Hey guys! Well, I pretty much finished Omega Ruby. The Delta Episode was fantastic, and Mega Rayquaza looks awesome. And thanks to a Numel with Pokerus I received via Wonder Trade, my team in X version has it now, too. Anyone willing to trade for some of the event Pokemon? PM me.
Anyways, I promised you guys I would give you a PSA answering questions about the story, and here it is! Thank you guys so much for understanding my need for a break. I promise that not all my time hasn't been spent playing Pokemon (although a fair amount of it was...).
I don't own RWBY or Sonic the Hedgehog. Enjoy!
Trocadero- Red Vs. Blue Intro
The scene transitions to the inside of the Beacon cafeteria. Outside, the weather is snowy, and people are seen getting ready for the new year. More importantly, Sonic and Ruby are seen sitting at a table with a laptop between them.
Sonic, sensing the presence of readers from behind the fourth wall, looked up. "Hello there. I'm Sonic the Hedgehog from the popular game series, Sonic the Hedgehog," he said, winking.
Ruby looked up as well. "And I'm Ruby Rose from the popular web series, RWBY!"
"Instead of an exciting installment of the story combining these two series, Rose Red, Hedgehog Blue, our author has given us the go-ahead to answer a few questions that you guys might have about the story."
"Unfortunately," said Ruby, glaring at the laptop, "no one has any questions about the story."
"What?!"
"Actually, just one. Nitro321 asked, 'How do you make your stories so awesome?'."
Sonic sighed. "Well, let's save that one for last. Is that really the only question people have about this story?"
Ruby checked the laptop again. "Well, that's the only question that was asked when the call came out. I think there are a few from earlier chapters that might be answered here."
"Like what?"
"Well, someone asked why Cubot still has a cowboy accent."
"Okay, that I can do. Readers, the reason why Cubot still sounds like an extra for a bad spaghetti western is the fact that the author lives in Texas, and while it's true that not all Texans have that accent, some people might be amused by it. Plus, it was an appropriate excuse to use that Blazing Saddles reference in chapter 31."
"Shame that as of this moment, no one's gotten it yet."
Sonic grimaced. "No kidding."
"Quick question, not related to this story. Why is it called a 'spaghetti western'?" asked Ruby.
"It's because most of the old Wild West movies and shows were filmed in Italy instead of America. Ergo, spaghetti western."
Ruby considered this. "Huh, that actually makes sense."
Sonic looked up past reviews on the laptop. "Anyways, here's a question from thermalsnipern7: 'What? No one for Ruby?'"
The scythe-wielding redhead blushed furiously. "Oh- ah- um, sorry guys, but unless Monty Oum adds in a character in Volume 3 for that purpose, there probably won't be any romance for me in this story."
"What about all those White Rose shipping fans?" Sonic asked. "I mean, I know it's taking a big risk, but YOLO, right?"
"Thrawn92 feels that girl/girl romance may be a bit too… mature for this story. By all means, he's not against it, but male/female couples are easier to write about."
"So…." Sonic trailed off. "Does that mean that there will be no Bumblebee shipping either?"
Ruby nodded.
"Well, on the bright side, there will probably be Faunus shipping or Black Sun or whatever the heck it's called with Blake and Sun."
Ruby faced the fourth wall. "Also, to any readers who think that Sonic and I could be a couple,-"
"WHAT?!"
"-let's make things clear. Sonic and I are just good friends. I certainly don't have any romantic interests in him," Ruby said, then paused. "No offense, Sonic."
Sonic shrugged. "Eh, none taken. Humans aren't exactly a great match for a fast hedgehog like myself, let alone anyone else."
"You say that, and yet Amy-"
"Oh, don't start that again," interrupted Sonic irritably. Ruby just giggled before turning back to the laptop.
"Hey, I have something to ask."
The speedy duo turned to see Tails. "Hey bro, what's up?" asked Sonic.
"Oh, I heard you two were answering questions for the readers. Can I join in? I have some of my own."
"Go ahead, little buddy."
Tails sat down. "Okay, my question is about Aeromi. I know she's based off of the Artificial Intelligence program CTN 0452-9, A.K.A. Cortana, from the Halo series."
Sonic and Ruby nodded.
"If that's the case, does that mean she'll die in seven years due to rampancy?"
"Uh, what?" asked Ruby.
"Basically, I'm afraid that Aeromi might think herself to death in a few years," explained Tails.
"I don't think you'll have to worry about that, Tails."
Sonic, Ruby, and Tails jumped a little at hearing the A.I.'s voice from the laptop. "Darn it, Aeromi, a little warning next time?" the hedgehog grumbled.
"To alleviate Tails' fears," Aeromi explained, oblivious to the small scare she caused, "the author has seen fit to give me the 'Metastability' stage of rampancy. In that stage, I can be considered fully human, and no matter how old I become or how much information I gather, I won't descend into madness like Cortana did in Halo 4."
"Never forget!" shouted Sonic.
Tails chuckled. "Indeed, never forget. Here's hoping she shows up again in a future Halo game."
"So guys, what do you think are the chances of the author adding in characters from Sonic Boom are?" asked Ruby.
"I'll be honest, it doesn't look too good. Maybe if there was an actual engaging story involved, but only about six different episodes have been aired, and now it's just reruns," Aeromi reasoned.
"Also, while Sticks is pretty funny, the logistics of transporting her to Remnant are pretty complicated. Same goes for Lyric," said Tails.
"Before you go on, I, too, have a question for our dear author."
The group looked up in apprehension and shock as Cinder Fall walked in, wearing her red dress.
"Hey, how come you're here?!" shouted Sonic, pointing at the woman while pulling out Cobalt Shard.
Cinder rolled her amber eyes. "Oh, relax, hedgehog. I promise I didn't come here to do evil works. Besides, why can't a bad girl like me ask something?"
"Well, I guess it's okay…" trailed Ruby.
"Splendid," Cinder cut her off. "Now, my question to Thrawn92 is this: Am I scheduled for a fight? I speak for Roman as well."
Thrawn92: I'm here, guys. Cinder, to answer your question, I really don't know when you can show off your skills. Same goes for Roman Torchwick. However, since you two are among my favorite villains, I'll see what I can do.
"Thank you. That's all I ask. I think I'd better leave the premises. I seem to be making the locals nervous." Cinder walked to the exit, waving a hand in farewell.
Sonic, Ruby, and Tails all breathed a sigh of relief. "Glad that's over with," said Tails.
"I think we'd better wrap this up before Eggman hears about this," Ruby suggested.
Sonic nodded in agreement. "All right. So, Nitro321, the reason why Thrawn92's story is so good… Quite honestly, it's just plain luck. He just happened to write about two subjects he liked and thought would go great together, and added some references to video games, movies, and books he enjoys."
"Yeah, our author sure did hit the jackpot in filling a FanFiction niche," observed Ruby. "Makes me wonder what will happen when he gets around to writing a novelization of Legend of Zelda: the Minish Cap."
"What, no sequel for us?" asked Sonic indignantly.
"I'm sure it'll happen eventually, Sonic," said Tails.
Ruby clapped her hands. "Well, guys, I think that about wraps it up."
Sonic nodded. "Right. Well, readers, thanks for sticking around, and we'll see you next time on Rose Red, Hedgehog Blue!"
