Chapter 1, Part 3- Explosion Series: The Third
"Wahahahahaha! My name is Megumin, the number one mage of Axel! Come, you shall all become my experience points today!"
"Y-yunyun?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!", Megumin screams and tries to jump off of Kazuma, but fails due to her lack of strength.
All that action results in, is Kazuma falling face down into her thighs. Kazuma has even lesser strength than Megumin and so remains there. Not that he minds, of course.
Yunyun cannot muster the energy to reply. She stares ahead, slack-jawed. She tilts her head in utter confusion.
"Megumin...boyfriend...Kazuma...pervert...boyfriend...alone...kiss- hic-", said Yunyun repeatedly, like a broken record. It seemed like the shock of seeing her one and only friend violate the lips of someone who she had considered scum. Reliable scum, but scum, nonetheless. "Wait a minute. What if Kazuma tricked her?! Had he really stooped to such depths?! Now was the time to win Megumin, her best friend, to her side, once and for all!"
"M-m-megumin! If K-kazuma san- no, if Kazuma is forcing you to d-do this, then tell me right now! I will fight him! He is weak after all!", Yunyun said with remarkable bravado in her voice while standing up, despite her fear of having her panties stolen.
"OI WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING WE- hk!", Kazuma shouted in anger before being karate chopped into silence by Megumin.
"You fool! He is my b-boyfriend now! We both agreed t-to this!", Megumin said, slightly red-faced due to Kazuma burying his face into her thighs, with a bit more...passion this time.
Yunyun however, didn't hear or see anything after hearing the word 'boyfriend'.
"Boyfriend. Hehe. So it was true. Boyfriend. They...love each other. Hehe. Megumin...found love. She'll leave me alone and I'll be alone and lonely and abandoned and forgotten and discarded and…", mumbled Yunyun, falling to her knees once again, with despair plastered all over her face.
It seemed like the Explosion had resulted in the destruction of more than just the landscape.

"...so it's like that! He isn't forcing me to do anything!", Megumin explained once again to a broken Yunyun. She was crestfallen. After all, her lifelong rival had just surpassed her in the field of love, despite having an underdeveloped body. Could you really blame her for such a drastic reaction?
Megumin had told her about their bet and how they did love each other, but didn't include the details about the bond that had been formed between the two when they cast an Explosion together, because she felt like it was something that was supposed to remain a secret, and was something that was...just for the two of them. Their secret experience.
Earlier, she wasn't sure if he too had experienced that overwhelming jointness, for lack of a better word. But those two kisses had told her everything she wanted to know, and more. They had transmitted his very deepest feelings, his thoughts, his desire for her and even his...lust. Now, there was no room left for doubt. She knew that the fact he loved her was one of the absolute truths of this universe.
The only problem was- how was she supposed to explain their sudden love for each other to anyone else without telling them about the Explosion bonding?
Just as she was about to try and come up with some sort of explanation for Megumin yet again, she was interrupted by Kazuma who told Yunyun something she'd never forget.
"I like Megumin in a way different from the way I like, say, Iris, or even you! I want to spend time with her, cuddling and feeling her skin, feeling her breath upon me, falling asleep with her between my arms…", Kazuma explained with fervour, before trailing off after realizing just what he'd said. He immediately turned red and turned his face away from the two.
Yunyun had an even more adverse reaction, and collapsed once again. Thankfully, Megumin had recovered enough to leap at her and catch her body. Who knows just how much brain damage she had sustained today- both, because of the numerous falls and other reasons.
Megumin sighed and looked at Kazuma, who still refused to look at her directly. "Oi, you handsome tsundere. Come help me carry this hopeless girl to the town."
Kazuma snapped his head towards her at once and started shouting,"OI, WHO DID YOU JUST CALL A- waitaminute handsome?!" He started off angry and ended the sentence with both joy and surprise.
Megumin chose to ignore and simply beckoned him to support Yunyun's left side, while she took the right.
"This girl's breasts add 50 kilos to her already over-developed body.", Megumin spat with a venomous look in her eyes. Kazuma just slung his arm around Yunyun's shoulders, ensuring that his arm overlapped with Megumin's.
Kazuma then asked, pretending as if he hadn't just practically declared her love for twice within the span of a few minutes," So...wanna uhhh...go for lunch?"
Megumin snorted at his shyness before replying,"Will you be my lunch?"
Kazuma choked on his breath and dropped to his knees, forgetting about the fainted bunny- erm, girl, who he was supposed to be helping carrying.
"H-hah?!", he screamed, drowning out the sound of Yunyun's head banging against the ground with a sickening thud.
"Y-YOU STUPID GIRL YOU CAN'T JUST ASK TO EAT ME FOR LUNCH AFTER A DAY OF DATING. I MAY BE LUSTFUL BUT NOT TO THIS EXTENT.", Kazuma screamed in terror, drowning out Megumin who simply puffed her cheeks up, pouted, and looked elsewhere.
At that moment, the distinct ting of a bell was heard.
The newly-wed- Megumin and Kazuma looked towards the direction of the sound and found a very confused and...scared? officer looking at them. She was accompanied by Dust and one more police officer, all of whom were staring at them.
"W-we came here to interrogate this delinquent adventurer for his possible involvement with some s-succubi...and here you two are...talking about eating each other for lunch...I will h-have to arrest you for such indecency in public!", said the virgin 18 year old police officer, Sena.
"M-ma'am that's not a real charge-hk?!". The other officer tried to reason with Sena but was quickly backhanded and knocked onto the ground. Sena was reeeally flustered. Probably due to the fact that she had no experience with sex or romance.
Dust too looked at them in confusion. "Is Kazuma truly... a lolicon?!", he thought. "I must share this news with as many people as I can!"
"Wait a minute...what is that bell in your hand?! AND WHY ARE WE BEING ARRESTED YOU YAOI ADDICT?!", Kazuma screamed.
Sena began to tear up in embarrassment, and said,"It's the lie detector bell, you brute! And I-I'm not a yaoi addict! I will have to arrest you for defamation too!"
Kazuma once again got ready to scream his lungs out at the inept officer, but immediately stopped, and fell to his knees. Megumin too comprehended the truth a second later.
The lie detector bell had rung as soon as Kazuma had said that he didn't want to...commit dastardly deeds...with Megumin.
Which meant that he did, in fact, want to have sex with her.
Megumin lit up. She had already known that he did find her attractive, but having it out in the open felt good. Not for Kazuma, of course. He was crestfallen.
Dust too realized the implications of it and started running away at a breakneck speed. "THE ENTIRE TOWN SHALL NOW KNOW THE TRUUUUUUUTTHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Kazuma and Megumin too took off at full speed, keen on stopping him. Sure, they were dating each other but there was no need to let the entire town know they were willing to have sex!
Sena too ran after them. After all, all three of the criminals she was to interrogate had run away.
Her partner started chasing after all four of them, but decided it wasn't worth the effort. His superior was ready to backhand him at a moment's notice. Why should he waste stamina and energy and run after him? He then snickered to himself, because he remembered that Kazuma had mentioned that Sena was addicted to yaoi. It was time to carry out a covert rumour-spreading operation. He stalked off, chuckling and grinning like a mad man. Was this the birth of a new super-villain?!
Poor Yunyun had been forgotten. Oh no, here comes a giant toad.
