The Factions Meeting End!
Heading back towards the area the leaders of the factions to keep Gasper safe, Isane and the others were making good times back to the meeting when Rias saw a power shining down on top of them.
"What's..."
As she spoke, Isane looked up and saw Bikou smirking down.
"Hey, that's the idiot monkey that tried to do horrible things to us!"
Xenovia Irina and Gasper looked up, worry came over them as Bikou shot his hand down, shooting out his power.
Responding to that, Rias placed a barrier up, blocking the attack before it could reach their bodies, protecting them.
"Bikou! You're going this far!?"
Rias snapped at him.
Bikou laughed, jumping down to meet them, and brought out his staff. Spinning around his staff, it grew to the size of Bikou himself, while Xenovia placed her sword out.
"He's the enemy, so let me finish this!"
Xenovia brought down her sword in a massive swing, releasing holy power from it.
Even Bikou was surprised by it, but he dodged out of the way and then extended his staff for her. Moving so fast, she didn't have time to react as it slammed into her stomach, sending her off of her feet, and away from the area.
"Xenovia!"
Irina panicked as Isane tightened her hand.
"Bikou, what do you think you're doing?"
Rias demanded from him, Bikou's finger pointed to Gasper as Xenovia recovered.
"The half Vampire there, give him over to me."
A tone that was serious didn't sound right to Rias, coming from Bikou as he usually was so playful.
"What do you want with Gasper?"
"Heh, I don't want anything from him, but there's someone that I know that does want something from him. So hand over the Vampire Rias-chan and I'll be on my merry way."
Rias scowled, seeing Gasper shivering.
Isane was pissed though and her hand was tightening more and more.
"Do you honestly expect me to give up my important Bishop to you?"
"It's either that or I'd have to go through you."
Rias increased her aura, her hair began to fly up into the air, and stand by itself. Her crimson red aura surrounded her, and concentrated in her hands.
"If it is for my Bishop, then I'll fight you."
Showing her serious face, Bikou chuckled, and charged forward. His speed was fast, faster than Rias', and she ended up being blind sided by him. But she thought about him moving like that, so she had set up a barrier around her form, blocking off the attacks that Bikou had made with his staff.
The barrier shattered upon him releasing his attack against it, and the staff went for her body when she released her Power of Destruction against the staff coming for her, the attack landed against the staff, clashing violently together in a whirlwind of power.
Seeing that, Isane stepped forward and looked Bikou right in the eyes.
"I wont let you hurt Buchou or anyone else!"
"Hmph, and what are you going to do exactly? You don't even have the power of Balance Breaker, and as it is, your base form wouldn't be enough to fight against me. Come back at me when you're Vali or Haruki or something."
Isane knew without Balance Breaker, he was right, she wouldn't be able to fight against Bikou evenly.
But she did have something that could assist her, and with the others unable to fight Bikou on his level, she took out the bracelet Azazel gave her, wrapping it around her wrist.
"Irina, Xenovia. Get Gasper back to the others."
"Ise-chan..."
Irina began but Xenovia nodded.
"She's right Irina, we should separate the monkey from his target as much as possible. Getting back to the leaders, Bikou couldn't fight them."
"Hey, hey, hey! You're saying unnecessary things! Aren't you?"
Bikou said with surprise, Irina and Xenovia paid no heed, took Gasper, and began running.
Sighing, Bikou brought out his staff, and caused it to extend for them.
Isane looked down at herself, and knew she'd have to fight this time, so she activated the device to allow her to go into Balance Breaker.
[Welsh Dragon Over Booster!]
Releasing the power of the bracelet that she had, the Sacred Gear she had shined and equipped her with a red version of what Vali usually wore. This was the first time that Isane had actually ever done this, and feeling the new power the Boosted Gear Scale Mail was able to give to her, she felt incredible.
A countdown appeared on the jewel on her arm, and she saw that she had about fifteen minutes.
The jets on her back appeared, boosting her speed, and got between Bikou's attack, and the girls plus Gasper, crossing her arms, she took the shot head on.
Bikou was astonished, seeing that some of the armour gained huge cracks.
But it began fixing itself, as Isane swung her arms out, the strength behind it thanks to Isane powering up to Queen beforehand was enough to cause even Bikou to be rather interested in what was going to happen next.
"I wont let you...I wont let you get them Bikou! Whatever reasons you have for selling out the Factions, you're gonna have to answer to them!"
Rias was shocked, seeing the power that Isane had now.
Even she could feel the training she had gone through was paying off.
She didn't think that Balance Breaker would increase her aura this much.
Bikou however was excited, and couldn't wait for the battle that was about to go down.
As the fights went on, Baraqiel paced back and forth. He could feel the clashes of power, and he could feel his son fighting someone that was beyond Ultimate Class, yet wasn't at the same time, it was perplexing as he felt its power fluctuating and he didn't know what that could mean for Haruki and if he was in danger.
He also saw Serafall and Gabriel looking on in worry, though they also had their duties to do and even then they wished to go and offer assistance to them.
"I can't stay here like this."
Baraqiel began, Serafall looked at him curiously.
"Why?"
"Because my son...he's facing something strong."
"I know that as well, but I believe that Haru-chan is going to be able to fight and defeat what opponent that he is up against. He'll be okay, I know that he'll think of something to fight against this weird aura that he's up against."
Baraqiel tightened his hands, his eyes looking between the others in the room, and then towards the area that Haruki was in as well.
"...Even if he could be, if there's a chance that he's in danger..."
Gabriel looked on, before moving closer.
"Go."
"Gabriel..."
Serafall spoke up, Gabriel's eyes went towards her.
"It's okay, Baraqiel-san needs to go Serafall-san. Haruki-kun is his son...he wants to be there for his son."
"I can't let my important Queen be hurt anymore. Haru-chan's been through enough."
"I don't want Haruki-kun to go through any emotional pain either...but this is something that has to be talked about between them, something that only they can resolve. Believe in me, okay? I know this seems hard, even I feel reluctant in saying it...but I will support Haruki-kun, no matter the outcome."
Serafall exhaled slowly.
"Honestly Gabriel...alright, I'll trust you this time." Serafall sighed as her eyes shifted to Baraqiel. "Go and see your son, go right now. Hurt him and I'll freeze you."
Baraqiel grimaced.
"But I have to stay here. Even though I wish to go..."
Gabriel shook her head.
"No, it is okay, we will be fine. Go and see what Haruki-kun is doing."
Baraqiel furrowed his brows, as Azazel nodded.
"Go ahead Baraqiel, go and see the situation outside for me."
Giving Baraqiel the excuse on the orders of his leader, Baraqiel inclined his neck, and went towards the window.
Extending his wings, he shot out of the window.
"Haru-chan..."
"It will be okay super best friend." Gabriel smiled out, bringing Serafall's eyes towards her. "Haruki-kun also needs this to help him move forward too. Baraqiel-san has the answers Haruki-kun wishes for, even if they don't come today, if the door is opened between them even a bit...I don't know if they'll ever truly come together again, lots of things have happened...then isn't that what we should support? To help Haruki-kun."
"...You're right Gabriel, even if it just helps Haru-chan move on even more."
Serafall hoped that he'd be okay in the end, but knew that Gabriel was right, even if it was hard now...she knew it would be for the best later on.
Meanwhile Haruki twitched his neck, as he was preparing to leave to find the others, when he felt a new presence coming in. The presence was something that felt rather dark, and his eyes shifted to see from the shadows, a new being was coming in.
He watched as it came out of the shadows, and saw that it looked like a shadowy giant, easily twice the side of him. Claws and fangs that looked to be made out of darkness, Haruki noticed that there were familiar flames coming out of its mouth.
Then next to it, as it waved its hand to the side, a magical circle appeared, and what appeared was Walburga.
But it wasn't the true Walburga, it was a projection.
"Aah, look at you~ Standing there in your Balance Breaker, you're super scary right now, aren't you Onii-chan~?"
Haruki furrowed his brows at the young woman, and then folded his arms.
"So you wont even bother showing up in person? I'm a little surprised that you'd work with the Old Satan Faction."
Walburga laughed through her nose.
"Working with shitty Devils like them? You must be kidding, they aren't worth the time or effort put into them. It is something like taking advantage of a situation, that's all. I thought that while you're here, I'd take you out."
"With that beast there? It must be strong if you think it can defeat me."
"Ooh trust me, I made sure that it is pretty damn strong alright."
Haruki watched as it raised his hand and channelled power into it.
Haruki waved his hand to freeze it, but the beast breathed out flames, holy flames at that from Walburga's Longinus that countered his ice, causing his face to turn annoyed as the beast finished charging up its aura, Walburga smirked.
"You're about to see why you shouldn't mess with me."
Waving out its hand, it shot off a powerful aura. It was then coated in flames of purple from Walburga, he presumed she was transmitting them through the beast somehow, or it was added to the beasts biology, whatever it was the flames were real as was the fact that they were coming for him.
"Holy Ice Lightning!"
Extending his hand to the sky, the ice and lightning combined together, and shot off in such a burst of power even Walburga was surprised as they clashed together. The flames were frozen by the ice, and the lightning ripped right through the aura of the beast.
But when the lightning went towards the beast itself, it dispersed, and caused only a small wound on it, as Haruki noticed the beasts aura suddenly go up, Haruki pondering if it raised its aura to stop the attack or for some other reason.
"Hmmm...so you've done something to make it more resistant to the lightning."
"Maybe~"
Haruki saw it shoot for him at high speeds, so the ice doll waved out her hands, causing several massive spires to raise out of the ground and pierce through the body of the beast all in a single moment, stopping it in place.
But releasing the purple flames toppled with its aura powering up the flames, it melted the ice.
The beast then continued, going for Haruki and brought up its fist, coating it in purple flames, and swung it down for him, as he did the same thing, using Holy Lightning and his ice armour together, clashing violently together.
"It's strength is pretty good, so Walburga wasn't bluffing. Still, this is going to be interesting~"
The intense impact of the strike caused the ground to break around them, even Haruki felt the pain of the punch transmit through him. While the flames weren't able to get through his ice, it did weaken it a good deal so the fist he had couldn't get through and because of the fact that the beast was naturally resistant to lightning, the lightning didn't add much and the beasts fist caused the armour to have a break within it that ran down his arm.
Haruki then zipped around, and got behind the beast, and changed the way his armour was on his arm. Going from a more lean look, to having many spikes protruding out of it, he didn't bother adding Holy Lightning as it was clearly not going to work so easily within the beasts body, so he concentrated more on the sharpness of the ice, and was hoping that he'd be able to rip right through the beast.
He then swung his arm down, concentrating on the Rook's strength to add to the striking power, the Knight's speed as well as the Bishop's magical power to enhance the ices fast movements and power all the more thanks to his Queen piece.
"Have that."
Haruki's fist managed to pierce the beasts body, digging deeply into its flesh and caused it to bleed profusely.
However, something then changed as Walburga laughed.
"If it was that easy, do you think I'd simply allow it to fight you now?"
Haruki watched as the beast turned its neck around.
Unnaturally so, so it was all the way around, the head now facing behind him, and opened its mouth wide. Aura gathered within the beasts mouth and shot out all in the matter of a second, Haruki released his ice to freeze the attack, and it did work to a degree, but the aura managed to get through, smash into his body and sent him flying backwards.
He received a wound across his upper body, but the ice froze it before he could begin bleeding fully.
Flipping in the air, Haruki held out his hands as the beast came back up with a strong punch.
Matching its strength with his own physical might, he came down towards it, and punched very hard. The fists connected, and a shockwave rang through the area, shattering the ice that naturally formed when the Balance Breaker began, though Haruki continued on, his arm turning into one giant ice spike which pierced through the body of the creature, Haruki then sliced across its body several times as he swung his arm out, managing to cut off one of the arms the beast had.
"My, oh my! Look what you've done to my precious friend. I didn't know that you'd be able to that you bad Onii-chan!"
She was toying with him.
Haruki glared at Walburga.
"If you want me dead, come and fight me right here and now."
Walburga licked her lips excitedly.
"Why would I do that? Would be pretty stupid to sacrifice myself for a battle that right now I wont be able to win. But don't you worry, once my pet is done with you, I'll be dancing on your corpse, believe in that."
"And how's it going to do that without arms?"
Haruki said, with Walburga scoffing.
"It has one."
"It's about to be zero arms."
Walburga shook her head.
"You're wrong, it's about to be two arms again."
Haruki focused his eyes on Walburga for a moment, before hearing a cracking noise.
Turning back he saw the ice shattering, and the body of the creature was going through something that caused Haruki to blink a few times.
As if it was regenerating, he saw the arm had been restored, and the wounds it had before had gone.
Completely healed now, it swung for Haruki who retreated back, and got a safe distance away.
"You're fast, and strong. And you have counters to my attacks, even my Holy Lightning in fact, this is going to be interesting. I've been itching for a good battle."
"More than that, it's going to be the final battle you have."
Walburga smirked out, Haruki hummed as he watched the beasts body increase its aura.
Responding, Haruki did the same thing and readied himself.
Seeing the aura coming off of it, it was clear that the power that it had was increasing yet decreasing.
Haruki wasn't entirely sure why, but it did consistently have the power above High Class, but not a strong Ultimate Class either. So, it only made Haruki wonder more and more what was truly going on with this creature.
As that went on, Isane and Bikou stared off. Irina and Xenovia managed to get away with Gasper, Rias looked on and wondered how she was going to assist her Pawn now that the enemy was someone like Bikou who she could feel had a good deal of power, while not Vali or Haruki level, he still had a good deal of strength.
"Tell me...why did you do something like this?"
Isane demanded, but Bikou shrugged.
"Personal reasons."
"You keep saying that, but it doesn't make sense to me! So tell me!"
Bikou laughed, swinging his staff for her, Isane revealed Ascalon, and deflected the staff. Sparks went between their weapons, Bikou jumped back as he gazed at the sight before him.
"My, is that sword holy by chance? I didn't know you could wield one of them!"
"I got it as a gift! You might not be a Dragon, but I'll stop you with this blade!"
Isane shot off for Bikou. Adding demonic power to the jets on her back, she increased her speed, along with using the Knight's speed, even Bikou had to admit that she was rather fast now that she had gained Balance Breaker.
Closing in the distance, Bikou saw her swing the blade a number of times for her, but he intercepted the attacks again and again, sparks going off near his face, but it didn't bother Bikou who placed his hand out, and gathered Touki.
The aura smashed into the armour, and caused it to crack, transmitting through her body and she winced at the feeling, only for Bikou to slam the end of his staff into the crack, causing the armlour to shatter around her chest, and the force of the impact sent her flying backwards, skidding across the ground and then dug into the ground.
"Nyahahaha! I thought you'd have gained power, but clearly..."
As Bikou mocked, a sudden surge of power came from Isane.
[Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost!]
Boosting five times, adding it to the power she had, gathered a good deal of demonic power, the waves of it was something that was going into the Ultimate Class category of power, showcasing the training she had, and what she could truly did have inside.
"Have this! Dragon Shot!"
Concentrating it into a sphere, she shot it forward. Without having to worry about collateral damage due to the area being protected by the leaders, her energy formed like a beam, shooting all of the power for Bikou who widened his eyes.
"Eh...that's something different."
Bikou channelled his Touki into his staff, and swung it for the attack coming in. But the power that Isane released caught Bikou by surprise, and his staff gained a crack within it as it pushed against him, so Bikou poured more power into the attack.
While doing that, Isane got above Bikou, and charged another shot of power.
[Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost!]
"Dragon Shot!"
"Another one?!"
Bikou panicked, feeling the aura shooting down, he didn't have time to dodge it either as he was stuck with the first attack. He didn't expect it, but Isane had trapped him with a duel layered kind of attack.
"Amazing, it seems Ise is able to adapt and react quickly. I think she adds her own kind of flare to fighting with how she's shooting and powering her own attacks. Ise...it seems that I'll have to train even harder if I want to keep up with the growing powers of my peerage."
Rias mentally mused as Bikou was bombarded by the aura of the overhead Dragon Shot, which caused the first one to break through and slam him from that direction as well.
Isane mentally cheered at the sight that she had managed to hit him.
[However, every time you use it, your stamina or demonic power will be consumed. The doubling ability will proportionally take away stamina to how high it is. That's my original Balancer Breaker ability. Although this is a temporary Balance Breaker state, wouldn't you just be committing an act of folly by exhausting the power that maintains your armour with just one use? Even the bracelet you got from Azazel has its limits. Every time you use it, the time for using Balance Breaker will decrease.]
Ddraig warned her, she understood that she couldn't use her powers indefinitely and would have to be smart about how the fight was going to go ahead.
But to her astonishment, he didn't receive major injuries, and had been able to keep himself from being harmed fully.
"Thanks to my Touki, my body was wrapped in a layer of it, increasing my defence. You're strong Dragon-chan, maybe this fight wont be so bad after all! Can you show me more of your power please?! That's why I wanted to come here in the first place!"
Releasing more of his aura, Bikou spun his staff around, and shot off several waves of Touki for Isane who became on the defensive, and began to dodge. Remembering the attacks that Haruki gave, she knew these were slower compared to that.
Seeing her dodge, did astound Bikou a good deal, who pushed more effort into it.
"I thought you were the rumoured weakest in history when it came to the Sekiryuutei's, but you're keeping up with me. How are you doing that? I couldn't see some other Sekiryuutei's doing that, considering what I've heard of them and how they also died. So what gives huh?"
"Maybe in the beginning I was the weakest! But I train hard, I train all of the time! So, I've increased my power! So don't even think you can fight me and get away so easily! You're going to answer why you betrayed us all!"
Bikou laughed, but on the inside was slightly worried as his attacks weren't getting through at all. To the point that she was even using Ascalon to fight, and cut through his attacks, and protected herself from having her armour pierced as a result.
Bikou wasn't pleased, so he discarded his attacks, and charged the power to his body, before releasing it in a single burst, going right for Isane at super high speeds, even Isane couldn't predict that he'd be capable of that, and resulted in receiving damage to the right hand side of her body when she tried to doge out of the way.
Wincing at the feeling, she managed to pull away, seeing that her arm was exposed, and blood was beginning to come out of her.
"Ise!"
Rias cried out, and turned her power to Bikou, who looked on.
"Are you going to fight me as well? Because it would be pointless, I'll take you both down."
Gritting her teeth, Rias was prepared to fight, she wouldn't go down now.
Isane however, she also wasn't going to back down and had the armour repair itself with her power.
"I'm not finished yet you damn monkey! Come and get me!"
Bikou turned his eyes back to Isane, and saw how she was determined, so he was as well to see what she was truly capable of.
Back with Haruki, he watched as the beasts aura become stronger and stronger, to the point that Haruki was sure it was being fed power by Walburga, but he didn't mind, and charged forward, using the Holy Lightning to increase his speed more and more.
"My, look at the levels of power you're using, it's...delicious."
Walburga said with a lick of her lips, Haruki glanced at her, before shaking his head.
Getting to the beast, the claws of the beast came at him, so he dodged it, and up close, his hands went up, forming several spikes of ice from his hands, shooting them so fast that even the beast was shocked.
But the flames of holy came out, wrapping around his body, trying to stop the attacks.
In the moments the spires were going to rip through the body of the creature, the flames were suddenly frozen and turned into icy dust thanks to the ice doll, allowing the ice spires to punch through the body of the creature again and again, creating massive holes in the creature.
"Don't you know, it can regenerate from all of your attacks?"
Haruki saw it heal itself, and came down with a clawed strike.
Haruki blocked with his arm, stopping the attack but the claws began cutting through his armour. Even with the power of freezing, the claws were cutting into him, something that he hadn't seen in a good while.
Pushing more of his aura through his body, he pushed the beast away with a strong wave of said aura, then he came flying up, swinging his fist for the fist coming at him from the beast, connecting to one another in a small clash against one another.
Then it came at Haruki again and again, so Haruki did the same thing. Turning his hands into spikes with the armour shifting, thanks to the ice aspect, also froze and tore through the opponents body as the attacks came at one another.
"This beast is something strong, my attacks are connecting but its body is regenerating. And the power it has, seems to be getting stronger. However, it doesn't seem to be a consistent thing...perhaps there's something more than meets the eye. Is Walburga using her power to increase it's power? Or is it something else? And my Holy Lightning...could it be..."
Haruki mused in his mind, as he turned to his ice doll.
Without communicating verbally, his eyes shifted back to the creature before him and pulled away as he placed his hands out.
As he did, the ice doll did the same thing, and caused ice to form all around the creatures body. The ice became thick and sturdy, as the legs of the creature were beginning to be bound.
"Hey, release the flames already!"
Haruki took note of Walburga saying that, it seemed she was there to direct it even more than he presumed.
The beast released holy flames out of its mouth, and sent it down towards the ice.
But Haruki shot close, and wrapped his hand around the beasts mouth, before looking into its eyes.
"Freeze."
Murmuring that, Haruki released an icy cold mist from his body that shot through the beasts mouth, freezing the flames before they could even leave its mouth, and then the ice ran through the system of the beast, freezing it from deeply inside.
Accompanied by the ice on the outside, the body of the creature had froze on two fronts.
As it did, Haruki noticed more and more that something was amiss.
It was something difficult to notice, but with the amount of Holy Lightning around his body decreasing, he believed he understood what was going on now.
Pulling back, Haruki charged up his demonic power, as he knew that even with it frozen, the body could still be able to stop the damage as much as possible against his Holy Lightning, so going with demonic power was the best option, he thought so anyway.
As the demonic power soared through the air, and shot for the beast.
"Not a bad demonic power, I'm surprised you can wield it that good."
"I didn't just train in my ice and Holy Lightning, I'm still a Devil you know?"
Walburga laughed as the creatures body began to break out of the ice.
But the demonic power washed over it, and began destroying its form more and more.
Walburga looked worried for a few moments…
But then she smirked as over fifteen magicians appeared all around them and caused their magic to go to the beast.
"Did you think why I had my magicians work with the Old Satan Faction? I knew that I could need assistance. Lets face it, you're finished this time."
"No, you are."
Haruki and the ice doll worked together, shooting off their attacks together, and destroyed all of the magicians within a flash, but they had managed to break the beasts upper body out of the ice, allowing it to shoot up high into the air by releasing aura.
Then the lower body of the beast grew back, as Walburga laughed at the sight.
"I prepared it with the ability to face you. I took into account all of your abilities. Your ice, your lightning. There is nothing you can do to stop this beast! I even made a deal to acquire it and now it is going to be able to kill you! Lets face it, Longinus' combined are strong!"
"Longinus'...so, you got it from a Longinus wielder."
"Modified it a good deal, but yes, that's right. The kid I got it off wasn't able to make it stronger than Middle Class, so I raised its power, and gave it all I had. Even managed to mix in my Holy Flames for a kick huh! Thanks to that, this beast has transcended what it was, and is now going to end you!"
Haruki, as Walburga spoke, created a large ice sword, and with a swing, he cut through the beasts neck. He intended to slice off the head, but the beast managed to move out of the way.
The blade of the ice also released a strong mist that froze everything below the beasts body and above it, so even the head began to freeze as it flew through the air.
As it did, the ice doll swung her arms forward, and caused spires to erupt from the ground, trying to pierce it through different points in its head, to make it stop regenerating all together.
"Wow, I have to admit that even with the power of my darling creature going through you, the fact that you can think this much, and use your powers to try and take it down. Even a fist from this beast is enough to cause the human body to feel intense pain, I made sure of it. Yet you...you're fighting through it, are you a monster?"
Walburga asked, bewildered and enjoying it at the same time since she was also a sadist.
Haruki looked at her, and laughed.
"If you call this true pain, then you've never experienced it before, I've been in a lot more pain than this, and now your beast is dead."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that."
Haruki didn't believe her, as its body was near frozen.
Freezing from the neck (or what was left of it anyway) up, and spires going to be shooting through its being, Haruki thought that this would be the time that it had died.
However, he then saw from up above, Baraqiel was flying high and gathered Holy Lightning to his hands.
Going through all of the information that he had heard, witnessed and fired out, he knew that was a bad idea, especially with the incredible power that Baraqiel was wielding, the amount of Holy Lightning that he had gathered.
"Wait, don't!"
Haruki yelled, but Baraqiel shot off his power down, wrapping around the beasts body, as Haruki saw from a distance, the beasts muscles, and body was growing more and more, the aura around its body had increased.
As it came out of the lightning, Haruki saw the power increase of the beasts.
Then it made a move.
Haruki received a punch to the face, as aura was released up close and personal, blasting Haruki's body in several places. Because of the speed, even Haruki was surprised, while Baraqiel's eyes widened, seeing his son coughing out blood.
"Without you, my creature would have died for sure but now Haruki has been damaged, so thank you for assisting me old man!"
Walburga laughed as Haruki smashed into the ground, with blood dripping out of his wounds.
Baraqiel looked devastated.
He didn't know the full details, but he came to help his son, and inadvertently, he ended up harming more than helping.
Meanwhile, as the battles went down, Vali met up with the others as they were finishing off the magicians and Devils. She came in and zipped through them as fast as she could, destroying them out of existence.
"Wow, Vali-chan's here to come and fight as well~"
Kuroka grinned, Koneko nodded.
"...The Queen's come to help us out, that would be best."
Ravel placed a hand to her forehead, as Vali destroyed all of the opponents within moments.
"That's a relief. But while we've been here, Kuroka-sama said that she has felt Haruki-sama clashing and Isane-senpai also doing the same thing. I think it would be wise if we split up and go into different teams to go and support them."
"Hm, well depends who he's fighting. Still Cattleya?"
Kuroka smirked at the intentional name mistake.
But she then shook her head.
"No, that's not it nyaa. It is something else, not sure what it is right now though."
"Well, if it is Haruki, he'll be fine. The Sekiryuutei could be in trouble...and I can't have my rival dying before I get to have our fight."
Ravel placed a hand to her chin, seeing Akeno was in worry for what was going on, the same for Asia. Even Koneko was worrying along with Sona despite neither saying anything about it.
"Asia-sama, you, Akeno-sama, Koneko-san and I shall go and meet up with Haruki-sama. The rest, I think it would be best to support Isane-senpai in case something was going to happen."
They didn't have a reason to argue, and inclined their necks.
They then took off, hoping that their friends and loved ones were okay.
As that was going on, Isane charged for Bikou once more who was laughing and dodging her attacks., coming in with Ascalon again and again, he was able to maneuverer all around the battlefield, even when she tried to flank him, it was clear that Bikou had great battle experience and was able to make her moves invalidated despite the effort that she was putting into them.
"This kind of fight is going to end now!"
"With you beaten!"
Isane yelled, and allowed her aura to shine, releasing it from her hands in the form of small spheres. They weren't exactly Dragon Shots, but the attacks were enough to make Bikou have to dodge out of the way of them again and again all the while Isane was building up her power via the Boosts but wasn't using them.
"If the Factions make peace, then what is there for me?"
"What do you mean?"
Isane demanded, as Bikou flipped over her, and swung from the right, clashing with her body and caused the armour to break in the place he hit, and went to her body, Isane winced at the feeling of pain going through her.
"It's alright for those that have places to belong, but for someone like me that wishes to explore and have fun. I love fighting, and I was given a very attractive offer to have many strong battles. Doing that and staying with Azazel who doesn't like fighting, it would conflict with my own interests, you know?"
"So you did it because you wanted to fight!?"
Isane snapped, pulling away and fixing her armour.
As she did, she shot the demonic power out of her jets, and got before him, gathering demonic power for a Dragon Shot, but Bikou stopped that as he quickly danced around her, and broke off the jets to her Scale Mail, before he slammed his staff into her back.
However, before it could reach her, Rias erected a barrier, blocking Bikou's attack.
"Sorry Bikou, but I'm also going to protect my peerage member."
Bikou was surprised.
More so that she had the power to even do something like that.
Because of the barrier holding him back, it was long enough for Isane to move around and punch the man's face, enough for her to draw blood out of him, then she released her demonic power up close and personal, blasting him away a good bit.
This time, he did get some injuries, though Isane knew she had suffered more.
"I did it because I was promised many battles, and the chance to make sure my ancestor wouldn't bother me. Living as I want, is the kind of life that I believe would be best. Maybe you think that reason isn't good enough, but it's the reasons that I decided."
"People are getting hurt! You can't do as you like when it comes to things like this! People will suffer! Are you really okay with that?!"
At Isane's yell, Bikou paused for a few moments.
He hadn't thought about others before, he always just thought about himself.
When he was distracted, Isane got in close, and swung for his body. But he dodged it, and slammed his staff into her face, breaking the face guard, but this time Isane also managed to slide her hand towards his body, and shot off point blank range of demonic power, smashing deeply into his body and caused them both to receive injuries.
Pulling away, Bikou looked at his wounds, then towards Isane.
"It wasn't an intention of mine to have people get involved when they didn't want to."
"What did you think would happen?!"
"It was all supposed to be about stopping the Factions Meeting, that's all. I didn't really think about it."
Rias looked on, as she moved closer.
"If that was the case, why did you bother even coming to us in the first place? Impersonating me, having your own kind of fun, that's the kind of person you are. For better or worse, that's how it is after all."
"Maybe that's right, but I get bored easily~"
Bikou spoke with a laugh, as he ran his hands through his hair.
Pulling out some of his hair, he created four clones, that all shot for Isane.
Isane saw one coming from the left, so she swung out her sword, and cut through it, another one however got in behind her, and kicked several times, banging hard against her armour and cracked it several times, before she turned, and stabbed the clone through the chest.
The other two clones got beside Isane on both sides, and restrained her arms with his own strength.
"W-What?! Get off me!"
Isane pushed her strength, and tried to move her arms.
The clones were tough, and she couldn't get out of it so easily either.
Spinning his staff, Bikou poured his power into it, and charged for her.
"Bikou stop this!"
Rias shot off waves of her Power of Destruction, but Bikou dispelled them with his staff.
"Sorry, no can do red haired lady~"
"You said that you wished to fight, but Vali does want the same thing, and she's content on a peerage with Haruki and the others, why couldn't you be the same as that? Peace is something that is good! It doesn't mean you'd have to give up fighting! Haruki also loves to fight, but he wishes for peace too!"
Bikou blinked.
"Eh? But it does, doesn't it?"
"No, it just means that unnecessary fights don't happen, didn't you realize it?"
"But what fights are necessary and what ones aren't?"
As Bikou spoke up, Isane pushed more strength through her, and boosted her power, gradually moving the clones arms so she wouldn't be bound by him for much longer.
"Unnecessary ones are ones where innocent people die!"
Bikou lowered his brows.
"I don't want to fight people that can't fight back, it would be rather boring. I like testing my abilities you know? It isn't my most favourite thing, but it is something that I deeply care for. What I want most is to simply have fun, the offer that I got allowed me to have fun."
Bikou responded, as Isane gritted her teeth, and practically swung her arms forward, as the clones released their grips on her, pushing them before her fast and hard, where she gathered demonic power, and washed it over the enemies before her, taking down the clones.
"Fun doesn't come at the expense of hurting others!"
Isane claimed, causing Bikou's will to shake ever so slightly.
Isane continued on as she shot for Bikou and engaged him in hand to hand combat, with the pair clashing over and over again.
"Think about it, the fun that you think you're having today, what about Gasper!? What would you have done with Gasper if you got your hands on him?!"
"I...I don't think about that."
"Well think now! Because one way or another, I'm not letting you leave here!"
Isane slashed at him, cutting deep into his cheek, while he himself returned the strike to her legs.
It was a slug fest that Rias watched on, knowing she didn't have the power to get involved beyond providing support to Isane which she did in the form of barriers, and blasting shots at Bikou who was forced to block both kind of attacks from the pair.
Slowly but surely, Bikou was being pushed back, but so was Isane who could see the time limit that she has was going down all the more.
As Bikou dodged, he waited and waited until he saw his chance and shot his staff for her.
"This is it! Your fight will end with this!"
Channelling his Touki into his staff, increasing it to the point that it would cause a good deal of damage, Isane saw him coming in, and turned her sword towards him.
"Ddraig! Now!"
[Transfer!]
Giving Ascalon the power, she allowed it to burst out in a crescent shaped attack that sliced down the middle of the staff.
Starting at the crack that she had given it beforehand, the crack thanks to the transferred power grew even more, and ran across all of the staff, giving Isane the chance to charge her power up to her fist.
"My staff! What are you doing?!"
"I'm taking you down right here and now!"
"As if pervy Dragon-chan! I'll not surrender!"
Bikou charged his Touki into his fist, and slugged Isane's jaw.
Shattering the armour around her face, she bled from her mouth, while she simply slammed her forehead against his own, bringing pain to him.
Boosting several times, she focused the power in her right fist, and came at Bikou heavily.
"This is it! I'm putting it all into this attack!"
"Get lost!"
Bikou denied it, and channelled his power through his staff to reinforce it.
But Isane did the same, boosting to the maximum that she could do. She knew she didn't have long left in the Balance Breaker with the amount of boosts she did, so she wasn't going to back down now, and use her remaining power on him.
"I'll beat you down! I wont let you get away with this!"
Isane's fist went forward, smashing into the staff. Releasing all of the power she had, it broke through his staff, immensely shocking Bikou, and then the fist continued, slamming hard into the upper body of Bikou who suffered a good amount of wounds thanks to the attack.
"Gwaaaaaaaah!"
Bikou tried hard to defend, but Isane's power thanks to her training and her Scale Mail transformation, it was enough to send him flying deep into the ground, uprooting it and caused it to scatter like cherry blossoms.
Isane's power left her almost immediately, and her form was dropped.
The armour shattered, and she fell to the ground where Rias got close, and caught her.
"Wow...Ise, you really have improved."
"Yeah...but Buchou...about Bikou, what do we do? I...I don't think he is as evil as...I think his actions showed...you know? He wanted to...have fun...while he went about it completely wrong..."
"I don't know right now Ise, but I do know that Bikou is a complex guy...or maybe he's rather simple in his desires. But as you said, he went about them the wrong way, but I don't think he's truly evil, maybe he just hasn't found the place he belongs, still he caused this. Hmmm...this is going to be difficult."
Rias stared at Bikou as she thought about what she was going to do next.
Because of the fact that Bikou while doing some bad acts, neither got the feeling he was actually an evil person. More like going with the flow, and doing what he thought would be best for himself, Rias and Isane had to think about what was going on.
Back with Haruki, he pulled himself out of the ground, his wounds freezing over so he didn't bleed anymore and they didn't progress further, as Baraqiel flew closer to him. Seeing that he had been wounded a few tines, Baraqiel looked on.
"Haruki, are you alright?"
Haruki glanced at his face, before looking back at the beast.
"Fine."
"Why did my attack hardly damage it at all?"
Haruki exhaled slowly, as the beast readied itself once more.
"Because this beast has a secret, and I think I know what it is as well."
Confusion came over the older man.
"What is it?"
"You'll see, right Walburga? I'm about to tear your little pet apart."
Walburga blinked, she heard the last part of the conversation and thought it was rather funny to her ears.
"You think that you can beat my creation? I've made it to be your perfect counter!"
"Your creations aren't perfect Walburga. They have weaknesses, and I've found yours."
Walburga didn't like the sound of that.
In fact, she was getting more angry.
"Hehehe, now that it is fully healed, better than ever, you're going to die. And then I'm going to kill your peerage one by one. I'll take them apart, and put them back together. Maybe the Hakuryuukou would be interested in having Twilight Healing in her being? Healing and that crazy power would be good to have as a servant."
Haruki glared for Walburga as the beast came charging for him, with the ice doll creating many sharp blades of ice in the air, and shot them for the beast so she'd try and stop the attack before it did reach Haruki's form.
She continued as the beast got in close.
"Yes, then there's the Senjutsu girls, the Phenex girl as well as the Holy Sword Durandal...wow, you have quite the group. It is wonderful, I want to experiment on them and make them apart of my Longinus too. I can take their souls, add it to my power, and I'll be even stronger!"
Haruki watched the beast move around the swords of ice, and even when cutting into it, the beasts aura increased, and blew apart the ice, convincing Haruki more of what he thought to be true and if that was the case, then he truly was going to enjoy destroying the monster, and would have to put his mind to good use.
Then the beast got in close, with Walburga leaning forward excitedly.
"Now this is it! You're going to die! One ice Longinus is going to be coming to me!"
The wildness in Walburga's eyes matched the attempted fear inducing look on her face.
Haruki simply looked on, while Baraqiel tightened his hand.
"Haruki look out!"
Baraqiel yelled, and tried to move, but the ice doll stopped him.
Becoming more perplexed, he tried to get by the ice doll, but she wouldn't let him by.
"Why are you stopping me?"
The ice dolls icy stare caused Baraqiel to be paused.
"My King, is no fool. Watch, Otou-san of my King. Never underestimate my King. He says he knows what's happening, then he knows. He is neither cocky nor overconfident, he is someone that is confident in his abilities, yet knows his limits, and knows his enemies, searches for their weakpoints, and thinks of counters against them if they're stronger than he is. Do not believe he cannot do it, he can and will."
The ice doll spoke to Baraqiel's amazement, and watched Haruki.
Though he didn't know what was going on, he chose to believe in the young man this time, it was his son and he did believe he was very capable.
As the beast swung its clawed fist for him, Haruki looked at it, and simply raised his hand, catching the fist as it came in close. Focusing in on his strength, he stopped the fist, without using Holy Lightning to boost his speed, Walburga's eyebrows narrowed at the sight.
"What the hell? You stopped it with a single hand? Why didn't you use your Holy Lightning!?"
"Because I don't need it."
Walburga showed a dark scowl on her face.
"The nerve you have...I wont let you live for much longer!"
"If it had the power to kill me, I'd already be dead."
"You will be!"
Walburga argued.
But Haruki shook his head.
"No, I wont. Because I've discovered your trick. Rather than simply nullify or weaken my lightning strikes, it's actually absorbing the power of Holy Lightning and adding it to its own power, isn't that right?"
Baraqiel looked on, perplexed.
"Wait...that's how...that's how it got the burst of power..."
Baraqiel was putting the pieces into place now, and it made sense to him.
"More than that, the power of its regeneration is dependent on the power that you're sending it, and maintaining it from this distance is giving it a delay. While it had the Holy Lightning in its system, it could burn through that, but without it, its regeneration is slowed, and therefore easily killable. I commend you, you must have done countless hours of research and gathered samples to have that beast absorb my Holy Lightning, but this is finished."
Walburga scowled deeply.
"You...You figured that out, it doesn't save you."
"Your beast needs saving from me."
Walburga looked on as Haruki pushed the beast back, and then punched deep into the body of the creature, unleashing a devastating wave of demonic powers, more than enough to cause the body to be broken through and obliterated out of existence, and at the same time, from his armoured fist, ice spikes shot out, and ripped through the limbs of the creature, dropping it down to the ground as it let out a cry of pain.
Though the beast pulled back, and began healing, albeit slower than before.
"Discovering the fact that your beast feeds off my Holy Lightning, I can see that its power is decreasing. It gains a boost from absorbing my power, but the power eventually goes away and it needs more. The shot from Baraqiel gave it incredible speed and power, but I was able to intercept it as it was only there for a short period of time. And as I said, since you're sending your power here via that circle your hologram self is standing in, its taking time, time your beast doesn't simply have."
Walburga began to shake.
Hearing this...he had discovered the beasts weakness, more than that he had managed to even break the beasts body and stance, caused it injuries that weren't healing faster than she had thought, the ice even was more powerful than she imagined, her holy flames weren't working against them like she thought they would.
Even without her entire Incinerate Anthem being inside of the beast, the fact that he still was able to combat and stop them was something that astonished her, she knew now that she'd have to think even more when she was going to face him again.
"The flames were for my ice, and I figured out you absorb my lightning, I guess you didn't have a choice to take all of my power, you had to choose between my Holy Lightning and my ice, and you chose Holy Lightning. My ice might also have to fight your flames, but my ice will always freeze your flames as in your hands, they've lost what made them special in the first place."
As Haruki said it, he shot off his demonic power more and more, shooting at it with devastating might, blasting more and more through the body of the creature, but the beast shot off aura to counter it, allowing their attacks to crash against each other's in a violent display.
Baraqiel was amazed to see what had happened.
The fact that his son figured that out in the heat of battle, and had already prepared to counter the attacks and finish it off when he thought it was quite powerful, he knew that he'd not think of all that in the heat of battle as quickly as Haruki did.
Baraqiel was proud that he was so able to adjust in fights, and how he was able to figure out the weaknesses of his opponent.
"Haruki...he has grown so much, figuring out something that I didn't even think about, you are a strong and smart warrior..."
Feeling happy at his sons achievements, Baraqiel watched as Haruki flew at intense speeds, getting between the guard of the beast, coated his hands in immense demonic power, his fists flew so fast even Baraqiel was stunned for a moment, and the next, several holes appeared in the enemy of the beasts body, blowing it apart several times.
Though it tried to regenerate, the ice doll this time caused the body of the beast to freeze, so much that it killed the regeneration a good deal, and couldn't heal all the way. Even the flames of holy weren't able to combat the ice of the doll.
Walburga gritted her teeth.
Her eyes displayed hostility, while Haruki looked on, a smile on his lips.
"Walburga, you made a mistake. Thinking that I can only use my Holy Lightning and ice. I also am a Devil, and control demonic power."
Walburga watched on as Haruki flew around the beast. Increasing his speed with the Knight's power, not adding Holy Lightning for the beast to feed off of, he dodged several claw attacks from the creature, and slammed his fists into the beasts forearms, and legs, blowing huge chunks, as the ice doll froze them, so it couldn't regenerate.
"No, blow him away with fire! Burn him!"
The beast opened its mouth to fire off the holy flames, when the ice doll appeared before it, grabbing the mouth, and like Haruki did before, ran ice down the beasts throat. This time however, the ice doll concentrated all of the freezing power to the point that the beasts body was freezing from the inside out.
"Now my King, finish it off in a single burst."
"Fufu, watch Walburga, as this creature you worked so hard on dies before your eyes."
Walburga watched as he formed demonic power before him.
Because of his Queen piece, he added the power of the Bishop to the power, and allowed it to grow more and more. The sphere grew before him, and came to the size of a two story house, where he condensed it to fit the form of the creature.
He wouldn't allow it a chance to regenerate this time, he wouldn't give it the opportunity to escape either.
His power went out in a strong wave, where the beast began trying to move as Walburga yelled "Move it damn it! Don't die!" and it tried to escape, but the ice doll wouldn't have any of it, pouring all of the ice to freeze it on the inside and out.
"Thank you my ice Queen, now it is going to disappear."
Haruki smiled as his sphere reached the creature, slamming into the body of said creature.
It struggled desperately, but the combination of the demonic power from Haruki and the ice from the Longinus, it was more than enough for the beast, it couldn't even use the holy flames to try and stop the attacks either.
Walburga watched as her creation was obliterated before her eyes, until not even a spec of dust was left.
Baraqiel showed immense pride with how Haruki was able to deal with the enemy before him.
His eyes then went to Walburga who was shaking with anger.
"Walburga, next time I'd like to meet you face to face, it would be the best reunion. Oh, sorry for killing your precious little monster, but I had to take it out in the end."
"You wont get away with this. Next time, I'll make sure that you're finished, understood?!" Haruki gave bemused eyes, igniting rage within Walburga. "Tch, I'm going to be haunting you-"
"Go haunt someone else."
Haruki waved his hand, activated some magic, and caused the hologram to disappear.
Once she was gone, Haruki's eyes went towards Baraqiel.
"Why did you come here?"
Baraqiel honestly began thinking about it himself.
What he did come for, what he tired to accomplish as well.
"I...I was concerned about you. But I made a mess of it, and ended up getting you unnecessarily hurt. The others believed you'd be able to handle it, but I was...I wanted to help you."
"Perhaps it's because they knew me. They knew I'd be able to protect myself. That, I'd survive."
Baraqiel lowered his eyebrows, his eyes glued to the floor.
"...Yes, because of me, you had to learn how to survive. That...That was my error."
"It was more than an error. When you came here, did you think if you saved me, this big gesture would work and I'd instantly forgive you?"
Baraqiel was shocked he said that...as that's what Baraqiel was kind of hoping for.
"In the back of my head, I knew it probably wouldn't. I thought that perhaps it would be at least the beginning of..."
He paused, and couldn't say anything else.
Haruki however spoke up.
"The beginning of what? What is it that you want Baraqiel?"
Baraqiel looked Haruki directly in the eyes.
Showing nothing but true emotions, he spoke up.
"I want to know my children again."
"...It's been a long time, we've changed. A lot. Onee-sama and I..."
"Yes I'm aware, and I want to know more about your lives, what you've been doing until now. I want to know everything that I've missed."
"You missed it of your own accord. We've been here, waiting for you. But you never came. And right now...I don't know what to think about you. I'm so angry at you...and at myself."
"Yourself, but why?"
Baraqiel didn't understand it at all.
So Haruki cleared it up.
"Kaa-chan...she died, when I was there. I...I hate that I couldn't do anything to save her back then. I tried so hard...but we lost her that night...it was the beginning of a horrible nightmare for me."
Speaking from his heart, Haruki's words caused Baraqiel to understand his sons mindset more and more.
Living through such an experience, he knew it definitely would be very hard.
"You were a child, it was my responsibility to protect you all, that kind of burden...shouldn't ever have been on your shoulders. I am sorry you've felt like that for so long...I'm not very good at expressing myself, and my emotions. As you can tell right now...I'm terrible at speaking my mind."
"...I used to be the same, I guess I got it from you."
Haruki spoke with a somber tone, Baraqiel could understand that very well.
"No...you're better than I am at it. I couldn't do half of the wonderful things you've done for others. It's easier fighting my opponent ahead of me, than speaking about my feelings...it's hard, this feels harder than any fight I've been in."
"No kidding...I'd rather be fighting Great Red or Ophis than do this, at least there, I can concentrate on fighting."
"I can understand that well...Haruki. That's why...I'll try harder, to earn yours and Akeno's forgiveness. I know...it wont be easy, I know that...it might take a long time...but I'll try. And even after that, you still don't want anything to do with me...I'll understand. There's things I should have done differently..."
Haruki turned away and thought about what he said.
All of the words he thought he wished to hear from Baraqiel all these years...he wasn't sure what to do with them.
Half of him wished to believe what he was saying, but he remembered all of the times that Baraqiel wasn't there, when he didn't come.
His head and his heart were in conflict, and he wasn't sure what was the best way to go.
As he did, the ice doll placed a hand on his shoulder, and peered into his eyes.
He smiled towards her, as he turned back towards Baraqiel.
"Form a bond with Onee-sama first. Onee-sama is emotionally hurt by you. I am as well...but, I can still go on, and Onee-sama...I know why she blames you, it's because she needs to blame you, otherwise she wouldn't be sure what to do. She tries to hide it...but, I know Onee-sama very well. I want to help her, so she can let go of that and...I don't know if you can build a relationship with her...but, I'd at least like her to have the chance to do it. But if you push her to do anything she isn't comfortable with or end up hurting her, I will freeze you solid and shatter you instantly."
Baraqiel lightly laughed, though did hold nervousness within as well at being frozen.
Not only by Serafall, but his son as well.
"Yes...I understand."
"Then...I need to finish up here, go and...make sure Azazel and the others are fine."
"...I understand." Baraqiel began to turn, when he stopped, and looked Haruki in the eyes. "You did very well today...no, you managed to do something amazing for the Factions Meeting, planning for it, protecting us all and coming up with plans to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I'm proud of you."
Haruki turned his eyes away and then fully turned his body away.
Baraqiel bowed his head and walked off.
As he did, Haruki's eyes danced with a single tear, a tear that he refused to shed.
Those words "I'm proud of you." sent so many emotions through Haruki, processing them all was difficult.
The ice doll placed her hand on his face, and gently stroked it in a kind way.
"Thank you, Demise-chan."
"It's difficult, isn't it, my King?"
"So many emotions...too hard right now."
"Then, allow him to show his worth, if he doesn't then ties can be cut fully, but if he does...then you can being moving forward again."
"I guess we'll have to wait and see what Baraqiel does, and see how I feel...and how Onee-sama feels."
Haruki looked on, feeling the presence of some coming towards him.

So this chapter dealt with some thing's like with Isane and Rias taking on Bikou, and managing to overcome him together. Haruki also fought Walburga's creation she got off a certain someone within the Hero's Faction, powering it up and trying to take down Haruki's power, though in the end he figured it out and took it out of the fight. Baraqiel tried to help, though it didn't go to his plans. But, he had an emotional moment with his son in the end, with some progress being made.
