I'm sorry for the wait on this one. I've had a incredibly busy past couple weeks and Ive been writing this every spare couple moments I have. I didn't want you guys to think I abandoned you again. I hope you enjoy this and as always let me know what you think.

Damon

I parked my car at the restaurant that Elena texted me to go to. I wasn't surprised that they weren't there yet. They were women and sometimes women took ages to get ready; though the effort was always worth it. I knew when I saw Elena, I was going to be left breathless as usual. In a nice dress or even in my t-shirt she was the most beautiful woman to ever grace this earth.

"Fancy meeting you hear mate?" A voice came from behind me.

"Klaus, what the hell are you doing here?" I asked with a laugh. This was a decidedly un-Klaus place to go.

"Meeting my girlfriend, her best friend and the other boyfriend for dinner." He said with a shrug. "How about you? Big dinner with the family?"

"Is your girlfriend by chance Caroline?" I asked not believing my luck could be this good. I was worried Caroline's boyfriend would be some lame douche that I didn't want to spend the evening making small talk with. I was thrilled to spend the evening with Klaus, I could see several double dates in my future if Klaus was Caroline's boyfriend.

"Yeah, why?" He asked.

"My girlfriend is Elena." I told him and I could see the recognition cross his face.

"No shit?! That's great." Klaus enthused.

We talked while we waited for the girls. I wondered if maybe Elena had issues leaving Scarlett. Maybe she decided to be shy with my parents and was making it hard for Elena to leave.

"Women are always late. Especially Caroline. I swear at some point I will remember to be ten minutes late anytime we go out." Klaus muttered with a shake of his head.

"Yeah but that will be the time she's on time, and you're late. The chance of getting laid that night would be slim to none." I alerted him and he laughed.

"You're probably right." He said as we watched Caroline's car pulled into the lot. When the car was stopped Elena leaped out and walked over to us. I could see Caroline fixing her lipstick in the car.

"Hey, I'm so sorry we're late. Caroline was having problems with her makeup." Elena told us offering me a quick kiss. "You must be Klaus, I'm Elena."

"Nice to meet you. I've heard so much about you and Scarlett." Klaus said politely.

"I'm glad that the two of you got to know each other. It could have been so boring if you guys had to wait alone." Elena said and Klaus and I chuckled. "What did I miss?"

"Klaus and I have known each other since we were children." I told her and she grinned.

"Really? That's an amazing coincidence." She enthused just as Caroline came up and went to stand next to Klaus.

"What's an amazing coincidence?" She asked taking Klaus's hand.

"The fact that Damon and I have been friends for years, love." He said and she grinned.

"Of course, two sets of friends would find each other." Caroline cheered clapping her hands. "Now let's go, we don't want to miss our reservation."

Caroline got us to our table and the talking didn't stop until the waiter came and took our orders. The food was great; I knew it would be because it was a restaurant my family frequented. But the company was even better. Caroline kept bringing up Scarlett, but I could tell Elena didn't want to constantly talk about her on her day away from her. Elena was realizing that there was more to her life than just Scarlett; which was healthy especially with how dedicated Elena was to Scarlett.

"So how did that happen? You living with Elena and her daughter." Klaus asked and Elena smiled, and Caroline took Klaus's hand.
"Elena's parents are assholes and kicked her out when they found out she was pregnant, so my mom took her in. We've been together ever since." Caroline explained.

"Yeah Caroline pretty much saved my life. There is no way I could have finished school and got into university without her. She made it so I could still have a life even though I became a mother so young." Elena confessed. Her and Caroline shared a smile and I realized even more so that the girl I was falling in love with wouldn't be that girl without her best friend.

"Do we want to hit up Bonnie's before we go home for the night? I could handle a beer." I suggested. Everyone agreed so we paid the cheque and got into our respective cars.

"So, I think on the way home tonight we should leave your car here and just take our cars since you're both going home with one of us." I suggested.

"Sounds good to me." Elena and Caroline agreed. Bonnie got us a round of beers and we sat at the only available table.
"So, are we going to see you for karaoke next week Elena?" Bonnie asked.

"Absolutely. I was so busy this week and last that I couldn't even imagine doing anything else." She admitted.

"Never apologize. I know how busy school is, it's why I dropped out. Now I'll let you get back to your date, holler if you need anything." She said before walking away.

"This was the best night I've had in a long time." Caroline sighed happily. "I'm with almost all of my favourite people at the same time."

"This has been a great night." I agreed. Once we had our fill of beer, but we were still sober enough to drive we got up to leave. Caroline and Elena hugged while I said goodbye to Klaus and started walking to my Camaro. Elena caught up to me and kissed me quickly.

"Did you have fun?" I asked as we drove back to my house. We weren't overly late; my parents would likely still be up. The lights were still on when I parked in front of my house. My parents were sitting in the family room watching tv when we got home.

"How was your night?" my mom asked, and Elena smiled at her.

"It was wonderful, thank you so much for watching my baby. How was she?" Elena asked.

"She was so much fun. She was so happy all night and she went to bed like a little angel. I gave her yogurt and oranges for a bedtime snack." My mom told Elena.

"That's great. I'm glad she had such a great night. Where is she sleeping?" She asked.

"The room right next to Damon's. I figured you'd want to sleep near her, and we figured you'd be sleeping in Damon's room." Elena thanked her and turned to walk up the stairs. I said goodnight to my parents and followed her. We stopped first at Scarlett's room and checked on her. I waited at the door while Elena kissed her forehead and told her she loved her. When she was done, she partially closed her door and took my hand. I closed my bedroom door behind us, and she smiled at me.

"Now what? I'd tell you what I want but I hope you want the same thing." She told me and I laughed.

"I always want that." I told her as I wrapped my arms around her waist, fumbling with the zipper on her dress.

"So, I think we should do that, then go to sleep so we can hang out with my daughter in the morning." She said and I kissed her ardently. As we kissed, I pulled the tab on her dress and let it hang open. She shimmied a little and stepped back from me so it could fall down her arms and pool at her waist. I knew that with Scarlett being here, being interrupted was a real possibility so I picked her up and carried her over to my bed. She giggled a bit when I dropped her on the bed, her laugh was my favourite sound in the world. There was a real possibility that I was falling in love with her. I'd never felt like this with anyone in my life. She sat up and wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down on top of her.

"I need to take my clothes off or if this is going to go any further." I teased her. She reached down to the button on my pants and undid it with a smirk on her face. I lifted up so she could push them down along with my boxer briefs. When they were low enough, I kicked them off while she wrapped her hand around my erection. It took me no time at all to get hard when I'm with her. She excites me so much that I'm basically walking around at half-mast whenever were together or I'm thinking about her.

"Make love to me Damon." She whispered. I kissed her gently before sliding inside her slowly. She wrapped her legs around my waist pulling me deeper into her body. I kissed her again, swallowing her moans of pleasure. I really didn't want my parents or Scarlett hearing this.

"I'm so close." She sighed when I changed my angle slightly.

"Come with me." I replied knowing I was really close. Sex had never been this good before, I was beginning to wonder if the feelings had anything to do with it. Her eyes squeezed shut and her internal muscles flexed around me just before I released inside her.

"I love you, Elena." I whispered into the darkness.
