. Angel Dust noticed their looks and said, "What? You told us to kill anyone who tried to get in here. I think crashing a tank through the fucking wall qualifies! Besides, it's not like he would have lived anyways…"
No one knew what to say to that. So they all simply remained silent.
A few minutes later they all heard someone pounding on the front door through the new hole in the wall between the living area and the lobby. "Princess Charlie, we've come to get you out of here as per your father's orders! Open the door!" Came a muffled shout from the other side of the door.
The group made their way over to the door. Unlocking it, Charlie opened the door revealing a squad of heavily armed and armored soldiers in full combat gear. Behind them was a large convoy of military vehicles ranging from APCs to IFVs and even full on tanks. There were also several helicopters flying overhead.
"Princess, we're going to need you and your girlfriend to come with us. Unfortunately the rest of your hotel staff and… The radio demon…" The soldier growled in disapproval, glaring at Alastor. "Are going to have to remain here."
"What?! But—" Charlie was about to try to argue to convince the soldiers to allow the others to come with them but Angel Dust cut her off.
"Oh that is such complete and utter bullsh—"
The soldier raised his gun and shot Angel Dust twice. Once through the chest and once through the head, killing him. Charlie gasped in horror.
"These orders come directly from Lucifer himself! Does anyone else feel like arguing?!" The soldier shouted at the others behind Charlie and Vaggie.
"What a shame! I was so looking forward to seeing Lucifer again, but oh well. I suppose I shall be taking my leave now! I bid you all adieu!" With that Alistor exited the building and began walking away, not even trying to argue with them. Even so, he was decidedly heading in the opposite direction from the area of the city where the green armored menace was currently located. Husk and Niffty wisely decided to keep their mouths shut.
"That's what I thought!" The soldier growled. "Princess Charlie, please follow me. Unfortunately, given the nature of the current situation Lucifer has decided your usual form of transportation is not heavily armored enough. As such you and your girlfriend will be riding in the APC at the center of the formation until we get back to Lucifer's castle in the capital city."
Charlie was too stunned by what had just happened to move. Seeing the state Charlie was in, Vaggie sighed and began pulling Charlie towards the APC. A few moments later they were both inside the heavily armored military vehicle and were strapped into their seats. Tears were streaming down Charlie's face. Everything was ruined… Her Hotel was wrecked, their only resident was dead, Alastor had likely abandoned the project entirely, and they had just left their hotel staff here to die. Even worse that green armored monster was currently in the process of destroying the city and slaughtering all of its inhabitants even though Extermination Day had already passed. She had just wanted to help her people, but now that may never happen and it was all that green armored bastard's fault!
The APC began to move, taking her and Vaggie away from the hotel, away from the city, and away from the man in green armor.
End notes: Well, this won't end well for the demons of Hazbin Hotel.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed reading this chapter as much as if not more than I enjoyed writing it! Constructive criticism is always welcome! I can't improve if I don't know what I'm doing wrong after all.
Stay safe out there everyone!
