His skin melted off, he was caught off guard in the dungeon, he never expected something like this to happen to him. He felt excruciating pain for the first time, but he didn't heal unlike his fight with Allen and had to deal with the constant pain.
Something was wrong with his healing power, Bell didn't know how to activate the green light with lightning imbued in it, which helped him fight Allen and healed his leg from having a spear through it.
He was trapped in the Lambdon, filled with fear unable to move from fright, the terrifying snake swallowed him whole and was boiling his body alive and he had thought through life and death battles, he would get stronger.
But these were circumstances out of his control and he never expected himself to be caught from surprise by a monster. He expected to fight a monster i and to gain excelia from fights with creatures as strong as that on his own terms.
The dungeon was not a merciful place, it was a cruel place, there was no mercy, you had two options: adapt or die. Bell never got any advice on the dungeon, he never expected any traps or suddenly out of nowhere a monster would pop out and pull you down deeper in the dungeon and digest you. But he adapted.
Bell immediately cooled down and stopped having the fear freeze him, he knew it was a do or die situation. He was inside the monster and he could feel his body melting, he had a magic called Via Shileim and it was supposed to protect him from physical and magical attacks.
It was apparently a no cast magic so he casted it and the burning stopped, his clothes still had parts where the skin was melted, and digestive fluids was still over his body but he rubbed it off on the clothes Freya had given him, which were of premium quality and somewhat resistant to the acids.
Hogni almost cussed on his goddess name, he just saw one of the rarest things to ever happen in the dungeon to the person he was sent to protect. He knew that if Bell died, Freya would leave them to follow his soul into Tenkai. This was a situation as terrifying as the great feud, a evilus attack where they had executives of the Hera and Zeus familia. He was writing his awesome novel and was going over the part where he was fighting all of the Zeus and Hera familia by himself with only one hand and winning and got the alias Hogni The Ultra Invincible. Yea thats write he wrote it down so his name itself was the compliment the gods gave him, how pompous ,
He immediately ran down the tunnel knowing the boy was still a level one, and was going to do whatever he could to save him. Even if it costs his life, because it was the duty his goddess had assigned.
2 hours later, Bell noticed that the monster stopped moving and his mind was slowly running out. He used his blade and didn't swing, he learned the piercing motion from Ottar, and how to stab through something and Bell had broken through the monster.
Although he had some of his skin melted off, and had no potions courtesy of the evilus idiot, who he had tried to save. Bell was in non stop pain, his flesh was torn off and it was comparable to the feeling of when you step on a lego. (I could've easily found something better to describe it, but nah)
All around Bell were thousands of eyes emanating bloodlust, Bell had fallen into the colosseum, and there were legions of monsters spawning there. Bell was scared of the simple Lambdon and he was trapped within a place where the Loki and Freya familia frequently avoided because of the mass of monsters, which appeared.
He couldn't escape and he was stuck within the middle of all of these monsters. Bell only had one option fight to the death, he knew that he was in dire circumstances especially with those monsters being almost 4 times the size of what appeared in the 21st floor everything was around 40 feet tall, the monsters were much faster, stronger and more coordinated, they didn't care about how many of them died, all that mattered was killing Bell.
Bell for the first time faced death, normally if a level 1 adventurer was surrounded by countless level 4 monsters, they would die within seconds, but Bell had some dormant power within him and had lifesteal which the more he damaged the monster the faster he would heal. Although he didn't know about this ability, albeit Freya not telling him about it his abilities.
3 hours through slaughtering monsters and getting terribly injured himself, many times he had lost his limbs through the scuffles and got his vitals hit many times, but he had gotten up and damaged the monsters. He realized the more monsters he had damaged the faster he would heal and attributed it to the benefits of Falna, after all he didn't know much about other adventurers. One time an irregular spartoi had spawned, which was a skeleton monster and was the most dangerous level 4 monster, and it had nearly ripped Bell in half leaving most of his organs hanging out and was comparable to level 5. Bell had struggled and was able to keep moving through all of the pain and healing on the monsters and kept inflicting damage on them,
Another 2 hours had passed, Bell was struggling with the monsters, he was beginning to recognize the pattern of dealing with multitudes of armies, and he no longer suffered attacks that would kill him, and was getting much stronger despite not having any increase in stats, his battle awareness had shown a complete turn. The originally endless spawning of monsters, had begun to slow down, down on the ground there had lied tens of thousands of magic crystal, Bell had not used his magic at all against those creatures because he was still low on mind against the Lambdon and didn't know how to heal his mind, since he avoided those lessons that Freya advised him to get. Yet he was becoming exhausted, he was not used to combat at all, the only fighting experience or even working this hard never happened, Bell was struggling to keep his mind in that state.
Your talent doesn't matter if your dead was a conclusion that Bell came with, he was going to pay attention to anything the guild advisor taught him after this, and was going to learn everything from Hedin, although he glared at Bell, anything was better than being dead.
Back in Babel
Since Bell wasn't there, Freya returned to Babel instead of being at Folkvangr
Freya feasting her eye's on this spectacle from Babel tower was once again having an orgasm at the sight of Bell's soul becoming even more beautiful; she had never heard of a level 1 adventurer holding his own with level 4 monsters in sawms. He was so much better than Loki's Ais who Loki had nonstop bragged about. Her Bell was so much better, Although during the great feud, Ais had held off a level 7 monster by herself, her Bell was so much cooler and had great sustainability in the battle.
And she was going to get some revenge on Hogni, all first class adventurers had telling signs of something bad occurring, she assumed that Hogni knew, but chose to leave Bell with those monsters to get more affection from her with him gone. But the truth was Hogni was writing his novel, where he was the legendary Hogni Dark Elf feared by all. Poor Hogni… he wasn't ready for what Freya had prepared and Ottar's fist.
Another time skip, He was nearly exhausted he had reached the limits of his body, even if he was using life steal there was a limit on his stamina and regeneration, he had been ripped apart countless times during the battle, he lost limbs 8 times, Bell was counting each time he was injured and reflecting upon why he had been so injured. His ability to heal was the only thing that sustained him during the battle, but he was done and there was only one monster left. The monster was left approaching him and Bell couldn't move...
