Epilogue:

Angela managed to fully unravel the damages the serums did to the soldier enhancement program recruits, most of it thanks to Gabe's cooperation. They both had a mutual respect and understanding of each other now. She still had days when she'd get flashbacks, those don't just vanish and she wasn't trying to be destructive about it. She instead focused on lending a hand on research to people who needed extra help or funding. She was able to push through a lot of new Doctors through the doors of Overwatch. Giving them careers they may not have had access to before, because while there is more peace in the world, there are still corporations. That is something that she was unable to help defeat.

Otherwise, her and Jack would spend nights, snuggling, watching things they loved. Taking long hikes and camping. She even started dancing again, her office grew in size to accommodate her old love of the therapeutic act. Jack would try to sneak by and catch a glimpse of her, he was still enamoured by her. Eventually they always figured something would fade, but the sparks they had remained. If anything, it grew more and more passionate as they aged.

Gabe and Jack resumed their friendship, regularly having cook offs and challenging each other constantly. Turning whatever they could into a competition, but always having a good laugh about most of it. Sometimes when it came to food their tempers would flare, before shaking hands and enjoying a beer together.

Gabe also restored his relationship with Cole, and had a civil relationship with Krysta. Nobody looked for him, he almost became a legend. It bothered Jack that his old friend became more of a legend than reality, that he was fading out of public consciousness was exactly what Gabe wanted. He didn't want people to remember the horrible things he did, he wanted to remain hidden. So when given the chance, they had to keep erasing his information from popping up in news, or any gossip source. But the job was fairly simple, every once in a while he would be brought up but mostly in a side note.

For a man who always wanted recognition, he had more than enough of his fill and the price that he paid for it. He did talk to someone about all of this, to help with his healing. Rumors would indicate that it's Zenyatta, but reality would be Genji. Who helped him in return, their shared history with Blackwatch helped validate and explain how everything happened, and how the manipulation of Gabe was able to happen. Having that realization helped them both heal a lot more than either expected.

Jack and Angela still managed to not age much, despite so many decades. The only noticeable difference being Jack's hair did go white for real at some point.

Once the world began to accept that peace was possible, it opened so many doors, a lot of people attributed it to Overwatch, Winston who helped bring it back, and everyone else who fought so hard to make it all possible.

So Jack and Angela could finally retire, deep in the forests, regularly having their chosen family stopping in; for food, friendship, medical work or just to get away for a while.

John was eventually promoted to a Commander alongside his partner, in all ways, Cole. Their dedication to Overwatch and keeping the peace was something to rival their own parents. Bastion would spend a lot of time at the Overwatch headquarters, learning to relax, Bastion would divide his time outside of Overwatch between Genji's meditation and spending time with Angela and Jack. They always appreciated Bastion and Ganymede's company.

Gareth was working hard on music, and keeping himself occupied with creative endeavours. He eventually bought his own land out in the forest like his parents. Sometimes he'd do a random public show, and his parents would always be somewhere in the crowd, happily admiring their son's musical abilities, while laughing at their own lack of creativity in that field.

The fall and rise of Overwatch was detailed, the museum had so many additions, including the repaired statue of Jack. Winston, still occasionally working at Overwatch became the lead of the Museum as well, eventually retiring from Overwatch to exclusively work and regail to the guests the stories of Overwatch and it's many heroes, himself included.

Genji returned to hiding after some time and contemplation. He felt his duty to Overwatch was completed, so he could nestle away in the mountains, meditating and teaching others to remain focused on their goals. He would still visit his "favorite family" regularly.

Lena and Emily had a beautiful wedding, adopted some fantastic children, while Lena remained as a senior Commander, at least in title. Winston and Angela figured out a stabilized fix so that the chronal accelerator was only used in emergencies, and no longer was a required item she needed. But raising kids does have her reaching for it more often than not!

Hanzo, Junkrat and Jesse were very "law abiding" citizens, who often stopped any dealings that seemed to go awry that crossed their paths. They are probably wanted in about 10 countries (at least! the number is closer to 50). They were still able to visit the Forest where Jack and Angela lived, often escaping into the woods to find the same solace that Angela and Jack had.

Ana, Reinhardt, Torbjorn and Ingrid always made sure to spend their holidays with their Overwatch family.

What could make them happier than that? Happy kids, happy family and a world not as cruel as they came into it in.

So there you have it. I hope it wasn't a let down. I don't know what to say, I've been writing this for years, and a lot of lore changes have changed. So I feel extremely guilty for erasing Jack's sexuaity. That was NEVER my intention, i think when they had him come out, i was already somewhere up to like 75? chapters or something of this, so i would feel bad quitting the story, this is afterall fanfiction. But for those of you who feel angry that I kept him with Angela, I'm sorry. It's non canon, and if i knew he was Gay before writing this, i wouldn't have shipped it in the first place because i'm Queer, and i wouldn't want to erase anyone's sexuality. My goodness, I tried to correct my mistakes but my goodness so many lore reveals (and YET! still no Mercy( Besides that little bit of lore but did that count?/Lucio/ Zenyatta/ etc lore... anyways! ).

I apologize if this sounds like a lot of excuses. I have truly appreciated every view and review, it really meant a lot to me, this was my first public fic! and gosh, i never thought i would write this much about them.

I still have some like, trimmed for "i ramble too much and cannot justify posting this as a part of this main plotline" stuff. I don't know if i will add any of that to this fic, but might.

I know i keep saying "Thank you", but i do mean it, this community and you guys have given me some confidence to write. So that is something that I am really grateful for. Thank you.
