The night sky of Líyuè brought comfort to him. It was during the late night where he could look over it while watching the Harbor.
Tonight was like any other night for the former Geo Archon, Rex Lapis. He would always go to Mt. Tianheng and watch the people of Líyuè doing whatever they usually do but this time the streets were all empty as they were all asleep.
His amber eyes scouted the terrain, and found no threats. He sighed, there were no more monsters that used to go near his city ever since the last century.
It had been a decade since the destruction of Celestia. He had killed the Heavenly Sustainer and stole the command of the very Heavens itself. He had gone from a Archon to an Omnipotent god, but death was still possible should he embrace it.
Rex Lapis, now as a disguised mortal named Zhongli, finds himself satisfied at the peaceful night.
He turned back, and climbed down the mountains. By thirty minutes, he was already at his humble abode.
He entered his house and changed to his sleepwear. The man went to his bed and succumbed to the bliss of sleep and the removed burdens from long ago.
He slowly woke up from the shine of light hitting his face and from an abrupt noise. He sat up, and rubbed his eyes before investigating the alarming noise beside him.
On the right of his bed there was a small drawer with a weird device atop it.
—wait a minute.
He looked at the room and found himself confused.
There were many furnitures and items that he doesn't know and his room's design was different.
Where was he?
And then, a painful headache occured. His head was attacked with memories, memories that weren't his. He experienced childhood to adulthood, nursery to college, college to military. All the memories barged into him, and it was all thanks to his willpower that he didn't faint from the splitting headache.
A minute later, and the pain disappeared. His body was sweating and he was panting heavily.
He managed to puzzle out his memories and found out what happened.
He was in the body of his parallel self, who was supposed to be in the battleship Hyperion as the assigned Captain.
He had no time to recollect his thoughts, he had a duty to fulfill. He climbed out of the bed and hurriedly ran for the showers.
In one hour, he was finally at the elevator to the Hyperion. He silently thanked the original owner of this body for making a alarm set for an hour and a half before work.
He straightened the collars of his formal shirt and checked the cufflinks of his sleeves and sighed in relief.
His thoughts were a mess. He didn't have anything else from Teyvat except his powers and his polearm.
He was on a world fighting to survive against the Houkai, beings that plague the world in an attempt to rid the world of Humanity.
But he knows what they are. He knows of who they are. He is a God of Stone and the very rocks tell tales of ages long ago.
Houkai, are creatures created by a god that seeks to destroy humanity. This god, this being is Omniscient, yet he knows he could go toe-to-toe with it. The Honkai God, though powerful, had a weakness.
It was born from the stars. It was a foreign being that believes itself to be born from the beginning of the Universe. It is a creature that still clings on to the past.
He is a Archon, a god born from Heaven and Earth. He is the strongest god amongst the hundreds of gods he had slain. He had destroyed Celestia when it had the goal of destroying mankind and usurped it's very power
The Houkai God is but another divine corpse atop his hill of massacre for the sake of Mankind.
"Captain is on bridge."
The door opened, and he prepared to embrace a newfound goal.
And there we go! This is my very first fanfic but I appreciate reasonable criticism about my writing.
I am new to this whole fanfic writing but i practiced for a month before finally trying to make one.
Also, for those trolls that love sending hate and death threats, encouraging suicide, etc. Then kindly gtfo because those negative feedbacks won't reach me.
For the Honkai fans, I'm sorry but I'm making Zhongli strong asf and capable of fighting against the Honkai god cuz, why not?
This chapter might be small, but next chapters will be longer. Updates, admittedly, will be slow as I plan to polish them and check for errors.
