Chapter Seven

The Difference

"I can't believe you were able to capture me." Iida said, shocked and surprised that the automata creatures were able to capture him with little to no effort. Even with his engines at top speed, those creatures were able to keep up with his speed in their pursuit to capture. Needless to say, he was still shocked and surprised. "I didn't know your quirk was able to do something like this."

"Much as I would wish I could do this. I can't. The credit will have to go to Lily for making these...cute but weird creatures." Momo said before placing the capture tape around his wrist.

"So her quirk is metal manipulation. Not a bad quirk to have...shame that it belongs to someone like her."

"I don't know if metal manipulation is her quirk." Momo said as she placed the capturing tape on Iida's wrist. "There might be something more to her than meets the eye."

"What do you mean?"

"From what I noticed when she made these creatures. There were some strange lines appearing on her arms. She also chanted something in latin if I'm not mistaken. Fervor, mei sanguis."

"So you think she's hiding something about her quirk?"

"Maybe, or it could be that she really doesn't know how her quirk works. Either way...I still find it surprising that she can make something like this-" Before she could finish, the two would hear the sound of a beam echoing throughout the training field. They soon looked over to their left to see a beam of light flying through the air and parting a couple of clouds in its way.

"What on earth was that!?" Iida said as Momo blinked upon seeing it.

"No idea...but I get the feeling that Lily might be the cause of it...wait. Where's Bakugo?"

Elsewhere on the training ground. The sound of metal slicing against stone along with metal hitting flesh echoed throughout the area Lily and Bakugo were in. Bakugo was trying his best to avoid most of Lily's attacks with her weapon. It doesn't help that her weapon is invisible so he couldn't tell what the length of the weapon she's holding was, nor could he tell what the weapon was. Was it a sword? An axe? A spear? He could tell what it was, only that it could slice through stone and can hurt him. Just as she was about to hit him with the flat part of her sword, Bakugo quickly pushed himself backwards with his quirk to get away from the onslaught of barrages he was getting from Lily.

"Bastard! Stop hiding your weapon like a coward and face me head on!" He yelled while trying to catch his breath.

"You expect me to show off my secrets to you? Sorry boy, but I'm not up for showing off my trump cards. Especially given how people will take advantage of it." Lily said before getting into a fool's guard stance. "What fool would show off their weapon like a child showing their friends a new toy?"

"Kinda hypocritical given how that's what you're doing." Artoria commented as Lily rolled her eyes.

"The difference is I'm doing this to teach him a hard lesson that there are stronger people than he is...Plus I don't like him."

Bakugo gritted his teeth in anger before blasting off towards Lily with a haymaker. The moment she was about to lift her sword to parry the attack off to the side to counter, Bakugo performed a faint as he spun around towards her right. Once there he was about to unleash a barrage of explosions toward her body, only to be met with a powerful burst of air from her weapon as Bakugo was sent flying backwards into the air before recovering and landing back onto the ground.

As he landed, his eyes widened upon seeing Lily appearing in front of her so quickly as he ducks underneath her strike to his head and counters with a blast to her face, which caused her to back away due to the attack stinging her face slightly as she coughs due to inhaling some of the smoke from his explosion. Bakugo took this as an opportunity to unleash a barrage of powerful explosions which engulfed her in said explosion and dust cloud created from his quirk. His attack went on for a good thirty seconds as he soon pulled himself back with a smug expression on his face.

"About damn time I got a good hit in. Bet you weren't expecting that you damn villain!" He yelled before noticing his gauntlets glowing red. Indicating that they were filled to the brim with his sweat and were ready to be used if he needs to use them.

"Think it's about time you should end this fight." Artoria said as Lily nodded in agreement. "Try not to kill him with it."

"You have some battle awareness. I can give you that. But sadly it's not up to par with the villains I've fought and killed for the past ten years." Lily said before getting into a long point stance. "But I can give you a parting gift for giving me a new fighting style when it comes to hand to hand combat." Bakugo was about to say something insulting but soon noticed particles of light floating up around the area they were in. The particles of light began to float towards Lily, to be specific. The invisible sword she was holding was starting to glow brightly from the light it was gathering light from the planet.

"Sheathed in the breath of the planet, a torrent of shining life." Once enough light was gathered into the sword, it erupted as a bust of light wildly burst out. She gets into a wrath guard stance as if she was holding a baseball bat getting ready to hit a ball coming at her. Bakugo too noticed this as he quickly placed his hands in front of himself as he was about to pull the pins off with his mouth, but soon stopped upon seeing the light her sword burning brightly. "Feel its wrath! Excalibur!" Lily yelled before bringing her sword down as a beam of light was heading towards him, only for it to move past him as the blast went off towards an area off in the training ground. Upon making contact with the ground off in the distance, a pillar of light shot up into the sky as it parted some of the clouds within the area.

Bakugo's eyes widened and mouth gaping open, feeling the attack blast past him along with turning around to see the pillar of light shot up toward the sky. He soon turned his attention onto Lily who was glaring down at him from on top of a mountain of dirt with a dark expression on her face. As if telling him "This will end in either your death or worse." Everything around him went silent except for the beating of his heart beating fast within himself. This feeling he was feeling wasn't adrenaline or excitement for something he was excited for. He knew what that felt when he got into U.A High. Not...this feeling he was feeling...was fear. This villain...no, this thing could have easily killed him with that blast of light she made. Were it not for the rules, he was sure that she was willing to kill him without hesitation. Questions upon questions started to fill Bakugo's mind as he started to hyperventilate, but he soon stopped upon feeling something being placed around his wrist. Upon snapping back into reality, he soon saw Lily placing the capturing tape around his wrist.

"You lose." Lily said as the sound of an air horn echoed throughout the training grounds.

"The match is over. T-The villains win this match!" All Might said as he along with the other students were taken by surprise by what they saw on the screen. "Please report back to the entrance of the field so we can go over what happened." He said as Lily unwrapped the capturing take around Bakugo's wrist before heading off back to where Momo was.

"Little bit of a warning. You should be careful about what you say." Lily said as she returned back to wearing her normal clothes. "Because you don't know if all that boast will come back and bite you on the ass."

In a matter of two minutes or so, the two groups made their way back to where All Might and the other students were. Upon entering the room, Lily could tell that there was a bit of awkwardness within the room. Mainly towards Lily after what she displaced on the screen they were watching. The lingering silence was interrupted by All Might speaking.

"Excellent work for both teams. But the MVP for this fight would have to be Lily and Momo." He said, which took Lily by surprise. "Anyone know why they're the MVP?"

"Is it because they won the fight?" Mina asked as the symbol of peace shook his head.

"Nope, anyone else?" he asked as some of the students were pondering what else could there be, or they were too focused on their own match, or didn't care. The one to answer his question was Momo who spoke up.

"Sir, it was because we were working as a team. Lily came up with a defensive plan given how she could tell that there was no way for me to counter Iida speed, nor could I fight head on with Bakugo. So it would be obvious that she would take on Bakugo given her battle awareness and skills from her time living on the streets as the villain killer. Not to mention she was fully prepared to support her partner with the snacks she brought onto the field...though I don't think it was legal on her part." She said before looking at Iida and Bakugo. "Iida and Bakugo didn't have a plan from what I'm assuming. Though given how he's paired with Bakugo, it was possibly hard to cooperate with him seeing how he would take on Lily by himself instead of having Iida and him attack her as a team. If they were to fight her two on one, then they would've been able to capture her with Iida's speed and Bakugo's explosion which could've blinded her for Iida to place the capture tape on her."

"She's right about that." Lily chimed in. "And I was holding back during my fight with Bakugo for the most part so I didn't accidentally kill him or break any of his bones."

"Holding back!? Dude, you shot a laser past him which was about the equivalent of an atomic bomb!" Jiro yelled as it caused Lily to sheepishly grin.

"Yeah, sorry about that...I didn't think I put that much energy into that attack."

"Um...well. There were a few things that you missed. But all in all, you did well at explaining it." All Might said while giving Momo a thumb's up. "Great job with your explanation." He said before turning his attention onto the other students. "Alright, next up for the match. Kirishima and Sato versus Kaminari and Jiro! Head over to the training grounds and we'll begin the match!" He yelled as the two teams headed off towards the training ground.

"Well that went better than expected...though you need better control over using excalibur like that." Artoria stated as it caused Lily to groan silently

"Yeah, I didn't think there was that much power when using that.I mean I can understand if it made a hole through a mountain, but not an explosion like that!"

"Hence what I said. You're not ready to wield the holy lance. Once you master Excalibur, then we can move on to the Rhongomyniad." She said before noticing Lily walking towards the side of the room they're in, leans her back against the wall before slumping down to the ground as she sighs.

"Tired?" said a voice beside her as Lily looks over to see Mina looking down on her with a smile and a can of soda. The pseudo servant shrugs at the offer as she takes it and begins to drink.

"For the most part, but the blast I did kinda did it….Thanks."

"Don't mention it." Mina said before offering a hand to Lily for her to shake. "My name's Mina Ashido by the way. You're Lily Lilac, right?"

"I am, yes." She said before shaking Mina's hand for a moment before releasing it. "Any reason why you're here next to me?"

"I figure you must be exhausted after the fight you had. Plus I kinda wanted to be the first to try and talk to you, but Momo kinda beat me to the punch with that. But that's the class vice representative for you. And I didn't know if you were like Bakugo and didn't want to get to know your classmates."

"Well I'm not against getting to know everyone in this class, but I'm not going to make the first move. Mainly because I want to see who's ballsy enough to come up to be without judging me for my past. Like you and Momo."

"Seems like it's an excuse for someone who's afraid of meeting new people~" She said which caused Lily to look up at her with a raised eyebrow at the pink girl. "What? I'm not wrong am I?"

"Agree to disagree. But like I said, I'll let them come to me if they want to be my friend. Other than that, I'll enjoy them ignoring me."

"I'm pretty sure that would be impossible." Mina said which caused Lily to raise an eyebrow at her again. "Well you are the famous Villain killer, the girl that sent Endeavor flying into the water, and knocked down dragoon with just one punch. You having people ignore you is like coming to school naked...it's not going to pan out well for you."

"...She is not wrong." Artoria said which caused Lily's eyes to widen upon realizing this.

"...This school year's going to suck."

"Oh don't be like that. At least it can't get any worse for you...right?" Mina asked which caused Lily to deadpan at her. "Right?"
